"That went rather well!" Bunny commented.
"Cankey! it was great!" Bilbi said.
"Honk!" Charlie agreed.
"Sure was, but if you don't mind me asking. Why an egg hunt?" A lama asked as it made its way forward.
"Who are you?" Bunny wondered.
"Lama," She said in answer. "My kind has become more popular as of late as a spring symbol like Lambs. But back to my question."
"It's a fun way to give out eggs." Bilbi says.
Bunny took it a bit further. (1) "I am gratified to let you in on the secret that has kept you mystified."
"Why do you Mister Bunny, on this Hippity hoppity day, insist on a game of hide and seek in your own peculiar way?" Lama asked. "Why don't you make it simple, why aren't your hiding places right before our eyes? We think we could solve the mystery if we has some other clues."
"Sure I could make it simple, give you a treasure map. That would tell exactly where all the eggs are at."
"But what about the surprise and thrill of the hunt?" Bilbi asked shocked as his ears drooped.
Bunny put a hand on his shoulder and smiled. "Exactly," Turning back to Lama he continued. "If you take a friend's advice, we can both agree, that what is truly valuable never comes that easily."
Bunny and Bilbi hopped away and Lama followed. Getting quiet, almost like he was telling an important secret, Bunny said. "Can you really keep a secret?"
Lama nodded.
"Do you really want to know?"
An even stronger nod.
Bunny tapped his foot twice. "Now you see it," The tunnel opened and Bunny leapt down it. " Now you don't." His voice Echoed from the tunnel as he continued. "If you don't try you surely won't. There's that marry melody, it sends you skipping down the path to discovery."
Bunny hopped back out of the Tunnel, goodies in hand. The little eggs with legs bounced on his open palms. "So you think you know where it's hidden. How I made it disappear." The googies leapt to the ground and scurried off. "Where do you think it went when you know it isn't here. You might think I'm fooling you, it's just part of my technique. When I'm hiding Easter eggs I'm playing hide and seek."
The googies started playing catch me if you can as it peeked in and out of hiding places. "But it's much more than a slight of hand, much more than a game. I carefully hide each Easter egg to make it harder for you to calm. When you actually find it, and it's resting in your hand, there's joy in the discovery and a world at your command!"
Bilbi was leaping in joy, the googies were running around happily, the lambs were chasing them, and the rabbits of Eastre were helping the googies hide.
"Just a final word to one and all to guide you on your way. Discovery is just around the corner and tomorrow's another day!"
Lama nodded his head the hardest he had so far, his long neck making it look like he was a crane as he did so. "I believe I understand better now."
