Nadia and Ricochet had arrived to the hotel room as she decided to take the doll with her. She explained to Ricochet where it came from and how she came across it.
Ricochet was a little creeped out but Nadia saw no issue with it, brushing it off as nothing.
Her husband on the other hand, said the doll reminded him of the movie, Annabelle and Dead Silence combined.
"Baby, it's just a gag gift is all. We are newlyweds and I'm sure my friends only did that to mess with me. They love to pull jokes like this." She chuckled, tossing the doll on the desk.
She walked over to pour herself a nice glass of wine from the mini bar. She was happy that next week they would have 3 days off. She wanted to spend more time with her dream guy and enjoy the newlywed life a little longer.
Yeah, she was a bit selfish. You couldn't blame her, you know.
"I can take a joke. Even a prank. But that's just creepy. Are you sure it was one of your friends that did it?" He questioned, looking at the doll strangely. "Should we even have it in the room with us?"
Nadia thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, you definitely got a point. I'll get rid of it in the morning."
Ricochet yawned as he nodded with agreement. "I'm going to take a quick shower and head for sleepytime. Wanna join me baby?"
"No thank you honey. I've already showered before I left. I'm just going to go on my laptop to do a few things, see if we have anything upcoming for Monday Night RAW in a few weeks, especially since you were great in your match tonight."
"More than just great, you know."
She ignored that hint of arrogance he had in his tone as she blew him a kiss. He deserved to be a little bit arrogant regarding his win, even if she found it annoying from time to time.
It's nothing. Every man has its flaws, Diddly Dee.
That's what she always said whenever she came across a feeling of annoyance.
While Ricochet was in the shower, she got on her laptop.
She looked up from what she was doing currently, for a brief minute and saw the doll was now sitting up, grinning at her from ear to ear.
Nadia blinked for a few minutes, staring at the glass of wine she had on her nightstand.
"Ok, not even Barefoot Moscato has me THAT drunk." She stared at the doll oddly.
"Why in the hell is it sitting up?"
"Come home..." She heard a whisper. The doll said nothing. But the voice.
It was faint yet determined.
"Come home, little firefly. Come home..." She heard the voice say.
"Wait...what..." She almost said out loud.
She was home. This had to be her imagination. A long night from RAW and traveling. Lack of coffee and sleep.
Any one of these factors would do.
It was then she thought she heard Bray's laughter echoing in the room. She leaped up from the bed as she ran into the hallway of the hotel.
Nothing. No one was there.
She heard that laugh. She KNOW she did.
"Baby, what are you doing out here?" Ricochet followed her out there, dressed in his pajama pants and shirtless.
"I...I heard someone out here..." She panted a bit, wiping the sweat from her brow as she looked around.
What in the actual fuck??
"Baby it's midnight. Everyone is practically asleep. You sure it wasn't just maintainence?"
She was sure she heard that laugh. She knew that damn laugh. Maintanence, her ass!
"Come baby. Let's go back inside."
"But honey I know I heard something.." She was sane, damn it.
"Honey you have barely gotten any sleep. Everything is ok." He told her as he pulled her into a hug, kissing her forehead, pulling her back inside the hotel room.
"Oh by the way, did you put the doll in my sleep spot?"
Wait come again?
"No, I didn't." She looked at him confused.
Ricochet rolled his eyes with a chuckle. "Come baby, you don't need to lie. I know you are just messing around."
"I'm telling you, it wasn't me. I'm all for pranks and fun, but I didn't do it this time."
Ricochet just shrugged off her response as if he was telling her he didn't believe her.
"Come on honey, let's just go to bed. No point in arguing."
"I'm not." She sighed, already deciding to just let it go. There really was no point.
She snatched the doll to set it back in the box to cover it back up. She would take it to a pawn shop or donate it to good will. Someone would accept the doll. There was no way that doll was alive on it's own.
There was no god damn way that she heard Bray's laugh. She just needed sleep.
Another glass of wine and some goddamn sleep.
She climbed into bed with Ricochet as she kissed him goodnight, cuddling with him as they turned off the lights, drifting to sleep as they had to be up in a couple hours to hit the road...
She found herself in a red room, covered with smoke.
She could feel fire, heat. The flames were surrounding her.
It dawned on her completely that she was in a circle of flames, and was also wondering how she would get the hell out of here.
She looked frantically for an exit and there was not one.
She slowly turned around and she fell right on her ass, seeing a man.
But he wasn't a man. He was...an abomination. He was a demon. That face.
Those eyes, were almost soulless.
Staring right through her.
"Let Me In!"
She woke up suddenly, her tank top shirt covered in a fine sheet of sweat. It was still dark out. The clock on the nightstand said 2 in the morning.
She got up and went into the bathroom, splashing some cool water on her face, wiping the remaining droplets off her chin and under her eyes.
When she looked up in the mirror, she almost fell back on her ass yet again, seeing her reflection in fear for the first time.
It was her. But at the same time, it wasn't her. This girl, who was the exact copy of Nadia, except she had red and orange demonic eyes, as though possessed.
There were tears of blood that trailed down from her eyes down to her cheeks, as her "twin" had a creepy childlike smile.
She blinked her eyes a few more times and her eye color was back to her original color again. No blood. No creepy smile.
Just boring plain old Nadia staring at her basic ass reflection.
"Enough, Nadia. Enough." She chastised herself, feeling an impending headache kicking in as she rubbed her temples, trying to calm herself. "It's just your imagination playing tricks on you. You are not crazy."
She turned off the lights and headed back to sleep, despite that her gut was telling her something was going on. Although she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
As she crawled back into bed, she couldn't help but lie there and wonder who was that...that...that thing in her dream???
What kind of dream was it? If it was a nightmare, shouldn't she wake up Ricochet?
No, it's fine. She took a few deep breaths and eventually drifted off back to sleep.
The doll then turned it's head slowly as it slowly sat up yet again. It turned it's head to see no one other than HIM in the bathroom doorway.
He stared at her, turning it's head to look at the woman lying next to Ricochet.
Soon, he would be dragged into the depths of hell. And as for her: She would soon see what he was truly capable of.
All just to bring her home. No matter the cost.
He would hurt her in order to heal her.
Two Days Later...
Nadia arrived an hour early at the stadium, as Ricochet would be running late due to an interview he had to do.
She had a match against Natalya later this evening and was giving herself time to get her mind right so she could stay focused during the match.
She worked on some stretches, doing 20 on each leg, until something creeped up behind her without no warning.
"Hello there, little lamb."
The tiny hairs on the back of her neck stood up. It couldn't be him. No way.
No. Fucking. Way.
There was only one person who had ever used that nick name on her.
She looked up to see that it was indeed him.
Her heart stopped completely, making it almost impossible to breathe out any fresh air from her lungs.
It was Bray Wyatt himself. He was back.
