Story: Kouichi is sick at his mom's house when Kouji comes over to play…

Cough cough cough Kouichi moans slightly, pulling the thick wool blanket back up to his shoulders. He had been playing in the snow the day prior and now has a slight case of the flu. The icepack on his forehead has melted into a bag of slush when his brother, Kouji, runs into the living room.

"Kouichi!", he says playfully. When he sees his brother sprawled out on the couch, a look of worry crosses his face. "What's wrong?"

"I'm Cough sick," Kouichi replies, wiping his runny nose with the sleeve of his pajamas. Even in his weakened state, Kouichi manages a small smile as he repositions the icepack on his forehead.

"What do you have?" Kouji asks, removing his gloves and coat.

"Flu," the twin replies weakly. Their mother walks in behind Kouji, startling him a bit.

"We've been trying all day to get his fever to break," she says in a downhearted voice, trying to fill Kouji in. "So far nothings worked. I'm sorry," she says, sadly. "But you're going to have to go home, Kouji. I know that this is the…Oh, please don't look at me like that."

In three weeks, today was the first time the twins had seen each other. Kouji, a look of defiance on his face, says, "I want to stay. I'll help take care of Kouichi." The last part, softer in tone so as not to upset their mother, makes Kouichi smile from the couch.

"No," she simply states. "I don't want to be taking care of both of you."

"Please, mom." Both Kouji and their mom turn to face Kouichi on the couch. "We haven't seen each other in such a long time. Please?" Their mother, feeling a sense of guilt, slightly sighs.

"O.K., but if you get sick, it's not my fault." After seeing the twins smile in unison, she walks into the laundry room at the back of the apartment.

"You don't look so good," Kouji states in his 'protective brother' tone.

"I'll be Cough alright." Kouichi lets out a moan.

"Here." Kouji readjusts the slushy semi-cold icepack on his brothers' forehead. "Of course, you'll be alright. I'll be here." The twins smile at each other, Kouichi's a little weaker than normal.

"Ah-choo!" Kouji readjusts his brothers' icepack. "You don't have to do that," Kouichi says from the couch. "I'm just glad you're here." At this, Kouji can't help himself. He leans in slowly and plants a soft, gentle kiss on the older twins lips. Kouichi pulls his hand out from under the blanket and cups it around the back of his brothers' neck. As Kouji pulls away, he massages Kouichi's chest through the open button up pajama top.

"Go to sleep, Kouichi. I'm here." Kouji continues to massage his brothers' warm, soft chest until he falls asleep. Standing over his reflection, Kouji can see a faint smile crossing his lips.

Kouji, watching his peaceful opposite, pulls off his own shirt, gently climbs onto the couch and under the thick blanket. He pulls slowly, ever so gently, Kouichi's head to rest upon his chest, wrapping his arms around his brothers' warm body.

"Sweet dreams, bro," he whispers, readjusting his brothers' icepack.
