The ketchup was shared by everyone, though not everyone gulped it like soda. It was when Jakol was sampling it that he got a tap on the shoulder.
"May I have one?" a high pitched voice asked.
Jakol turned and saw a large being with very distinctive features. Smiling a bit sinisterly Jakol handed the being a bottle.
After taking a mouthful the being smiled with his sharp teeth and saluted. He flapped his wings and took to the air then started his descent as a trumpeting came from the long horn on his head.
The band instantly knew what was coming and a rocking beat soon matched the horn music. (1)
Little D took the mic and pointed to the sky. "He has one long horn and one big eye, I started shaking and said 'Ooh wee, it looks like a purple people eater to me."
As the being, the purple people eater himself, came in close everyone clapped and greeted him.
As PPE came to land in a tree on the outskirts of the clearing Little D begged not to be eaten. PPE just shook his head and said in his gruffest voice, which was really just a bit lower than his regular squeak, "I wouldn't eat you cause your to tough."
Everyone laughed at the joke, even though they heard it every year it still was funny to them.
Little D moved to the side and PPE came to land on the stage beside him. "Mr. Purple people eater what's your line?"
PPE answered: "Eating purple people and it sure is fine. But that's not the reason that I came to land. I want to get a job in a rock and roll band."
The ladies in the audience screamed and swooned and PPE smiled and winked. He then treated everyone to some of his favorite rock songs such as 'Bop Bappa Boopa Lappa Loom Bam Boom' and 'Short shorts'.
Little D described PPE's successful career, his tv showings, and all his popularity.
Then PPE went into a horn solo to wow the hole festival. He ended with a drum beat from Little D and a "Tequila." That sent the audience into a tissy.
