_CHAPTER 2_
I DON'T OWN FAIRY TAIL AND ITS CHARACTERS, I JUST ENJOY WRITING ABOUT THEM.
Also, I'm new to this site so I'm still learning how to use it but I just wanted to thank all the people that followed this story, reviewed it and put it among favourites. I'm just speechless, I thought I made a mess but you liked it and I'm so happy!
I'll try and upload often but please, be patient. English is not my first language and I need to review every chapter with my beta before publishing it so it could take a little bit of time.
Natsu paced back and forth in his livingroom trying to calm down. How could he tell Juvia that she was his mate when they barely spoke to one another?
He had to do things properly because he really wanted to do everything right and- most of all- he didn't want to scare her away even if she was the one who said to him to just have sex.
He decided to walk into the guild and talk about it with her, yes. This was his plan.
They were sitting in front of one another, Natsu fidgeting with his fingers trying to say what he wanted to say without sounding corny or worse, perverted. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself down and to suppress his instincts that were screaming like crazy just by her proximity to him.
"I will be calm and collected, I will tell her that she's my mate with class and poise" he thought.
"Juvia you're my mate".
"Or blurt it out like that, that works too... Good job Dragneel, now she'll ran away as far as possible from your perverted ass. I'm really a Casanova" he retorted to himself.
Juvia stared at him blankly and couldn't help but laugh at his facial expression. "Hey! Why are you laughing at me?" he roared in frustration.
"Juvia's not laughing at you, she's laughing because of you" she said.
"I don't see much difference" he huffed crossing his arms to his chest "That's because Natsu-san is a bit dense" she said smiling softly at him.
Natsu took a deep breath and looked at her with serious eyes, it was rare coming from him so she just sat there giving him the same intensity back "Look, I know you like Gray and everything but if you're my mate there's gotta be a reason right?". Juvia nodded her head and smiled "Juvia will be Natsu-san's mate but can Natsu-san take things slowly? Juvia is not sure how she feels yet and if she will be Natsu-san's mate she wishes to forget Gray first".
"Slow, yup. Can do that." he said "Can I?" he let his eyes roam on her figure and beautiful features, his mind was slowly drifting to places it shouldn't have.
"So how does it work?" Juvia asked while they were stolling down the road.
"Basically it's just me claiming you as my mate, I will leave a mark on you while we- Erm... Well, let's say that from that moment on you'll be mine" he resumed.
Juvia nodded her head in understandement, her cheeks slightly pink while thinking about having sex with Natsu. She always thought her first time would be with Gray but fate worked in ways she couldn't really understand. She didn't even know why she was taking it so well, probably because her body knew that she was his mate all along.
"Juvia thinks that Natsu-san will have to wait for that" she mused.
"Figures" he thought bitterly to himself "Yup Juves, whatever you want. No problem at all, I can control myself".
She grinned at him "Can you?". Natsu rolled his eyes playfully and snorted in her direction.
Juvia looked around, Natsu's house wasn't so bad all in all but could use a feminine touch.
"You like it?" he asked, she seemed to think before answering "Juvia likes it but it's different from what she thought, Juvia always thought that Natsu-san lived like a pig".
"Hey! Why would you think that?" he asked slightly offended, she giggled and gave him an eye roll in response. He couldn't help but grin at her widely.
"So, does Juvia need to live here with Natsu-san?" she asked rather embarassed. Natsu nodded his head "Dragon Slayer and mate should never be apart during the mating season, I'm sure Gajeel told you that".
"Gajeel-kun said something like that" she answered.
They both stood there in silence, Natsu was ready to implode at that point. Juvia was really shy in his presence and for some strange reason this seemed to turn him on.
"Stop! She said she wants to wait, you can't just be all alpha on her. You have to wait" he thought to himself.
"You can sleep on my bed, I'll take the couch" he said. He suddenly thought about the torture he was about to experience, she wasn't ready yet and he couldn't just impose himself on her but he knew it would be Hell waiting for her to be sure about the whole situation.
"Juvia is fine with the couch" she said while sitting on it.
"Oh no, no way my mate is going to sleep on that" he retorted "Now be a good girl and listen to me" he purred getting closer to her. She blushed profusely while looking at him with wide eyes, neither of them was expecting that kind of reaction from him.
"I-I'm sorry, must be the dragon speaking" he murmured, Juvia shook her head and smiled sweetly "No, don't worry Natsu-san, Juvia gets it".
Natsu managed to control himself the whole day but the night was pure torture, he felt so hot he could barely bare it, he tossed and turned on the couch unable to find any peace. "C'mon Natsu sleep!" he thought grinning his theeth.
"Natsu-san? Is everything okay?" her soft voice traveled all the way to his ears and he felt like jelly.
"Yeah. Go to sleep" he said, it came out harsher than he intended to but it was really hard to be around her in that moment. "Natsu-san shouldn't fight his instincts so much, Juvia thinks it doesn't do you well" she mused.
Natsu stood up and got in front of her blocking her to the wall, he put each of his hands near her head and just stared at her towering over her "You want me to stop fighting my inner dragon?" he asked in a low growl.
Juvia looked at him in the eyes, her cheeks totally flustered and her body like putty in his hands. "I can't simply embrace my istincts, not when you tell me you are not ready to be my mate yet so, yes. It hurts like hell to fight my inner dragon but if I don't do it we'll end up fucking and that would be worse don't you think?". Juvia nodded visibly shivering at the sound of his deep voice.
"Now, be a darling and go to bed, will ya?" he said lowering his voice some more, Juvia's legs were trembling like crazy but she managed to stand up straighter "Natsu-san should probably move his hands so Juvia can move" she whispered. Natsu just moved out of the way and got back to the couch with a frustrated growl.
Morning came too early for Natsu's liking, he couldn't sleep at all knowing that Juvia was so close to him wearing nothing but his old shirt and her underwear.
"We should probably collect your things at Fairy Hills, you can't go on wearing my clothes and the same underwear" he said while sipping on his tea. Juvia set on the counter, legs crossed and looked at him "Yes, Juvia would like to have her clothes and products but Natsu-san isn't allowed on Fairy Hills" she said.
"Yeah but I can't really be away from you right now. Well, I could but since you don't have my mark yet I would be worried sick" he said looking at her.
"Juvia is sure that if we explain everything to Erza-san she'll let us". Natsu didn't seem to convinced but Juvia was probably right "We'll talk with her this morning, c'mon get ready".
Juvia rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and change clothes and was back as soon as possible, Natsu was near her in a second and sniffed her hair hiding his face in them.
"Is there something wrong?" she asked with worry in her eyes.
"I like your smell" he said proudly "Well, I like you having my smell" he corrected himself.
She giggled "Why's that?" she asked. "You see, if you have my smell on you everyone will know that you're mine" he purred in her ear, he was extremely proud when she shivered.
"Let's go" he said taking her hand.
"So she's your mate" Erza mused looking at the two of them. Juvia nodded and smiled softly at her friend "Juvia didn't expect it either".
Lucy was wearing a puzzled expression on her face and Gray looked at the two of them with nothing but pure shock in is eyes, all the guild was looking at them like this honestly. They really didn't want for people to know about the situation like that but Gajeel had to make a comment loudly when he saw them holding hands and that was it. Everybody knew.
Erza looked at Juvia intently "Are you absolutely sure?" she asked. Juvia tilted her head to the side not fully understanding what she meant "Eh?", Erza coughed a little before speaking again "I mean, do you feel what Natsu feels?".
Juvia made her eyes wander on Natsu's figure, he was handsome. She then looked at Gray, she was surprised when her heart didn't flip in her chest but it only took a squeeze on her hand from Natsu and she was a blushing mess.
"Juvia is sure" she said firmly, Natsu cocked his head to the side to look at her in surprise. She was implying what he thought she was implying?
"Juvia is Natsu-san's mate after all, that has to mean something and Juvia is willing to find out" she said with a soft voice, Natsu couldn't help but smile at her. It was a sweet smile that didn't fit his face at all but seemed to belong there perfectly nontheless.
"Than it's okay to me" Erza resumed.
Lucy was silent, a sad look on her face. She couldn't say nothing and Happy looked at her while sitting on her lap "Lucy" he said in a soft voice, the celestial spirits mage stood up forcing Happy to fly not to fall on the floor.
Juvia walked towards the blonde mage with a lost look on her face "Lu-chan-" Lucy cut her off giving her a friendly smile "Treat him well, okay? He's a real pain in the ass but he can be really sweet when he wants to".
Juvia let out a nervous laugh "Juvia finds it funny, she always thought that Lu-chan was her love rival" the water mage said in a whisper "Turns out Juvia was right" she added looking down.
"Don't sweat it, I'll be fine" Lucy said giving her a friendly hug, she was in love with Natsu but she couldn't be selfish. She never made a move on him and he couldn't really control who his mate was and if it wasn't her she had to accept it and try to be happy for the two of them.
Gray let out a breath and put a hand on Natsu's shoulder "You take care of her" he said lowering his voice to a whisper, Natsu simply nodded his head.
"It went well" Natsu said while walking beside Juvia, she was incredibly silent and was looking at her feet.
"Okay Juves, help me out here I don't read your mind, what's wrong?" he asked halting in front of her. Juvia looked up at him with her big blue eyes and he felt like melting in that same moment "Juvia is just sorry for Lu-chan, she didn't want to steal Natsu-san away from her" she said.
Natsu breathed out and pinched his nose "What the hell are you talking about?". Juvia raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms to her chest "Natsu-san didn't notice?". Natsu shook his head slowly as if she was crazy "Should I have?" he asked.
"Natsu-san can't be serious, Lu-chan was clearly upset" she huffed giving him a little push, Natsu captured her by the hips and dragged her close to his body.
"I don't care if she was upset right now, she's my friend and I love her but-" he was cut off by a low growl from Juvia, he raised his eyebrow at her "You don't like me saying that I love Luce?" he asked with an amused smirk on his face. Juvia growled again and frowned in confusion "Did Juvia just growled?". Natsu nodded his head "I think it's because you're my mate, you're starting to get possessive of me" he explained.
"But Juvia is really sorry for Lu-chan, she isn't mad at her" was the water mage's reply.
"I know, you're adorable but it seemed to me that Luce was fine. I will talk to her but isn't it better that she knows? So she can find a nice guy that will love her. Wouldn't you want that for yourself too?".
Juvia looked at him with a soft smile on her face "Just promise Juvia that you will talk with Lu-chan" she said. Natsu pull her closer and nodded his head resting his forehead on hers, he let out a frustrated breath and let go of her.
"Is Natsu-san okay?" she asked. He looked in her direction and huffed "Just hurry up and take a decision please" he pleaded starting to walk again. She just giggled and followed him.
"That's your room?" he asked.
"Yes, does Natsu-san like it?" she asked smiling happily, he let out a content sigh and nodded his head. It smell just like her and just that was turning him on again.
"Ano, Juvia just needs to take away some clothes and beauty products" she said opening her wardrobe. Natsu couldn't help himself as he came up behind her and hugged her resting his chin on her shoulder. He felt her body tense up against his but she soon melted in his arms.
"Dragon instincts?" she asked. He nuzzled his nose in her hair and breathed in her scent, he really liked how she smelled "No, this is all Natsu" he whispered in her ear making her knees weak.
"It is so weird for Juvia, we barely even spoke before. Juvia guesses she's trying to find the sense in all this" she mused.
Natsu nodded lightly but didn't move from his position "It doesn't make sense but I guess love never does" he said. Juvia tilted her head to the side giving him more access to her neck, so much for wanting to take things slow.
He stiffened behind her and let go moving to the other side of the room, she missed his heat as soon as he left her.
"Natsu-san?" she called him, he just stared at her silently and grinned sheepeshly at her "Inner dragon" he resumed. Juvia giggled and rushed throu the bathroom to retrive her products and put them in her bag.
"You're ready?" he asked, Juvia simply nodded her head and they both were off to his house.
Juvia settled herself in Natsu's room, his smell was everywhere and she decided that she liked it a lot.
"What do you want for lunch?" he asked resting on the jamb.
She smiled sweetly at him "Juvia would like to cook for Natsu-san" she said. Natsu grinned widely "Ah! I see you already know the way to my heart".
Juvia smirked "Was it really that difficult to guess?", he simply rolled his eyes in a playful way and she laughed at his antics.
"I never thought you were this fun to be around" he said, Juvia looked at him with a serene expression on her face. She was so beautiful, he was mesmerized by her and to think he never really noticed how gorgeous she was made him feel sick.
"Juvia is having fun with Natsu-san too" she said in a soft and warm voice. Her voice was driving him absolutely crazy, it was like bathing in the clouds and he just loved it.
"Juvia I don't want to rush things between us, I really don't want to but-" he stopped himself, he didn't want to scare her by showing how much he wanted her. His body craved her touch more than anything and they hadn't even kissed yet!
"What is it?" she asked closing the distance between them and resting a hand on his chest.
Natsu instantly felt his body heat increase once more and took a deep breath trying to calm himself down, which- by the way- was becoming increasingly difficult.
"Can I kiss you?" he asked not sure of what her answer would be, he had to try. He was literally dying to taste her, he wanted to fall into her ocean more than anything.
Juvia smiled softly at him "Is Natsu-san asking because he wishes to make Juvia feel comfortable?", he simply nodded while his eyes were staring visibly at her plump lips.
"Kiss Juvia" she whispered looking at him through her lashes.
He crashed his lips to hers, he couldn't wait any longer. It was a chaste kiss at first but his inner dragon suddenly took over asking her lips to part with his tongue, the kiss deepened really fast and their tongues were dancing with one another wanting to explore everything they could.
Natsu took Juvia in his arms and raised her up resting her back to the wall, Juvia interwined her legs to his hips and put her hands on his shoulders not to fall.
She felt him hardening in between her legs and suddenly stopped kissing him "N-Natsu-san" she breathed out.
He looked horrified "Fuck! I'm sorry Juves, I just wanted to give you a little kiss I didn't want to woop you I swear" he was talking so fast that she could barely understand him.
"Natsu-san you don't have to say sorry everytime that your instincts take over, it is Juvia's fault too" she said in a firm voice, he let her go taking distance from her and breathing heavily. He could clearly smell her arousal but chose not to say anything.
"Your body is just reacting to me, we're mates afterall" he said, he quickly added "But that doesn't mean we have to force things. I respect your wishes to take things slow and I don't want to impose myself on you, my needs can wait".
They ate together and decided to go back to the guild, Juvia didn't speak much during lunch.
"Are you okay Juves?" he asked.
Juvia looked at him and smiled softly taking his hand in hers "Natsu-san was so sweet with Juvia before, Juvia hopes she can get used to the situation fast because she feels really sorry for making Natsu-san suffer like this".
He pulled her close to him embracing her waist and gave her a peck on her temple "I'm not suffering. It's just-" he breathed out "You're so beautiful Juves, I'm glad you're my mate".
Juvia was touched, no one ever told her such wonderful things and she really wanted to give Natsu the chance he deserved. She just needed some more time to really know him.
"Plus, I know you'll give in. I'm irresistible" he purred in her ear. He laughed really hard when he saw the blush on her face.
