Chapter 140: The Tower (Itori, Tsukiyama, Kimi, Nishio, Hide, Marude, Ui, Amon, Touka, Juuzou)

Multiple choppers fire their missiles at Kaneki's main Rinkaku tentacle amid the pouring rain. The missiles successfully hit Kaneki's' tentacle, but it only enrages it further. The tentacle lets out a deafening roar.
"Target is aggro! Prep for a strafing run!" Pilot #1 said, as the rest of the choppers continue to fire a barrage of missiles at the tentacle before it finally gives in. The tentacle lets out a deafening scream, as it begins to descend the building.
"A DIRECT HIT!" Pilot #2 said.
"It's coming down! It's coming down!" Pilot #3 said.
"Have the civilians been evacuated?!" Pilot #4 said, wondering.
"Damage to outer shell detected! Continue the operation!" Pilot #5 said, sternly.
"Any idea where it's going?!" Pilot #6 said, curious.
"Most likely Wards 2, 3, or 4." Pilot #7 said, cautious.
"Ground team, move to the front!" Pilot #8 said, sternly, as the tentacle then touches the ground to continue its assault on the city of Tokyo.
"What the fuck is that thing?!" Pilot #5 said, baffled.
"Did it take any damage AT ALL?!" Pilot #6 said, wondering.
"Fuck, there are still civilians in the area!" Pilot #4 said, alarmed.
"Ground team, prepare to intercept! I repeat, prepare to intercept!" Pilot #8 said, sternly, as the pilots see the tentacle scrambling to Ward 3.
"Target is on the run! Heading to Ward 3!" Pilot #2 said, as the pilots see numerous tanks firing at the tentacle. The tentacle lets out a deafening roar.

"We're in position!" Tank Pilot #1 said, as they fired more more armor piercing shells at the tentacle.
"All right, 1st Armored Division, light it up!" Tank Pilot #2 said, frantic, as they see the tentacle closing in on them."
"Keep firing at it!" Tank Pilot #3 said, alarmed, as the tentacle swipes at the tank that TP #3 was in, killing them. Screams echo throughout Ward 3, as the tentacle continued its assault.
"Mom!" Child #1 screamed.
"AGGGGGGGGGGHH!" Citizen #1 shouted.
"AHHGG!" Citizen #2 said, horrified.
"RAAAAAA!" Citizen #3 said, aghast.
"YYYAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" Child #2 screamed.
"What the—" Citizen #4 said, flustered.
"What the fuck is that thing?!" Citizen #5 said, terrified.
"Somebody, help!" Citizen #6 said, worried.
"MOM!" Child #3 said, flustered.
"NO, NO, NO, NO!" Child #4 said, panicking.
"GOD HELP US!" Citizen #7 said, praying.
"Run!" Citizen #8 said, flustered.
"AGGH!" Child #5 screamed.
"Oh my god!" Citizen #9 said, horrified.
"AAHH!" Citizen #10 screamed.
"MOMMY, DADDY!" Child #6 said, crying.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Citizen #11 said, in pain.
"EIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Citizen #4 said, aghast, as the tentacle continued to kill everyone around it.

Ward 24, Section F245
Ui slumps against the wall as he looks to his right to see a large red eye opening. 3 dead Oggai plop down next to him from 5 feet away. He then hears footsteps approaching, as he looks to see Furuta in front of him. Furuta's right arm is reattaching itself, as Ui speaks.
"You're right about one thing. This is beyond human comprehension." Ui said, weakly.
"IS THIS SHIT GONNA BRING BACK ARIMA AND HAIRU?! ANSWER ME!" Ui screamed, angrily, as Furuta let out a soft chuckle.
"It was just a possibility. I didn't guarantee anything. If Kagune are based on one's mind, then life can create an infinite amount of chaos. What you just saw next to you is proof." Furuta said, wheezing.
"Then tell me the number. I don't give a fuck if you guess. Just what chance was there of bringing Hairu back?! I broke numerous oaths for following your orders!" Ui said, desperate, as Furuta pondered the question for a few seconds.
"Zero." Furuta said, bluntly.
"I see. Fuck off, you psychopath." Ui said, depressed.
"You brought this on yourself. You should have known that from when the Oggai were eaten by ASCI Sasaki. That thing can only create devastation. I was hoping from the notes I analyzed from Dr. Kano that it would have more potential. This is the first time I've seen in unfold in real time." Furuta said, calmly.
"In folk tales, it was said that the Underground King of Ward 24 conducted an event much like what we just witnessed. He bestowed life into the city of Tokyo, and once that occurred, it spread across the globe. I might be wrong, but I think he took more lives than he saved." Furuta said, as Ui cradled his Quinque, Taruhi.
"Ui, I promise you. I had the treasure map on me. It's just that it led you to the treasure you had no desire for." Furuta said, as tears streamed down Ui's face.
"I never believed you for a second. All I fucking wanted was some closure. Even if it was under roofs of straw…but it seems it won't stand for much longer, huh?" Ui said, tearfully.
"My deepest apologies." Furuta said, as he then turned to see Hirako and Yusa.
"Why didn't you kill your archnemesis?" Furuta said, wondering.
"We tried to. The both of us were at each other's throats. One misstep and that would be that." Ui said, as he looked at the deformed giant red eye.
"But then this fucking thing shows up out of nowhere, and seconds later, we're standing side-by-side, our grudges wiped away, as we fought to survive." Ui said, calmly.
"Very good." Furuta said, as Ui glared at him.
"I'll be resigning as Bureau Chief effective immediately." Furuta said, as he turned to walk away from Ui, Hirako, and Yusa.
"Koori…what do you plan on doing?" Hirako said, wondering.
"Get back up and fix my mess." Ui said, somberly.
"Because that's what an investigator should do. You?" Ui said, depressed, as Hirako walked towards him and extended his left hand.
"I'll help you clean your mess up." Hirako said, as Ui looked surprised by Hirako's response.
"FCI Hirako. We're going back up to the world that SCI Arima envisioned, right?" Yusa said, curious.
"I have no idea anymore." Hirako said, calmly.

Saiko is wearing a black poncho over a white trench coat, black skirt (knee length), black leggings, and blue Converse. Hsiao is wearing a gray trench coat over a skintight black suit, knee high black boots, blue gloves that cover the entirety of both her arms. Touma is wearing a red poncho over a blue jacket, black pants, blue gloves, and white Nike's. The three are running towards the CCG HQ building when Saiko's left earpiece goes.
"ALL UNITS BE ADVISED! The entity is now at Ward 3! Over 100,000 dead!" Investigator #1 said, alarmed, as Touma looked at Saiko.
"You mean the large thing that's destroyed all of Wards 1, 4, and 13?!" Touma said, flustered.
"We need to hurry to the office!" Saiko said, calmly.
"Right!" Hsiao said, as the three ran faster.

"Sitrep?!" Investigator #2 said, frantic, as multiple investigators scrambled around the room, carrying boxes of files and plopping them on tables.
"I need an explanation!" Investigator #3 said, desperate.
"The fuck was that?! Was that a Ghoul!?" Investigator #4 said, horrified.
"What's the RC Cell reading on that thing?!" Investigator #5 said, frantic.
"Where the fuck's Chief Washu?!" Investigator #4 said, frantic, as Investigator #5 threw his hands in the air.
"I don't know!" Investigator #5 said, frustrated, as Fura entered the room. Fura is wearing a black suit over a white work shirt, black pants, black leather belt, and black Alfani dress shoes.
"Call in everyone you can get ahold of!" Fura said, sternly, as he pressed into his left earpiece.
"SCI Tanakamaru, how are we on the entity at Ward 4?!" Fura said, wondering.

Tanakamaru is wearing a black suit over a blue tie, blue helmet, white work shirt, black pants, black leather belt, and brown Rockport leather shoes. He is observing two investigators in front of him from 30 feet away.
"It seems dormant, Fura." Tanakamaru said, calmly, as Investigator #6 plunges his Quinque, Tsunagi (Plain) deep into the entity.
"No response." Investigator #7 said, calmly, as he turned his head to look at Tanakamaru while Investigator continued to poke at the entity with the Tsunagi (Plain).
"No response, SCI Tanakamaru!" Investigator #6, as the one of the eyes on the entity opens. Investigator #7 lets out a loud gasp, before the entity decapitates his head with a scaly red Rinkaku tentacle. Investigator #6 falls backwards before letting out a horrifying scream.
"It's alive, everyone! Fall back!" Tanakamaru said, sternly.

"What do we know so far?!" Investigator #8 said, frantic.
"How much time left before it wakes up again?!" Investigator #9 said, worried.
"How about RC Suppressant?!" Investigator #5 said, wondering.
"Are you kidding me?! There's not enough RC Suppressant to tame that fucking thing!" Investigator #2 said, as Fura looked around the room.
Shit! Everybody's cages have been rattled. I don't blame them. With Washu gone, we need—Fura thought, as he hears footsteps. He turns to see Marude, Mabuchi, Urie, Matsuri, and three more investigators enter the room. Fura's eyes widen in surprise upon seeing Marude, alive and well.
"You got to be fucking kidding me. SCI Marude?" Fura said, floored, as the rest of the investigators turned to look at Marude. They too, are in shock.
"Request support from the GSDF and all available police officers STAT! Evacuating the civilians is priority #1! Send out as many trucks as you can! USE WHATEVER WE GOT. Lab, intel, the works!" Marude said, as everyone else looked at him, dumbfounded. Marude sighs in annoyance.
"I came back from the brink of hell because you idiots aren't doing your fucking jobs properly!" Marude said, annoyed, as Fura chuckled.
"SCI Marude…welcome back." Fura said, as a small smile emerged from his face.
"See, everyone? Fura's got the right idea. Now set up command somewhere in this building. Go, go, go!" Marude said, as Fura looked at the rest of the investigators.
"You heard him! Anyone who can drive, with me!" Fura said, as he and a multitude of officers walked out of the room.
"All right, how effective are our Quinques?! Have we tried Q-Bullets as well?!" Marude said, wondering.
"No effect. It regenerates itself even with the tiniest scratch." Investigator #10 said, calmly, as everyone in the room then hears footsteps approaching.
"Saiko, slow down!" Touma said, as Saiko finally arrived at the room. Saiko is huffing and puffing as she then spotted Urie near Matsuri. Matsuri notices and taps Urie's right shoulder with his left hand. No response.
"Urie!" Saiko said, as Urie turned to look at Saiko.
"Yonebayashi!" Urie said, content.
You made it…Urie thought, calmly, as Marude sat down, while Hide arrived to the room.
"Hide, I need your blunt opinion on that thing. We don't have enough people to help us out." Marude said, as Hide grabbed a sheet of paper and blue pen and proceeded to write on it, before handing it over to Marude. It read:
Let's ask the speciulist?
"I see. You spelled 'specialist' wrong, though." Marude said, dryly.

Mutsuki and Aura's bodies are lying on the soaked ground. Suddenly, Mutsuki sits up. He then unwraps the thin pink Bikaku tails that he wrapped around his face. His right Kakugan is activated. He then gets up and walks towards Aura. He gently taps his forehead with his right hand, as Aura then abruptly wakes up. They look at each other, before proceeding to walk away.

Yoriko is wearing a blue sweater, a black skirt (knee length) and blue heels. She's standing in front of the glass window when she sees Takeomi and Kuramoto coming by to open the door. Takeomi is wearing a black suit over a white work shirt, black pants, black leather belt, and black Alfani leather shoes. Kuramoto is wearing a white trench coat over a white work shirt, black tie, black pants, black leather belt, and black Perry Ellis sneakers.
"Yoriko!" Takeomi said, as he opened the door.
"Takeomi!" Yoriko said, as she ran towards him for a hug.
"I can go now?!" Yoriko said, confused.
"Yeah. You and Takeomi." Kuramoto said, calmly, as the three ran out of the room.
"What's going on?! This place was shaking three hours ago. Was it an earthquake?" Yoriko said, wondering.
"No it wasn't." Takeomi said, huffing.
"Hey, Bujin." Kuramoto said, as Takeomi looked at him.
"You guys go on that honeymoon. We'll take care of it." Kuramoto said, calmly, as Takeomi nodded his head yes.
"All right, Yoriko. Let's go." Takeomi said, as he and Yoriko sprinted out to the elevator.

Chie is wearing a pink jacket over a blue sweater, red shorts, pink leggings, and pink Converse. She's with my dog Rocky, who is barking his head upon seeing the entity wreak havoc across the 23 wards. She is attempting to take a shot of the wreckage with her Immortal camera before putting it down.
"Damn it. I'll have to wait until the morning to get a better shot." Chie said, frustrated, as she hears Tsukiyama's voice.
"I must help him." Tsukiyama said, weakly, as Chie turned to look at him, while Rocky kept barking.
"Tsukiyama…" Chie said, calmly.
"I…" Tsukiyama said, before placing his hands over his head.
"JE DEVRAIS L'ARRÊTER PUTAIN (French for 'I SHOULD'VE FUCKING STOPPED HIM')!" Tsukiyama screamed, in an overly dramatic manner.
"JE DOIS Y ALLER (French for 'I NEED TO GO')!" Tsukiyama screamed, desperate.
"Go where?" Chie said, as she attempts to calm Tsukiyama down.
"I-I-I-I-I JUST NEED TO! I MUST!" Tsukiyama said, as he attempts to run, only for Chie to grab his right foot, causing Tsukiyama to trip. He lands face first into a pit of mud amid the pouring rain.
"Tsukiyama. If you truly want to help Kaneki, you need to think this through before doing anything stupid." Chie said, calmly, as Tsukiyama turned his head to look at Chie, while Rocky continued to bark.
"Chie…" Tsukiyama said, shocked.

Nishio and Banjou, who is carrying Asami in his arms, sprint to where the Ghoul refugees are at, as the rain poured harder.
"Hey! What are you guys doing back up?! Was there an ambush at the hideout?!" Nishio said, alarmed, as Hinami and Miza looked at him.
"Nishio!" Hinami said, relieved, as Miza put bandage wraps on Hinami's severed lower left leg.
"What the fuck happened?!" Nishio said, as he got to where Miza and Hinami were at.
"Ward 24's been destroyed." Miza said, somberly, as Nishio and Banjou had alarmed looks on their faces.
"Say that again?!" Nishio said, flustered, as Hinami started sniffling. Banjou finally notices Hinami's severed lower left leg.
"Hina…your leg." Banjou said, alarmed, as he put Asami down on the ground. Asami then walks over to Hinami and proceeds to hug her.
"Guys! Where the fuck is Kaneki?!" Nishio said, worried, as he heard Touka's voice.
"The thing that emerged from Ward 24 is Kaneki." Touka said, as Nishio looked at her.
"Don't be fucking stupid." Nishio said, annoyed, as Touka glared at him.
"I'm NOT." Touka said, angrily, as Nishio's eyes widen in shock.
"Fuck…" Nishio said, as Touka struggled to hold back her tears. Irimi and Emilia then walk over to Touka and hand her a blue blanket.
"The baby will freeze." Irimi said, as Touka sighed.
"It's gotta stop raining at some point." Nishio said, before he looked at Irimi.
"Hey! Where's Isaac?" Nishio said, worried, as Irimi's eyes widen in alarm.
"¡Papí (Daddy)!" Emilia and Asami said, alarmed, as Irimi turned around.
"I'm going back down for him!" Irimi said, as she then spotted me, Uta, Itori and Yomo walking towards her, as thunder cracked the sky.
"Yomo…you're so heavy!" Itori said, annoyed, as she lets go of his right arm and plops him onto the floor, while Uta gently places me over Yomo's body.
"Isaac!" Irimi said, as she sprinted towards me, with Emilia and Asami following suit.
"¡Papí (Daddy)!" Emilia and Asami said, alarmed, as I slowly opened my eyes to look at them. They scream upon seeing the state I was in.
"Isaac…fuck, fuck, fuck…" Irimi said, horrified.
"Dude, are you okay?!" Nishio said, as I looked at him.
"I lost my voice… I lost my left hand…I can't hear out of my left ear…and I can't smell anything anymore…" I said, in a raspy voice, as Irimi looked on, worried.
"But, hey. I'm still alive, aren't I?" I said, chuckling.
"Daddy, did those people hurt you?!" Emilia said, as she looked at Itori and Uta.
"No, Emilia. They're just your great aunt Itori and your great uncle Uta. They're dead to the family!" I said, in a raspy and enraged manner, as Itori giggled.
"Aww, he thinks we're family…" Itori said, as she smiled.
"I WAS BEING SARCASTIC, YOU—" I shouted, hoarsely, before collecting myself.
"What did that rapey, incestuous, psycho-fuck promise you two?!" I said, seething with rage.
"Front row seats to watch you and Kaneki fail miserably to unite both species." Itori said, as I flipped her off with my right middle finger.
"Come on now, Isaac. Is that any way to treat a lady especially with your daughters around?" Itori said, giggling.
"That Assclown put bounties on my daughters' heads. They are just toddlers!" I said, angrily, before a thought pondered my head.
"Where the hell is Porpora?" I said, annoyed.
"He's not here, if you're wondering." Uta said, as I glared at him.
"For someone who can alter their face, I find that answer highly skeptical." I said, as Itori's LG V10 goes off from Uta's front left pocket. Uta then pulls it out to see the caller ID. Unknown. He answers it.
"Yeah?" Uta said, as he then looks at me.
"It's for you." Uta said, as I took the phone, while Irimi lifts me up. I then hear a voice that made my eyes widen in alarm.
"Investigator Gutierrez, welcome back from Ward 24." Porpora said, as I look around the area.
"Porpora…I take it my wife's memorial was your doing?" I said, bitterly.

Porpora is wearing a black sweater and blue pants. He's lying down on the metallic bed, as he hears the sliding door open. He looks up to see that it's Shinme. Shinme is wearing a white work shirt, white pants, white leather belt, and white Skechers.
"You can have this a free gift." Shinme said, as he slid a copy of Sen Takatsuki's The Hanged Man's MacGuffin through the sliding door.
"How generous of you, Warden." Porpora said, calmly, as Shinme sneered.
"I'm not. This book has a character that's based on you." Shinme said, as Porpora had a curious look on his face.
"Where at?" Porpora said, wondering.
"Prisoner #182." Shinme said, as he closed the sliding door and walked away. Porpora then flips through the pages to find the chapter about Prisoner #182. He skims through the pages. His facial expression goes from curiosity to pure anger upon reading the chapter. Porpora then tears the pages out of the book and proceeds to flush the pages down the toilet.

"I was not a fan of your wife's interpretation of me." Porpora said, coldly.
"What was wrong with it?" I said, sarcastically.
"SHE MADE A PEDOPHILLIC CHARACTER BASED OFF OF ME!" Porpora shouted, angrily.
"Not my fault many of your victims were children, you pedo." I said, dryly.
"You're an annoying little shit, are you?" Porpora said, bitterly.
"Language…you're making God cry." I said, calmly.
"You better watch that tone of yours!" Porpora said, angrily.
"I'll make damn sure my daughters never come anywhere near you, pedophile." I said, coldly, as I hear Porpora grit his teeth in anger.
"Say that again and I'll make an example out of—" Porpora said, as I press the red button on Itori's phone to end the call, before handing the phone back to Uta.
"I'll give you this. Even if Furuta won't admit it, he was very impressed with how you wiped off Dr. Kano from his board. It's just a shame that Furuta had a backup plan and asked Kano to make more of those things just in case." Uta said, calmly, as Tsukiyama and Chie then arrive.
"Mademoiselle Itori, what is the meaning behind this?" Tsukiyama said, confused.
"We brought back them up. It's the least we could've done." Itori said, calmly.
"I mean, Yomo is my best friend, and Isaac is a friend to Touka, so…" Uta said, shrugging his shoulders, as Touka spotted me and Yomo.
"YOMO!" Touka said, as Itori turned to look at Touka.
"Touka, hello. Wow, puberty did a great job on you." Itori said, delighted.
"What the hell are you guys doing?" Touka said, suspicious.
"Nothing. We're just going to watch you guys go up in smoke as Uta and I watch from the front row. The big question now is what the sheep are going to do without their King. The King is now a monster wreaking havoc over in Tokyo. Surely, they're not gonna follow a human's orders. My advice? Run. It's better than getting killed, that's for sure." Itori said, calmly, as Touka glared at him.
"So, you're against the idea, huh? How about this? See it through to the end?" Itori said, as thunder cracked the sky.
"The hell's that mean?" I said, annoyed, as Itori looked at me.
"Simple. To save you, your kids, and everyone else, Kaneki acted like a selfish asshole again and decided to turn into that disgusting pile of shit." Itori said, mockingly, as Touka had an enraged look on her face. Nishio notices right away.
"Touka, don't…" Nishio said, worried, as Touka clenched her fists.
"A lot of people died! No, scratch that, killed! Kaneki never even bothered judging if they were good OR bad, just like Ikey!" Itori said, as she looked at Touka and Nishio.
"Come on…the humans that persecuted OUR kind. The humans that persecuted you. He did it for ALL of you. If you love your king so much, then I suggest you see this through to the very end." Itori said, faking sadness, as rage boiled over my body.
"Eto's plan may have been harmful…but at least she got her point across…What you, Assclown, and the rest of those payasos (clowns) did…IS BEYOND UN-FUCKING-ETHICAL!" I shouted, angrily, as Itori looked at me, insulted.
"Really?" Itori said, as her expression changed from fake sadness to sheer anger.
"DO YOU CONSIDER WHAT YOUR FATHER DID TO MY ENTIRE FAMILY UNETHICAL AS WELL, YOU FUCKING UNGRATEFUL HUMAN?!" Itori shouted, enraged, as I looked confused.
"The hell are you talking about?" I said, confused, as Uta pulled out a brown file from under his trench coat, and handed it to me.
"As I said, take it up with Itori." Uta said, calmly, as I opened the file to see photos of Hoji, Arima, and my father, Reynaldo, standing above numerous Ghoul corpses.
"I don't understand…" I said, in shock.
"Extra pages from Operation Clown Sweep. The only operation ever led by your old man." Uta said, calmly.

Itori is wearing a light blue T-shirt, black jean shorts, and red Converse. She also has chin-length orange hair. Uta is wearing a Rolling Stones t-shirt, black jeans (with ripped holes at the kneecaps section), and black Vans. Hitomi is wearing a blue sweater, black jeans, and red socks.
"We have you surrounded, Ms. Hitomi Mimori, or should I say, S Rate Siren?" The voice said, as Hitomi's eyes widened in alarm. She then turns her head to look at Itori.
"Itori, take the window, go!" Hitomi said, as she activated her Kakugan.
"Wait, what?!" Itori said, alarmed.
"Mom's already dead! It's likely that they killed Dad as well!" Hitomi said, frantic.
"Última oportunidad, Sirena (Last chance, Siren)!" The voice said, annoyed.
"Take the back, now!" Hitomi said, as she then sees the Quinque, IXA, pierce through her stomach. Blood gushes out of her stomach, as Itori's eyes widen in alarm.
"HITOMI!" Itori shouted, horrified, as Uta grabbed her from behind.
"Itori, come on, let's go!" Uta said, alarmed.
"Uta…" Hitomi said, as Uta looked at her.
"Are the extra recruits in place?" Hitomi said, as Uta nodded his head yes.
"Good…They need to know that were not to be fu—" Hitomi said, as Uta and Itori then see the Quinque, Tsunagi (Plain), pierce through the door, and through Hitomi's skull, killing her, Itori lets out a deafening scream, as Uta then takes Itori through the window, as they then take the stairs outside. The door in Itori's apartment is busted open, as Reynaldo, Hoji, and Arima enter the room. All three are wearing black combat gear. Reynaldo then sprints to the window and sees Itori and Uta running for their lives.
"¡Maldición (Damn it)!" Reynaldo said, frustrated.
"Forget them, Rey." Hoji said, as Reynaldo turned to look at Hoji and Arima.
"Impressive work taking down the Siren, Rey. You managed to kill her with just a C Rate Quinque." Arima said, stoically.
"I mean you did deliver the first blow." Reynaldo said, as he looked into Hitomi's eyes for a few moments before looking at Arima.
"She's yours." Reynaldo said, hesitant.
"Rey, you deserve this one. You're gonna need a stronger Quinque to combat Ghouls. You can't rely on Tsunagis forever." Arima said, as Reynaldo sighed.
"Fine." Reynaldo said, somewhat annoyed.
"Hey, it's what the leader of the operation deserves." Hoji said, calmly, as Reynaldo adjusted his left earpiece.
"CCG, I'm bringing in a Ghoul to be turned into a Quinque." Reynaldo said, calmly.

Uta and Itori are inside the gray 1999 Honda Civic, as Itori speaks.
"What did Hitomi mean by extra recruits?" Itori said, wondering.
"An old trick she used to do whenever Doves show up. Me and a bunch of guys rounded up some civilians and forced them into Clown disguises. The Doves don't know it, but they're about to have a big mess on their hands when their operation ends." Uta said, calmly, as Itori looked depressed.
"I want to join the Clowns." Itori said, coldly, as Uta looked at her.
"Hitomi specifically asked me that I never bring you in." Uta said, as Itori looked at him, upset.
"My entire family was murdered by those Doves just hours ago! You're gonna honor my sister's word and deny me my change of retribution?!" Itori said, angrily.
"Look, just give me a few days to think it over. But be warned, because if you—" Uta said, as Itori spoke.
"I don't care." Itori said, frustrated, as Uta sighed.
"All right. Just give me a week and I'll see if they'll recruit you. My advice, though? Stick to the shadows." Uta said, calmly.

"Well now he does." Itori said, coldly.
"So, tell me, Irimi. You're willing to forgive Ikey after he stuck his shaft elsewhere and got Eto pregnant?" Itori said, as Irimi glanced away.
"Or Touka. Are you willing to forgive Ikey after he gave Yoshimura up to Eto just so she could get even with him?" Itori said, as Touka kept silent.
"What about little Hina? Ikey was involved in your mother's murder, Hina! And yet you forgave him just like that?!" Itori said, as Hinami looked upset.
"Face it, Ikey. No matter how many people you make amends with, it will NEVER be enough to erase all the pain and damage that you, your father, or EVEN Eto caused over the years. You think these Ghouls will let you, a DOVE, be their leader after the One-Eyed King gets turned into a pile of shit?" Itori said, bluntly, as I had a depressed look on my face, while the rest of the Ghoul refugees look at me in shock.
"Trygve was a Dove?" Ghoul Refugee #1 said, shocked.
"The One-Eyed King killed humans for us?" Ghoul Refugee #2 said, delighted.
"Hey, she's right. Doves like him cost me my home and daughter!" Ghoul Refugee #3 said, as Emilia and Asami looked at me.

"He did it all for us! We must see this through!" Ghoul Refugee #6 said, determined.
"I know! Let's kill Trygve's demon spawn and force Trygve to watch!" Ghoul Refugee #7 said, as tears streamed down my face, while Asami and Emilia looked horrified.
"FOR THE KING!" Ghoul Refugees #8-58 said, as rage boiled inside Touka, while Irimi activated her Kakugan. Suddenly, a loud scream is heard.
"SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTHS UP!" Tsukiyama screamed, as everybody turned to look at him, amid the pouring rain. Chie, floored by Tsukiyama's response, snaps a picture of him with her camera. Silence fills the area for ten seconds before Nishio speaks.
"Damn, Tsukiyama." Nishio said, quietly.
"Kaneki murdered people? Ghoul's revenge? Killing babies?" Tsukiyama said, upset.
"When was I preying on humans…when Kaneki returned to Anteiku despite the 250 investigators in his way…when Kaneki lost his memories…when Isaac betrayed everyone at Anteiku…when Isaac turned my cousin Karren into a monstrosity…when Isaac tried to kill himself out of sheer guilt…both of them still cared about our kinds…to a point…" Tsukiyama said, as tears begin to well up in his eyes.
"And you're suggesting that Kaneki is doing this horror show out of revenge? Isaac might be a connard (French for 'Asshole'), but you shouldn't take your anger out on his children." Tsukiyama said, as tears streamed down his face.
"Is this what you REALLY want, my brothers and sisters?! Am I the only one…who wants Kaneki to be fucking happy?" Tsukiyama said, sniffling.
"He won't be able to read anymore or drink coffee. Or talk to his friends or his beloved wife. Or even hold his own flesh and blood! There are lots of things that he and I still need to do!" Tsukiyama said, proudly, as a small smile emerged from my face.
He really does care about humans, huh? I thought, somberly, as Tsukiyama spoke.
"And with any luck, I might get a father/daughter meal combo!" Tsukiyama said, delighted, as I had an alarmed look on my face.
"TMI! TMI, Tsukiyama!" I said, alarmed, as Tsukiyama looked at me.
"Too much information." I said, clarifying, as Tsukiyama looked embarrassed.
"My bad." Tsukiyama said, awkwardly, as Nishio sighed.
"He's right. I'm fed up with Isaac and the other dumb fuck. The dumb fuck dragging me into the café…me planting the idea of Isaac looking into our old boss' past, and now…this shit." Nishio said, as he looked at me.
"I'm still waiting on my reunion with Kimi, dumbass." Nishio said, dryly.
"Isaac has shown everyone that he's not invincible and that he's willing to ask others for help. I just wish Kaneki would be like him for once and be more open." Banjou said, calmly.
"Even though they played a role in my life after my mother was killed, I'm grateful for the help they offered me. I want to continue being an aunt to Emilia and Asami. And I want to thank Onii-chan." Hinami said, as a somber but hopeful smile emerged from her face. Irimi then deactivates her Kakugan.
"I will say this, Itori…Kaneki and Isaac may be selfish assholes, but at least they're willing to own up to their shit, and that one of them can take numerous kicks to the balls just to show how wrong they were. If things don't pan out between us again, then that's that." Irimi said, as we looked at each other.
"I need my husband to come up with a name for our kid, because I'm terrible at Kanji." Touka said, as she chuckled in the pouring rain, while Itori looked at everyone around her, very annoyed.
Are you fucking serious? Itori thought, disgruntled, as Tsukiyama spoke.
"Kenji, Prince, Baiser, Plaisir, Kankei! Just pick a name from what I just told you, Miss Kirishima!" Tsukiyama said, frantic, as Touka looked at him.
"I'm good." Touka said, reassuring, as Itori looked more annoyed before I looked at her.
"After Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his prosperity and doubled his former possessions. Job, Chapter 42, Verse 10." I said, as a small smile emerged from my face.
"Context?" Itori said, annoyed.
"Satan and God made a bet to see if Satan could break God's favorite servant, Job, by taking away everything that he owned for no reason. After Job owned up to everything to his friends in front of God, he was rewarded with twice the possessions he had. In short, Job never cracked even after He took his family from his." I said, as I looked at my daughters.
"So, if you think that Furuta could break what's left of my fragile mind, tell him to look again, because it's been rebuilt." I said, quietly, as Itori, annoyed, then looks at Uta, before they walk away from the crowd.
Suddenly, we hear footsteps approaching. Irimi, Touka, and I look to see that it's Ayato and his expedition team. Ayato is wearing a purple jacket over a purple sweater, purple jeans, black leather belt, and brown Wolverine boots. FGC #1 is wearing a black hooded robe over a pink sweater, blue jeans, and white Reebok's. MGC wearing a black hooded robe over a light blue sweater, brown pants, and white socks. "Insurance?" Akira said, confused.
"I couldn't tell Kaneki that I was still alive. Now, according to Dr. Chigyo, we have 72 hours left until Kaneki becomes active again. If that happens…If I had been quicker, Kaneki wouldn't be what he is now." Hide said, calmly, as he clenched his right fist.
"I can't fuck up this time. That's why I called you guys here for help." Hide said, content, as Akira had an uncomfortable look on her face.
"If my father was alive, he would vehemently disapprove of me doing what I think you're suggesting." Akira said, awkwardly.
"Same here." Amon said, calmly.
"Sharp as ever, you two." Hide said, chuckling.
"Hide…Why go this far for Kaneki?" Amon said, wondering, as Hide sighed.
"Because I will fucking love him until the day I die. My ride or die. Simple enough." Hide said, chuckling, as a small smile emerged from Amon's face.

"Let me check." Touka said, as she walked to the door. She checks the peephole with her right eye. Her eyes widen in shock upon seeing Hide, Amon, and Akira. She opens the door.
"Sup, Touka?!" Hide said, delighted.
"No…way…" Touka said, as everyone else looked to see Hide, Amon, and Akira.

"When it becomes active again, it'll go on a feeding frenzy to build up it's energy once more." Kimi said, calmly, as Scientist #1 looked at her.
"If that happens, then the damage will spread across the Wards adjacent to where it's currently at!" Scientist #1 said, alarmed.
"Correction. It will spread across ALL 23 wards." Kimi said, clarifying.
"Can you explain, Ms. Nishino?" Marude said, confused, as Kimi folded a piece of paper into an origami.
"Think of the Kagune as this." Kimi said, as she held the origami up while everyone looked confused.
"The origami crane's surface area is 40% of the original paper. When unfolded, it has 2.5x the surface area." Kimi said, as she undid the origami crane.
"That Kagune out there is like origami folded numerous times, carrying a vast matrix that Dr. Kano called the 'Origami Structure'. By consuming a large portion of Kakuho, it'll hold numerous origami cranes within." Kimi said, calmly.
"So, it'll get bigger the more Kakuho it eats." Marude said, as he looked at Kimi.
"Precisely. It's huge, but there should be an individual host inside that entity. If we can remove that body, the entity will decay. However, it'll be like finding a needle in a haystack." Kimi said, calmly.
"Any other options?" Marude said, wondering.
"Wait for it to die naturally. Kano said that RC Cells is structured like Telomeres. Predetermined cell division." Kimi said, as Dr. Chigyo spoke.
"Hayflick Limit! If that thing reaches its limit, it'll die on its own!" Dr. Chigyo said, as Marude looked at him.
"How long's that gonna take?" Marude said, curious.
"Two centuries, at best." Kimi said, bluntly, as Marude's face went pale white.

"The hell is this?!" Marude said, flustered, as Investigator #11 turned to look at him.
"We have GHOULS at the gate, sir!" Investigator #11 said, alarmed, as Saiko looked at the 10 dozen Ghouls in front of her.

"Someone get me my Angel Beat, quick!" Tanakamaru said, alarmed.
"Quiet, Mougan! Nagachika, what the hell is this!?" Marude said, angrily, as Hide looked at him.
"I brought assistance." Hide said, calmly.
"The fuck you just say?!" Marude said, floored.
"Kimi told us over an hour ago. You guys are digging out the main host." Hide said, as Marude looked at him, alarmed.
"The humans can't handle the heavy work all by themselves. That's why you need ALL the help you get." Hide said, calmly.
"Are you saying we partner with the Ghouls?!" Marude said, floored.
"YES!" Hide said, as Marude looked on, horrified.
"The main host happens to be my best friend, Ken Kaneki. These people that I've brought with me are willing to help." Hide said, as the rest of the investigators looked on.
"The One-Eyed King?!" Investigator #12 said, shocked.
"Maman…?" Saiko said, surprised, as the rest of the investigators looked confused.
"Wasn't he executed back in February?!" Investigator #13 said, wondering.
"I heard the rumors, but…" Investigator #14 said, puzzled.
"Can somebody tell me what the hell is going on here?! Where's the Bureau Chief?!" Investigator #15 said, frustrated, as Marude then sees Ui, Hirako, and Yusa arrive from the back. Ui is wearing a black sweater, white jeans, black leather belt, and black Vans. Hirako is wearing a white trench coat, black work shirt, black pants, black leather belt, and black Alfani leather shoes. Yusa is wearing an unzipped blue sweater, yellow t-shirt, baggy brown pants, and green Skechers.
"He resigned." Ui said, calmly, as the investigators looked at Ui, shocked.
"He quit?" Investigator #16 said, baffled.
"What's FCI Hirako doing here?" Investigator #17 said, quietly.
"Bureau Chief Washu was using the CCG for his own gain. He faked Ken Kaneki's execution to earn our trust and caused a nationwide manhunt on the infant daughters of Isaac Gutierrez. Washu's real goal was to bring forth the entity that's wreaking havoc in our city, courtesy of Operation Cabra Negra. We fell hook, line, and sinker to him. Hirako, too." Ui said, as Hirako and Marude had deadpan looks on their faces, while tears welled up in Tanakamaru's eyes.
"Hirako, my boy. I had no idea!" Tanakamaru said, tearfully, as Ui chuckled.
"It's already been a crazy year, in my opinion. Ghouls at CCG HQ…SCIs Amon and Marude back from the dead…Isaac conceived kids with the One-Eyed Owl…Sheesh…what's next on the bingo card? Arima and Hairu coming by the entrance?" Ui said, as he looked at Hide.
"You there. You want to dig out Ken Kaneki with the CCG? Do you see how the investigators responded to that idea?" Ui said, as Hide and Ui looked at the numerous investigators around them. Many of them look angry and cautious.
"The jury is out. It's impossible for us to work with Ghouls, no matter the circumstances or how practical it sounds. Right, SCI Marude?" Ui said, as he looked at Marude, who appeared conflicted.
"SCI Ui." Amon said, as Ui looked at him.
"What's the most important thing an investigator must do?" Amon said, calmly.
"Eradicate Ghouls." Ui said, calmly.
"Wrong." Amon said, as Ui looked taken aback.
"CCG Countermeasure Law's preface states that peace is essential and that we must make every effort to maintain it. Therefore, we MUST fight alongside the Ghouls." Amon said, sternly, as Ui let out a defeated sigh.
"I agree." Saiko said, as she raised her right hand while Ui turned to look at her.
"I will fight with Ghouls as an investigator!" Saiko said, as she looked at Amon. Touma and Hsiao raise their right hands as well.
"We agree as well!" Touma said, delighted, as Urie spoke.
"SCI Marude…I heard that elderly people can even sign up to help." Urie said, as he raised his right hand while the rest of the invesitgators protested.
"Fuck this!" Investigator #18 said, angrily.
"I understand the situation, but there's no way I'm working with Ghouls!" Investigator #19 said, enraged.
"Don't listen to them, SCI Marude! If we team up with them, our pride will be destroyed!" Investigator #20 said, frantic.
"Al idiota que dijo eso…ya lo ha sido (To the idiot who said that…It already has been)." I said, as Irimi and I took off our masks for all to see. I'm holding Emilia in my arms, while Irimi is holding Asami in her arms. Marude and the rest of the investigators look on in shock, as every other Ghoul unmasked themselves.
"To repeat what Isaac said, your pride…can kiss my ass." Touka said, calmly.
"Wait a minute! It's the traitor, SCI Gutierrez!" Investigator #21 said, as every investigator looked at me, Irimi, Emilia, and Asami.
"Everyone, settle down. The charges against Mr. Gutierrez and his daughters have been dropped." Hide said, as the investigators looked at Hide, floored. I then walk over to Marude.
"Marude…you look good for someone who's dead." I said, hoarsely.
"Back at you, Gutierrez." Marude said, chuckling.
"Marude…please let my friends help. They just want to find Kaneki as much as everyone at the CCG does." I said, worried, as Marude sighed.
"SCI Isaac Gutierrez, your punishment for all the shit that's happened over the years…" Marude said, sternly, as I looked down at the ground, awaiting my fate.
"…is to pay for the damages you did to my motorcycles. All three of them." Marude said, as I looked at him, baffled.
"As much as I would like to punish you, I can't because I too defected from the CCG." Marude said, awkwardly.
"I'm guessing the book that my wife and I wrote convinced you?" I said, as Marude had a floored look on his face.
"YOU'RE R.J. MacReady?!" Marude said, flabbergasted.
"The book was made from the journals of my wife's mother and my old man." I said, calmly.
"Reynaldo?!" Marude said, as he looked at Urie, and then at Ui.
"ASCI Urie! SCI Ui! Come here!" Marude said, as Urie pulled out the journals and handed my father's journal to Ui. All three look at the journals.
"Ghouls, CCG Origins, Washu…" Marude said, as he then looked at me.
"Rey…you raised your son well." Marude said, chuckling.
Gotta hand it to Gutierrez and those pesky Ghouls, Marude thought, as we then hear another familiar voice.
"We need to end this. The CCG should, at least that's what SCI Shinohara would've suggested." Juuzou said, as Marude looked at Juuzou, Nakarai, and Mikage, who are accompanied by Hanbeh and Tamaki. Hanbeh is wearing a black trench coat, black pants, black leather belt, and black Perry Ellis sneakers. Tamaki is wearing a black trench coat, black pants, black leather belt, and red Champions. Marude then clicks his tongue.
"SCI Suzuya…you don't have to follow anyone anymore. You can make your OWN decisions. You're a responsible adult now. Be advised that if you agree to help with the Ghouls, then everyone here follow you, no matter what." Marude said, calmly, as Juuzou looked at everyone around him before finally settling on Emilia and Asami. Juuzou smiles at them, as he spoke.
"Let's all work together!" Juuzou said, calmly, as the investigators look at him, now relieved.
"Guess it's time to suck it up, huh?" Marude said, chuckling, as he sees Hide and Akira high fiving one another. Ui then looks at Hirako.
"This is what you wanted, right?" Ui said, as he chuckled, while Touka sighed in relief. Juuzou then walks over to his teammates, as they smile at him. Hanbeh then looks to see me, as Juuzou turns to look at me.
"Shinohara will be very proud of you." I said, quietly, as I smiled.
"Thanks, Isaac." Juuzou said, calmly.
"The CCG will accept your cooperation!" Marude said, loudly.

Ward 13, Shibuya Crossing
"The police will guide you past this post. Everyone, remain in line." Moromine said, calmly, as he and half a dozen police officers help some civilians. Moromine is wearing a blue work shirt, red tie, black pants, and black Doc Martens' leather shoes.
"Everyone, remain calm. It's asleep. Every Ghoul needs to be careful with that thing out there." Ikuma said, offering assurance to the civilians. Ikuma is wearing a purple sweater, black jeans, black leather belt, white Converse, and red beanie hat. He also has a CCG armband on his upper right sleeve.
"Okay, people. Keep moving. No cutting in line." Mitsuba said, calmly, as she hands out onigiri to the civilians. Mitsuba is wearing a black sweater, green pants, yellow cap, and red Converse. She's 5'3, has auburn hair (two pigtails), and green eyes. Moromine then spots multiple V members approaching him and a few other workers. Moromine looks puzzled.
"I'm sorry, can we help you?" Moromine said, as the V members brandish their katanas and sprint towards an alarmed Moromine. He barely dodges right, as one of the V members stabs a worker in the chest with their katana.
What the hell?! Moromine thought, as another V member gets ready to lunge their katana at Moromine.
"Ikuma!" Mitsuba said, as Ikuma activated his Kakugan and summoned up his blue Kokaku shield from his left arm. He sprints to where Moromine is and blocks the katana.
"HUH?!" Moromine said, flabbergasted, as he and Ikuma fall back as V Member #1's attack proved to be too strong.
"Who the fuck are you?!" Moromine said, wondering.
"Everything goes now! Humans, Ghouls, and those in-between!" V Member #1 said, as he lunged his katana at Moromine, only to find his katana blocked again by Amon, who has his Quinque, Dojima ½, with him. Amon has his right Kakugan activated, as Moromine looks on in shock. Realizing the situation, V Member #1 and the rest of his group flee the scene. Amon then turns to look at Moromine.
"Surprised to see you again." Moromine said, sighing.
"Back at you." Amon said, chuckling, as he deactivates his right Kakugan.

Kimi, Touka, Ayato, Juuzou, Marude, and I are with FGC #1, FGC #2, and MGC. FGC #1 is wearing a black hooded robe over a pink sweater, blue jeans, and white Reebok's. MGC is wearing a black hooded robe over a light blue sweater, brown pants, and white socks. FGC #2 is wearing a red hooded robe over a yellow sweater, blue pants, and pink socks.
"So den…King kep, kep go cray, so we tek tek tek! But…no hurt. We kee tek tek tek, it fine. Tek king AI, King tek sloslo. We aim hi. Den wen ai brok, it stop moovoo." FGC #2 said, as everyone but Touka looked confused.
"Wen ai brok…king stop mooovoo." Touka said, as FGC #2 nodded her head yes.
"Ya. Like roc." FGC #2 said, calmly, as MGC and FGC #1 nodded their heads in agreement.
"Okay…when the Nagaraja went ballistic underground…all of them attacked the king in unison to stop him. At first, no damage. But once they attacked his eyeballs, the king's attacks slowed down. Once his eyeballs were destroyed, a short while later, the king stopped moving and turned to stone." Touka said, translating what FGC #2 said.
"Eyeballs, huh? Right!" Kimi said, as everyone looked at her.
"RC Cell convergence during the formation of Kagunes can create an eyelike pattern and RC Cells concentrate at the Kakuho." Kimi said, as I recalled every single Kagune I've encountered.
"It's likely that the main body is near an eyelike pattern, then?" Ayato said, wondering.
"Precisely. We couldn't have done this without your help, Ayato. Thanks." Kimi said, as Ayato's cheeks were flushed pink.
"I guess it was worth going underground." Ayato said, trying to not look embarrassed. A mischievous smile emerges from Touka's face.
"You're blushing…" Touka said, as Ayato looked irked.
"Shut up. I really get thanks from humans." Ayato said, embarrassed.
"So, we got to check each eye one by one? Oh boy." Marude said.
"It's better than nothing." I said, chuckling.
"Everyone, we have at least 60 hours to find a way to locate Ken Kaneki before the entity becomes active again." Kimi said, as we looked at her.

Kimi is wearing a white lab coat over a blue sweater, black skirt (knee length), and black heels. She's on her laptop, an HP Spectre x2, looking into Dr. Kano's notes.
A way to find a human within a field of RC Cells…can we apply gate tech for—no, that's impossible. We only have at least 45 hours left before it becomes active again. We're going to have to make do with what's available, Kimi thought, as she yawned.
Thermal? No. Sonar? Plausible. Kano did keep notes of RC Cell wave transcript experiments, Kimi thought, as she then sees a can of Blondy coffee appear in front of her.
"Huh?" Kimi said, as she heard a voice she hadn't heard in a long while.
"Miss. You got a minute?" Nishio said, as Kimi looked at him, in shock. Nishio is wearing a green flannel shirt, brown pants, black leather belt, brown rim glasses, and red Vans.
"I'm sorry. Have we met before?" Nishio said, chuckling, as Kimi smiled.
"Hey, Nishiki." Kimi said, as Nishio sat down next to her.
"I found out from Isaac that Aogiri Tree was keeping you captive. Kano, specifically. I asked Isaac to keep tabs on you while I chased down any Aogiri freaks that could harm you. I never thought I would see you again." Nishio said, worried, as Kimi blushed.
"Thanks. Can I ask you how you found out from Isaac?" Kimi said, wondering.
"I was close to dropping him from a high rise. Didn't know you were his kids' pediatrician as well." Nishio said, awkwardly.
"I'm guessing he never told you that I went to Dr. Kano on my own two feet?" Kimi said, as Nishio looked surprised.
"Seriously?" Nishio said, floored.
"I was worried something would happen to you after Isaac had T-Owl and the Yasuhisas' off Dr. Kano." Nishio said, calmly.
"Kano may have been inhumane, and while I don't approve of how Isaac dealt with him, I can see why he went after Kano as well." Kimi said, awkwardly.
"In that warped head of his, he thought about medicine. Kano's plan was to conduct a situation which would leave the country zero choice but to research Ghouls. What happened to Kaneki was that he became a bomb to draw public eye. Intentions aside, I volunteered to be his assistant." Kimi said.
"Why?" Nishio said, curious, as Kimi gently grabbed his left hand with her left hand.
"The same reason for what Isaac is fighting for. A world in which humans can be with Ghouls, without fear of being persecuted." Kimi said, as Nishio's cheeks turn pink.
"That Kakuja out there is composed of pluripotent cells. If further research into RC cells can achieve medical breakthroughs, then opinions on Ghouls—" Kimi said, as Nishio spoke.
"Kimi. Stop. Do you think humans will want to be closer to Ghouls after seeing that thing out there? 2 million dead. Honestly, even I think Ghouls deserve to be driven to extinction." Nishio said, somberly.
"Nishiki. Think. That's not a Ghoul. The main body is Kaneki, a human. Remember?" Kimi said, as Nishio's eyes widen in surprise.
"Shit, you're right." Nishio said, in awe.
"A human turned into that entity, and Ghouls such as you are trying to solve the issue that was created by humans." Kimi said, calmly.
"There's also something you should see." Kimi said, as she pulled out a file from her Spectre x2 laptop. She opens the file as Nishio looks at it.
"What is this?" Nishio said, curious.
"Dr. Kano asked me to investigate the blood samples of Isaac's daughters. He was able to find a way to reverse engineer their blood and create food that can be edible for your kind." Kimi said, calmly.
"Baby food?" Nishio said, dryly.

Urie is wearing a white trench coat over a black work shirt, black pants, black leather belt, blue leather gloves, and black Cole Haan leather shoes. He adjusts his left earpiece and speaks into it.
"Saiko, tell Touma and Hsiao that were spending the night at HQ again. Get some shut eye." Urie said, calmly.
"Will do. Don't work so hard." Saiko said, over the earpiece, as he walks outside to see Matsuri. Matsuri is wearing a white suit with black vertical stripes over a white work shirt, red tie, gray pants, and brown Doc Martens' leather shoes.
"Urie." Matsuri said, calmly.
"Sir." Urie said, calmly.
"I hear that the Ghouls are helping with the evac situation. It's a joke." Matsuri said, dryly.
"After that thing out there…I've seen enough to last a lifetime." Urie said, calmly, as they walked.
"I suppose that's true. I heard something interesting from Marude." Matsuri said, calmly.
"The Underground King, I presume?" Urie said, wondering.
"Yes. The Washu Family's biggest taboo. The Underground King was a One-Eyed Ghoul from the Washu Family. He held an immense amount of hatred toward us despite being a part of the family. It launched a rebellion against the CCG's predecessors and was driven underground. I was told that Ken Kaneki's Kagune belonged to a member of the Washu. Its shape resembles that. So many coincidences considering that Gutierrez encountered her all those years ago. If history repeats itself, then the King above ground would be forced underground again." Matsuri said, calmly.
"Why are you helping us out?" Urie said, as Matsuri looked at him.
"I have Ghoul blood inside me. A prideful, but shitty legacy. And some are already aware of who I am, so I got to kiss some asses down the road. I would also like to thank the idiots that killed my old man." Matsuri said, chuckling.

"You think Ken's asleep?" Hide said, as he looked at me and Touka. All three of us are sitting at the ledge of the building. I'm wearing a black sweater, black jeans, black leather belt, blue beanie hat, and black Converse. I also have bandages on my nose and right eye. Hide is wearing a blue hoodie, brown pants, purple scarf, and gray Nike's. Touka is wearing a blue coat over a white flannel shirt, blue skirt (knee length), black leggings, and blue Converse.
"GSDF, police, CCG, Ghouls…shit…" Hide said, chuckling, as we looked at him.
"Hide, take off the scarf, will you? It's stuffy for you." Touka said, calmly, as Hide chuckled.
"Well, my face may look hideous, but…okay, if you say so." Hide said, as he took the scarf off. Touka doesn't react to Hide's disfigured face. Me, on the other hand…
"Oye. Anciano. Estoy agradecido por las lesiones que tuve. No necesito más (Hey. Old man. I'm grateful for the injuries I got. I don't need anymore)." I said, alarmed, as Touka looked at me.
"Isaac!" Touka said, annoyed, as Hide laughed.
"Lighten up, Touka. I mean, Isaac did lose a hand. And his sense of smell." Hide said, as I sighed.
"Don't forget. I traded an eye for info and half a pound of my own blood." I said, awkwardly, as I looked at my mechanical left hand.
"Got to thank Dr. Chigyo for making it look so real." Hide said, as I wiggled the fingers on my mechanical left hand.
"He said the eye will be ready in a few days." I said, calmly.
"What color?" Touka said, wondering.
"Green. To honor my wife's memory." I said, calmly.
"Yo, Touka. When did you fall in love with Kaneki?" Hide said, as Touka's cheeks were flushed pink, before sighing.
"When I lost my shit towards Doves such as him." Touka said, as she looked at me.
"His words were 'I'd be sad if you died.' That was when he fell in love with me." Touka said, sighing.
"Got to hand it to him for saying that." Hide said, chuckling.
"He's always there to save me. Now I got to return that favor for him." Touka said, as she looked at the entity from far away.
"I still got to make amends to him. I ended up giving him role he never wanted, and I got to make things right for him." I said, somberly.
"As you should. Hey, how was the wedding? Did he give you a ring?" Hide said, curious, as Touka smirked, before having a dumbfounded look on her face.
"Holy shit…" Touka said, floored.
"What is it?" Hide said, curious.
"I gave him a ring!" Touka said, dumbfounded.

Author's Notes:
This was an adaptation of Chapters 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, and 151 of TG: re, and Season 4, Episode 9 of the anime version.
Itori, Tsukiyama, Hide, Touka, Marude, Ui, Amon, Kimi, and Nishio take center stage.
Itori's attempts to fearmonger the Ghoul refugees almost leaves Isaac at a bleak moment, as she calls him out for his attempts to make amends to those around him, without realizing that he needs to make amends to those that his father, Reynaldo, and Eto, have hurt or upended, as revealed in a flashback sequence of the day of Operation Clown Sweep, where she asks Uta to be recruited into the Clowns. It isn't until Tsukiyama delivers his speech about Isaac and Kaneki's hardships that her fearmongering is washed away.
Meanwhile, Marude, Kimi, and Hide's plan to stop the entity that's wreaking havoc leads to a few surprises. Later on, Marude tells Juuzou that he is an independent man and can make his own decisions.
Ui finally discovers Furuta's true nature too late (even though he knew that Furuta's plan to revive Hairu were a joke), as he realizes that he unknowingly destroyed the CCG's reputation. Later, Ui has a talk with Amon, in which Amon tells him the true goal of what CCG investigators should do.
And finally, Nishio and Kimi reunite, as Nishio discovers that Isaac's daughters are key to a better lifestyle for Ghouls, while Touka discovers how to rescue Kaneki. But they'll need to act quick, because a certain someone is looking for Kaneki.
