Naptime Chronicles

Skull DeMort had an unusual habit. If he was tired, he would sleep. That wasn't what was unusual though. No, that belonged to the location of the places Skull found for his naps. Anywhere from inside a fridge, to the oven, to under a bench. Skull has napped in all of them. A series of oneshots where various Katekyo characters find Skull napping in places he really shouldn't be.

4. Aria

Prompt: With baby Yuni

Aria woke up to sunlight hitting her face. It was a slow awakening. The type where you lie in bed for a moment because you don't actually have to be awake. You can just lay there with your eyes closed and enjoy the warmth of your bed for a few minutes. Aria hadn't had one of those mornings in months. Not since she was pregnant.

Aria shot up in a panic. She had slept the whole night. Not once waking up to take care of Yuni. She looked at the baby monitor first, hoping that Yuni had just decided to sleep through the whole night for the first time. But there was no baby in the crib.

Fearing the worst, Aria jolted out of bed and raced across the hall to the nursery. All kinds of horrible scenarios filtered through her head. What if Yuni had been kidnapped? Or managed to get out of her crib and had fallen on her head? Panic was clouding Aria's logic and causing her to imagine the worst.

All those fears vanished once she opened the door. She spotted Yuni immediately, along with the person holding her. The baby was curled up on Skull's chest while the cloud sat in the rocking chair. Both were fast asleep. There was an empty bottle on the table next to them. At some point during the night, Skull must have checked in on Yuni and took care of her before Aria had woken up.

Unable to resist herself, Aria snuck back to her room and returned with a camera. She would print out several copies for all the photo albums the Arcobaleno had. This one especially would be a great addition to the naptime album.

I actually was trying to work on a different character, but couldn't get this idea out of my head. When I got stuck on the other one, I decided to work on this for a bit. Needless to say, I finished this one before the other one.
