Chapter 46
The next morning, Leonard woke up seeing Penny and Sarah still asleep. He took his glasses from the nightstand and put them on, smiling at seeing his girls tangled in their arms with mouths slightly open. He sat up rubbing the sleep off his eyes when Penny stirred, opening her eyes and smiling at him while pulling him back to lie on the bed.
"Come back here." she said as Leonard lied down, putting his arm over his daughter, holding Penny's hand.
"Good morning honey." he whispered while looking at his fiance.
"Good morning." Penny said smiling at him.
"I think this young lady would be sleeping with us for most nights huh?" he said.
"I don't mind." she said. "At least I'll have some force field to defend myself from you." she said laughing a little the same time as Sarah woke up. "Good morning sweetie!" she said kissing the child on the cheek.
Sarah turned and hugged Penny. "Can you keep it down, I'm trying to sleep here." said Sarah, making the couple laugh.
Leonard then pushed his face on the back of Sarah's neck, making her scream of laughter. "We're disturbing you huh!?" he said as he won't stop tickling his daughter.
"Daddy stop that!" Sarah said while trying to wiggle herself out of the couple as Penny joined in tickling her.
"Did you have a bad dream last night?" Penny asked as they began to settle on the bed.
"No mommy." said Sarah.
"That's good to know sweetheart!" said Penny kissing Sarah on the cheek.
"Mommy, can I sleep here from time to time?" Sarah asked.
"Of course you can sweetie!" Penny said. "Your dad won't mind, right honey?" said Penny as Sarah turned to look at her father.
"No problem honey. You can sleep with us anytime." he said reassuring his daughter.
"Thank you daddy. You're really great." said Sarah.
"Okay, now why don't we get up because we have a lot to do today!" said Penny as she sat up on the bed while slightly fixing her hair.
"What are we doing today?" asked Leonard.
"Daddy, did you forget? We're going to meet with the wedding planner!" said Sarah.
"Oh right." said Leonard.
"Daddy, you should pay attention to these things because you're the one getting married!" said Sarah making the couple laugh.
"You're right honey. I'll keep that in mind from now on." said Leonard as he helped Sarah off the bed.
"Don't worry sweetheart, your dad is just gonna sit there while we pick out the designs ourselves." said Penny as she took Sarah by the hand, pulling her out of the bedroom.
"Can we choose which flowers to use mommy?" asked Sarah.
"We can choose whatever we want." she said smiling at Sarah. "Now why don't you wash up in the bathroom while I make us something to eat alright?" Penny added as Sarah went to the bathroom.

A couple of hours later, Leonard found himself in the office of the restaurant manager while Penny and Sarah were busy mixing and matching designs for the wedding. The couple decided to have the wedding at this particular restaurant as they offered a complete package for the wedding rites and reception, making it a one-stop shop for them.
"Are you alright honey?" Penny asked Leonard.
"I'm doing good. You girls just take your time alright?" said Leonard, smiling at Penny.
Penny turned her attention back to the design catalog while Sarah leafed through it. "How about this one, you like this color?" she asked Sarah.
"Looks good mom, I think it would be perfect with this one." Sarah said as she pointed to another page.
"Wow, you really have a good taste for design huh?" said Alicia, the wedding planner. "You must be very excited for your mom and dad's wedding huh?" she asked the child.
"I am. My uncle Sheldon even bought me a silver tiara and I'm gonna wear it on the wedding!" said Sarah making Leonard and Penny laugh.
"A tiara? Like the one's a princess would wear?" asked Alicia.
"Uh huh. My name actually means a princess so I guess it fits." said Sarah.
Alicia smiled at her. "Well I'm sure you'll look so beautiful on the wedding." she said.
"Thank you, but I don't want to upstage my mommy on her wedding day." said Sarah making Leonard and Penny laugh.
"Don't worry sweetie, I don't mind if you upstage me on my wedding day." Penny said kissing her on the cheek.
They continued choosing different themes and designs for the wedding and reception, eventually settling for a simple yet elegant design that Penny and Sarah liked.
Penny then turned to Leonard who saw the final look. "Honey, what do you think?" she asked.
"I think it looks perfect." said Leonard.
"I think so too!" said Penny, touching his cheek.
"Okay so I guess this is it huh?" asked Alicia.
"Yes Alicia, I guess this is it." said Penny.
"Okay got it." said Alicia. "Don't worry, we'll make it perfect for you guys." she added as Leonard and Penny shook her hand. "And as for you young princess, we'll see you on the wedding day alright?" she said kneeling in front of Sarah, touching her cheek.
"Thank you Ms. Alicia." said Sarah.
"You're welcome baby girl!" Alicia said as they young family went out of the office.
"So what's next in our list?" asked Leonard as they walked back to his car.
"Well, Bernie and Amy organized a bachelorette party for me tonight?" Penny said.
"Where are you guys going?" asked Leonard as they got into the car.
"They didn't say and I told them I didn't want anything crazy." Penny said as she put on her seat belt.
"Okay, I guess me and Sarah would just wait for you tonight huh?" said Leonard.
"Can I come with you mommy?" Sarah asked.
"Aww, I'm sorry sweetie, but these things are for grown-ups only." Penny said giving Sarah a sad look. "Don't worry, I'll try to go home early okay?" Penny added.
Sarah nodded. "Okay mommy. Just don't drink too much okay?" she said making the couple laugh.
"I promise I won't drink as much." said Penny.
Amy and Bernadette swung by the apartment to fetch Penny for her bachelorette party at a nearby bar. All of Penny's co-workers from the boutique is already there as well as a few of Penny's friends from The Cheesecake Factory.
"Bye honey! I'm going now." Penny said kissing Leonard on the cheek then going over to Sarah on the couch. "I promise I'll be home early. And don't worry, I won't drink too much sweetheart." Penny said kissing Sarah on the cheek.
"Have fun mommy." said the child.
"I will sweetie." Penny said as she stood up, going to the door. "Bye you two!" she said waving goodbye to them.

Penny burst through the apartment door, drunk and reeking of alcohol. "Honey! I'm home!" she playfully yelled as Amy and Bernadette followed close behind, giggling and laughing with her.
"Wake up Dr. Hofstadter!" Bernadette yelled as Leonard emerged from the hallway, tying his robe.
"Are you guys drunk?" asked Leonard, trying to focus his eyes.
"Yes we're so very drunk!" Amy said as she struggled to stand up.
"Looks like you guys had so much fun huh?" he said as he stood by Penny who draped her arms over his shoulder.
"Amy had fun for sure! She just ripped that place apart! Isn't that right Amy!?" said Bernadette.
"Oh, I tore that place a new one alright!" said Amy making the girls giggle and laugh.
"What did you do, hire a male stripper or something?" asked Leonard.
"Well I didn't hire him, they did!" said Penny as Leonard sighed and hung his head.
"And then what?" he asked.
Penny smiled at him, kissing his cheek. "Don't worry honey, my body's still your wonderland!" she said making the girls giggle more. "I gotta tell you, there isn't too much space to put those dollar bills on a male stripper's g-string!" she said laughing out loud.
"Oh my god." said Leonard as he hung his head low.
"Stop freaking out Leonard, Penny didn't do anything crazy. I promise." said Bernadette while winking at him. "It's Amy who did all the crazy stuff!" she added making Penny laugh out loud.
"Amy what did you do?" Leonard asked.
"Oh nothing much." Amy said trying hard not to say anything.
"You call making out with one of the girls nothing!?" Penny said as Bernadette giggled.
"You made out with a girl!?" Leonard said trying hard not to freak out.
"You know how it is, you drink too much, you lower your shields. Please, you cannot tell this to Sheldon!" Amy said.
Leonard sighed. "Fine. I won't say anything." he said. "Who's gonna drive you guys home?" he asked.
"Oh we're just gonna get a cab." said Bernadette. "Come on Amy, let's leave these two love birds alone." she said pulling Amy out of the apartment and slamming the door shut.
Penny then turned to face Leonard. "You on the other hand should go and wait for me in the bedroom while I freshen up. We have a lot of things to do." she said winking at him.
"Honey you're drunk. Just sleep this off please." said Leonard as Sarah came out into the hallway, rubbing her eyes.
"Mommy, what's happening?" asked Sarah.
Leonard went and lifted Sarah in his arms. "Honey, let's get you back to bed okay. Your mommy is tired." he said.
Sarah looked over to Penny. "Mommy are you drunk?" she asked.
Penny smiled at Sarah, kissing her cheek. "I just had a little to drink sweetie. Don't worry okay?" said Penny.
"You smell funny mommy." said Sarah, getting a little anxious of her stepmother's inebriated state.
Penny giggled from Sarah's comment. "I do smell funny." she said. "Don't worry sweetie, I'm just gonna sleep this off okay?" Penny said.
Sarah didn't say anything as she rested her head on Leonard's shoulder. "Don't be scared honey. Your mommy's gonna be alright." he said as he carried his daughter to her bedroom.
About ten minutes later, Penny entered their bedroom as Leonard laid on his side, facing away from the door. She removed her robe and slipped under the covers, putting her arm over her fiance. Leonard turned to face Penny.
"Are you mad at me?" Penny asked.
"No." he said. "Don't worry about it. Just get some sleep and hope you'll have no hangover tomorrow." he said.
"How's the princess?" she asked.
"She'll be alright. I guess this was the first time she saw you drunk so you can't blame her for being a little scared." he said.
"Don't worry, I'll make it up to her tomorrow." Penny moved and kissed him on the cheek. "Good night honey." she said as she closed her eyes to get some sleep.

The next morning, Penny woke up with a bad hangover and headache. She looked at her nightstand and saw a small note with two Aspirin pills beside a glass of water. The note was from Leonard telling her to take the Aspirin to relieve her headache. She smiled at her fiance's thoughtfulness as she took the pills before getting up to wash up in the bathroom. After washing up, she went to the living room finding Leonard and Sarah in the kitchen, making breakfast together. They saw her as she sat on the couch, nursing her headache.
"Good morning mommy!" said Sarah.
"Ugh, good morning sweetie." said Penny as she leaned her head back on the couch.
Leonard poured some coffee and gave the cup to Sarah. "Give this to your mom honey." he said as Sarah went to Penny, giving her the cup of coffee.
"Ugh, thank you sweetheart. I'm sorry if you got scared last night." she said.
"How are you feeling mommy?" asked Sarah.
"My head feels like it's about to split in half but don't worry, I'm gonna be fine now." she said while touching Sarah's face.
"I thought you said that you won't drink as much?" said Sarah.
"I did but I guess we lost track of time and had too much fun." said Penny. "I promise it won't happen again." she added.
"It's alright mommy. I guess people do silly things when they drink wine huh?" Sarah said making Leonard and Penny laugh.
"They sure do honey." said Leonard. "Now why don't you let your mommy rest and help me make breakfast?" he said.
Sarah stood up and went to help Leonard in the kitchen while Penny looked at them, thankful that her step-daughter and fiance didn't give her a hard time for her crazy blowout the night before.
