Everyone was mingling after Rasputin's display when a rumble came from the ground. The field emptied quickly and the food stands were converted into floating rafts in a matter of seconds. Jakul looked at the big four who were staring at the ground weapons raised. Kovu was right beside them growling at the shaking ground.
"You all had better get over here."
"I can take anything that comes out of the ground!" Bunny said gruffly.
A cheeky smile came to Jakuls face. "Suit yourselves, but Kovu..." The lion cub looked up. "Make sure you grab onto someone."
Kovu looked confused then suddenly got a face full of water. A geyser burst out and the five of them were drenched. Three more geysers came soon after that and before long the field was covered in enough water to swamp North's boots.
"How is the water pooling here?" Tooth asked as Kovu clung to her.
Jakul snickered. "She keeps the water here while she's visiting."
"Who?" Kovu asked.
"That would be me!" A woman's voice said. The now chin deep water churned as eight black tentacles swam closer. A woman with white hair in a pointed hairdo looked down at the trembling Poka and Corsan then up at the flying fair, with the shaking lion cub in her arms, and sandman.
Sandy's shocked face and the image of the woman above his head showed he knew just who this was.
"Hello Sanderson! How are your mermaid friends doing?"
Sandy nodded that they were well.
Bunny and North found themselves in a tentacle each and then placed on the rafts with the others, Tooth and Sandy landed beside them.
"Welcome to the midnight festival Ursula." Jakul said.
The field was now a virtual ocean and the woman nodded in greeting to Jakul. "I see that things are well underway."
Kovu stared at all the water in shock. "I've never see so much!"
"Oh you'll love the water young cub."
"No way! That is no place for a cub like me!"
"Oh, are you scared?'
(1) Kovu nodded without a hint of embarrassment. He backed away slowly from the edge of the raft. "Big, big, big, big, water. It's very big, big, big, big water. It's deep and dark and dangerous. It's scary and it's strangerus. And things could re-arangerus that big water!"
The cub batted a loose nail towards the edge nervously. "It's awfully big, big, big, big water. It's nice on top but down below, hiding beneath the undertow, you wonder but you just don't know! What's in that big water!"
Shaking like a leaf Kovu drew with his claw in the wood. Each depiction was a fish with scary fetchers. "Things could be swimming around, under there, way down deep. Things will googly eyes, under there, and sharply teeth. Things that squish, and things that squirt, squeeze around your belly, things with sharp and jagged claws, and things made out of jelly, things that bite, and things that never sleep!"
The cub looked up at the moon sadly. "I wish the sun would rise up, and make the water rise up. I wish I could say goodbye ta that big water!"
Jakul looked between Ursula and kovu an evil glint in his eye. He knew what was coming next!
