As the Ghostbusters posed, five shadows swooped over the crowds. The guns were aimed at the sky but the black silhouettes were definitely not ghosts. Pasty skin aside the five figures were human in shape, black capes spread like wings they came in to land beside the hazmat suited team.
"Nice entrance." Said the trap holder.
"Why thank you, the DeVampong clan pride themselves in our skills in the sky!" The oldest male said.
The group consisted of two adults- a man and a woman-, two teenage boys, and a baby boy who giggled in the arms of the woman.
"What brings you all to the festival?" Asked the taller of the three men.
"Oh we just stopped in for a bit!" One of the teens, the one with black hair in a red head band, answered as he smiled a two fanged smile.
The other four in the group followed his lead till the signature vampire grin was across all their faces.
The tension was broken by a shout of joyous greeting! The midnight crowd parted for Commodore B. Bed Bug. "Maurice, Elvira! I'm so happy you could come!"
"Commodore!" Greeted the woman. The baby in her arms waved his hands and shrieked in joy at the sight of the large beetle.
"Thank you! For the invitation!" The second teen, the one with slicked back red hair, told B. Bed Bug.
"You are most welcome!" The Commodore turned to the staring Ghostbusters and the festival at large. "Everyone let me introduce the DeVampong Clan. Maurice," The father bowed at the waist. "Elvira," The woman holding the baby curtseyed. "Their son Vampino or Pino as he prefers," The teen with black hair bowed like his father. "Their nephew Siegfried," The redheaded teen bowed awkwardly. "And baby Cubby." The little baby waved at everyone and sucked his thumb between his fangs.
"Here Commodore, we brought our latest batch with us to share!" Maurice snapped his fingers and creates of glass bottles holding red liquid appeared.
"Oh we are in for a treat!" B. Bed Bug took a bottle and popped the lid. In huge gulps he downed the hole thing. "Ahhh! The best Ketchup in the world!"
"Ketchup!?" The shout came from multiple mouths spread out throughout the clearing.
"Why of course!" Pino said. He leaped to the stage and spelled the instruments to start playing. (1) The musicians, startled at first, soon caught into the tune and the music swelled with stings. Soon a xylophone and a drum joined in as Pino and his family took to the microphones.
Siegfried was the first to start to sing as he tried to look creepy or maybe he was acting bad on purpose. "It was creepy crawly night, and I saw a scary sight. The ketchup vampires were all around, but when I told my friends what I found…."
The hole clan took up the chorus shooting out: "Liar, liar pants on fire!" at the shrugging nephew.
Siegfried insisted several times that his sighting was legit but each time the family just chastised him faster. "Liar, liar pants on fire. There's no such thing as a ketchup Vampire!
Siegfried only shrugged again and picked up the ketchup bottles and handed them out. "You might think there rare, but Ketchup Vampires are everywhere!
