"Okay, the building should be just over here." Wally said, peering over some bushes.
True to James and Meowth's word, there were Team Rocket members standing outside of the building. This was their base, no doubt about it.
"Kirlia, we need to be ready for anything." Wally said.
"Kirl." Kirlia said, pointing at Wally's other Pokeball.
"I don't think it's a good idea to bring everyone here right now." Wally admitted. "We don't know how many people are in there, and if they see all of us charging, Brendan might be hurt."
"Kirl." Kirlia added, pointing at Cacturne's pokeball specifically.
"Right, Cacturne's needles." Wally said. "They should be able to knock out the guards. Cacturne come out!"
Cacturne landed nearby, almost making a battle cry before he was shushed by Wally and Kirlia.
"Cacturne, there's two guards we need to knock out." Wally said, as the three poked their heads over the bush. "Brendan is in there, and we don't know how many people are in there holding him."
"Cac." Cacturne said, dipping back down.
"Wait, where is he going?" Wally asked. "And why does he have a Pokeball?" Wally asked worriedly.
Cacturne somehow snuck himself onto the roof, sticking his head down at one of the guards, with Flygon sticking over the other.
"No, no no no!" Wally said, jumping out of cover. "You can't do that!"
"Hey kid, what are you doing?!" The left guard said angrily.
"Umm, where am I?" Wally lied.
Before either guard could react, Cacturne and Flygon landed on top of the two, knocking them both out.
"Next time, just do what I ask." Wally groaned. "Both of you return."
Wally looked inside of the window, seeing a few Team Rocket members, but no sign of Brendan.
"Kirlia, we need to be ready." Wally said, swiping the keycard he was given. "Be ready to pull me out if anything happens."
Wally kept his head low as he and Kirlia made their way in. Kirlia's horns began to glow as he closed his eyes, searching for Brendan's emotions.
"Kirli." Kirlia said, pointing in a direction towards some stairs.
"Is Brendan down there?" Wally asked.
"Kirlia." Kirlia said in agreement.
"Okay, let's get him and the others free." Wally said.
"Get who free?" A girl asked.
Wally turned around to see two girls having cornered him.
"Yeah, I'm not lying this time." Wally said. "Farfetch'd use Knock Off!"
Wally swiped at his Pokeball sending out Farfetch'd as the bird knocked both Pokeballs out of the girls hands.
"Quagsire use Yawn!" Wally commanded.
Quagsire appeared behind Wally letting out a cloud of gas that surrounded the two girls, causing them to fall to sleep.
"This is exhausting, and I don't know if I'll get it right a third time." Wally said, having survived on just luck.
"Kirli." Kirlia said, pointing at a box.
"Experimental tech? That's a bad idea, and also stealing." Wally said. "But on the other hand, these are the bad guys. No it's still wrong. But what if it's useful?"
Wally's rambling was interrupted as Kirlia threw a box at him.
"Wait this is Devon Tech, I recognize these." Wally said. "What is team Rocket doing with them?" Wally questioned, putting on the gloves. "Man, I really hope these work."
In the basement
"I'm telling you I came alone." Brendan said angrily.
"Are you sure? You were talking about some Wally person a lot." Petrel asked.
"I'm eleven, I talk a lot." Brendan said. "What would you like me to say? I can talk to a guy named Charles if you want to."
"I want you to tell the truth." Petrel said. "How many of you are here? Are you after the blue orb?"
"Im alone, and the blue orb is in Hoenn." Brendan lied, as he saw Wally walk down the stairs.
"Rat!" Raticate snarled, leaping at Wally.
"Alone huh?" Petrel asked. "And who's this?"
"I'm Wally, and you have my friend." Wally said.
"Hands in the air, I don't want any funny business." Petrel said. "Now slowly walk down the stairs."
"Okay, just don't hurt Brendan or me." Wally said walking down.
"What are those?" Brendan asked, seeing Wally's gloves.
"Kirlia! Quagsire! Flygon! Cacturne! Farfetch'd! Let's go!" Wally called out, only clenching his fists, as red beams shot out from his gloves.
"Weezing, Raticate, get them!" Petrel commanded.
"Cacturne use Needle Arm and Flygon use Dragon Breath on Raticate! Kirlia use Pyschic and Quagsire use Waterfall on Weezing! Farfetch'd use Poison Jab on the lock!" Wally called out.
With all five of his Pokemon out, they were able to hold off Weezing and Raticate as Petrel was shocked at the Farfetch'd flying right for him.
"Surround him!" Petrel shouted, as he got back up.
"Kirlia use Psychic!"
Kirlia spun the large group of Koffing around as they tried to surround Wally and his team.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel shouted.
"Flygon use Dragon Breath!"
Flygon spun the other direction of the Koffings, setting their attacks ablaze before they could reach Wally.
"Wally, get out of here!" Brendan shouted.
"Not without you." Wally said. "Quagsire get Brendan free with Rock Smash! Cacutrne cover him with Pin Missile!"
Quagsire slid forward, biting down on the lock to the cell as Cacturne fired off a barrage of needles, causing the Koffing to fall to the floor.
"Weezing use Double Edge!"
"Kirlia use Psychic!"
Weezing drew in closer and closer, but Kirlia hadn't stopped it yet.
"Kirlia." Wally said worriedly. "Flygon use Crunch!"
Flygon rushed forward, swinging Weezing back into Petrel.
"Wally!" Brendan shouted, leaping out of the way of the debris.
"Sorry." Wally apologized.
"No look!" Brendan said. "Kirlia is doing something!"
The small box Professor Birch had given Wally was floating towards Kirlia. The box unlocked as the stone came out, and Kirlia reached out for it. Kirlia was engulfed in a bright light as he began growing, and changing his form.
"Lade!" The newly evolved Pokemon exclaimed, as the evolution energy shattered around him.
'Gallade, the Blade Pokemon. A psychic and fighting type. A master of courtesy and swordsmanship, it fights using extending swords on its elbows.'
Gallade swung his arms, sending an energy blast at the cell door freeing Brendan, and removing the problematic Raticate.
"Gallade get us out of here!" Wally called out.
"No!" Petrel said.
Wally, Brendan, and all of Wall's Pokemon were instantly vanished from the base.

Wally's gloves are actually a thing he has in the adventure manga, allowing him to send out his pokemon without the full need of his hands and arms. Felt like they were a fun inclusion for something only he ever used.
