Chapter 69
"Oh my god! You look amazing Sarah!" said Bernadette as Sarah walked in front of them, trying a dress that she's gonna wear on her wedding as one of the flower girls.
"You think so aunt Bernie?" Sarah said, smiling while admiring herself in front of the mirror.
"You look amazing sweetheart!" Penny said while drinking her glass of orange juice with Amy and Bernadette drinking their champagne.
"Your mom is right Sarah...I'm sure you'll turn a lot of heads over there." said Amy.
"Are you gonna wear your tiara aunt Amy?" asked Sarah.
"Of course...and you have to wear yours too so we'll match...okay?" said Amy, making Penny and Bernadette smile.
"Okay." Sarah said while turning around to check herself in front of the mirror again.
One of the stylist went near Sarah to fix the dress. "Hey...why don't you try another dress so you would have more choices…what do you say?" asked the stylist.
"Can I do that?" asked Sarah.
"Of course!" the stylist said. "We'll bring out a few more dresses so you could try them on...alright?" she added.
"Woah!" Penny said, touching her baby bump. "That's a strong one."
"Are you alright mom?" asked Sarah.
"Yeah...it's just your brother is a little restless in there." said Penny.
"Do you need anything Penny?" asked Bernadette.
"I'm good Bernie." Penny said.
"Seems like William is really excited to come out huh?" Amy said.
"Yeah..." Penny said, smiling while touching her belly. "Slow down son...you just take it easy in there alright?" she added.
Sarah sat beside Penny and leaned over on her baby bump. "Hey William, just don't give mom a hard time okay?" she said, whispering near her belly.
Penny smiled at her daughter. "I think he's okay now sweetheart...thanks." she said.
Sarah tried a few more dresses, finally settling for a simple design that she and Penny liked. Amy and Bernadette also settled for their dresses, choosing a simple yet elegant design that they knew the guys would approve even if they're not into this kind of stuff.

"We're home!" Penny said as she and Sarah stepped inside the apartment, finding Leonard on the couch watching TV.
"How was it? Did you girls have fun?" Leonard said as Penny sat beside him, resting her tired feet on the coffee table.
"Look at my dress dad...it's nice isn't it?" Sarah said while handing a garment bag to her father. Leonard opened it and was impressed at how elegant his daughter's dress was.
"Wow...this looks great!" said Leonard while looking at the dress.
"Really? You like it?" asked Sarah.
"Yeah...of course...I'm pretty sure you'd look great in this." he said.
"Thank you dad." said Sarah, sitting beside him as Leonard carefully put the dress back in the garment bag. "So what do you guys want to eat? Mexican? Chinese? Maybe pizza?" he asked.
"I want Chinese...maybe some Chow Mein or those stir-fried noodles?" said Penny. "This young man has been kicking inside my belly for the past few hours." she said while touching her baby bump.
Leonard smiled and touched Penny's belly. "Really? Wow...that is awesome. Hey buddy...you just relax in there okay? We can't wait to finally meet you." he whispered near Penny's belly. "But right now, I have to get you and your mom fed so you'd be strong and healthy...alright?" he added.
"Thanks honey...I'm gonna wash up and you order for us...okay?" she said, kissing Leonard before standing up to go to the bathroom.
"I think I just lost my appetite." Sarah said, teasing her parents.
"Ha! Ha! Very funny!" Leonard said sarcastically, returning the young lady's swipe.
Penny laughed. "Hilarious!" Penny said, taking her husband's side before closing the bathroom door.
"Maybe you better wash up after your mom...I'm gonna call the restaurant and order our food." he said, taking his phone out of his pocket.
Their order arrived half an hour later as Leonard prepared the food on the coffee table.
"Hmmm...that smells really delicious." said Penny, spooning some food on a plate before handing it over to Sarah.
"Thanks mom." said the young lady.
"So how was your time with the guys in the tuxedo shop?" asked Penny as they started eating.
"Well...you know how it is...the usual crazy ideas from Sheldon." said Leonard, making the two girls laugh.
"What did uncle Sheldon do?" asked Sarah.
"You know how it is...all the social convention crap that should be done in a wedding...like in some cultures, the would-be groom should have at least two cows and a handful of goats before the father would allow his daughter to be married to him." said Leonard, making the girls laugh some more.
"What about you dad?" asked Sarah.
"What about me?" Leonard asked, curious about his daughter's question.
"How many cows or goats do you think mom is worth?" Sarah asked, surprising the couple with her weird question.
Leonard was stumped and just stared at her girls. "Well mister? I'm waiting?" said Penny, giving him a stern look.
"Well...you'd be worth a unicorn...or maybe a T-Rex." said Leonard, making Sarah laugh.
"Good answer dad!" said the young lady, giving Leonard a high five.
"Unicorn huh?" Penny said, impressed by her husband's response. "Come here you..." she added, pulling him close before kissing his lips.
Sarah shook her head in disagreement before returning to her food. "So gross." she said.
"Let's just eat." said Leonard as they continued eating. after a few minutes, they looked at each other and burst out laughing. "That's a good one huh?"
"Yeah...good one honey!" Penny said, kissing him on the cheek.
"Good one dad!" Sarah said as they continued eating.

Later that night, Sarah was already in bed ready to sleep when Penny came out of the bathroom, dressed in her night shirt as she walked towards their bedroom. She opened the door and stepped inside, as Leonard looked at her with awe, finding her beautiful despite her prominent baby bump.
"Well...what are you looking at?" Penny asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
Leonard smiled. "Nothing honey...it's just...you're so beautiful." he said.
Penny sighed. "I know you're just trying to get on my good side...I mean look at me...I look like a whale..." she said, referring to her figure.
Leonard got off the bed and walked towards her, holding her hand before kissing her lips. "Honey...no matter how pregnant you get...you're still the most beautiful girl to me." he said. "Well...you and my daughter...but that's a different thing..." he added, making Penny giggle.
"Why don't you prove it to me...sailor..." she said as she laid on the bed, giving her husband a seductive look.
Leonard got excited and quickly turned off the lights before laying beside his wife. "Come here little miss." he said, pulling her gently close before hiking up her night shirt.
"Shut up and kiss me." said Penny as Leonard put his arms around her as he carefully moved into his wife, making sure not to hurt her or the baby.

A week after...
"Almost done...there..." said Penny, putting on the the tiara as a final touch to Sarah's look. "What do you think" she asked as Sarah turned around to face the mirror.
"Thanks mom." said the young lady, admiring herself in front of the mirror.
"Come on, your father is waiting in the living room." Penny said, taking her hand and leading her out of the bedroom.
"Wow! You look amazing!" Leonard exclaimed, smiling at his daughter.
"Thanks dad." said Sarah. "We're gonna be late for uncle Howard and aunt Bernie's wedding." she added as they made their way out of the apartment.

The wedding planner was glad to see Sarah all made-up as she went to them. "Oh thank god you're here baby girl...come on, we're about to start...when I give you the cue, you're gonna walk out onto the aisle and sprinkle these flower petals along the way...okay?" she said.
"Okay I got it." Sarah said, taking the small basket of flower petals as Penny made sure her dress has no wrinkles.
"Just take a deep breath and you'll be alright...it's just like when your dad and I got married...okay?" said Penny.
Sarah nodded. "Okay mom...I got it...you and dad can go ahead and get seated." she said as Leonard held Penny's hand, leading her to join the other guests waiting for the wedding ceremony to start. They saw Amy and the guys and waved at them before getting settled in their seats.
"How are you feeling?" Leonard asked his wife.
Penny smiled at him while touching her belly. "I'm fine honey...it's just not that long ago when we got married and now Bernie and Howard are doing it. After a year or two, who knows...maybe they would be expecting their first child too..." she said.
"Yeah...time flies fast huh...not long ago I'm a single father who doesn't have a social life other that what I had with Sheldon and the guys and now I'm married to the most wonderful woman in the world...and we're having a son...how lucky can a guy get huh?" Leonard said, giving her hand a light squeeze.
"Well I'm glad you insisted on bringing me to my audition...otherwise I would still be single, doing whatever it is that I want and not get sick every morning, or feel bloated and cranky..." she said sarcastically. "But at least I'm married to nerdy, smart...and funny scientist..." she added, kissing him on the cheek.
"You are one lucky girl huh?" he said, making her laugh.
"So funny!" she said, kissing him again when they heard the opening bars of the music, making all the guests stand up and face the rear of the hall, waiting for the wedding entourage to make their way into the aisle. Leonard helped his wife up, looking out as Sarah began walking along the aisle, sprinkling the flower petals along the way. Sarah saw her parents and smiled at them and gave them a light wave, smiling as everyone saw how lovely she was looking.
The rest of the entourage made their way to the front as Bernadette walked on the aisle with her father Mike, making Howard a little anxious and excited in seeing his bride in her beautiful and elegant wedding dress. Raj tapped his best friend's shoulder, telling him to relax.
"Dude, are you okay?" asked Raj.
Howard gave Raj a weak smile. "Yeah Raj...I'm just nervous I guess."
"You got this dude...just focus on Bernadette and you'll be alright." said Raj.
Howard looked at him, slightly amused. "And who made you the wedding expert?" he asked.
"Dude...if I'm not an astrophysicist I would totally be the best wedding planner this side of Pasadena..." Raj said.
Howard saw that Bernadette was nearing them. "Okay...whatever you say...we'll discuss your alternate career path some other time." he said as he stepped forward to take Bernadette's hand before shaking Mike's, thanking him. "You look amazing Bernie." he added.
"Thanks Howie...this is it!" Bernadette said as the crowd fell into a hush, waiting for the wedding officiant to start the wedding rites.
The wedding went on with only a few hitches from Howard's mother Debbie, happily crying at her son finally settling down. After a little bit of 'drama', tears and guilt, the wedding officiant finally declared Howard and Bernadette as husband and wife, sealing the ceremony with a kiss to the delight of everyone in attendance.

At the wedding reception, Leonard and Penny joined the other couples on the dance floor as they danced along the slow music with the newly-wed couple. Howard and Bernadette swung by them. "Hey guys!" Howard said.
"Nice party huh?" said Leonard, giving Howard a high five.
"Thanks for coming you two." said Bernadette.
"No problem Bernie...are we expecting you guys to joining the club any time soon?" asked Penny, referring to her baby bump.
"We haven't decided yet...I mean, we're not in a rush or anything." said Bernie.
"Aww come on Bernie...it would be nice if my son has someone to play with!" said Penny, obviously teasing them.
"She's right Bernie." Howard chimed in, earning a glaring look from his wife. "Okay I'll stop now." he added, earning a laugh from Leonard and Penny. "You're laughing now but wait until Penny's in labor and you'll regret knocking her up." he said to Leonard.
"He's right honey." Penny said, giving Leonard a goofy smile.
"Aww come on! Really?" Leonard said to Penny.
"Oh you think this is free?" Penny said, referring to her baby bump. "No, no, no Leonard...you'll get yours soon enough my sneaky scientist husband!" she said, making Bernadette and Howard laugh.
"Uh oh...someone's gonna be in a heap of trouble when Penny goes into labor!" said Howard.
"Howie, make sure our video camera is charged...I don't want to miss anything." said Bernadette.
"Good call honey." said Howard, giving his wife a high five.
"Okay I think that's enough. Come here little miss." Leonard said, pulling his wife close before dancing away from the newly-wed couple.
"You're so cute." said Penny, laughing at his success over her husband when Leonard felt his phone beep. He took it out and read the text message, making him smile before kissing his wife on the cheek. "Who's that?"
"Here...have a look." Leonard said, giving the phone to his wife. Penny took the phone and read the message, greatly surprised at the good news. "Oh my god! Are they really gonna give you that money?" she asked.
"Well...it's either that or face CalTech suing them for losing all our equipment and almost killing more than two dozen scientists and engineers." said Leonard. "I mean...it's a good thing they're settling it out of court...save everyone the trouble of going to court." he added.
"So they're really gonna give you that money?" Penny asked excitedly.
"Yes honey...it's gonna be our money." said Leonard.
Penny slowly wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips. "You mister...just got ten times more sexier now..." she said, seductively teasing her husband. "I can't wait to go home to our apartment and take you straight to the bedroom...so you could have your way with me...you know, make me pregnant again!" she whispered, making Leonard shudder with excitement.
"Let's go home now." said Leonard.
"Woah...slow down stud...your daughter might hear you...look..." said Penny, pointing to their table where Sarah was seated with their friends.
Sarah was looking at them, giving them a stern look while shaking her head, clearly disapproving their display of affection in the middle of the dance floor. "I think we better get back there...she doesn't seem happy to see us all lovey-dovey with each other." said Leonard, making Penny laugh.
"You're right...let's go." she said, pulling his hand towards their table.
"You guys never learn huh?" Sarah said as her parent take their seats.
"We just had some good news honey." Leonard said.
"What news?" asked the young lady. Leonard took out his phone and showed the message to his daughter. "You're getting that much money?" she asked.
"Yes sweetheart...isn't it great?" Penny said.
"What are you planning to do with it?" asked Sarah, surprising the couple.
"Oh? I'm not sure." said Leonard.
"We can use it to buy a house." Sarah said, making the couple smile.
"That's a great idea sweetie!" Penny said.
"I know right? That way, we won't have to pay rent anymore." said the young lady.
"I'm sure your father won't say no to this...after all, he's the one who got me into this mess!" said Penny, referring to her baby bump.
"Aww come on! Not again!?" said Leonard.
"What...you got a problem with that?" said Penny, giving him a straight look while folding her arms. Sarah joined in, doing the same gesture as her mother.
Leonard sighed, defeated again by his girls."Fine...I give up." he said as Sarah and Penny high-fived each other.
Penny leaned over to face the young lady. "We'll pass by Seven-Eleven later and get one of those house for sale magazines alright?" she said.
"Good call mom!" Sarah said. "I already have an idea for my room...I'm gonna fill it with those glow-in-the-dark stars...you know, recreate the Milky Way Galaxy or maybe the Pleiades star cluster!?" Sarah said, getting giggly with her mother.
"Pleiades?" Penny asked. "Have I seen that before?" she said.
"Are you familiar with the car Subaru?" asked Sarah.
"Subaru...yeah, I saw that car before. Why?" Penny said.
"Well the next time you see one, look at the logo on the front and you'll know what I mean." Sarah said.
"She's right Penny." Raj butted in.
Penny smiled at her daughter, before kissing her cheek. "You are so smart." she said as they continued on with the wedding reception.

The young family went home around seven in the evening, even if the celebration continued on since Penny felt tired. The newly-wed couple and their friends understood, seeing that getting tired or stressed is bad for the baby.
"Sweetie, why don't you go straight to the bathroom and wash up, I wanna go to bed early tonight." Penny told her daughter.
"Yeah...me too." Sarah said while going to the bathroom while Leonard took a glass of water from the kitchen before bringing it for his wife.
"Thanks honey." Penny said, taking the glass and drinking the water. She put the glass on the coffee table before going to the bedroom, taking off her dress before putting her robe on, waiting for Sarah to finish in the bathroom so she could wash up herself.
After Sarah was done in the bathroom, Penny went next and Leonard last, glad to have some hot water left for him. He was done in under ten minutes, feeling refreshed after the day's celebration and craziness. He got off the shower and dried himself before putting on his boxer shorts, shirt and robe, making sure the faucets are shut tight as he left the bathroom.
Leonard entered the bedroom and saw his wife sitting on the bed, reading something on the iPad. She put the tablet down and looked at him, smiling smugly as she walked slowly towards him.
"Uh...why are you smiling like that?" Leonard asked.
"Hmmm...something's different about you...I can't seem to put a finger on it..." said Penny, putting her hands gently on his shoulder.
Leonard laughed and decided to play along, knowing his wife is just messing with him. "Well...why don't find out little miss..." he said, pulling her close to nibble on her neck, making her squirm a bit.
"That tickles..." she said softly. "Hmmm...you are so...sexy...and cute...and funny..." she said while running her fingers on the back of his neck.
"Did I tell you that I have money too?" said Leonard, making Penny laugh.
"Huh...you're rich too? You just got a lot more sexier..." she said, lightly pushing him on the bed while taking off his robe. Leonard sat up as Penny got on top of him, holding onto his shoulders for support. "I hope this doesn't turn you off or anything..." she said, pointing at her baby bump.
"Turn me off? You just got ten times more hotter than you weren't pregnant." he said as he started to hike up her night shirt.
Penny kissed him on the lips before laying on her side, pulling her husband close to hold her. "Come here." she said as they kiss, Leonard carefully moved into his wife, careful not to hurt her or the baby. Penny felt the baby move, making the couple stop their amorous activity. "Woah...that is a strong kick..." she said, putting her hand on her belly.
"I think he wants me to back off a bit." said Leonard while touching his wife's belly.
Penny rubbed her belly. "Hey sweetheart...shhh...just let mom and dad have this one...okay?" she said as she pulled Leonard to kiss him. "Now where were we?" she added as Leonard slowly moved in, feeling his wife getting excited.
"I love you so much." Leonard whispered, wrapping Penny in his embrace.
"Shut up and focus!" Penny said as she pulled the covers over them.
