"Been a long time." The Jackalope said.

"Douglas?" Bunny whispered in disbelief.

"Ha, ha! I haven't heard that name in a long, long time! It's so good to see an old comrade! What are the odds that the year me and Simon come to the festival is the same year that you do?"

"How...how long have you been…?"

"I got here around the 13th century. I was on an escape pod that was adrift. When I got here I landed in Persia and traveled around, saw England for a while, then made my way to north America. I heard about the legend you had made for yourself, hoped we could meet up but you'd became a recluse."

"Alright I'll give you that, but what about these?" Bunny took one of the antlers in his paw and tried to tug if off Douglas' head.

"Ow! Ow! OW!" Douglas exclaimed!

Bunny let go in absolute shock! "There...you…."

"Ha, ha Yep, they're real and they're mine. I grew them as I traveled and my legend grew."

"What the dingo? How could a legend grow with you having antlers when you never had them in the first place? How did that even get started?"

Douglas looked embarrassed. "When I landed In Persia it was really more of a crash! I hurt my head bad so I used the first aid kit to bandage myself as best I could. But you know my skills as a medic were always far from great. My head wrap was haphazard and stuck up at odd angles. First person to see me thought I was something like a unicorn only instead of a horse I was a rabbit. By the time my head was healed up the horn had become a real thing thanks to the spread of the story. When I got to England it was a good size longer. In North America, though someone made a rabbit with antelope antlers taxidermy trophy and the story spread even further and faster than the others. Soon my one horn gained a partner and both expanded to the five points."

"Ah hem!" North coughed to get Bunny's attention.

The Guardian of Hope turned barely held back tear filled eyes. "Everyone this is my Pooken comrade in arms, Douglas!"

"Another Pooka!" Tooth exclaimed.

"I know right!" Douglas said.

Everyone congratulated Bunny and Douglas, listening to old stories and new from before and after the war of the Golden age. The sheep walked over and smiled politely. "Sorry to interrupt."

"Not at all Simon! I want you to meet Bunnymund!" Douglas introduced.

With a deep bow the sheep greeted Bunny, his newly grown flees shining like snow in the moonlight. They chatted for a bit before Simon chuckled and said: "I can see you want to know how my flees grew back so fast."

Jack looked self-conscious but nodded.

"No need to be uncomfortable, everyone wonders. I have a connection to the golden fleece, though truthfully my wool looks more silver like. Anyway the golden fleece has restorative properties and that comes out by my wool growing back fast."

"How did you meet Douglas?" Bunny asked.

"He helped me when I was at a real low point. That story we just sang is the real tail of how we meet. My bounding brought people to see me as a special sheep and that led me to being connected to the legend of the fleece. Who knows how people make these connections?"

"Then how do you do the zhering part of your tail?" Ashed North.

"Oh that's our good friends the rainbow spirits. They are amazing at shadow puppetry."

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet colors whirled around the group. The beings in the lights were animals. The red was a snake, the orange a gecko, the yellow a sheep, the green an ostrich, the blue a hake, the indigo the woodpecker, and the violet a kangaroo. In the light they created shadow images of other Australian animals.

(1)The Lights palsied and a drum beat came with it accompanied by the sound of clapping hands as the animals brought their wings, paws, or jaws together.

"We used to fight with each other. That was before we discovered that when our friendship is real we can just saw what we feel!"

The rainbow spirits shot into the air creating trails of color in their wake. "The music takes us to the top, as we learn how the rainbow-the rainbow rocks!" A bright, beautiful rainbow arched over the festival. It didn't matter that it was the middle of the night, never was there a clearer rainbow in anyone's memory.
