Maui's performance had spurred something in the Guardians.
"Ve can perform yes?" North asked.
"Course!" Jack shouted happily.
"What you have in mind mate?" Bunny asked.
"Group performance, vhat else?!"
"North we have nothing prepared." Tooth put in.
Sandy made a dream sand Guardian group trying to do an impromptu dance and winding up in a mess of limbs.
"But ve vork well together, you all vory too much!" North argued.
"We are not going to fight on stage!" Bunny stated with his arms crossed.
Sandy started a small dance step with silent snapping of his fingers added.
"No, we are not doing the fight dance ether!"
"How about we just sing?" Tooth offered.
A question mark and a musical note of dream sand floated above Sandy's head.
"How about…." Tooth trailed off as she came to a blank.
As they discussed the crowd started to mingle and the band took a well earned break. Through the throng a small figer could be seen weaving in and out of legs. When that became too tricky they opted to hover over the heads in front of them. The finger wore a simple cloak that completely covered them, but you could see their head moving back and forth beneath their hood if you watched closely.
The figure had come on a wim, not sure if they should be here at all. As had become accustom for her she started to hum and then whisper sing to herself. (1) "A million thoughts in my head, should I let my heart keep listening? Till now I've walked the line, nothing lost but something missing. If only I knew what my heart was telling me! If only I could read the sines in front of me, I could find the way to who I'm meant to be."
Green eyes flashed as they spotted the Ghost boy Danny Phantom. "Every step, every word, with every hour I'm falling in. To something new, something brave, to someone I have never been."
She flew over and the wind wiped her hood off and billowed her cloke. You could now see her striking white hair pulled back in a pony-tail and her white and black suit complete with gloves and boots.
Danny's ghost sense went off and he spun to see the figure coming at him. "Dani!"
No longer whispering, Dani called out. "Am I crazy? Maybe we could be family!"
Danny and Dani embraced mid air. "Is this just a dream?"
"No Dani it's real!" Danny told her.
"Is the offer to stay still open?"
"Of course!"
Cheers rang around them as the halloween group celebrated with the two Phantoms. So loud was it that it got through to the bickering Guardians.
"Who's that?" Tooth asked.
"That's Dani Phantom." King said.
"We know about the boy, we're talking about the girl who looks like him." Bunny clarified.
"I know, that is Dani-with an i. She's Danny's clone. After about with his arch enemy, Dani joined Danny in the fight and then went on a journey to find who she was as an individual. Looks like she's come back for good."
Silence followed. For a long stretch of time.
"Vas not expecting zat." North finally voiced.
"Ha, ha, Everyone has similar reactions when they first hear the story." Chess assured.
"I'm glad to see she's back!" Jack said, watching the hug. "He's been hoping for this for a long time, and by the looks of it, so has she!"
"I say we greet her in the best way possible!" Rubezahl said. He then gave North a pat on the back and whispered in his ear.
