Chapter 50

The young family was sitting together with their family and friends, resting for a bit while the restaurant staff started to clean up the vacant tables and some of the decorations on the hall.

"Did you have fun sweetie?" Penny asked Sarah while putting her arm around the child.

"I did mommy. I just wish I didn't cry when Ms. Liana asked me to speak." said Sarah making the gang smile.

"It's alright honey, you just got nervous that's all." Leonard reassured his daughter.

"If you want, you can say it to us now?" said Penny. "Just pretend that it's just me and your dad here." she said.

Sarah nodded and got off her seat to face the couple while the gang and their family waited for the child to speak. "Mommy, daddy, thank you for taking good care of me. I love you." said Sarah making the couple cry for the heartfelt message of their daughter.

"Aww, that is so sweet honey!" Leonard said, pulling Sarah close to hug her.

"We love you so much sweetheart!" Penny said while kissing her stepdaughter.

"Mommy?" Sarah asked.

"Yes sweetie?" said Penny.

"Are you and daddy gonna give me a baby sister or a baby brother soon?" asked Sarah making the gang and the grandparents laugh.

The couple was surprised and tried not to freak out and panic. "Uh sweetheart, your dad and I haven't decided yet because we want to focus on you. But maybe soon, okay!?" Penny said.

"Your mom's right honey, we just have to wait alright?" said Leonard smiling at his daughter.

"How long are we gonna wait?" asked Sarah.

Penny hesitated, looking at Leonard for help until Beverly decided to chime in, gently pulling her granddaughter to her side. "Sarah dear, having a baby is not that easy. It's a big decision that your mom and dad has to make so they could take better care of you and the baby." said Beverly.

"Your grandma is right princess, your mom and dad have their own jobs, they have you, and if they're gonna have a new baby they have to make sure that they could do all that." Alfred said.

"He's right slugger. Although, I wouldn't complain if you two give me a few grandchildren. I mean I'm not getting any younger to tell you honestly!" said Wyatt making Susan pinch him on the side.

"Wyatt!?" Susan said.

"What? I'm just being honest!" Wyatt said to his wife.

"Can't you see it's making them uncomfortable?" Susan said, referring to the newly-wed couple.

Wyatt sighed. "Fine. I'm sorry. I'm sure you two would be amazing parents." said Wyatt.

"Thanks dad." said Penny.

Sheldon then stood up and reached into his coat pocket, handing an envelope to Leonard. Leonard was curious as he took the envelope. "Sheldon, what's this?" he asked.

"Oh, it's something from me and Amy. A little family getaway I suppose." said Sheldon as Leonard and Penny looked at the contents of the envelope. "Plane tickets and a hotel reservation in San Francisco for three." Sheldon added making the couple laugh with excitement.

"Oh my god! This is amazing!" Penny said while looking at the tickets.

"Wow! Thanks guys! That is so generous!" Leonard added.

Penny showed the tickets to Sarah. "Sweetheart look at this, we're going to San Francisco! Isn't this exciting!?" Penny said to the child.

"It's alright mommy. You and dad can go. I'm gonna stay home with aunt Cathy." Sarah said, surprising everyone.

"What do you mean honey? You don't want to go with us?" Leonard asked.

"I'm not going daddy." said his daughter.

"Sweetie, why don't you want to go with us?" Penny asked.

"Because, you and daddy just got married and I know that you need some time alone with each other." said Sarah. "You know, to do 'mom and dad' stuff." she added, shocking everybody.

"Oh god!" Penny said while covering her face with her hands.

Leonard looked at his daughter. "Honey, who told you that?" he calmly asked.

"Uncle Sheldon did." said Sarah greatly aggravating Leonard as everyone gave Sheldon a stern look.

"Sheldon!" Leonard yelled as he stood up to confront his best friend. Sheldon quickly jumped, hiding behind Amy and using her as a human shield. "How could you say something like that to my daughter!?" he added.

"Leonard I swear I didn't say anything inappropriate to her!" said Sheldon while hiding behind Amy who was equally angry at him.

"Sheldon Lee Cooper! I am so disappointed at you!" Mary yelled.

"I'm sorry mom. I swear I didn't teach her anything!" said Sheldon.

Sarah looked up to Penny. "I'm sorry mommy." she said.

Penny hugged her stepdaughter to console her. "Don't be sweetheart, you did nothing wrong." said Penny.

Amy elbowed Sheldon's side, stepping aside from him. "I can't believe you used me as a human shield!" Amy yelled at Sheldon.

"Daddy please don't be mad." said Sarah.

"I'm giving you one minute to explain yourself!" Leonard said to Sheldon.

Sheldon took a deep breath. "I'm sorry Leonard. I was talking to your daughter the other day when she was at your office and she asked me about the thing she saw on TV where the newly wed couple goes on their honeymoon." he said. "I told her it's usually the case so that they would have time for each other, although I may have added the 'mom and dad' stuff." he added while bowing his head.

Sarah ran to her father to calm him down. "Daddy please don't be angry. Uncle Sheldon never said anything bad." she said.

Leonard sighed and knelt in front of Sarah. "Okay, then tell me what did he say about the 'mom and dad' stuff." he said.

"Leonard!?" Penny said.

"You know, going out on dates, going to the beach, holding hands, maybe kissing, that sort of stuff." said Sarah.

"Oh my god." said Penny, covering her face with her hands with Leonard doing the same.

"Daddy please!. And besides, I already decided to stay behind with aunt Cathy." Sarah added.

"Honey, are you sure?" asked Leonard.

"I'm sure daddy." said Sarah.

Penny knelt in front of her. "Sweetheart?" said Penny.

"It's alright mommy. I want you and daddy to have fun." she said. "And aunt Cathy already agreed to stay with me for a while." she added.

"She's right Leonard. I could really use a break from the store." said Cathy.

Leonard took a deep breath. "Alright." he said.

"Sweetie are you sure?" Penny said.

"I'm sure mommy!" said Sarah.

"Then I guess you won't mind if I stay for a while too huh?" said Beverly.

"Really grandma!?" Sarah asked, becoming excited.

"Of course dear. I guess I could use the break." said Beverly as Sarah ran to hug her grandmother.

Penny sighed and took Leonard's hand. "Okay. I guess it's just gonna be me and you huh?" she said to her husband.

"Yeah I guess." said Leonard kissing her cheek.

After saying thank you and goodbye to their friends, the couple went back to the hotel to retire and rest. Sarah chose to stay with Beverly and Cathy in their hotel room while Wyatt and Susan chose to stay at the apartment with Alfred joining them, taking Sarah's room. The couple reached the hotel while being welcomed and congratulated by the hotel reception and staff. Leonard and Penny reached their floor and went straight to their room.

"Wait." Penny said before they entered their room.

"What happened?" asked Leonard as Penny quickly jumped on his back, holding tightly on his shoulders. Leonard grabbed her by the legs and let Penny have her way as he carried his wife on his back slowly stepping inside their room while Penny laughed and giggled. Leonard slowly put her on the bed as he try to catch his breath.

"Good job honey! That was so much fun!" Penny said as Leonard joined her on the bed while kissing her lips.

"Honey... did... you... lock... the... door?" Penny asked as Leonard wouldn't stop kissing her.

Leonard quickly broke off and ran to the door, locking it before returning to his wife. Leonard pulled her off the bed and turned her around, while starting to undress her.

"How do you take this thing off anyways?" he asked as he had trouble unclasping and unzipping her wedding dress.

"You're a genius but you can't figure this out?" Penny said laughing and teasing her husband.

"Aw come on, this is so impossible!" he said becoming a little frustrated. After a few minutes, he found what he was looking for and was able to undo Penny's dress, carefully taking it off while turning her around to face him. Penny smiled as she stood in front of him, wearing only her underwear. "You are so beautiful." he said as he pulled her close to kiss her.

Penny slowly broke off as she started to undress her husband, starting with his coat, then loosening his tie and shirt. After a few minutes, Leonard stood in front of his wife wearing only his batman boxer shorts.

Penny stared at him, trying hard not to laugh. "Ugh I can't believe you would wear your batman boxer shorts on your wedding day!?" Penny said while rolling her eyes.

"What can I say, this has brought me me nothing but good luck!" he said as he slowly put his arm around Penny.

Penny wrapped her arms around his neck, putting her face close to his. "Oh yeah? Tell me." she said smiling at him.

"I was wearing this the first time we met." he said making Penny laugh out loud.

"You're kidding!" Penny said.

"I'm not." he said. "I was also wearing this when we got the approval to upgrade my lab equipment!" he said.

"Now you're just showing off mister!" she said as she slowly kissed his lips while tightening her embrace.

Leonard quickly grabbed her by the thighs and lifted her up as Penny held onto his shoulders. He slowly laid her on the bed as Penny pulled him close, kissing him passionately while Leonard moved on top of his wife, pulling the covers while making love under them.

Penny woke up, trying to focus her eyes around the dimly lit room. She reached over and felt that her husband wasn't on the bed anymore. She turned over and saw him dressed in his robe, looking over the balcony. Penny slowly sat up, pulling the sheets to wrap around her body as she combed her hair with her fingers. She got off the bed and walked towards her husband, wrapping her arms around his body and hugging him from behind.

"Hey." Leonard said softly. "You were snoring." he added.

"Mmmm." Penny muttered as she rests her head on his shoulder.

"Are you hungry?" he asked.

"No, I just want you." Penny said. "Let's get back to bed." she said while pulling him back into the bedroom. Penny took off the sheet revealing her naked body to her husband before lying on the bed. Leonard joined her while pulling the sheets to cover them as Penny snuggled against him, wrapping her arm around him.

"I love you so much." he said, kissing her lips.

"Hmmm." she muttered. "I'm so excited that we're going to San Francisco for our honeymoon." she said while resting her head on his shoulder.

"Me too. I wanna be furious at Sheldon but you can't deny that he somehow convinced Sarah to stay behind with my sister and let us have time for ourselves." said Leonard.

"Yeah. We're gonna have so much fun!" she said.

"You're right honey." he said. "I think this will be the longest time that we're gonna be together without my daughter. Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter but this is such a welcome change of pace." he said.

"It's a good thing that you raised her well." she said. "She's so sweet, so thoughtful and like my husband, she doesn't shy away from saying how much she loves me." Penny said.

"Well, she's daddy little princess." said Leonard as she pulled Penny in for a kiss.

"Hmmm, I think someone is getting excited again!" she said.

"Come here Mrs. Hofstadter!" he said as he moved on top of her to make love again under the covers.
