Hey, so I haven't updated in a while and I am so sorry guys, I've got some unseen distractions in my house now and I will post them when I can.
And without further delay! (Trumpets sound) I present…..
Winx Prime Chapter 13: METAL ATTRACTION!
Outpost omega base-6 am
Thunder rolls as Bloom is walking down a road that led to the base with portal windows along the right side of the road. She looked in the first one and saw a castle. "Cool." She said until the palace was engulfed in flames. She looked on and saw the next portal had a figure in all gold (all winx fans know what's going on) floating to a small portal while carrying a baby.
The next portal showed a baby being found in an office building fire in downtown Jasper. The baby looked to be a few weeks old and had bright red hair.
Before she could see more, she felt pulled to the base and phased through the walls. Suddenly she saw white and woke up gasping.
She sits up and gasps for breath and looks around the room to make sure she was awake. "Whoa, that was intense" she said and laid back down for a few more hours until her alarm went off. Even on a Saturday she has patrol duty.
8 am
Bloom walks into the family gathering space while rubbing her eyes. It was a weekend so she had decided to sit in the base that whole day and relax before the others come and shatter her peace and quiet. She spotted Ratchet at the console as usual and Bee sitting against the wall of the ground-bridge in his real form reading a data pad. "Morning guys" she yawned and Ratchet turned to see her shuffling over to the stairs. "You okay Bloom?" he asked turning to her. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just had this weird nightmare. When does my patrol start today?" she asked going to the little kitchenette and making some coffee. "You don't have a patrol duty today. I thought you could use a break from work and relax, plus, you've been falling asleep in class again." Ratchet said and she glared at him. "How did you know that?" she asked. "Optimus gets calls from your teachers almost on a daily basis. Are you getting enough sleep?" Ratchet asked walking over to her. "I'm fine frankenbot. Where's Optimus?" she asked sitting down and he grumbled. "He's out on patrol. He shall be back later today" the med bot answered and there was absolute silence in the room until Bulkhead fell off of his berth…..again. "Well, at least we know that Bulkhead's awake" Bloom said chuckling and Bee laughed from his position.
A few hours later
The others (meaning Bloom's friends, along with the extra bots) filed into the base and started migrating up to the lounge. "This lounge is not big enough for everybody" Bloom said sitting in her spot on the far left corner with Scrappy. Scrappy was sitting in her lap purring away as Bloom rubbed it down with a warm rag. "I don't think there's any other way of holding all these people Bloom" Sunny said sitting on the floor.
"There's a whole other level up there not being used along with giant wall space that can be used for more platforms. You're with me right girls?" Bloom asked and everyone nodded. "Yeah, that's a really good idea. But wouldn't we have to get your dad's permission first?" Stella said and the girls agreed. "That, and we would have to ask Agent fowler and I just don't want to hear him whine about construction and yada, yada, yada. He gets so annoying" Bloom said and rubbed Scrappy behind the ears.
The computer beeped and ratchet looked up at it. "Arcee, a vehicular form is approaching" he said and Bloom looked up curiously. "Decepticons" Arcee asked and everyone got real quiet. Ratchet zoomed in on the picture and Jack groaned. "Mom." he said and Bloom sniggered. "Again" Arcee asked jokingly and Jack shook his head. "She worries" he said and the girls couldn't hold in the laughter any more so they all broke out laughing at Jack's expense.
The off-white car stopped at the stairs and parked. June Darby, nurse, and single mom to a Jack Darby gets out of her car and hugs her son, in front of all his friends. "Hi honey, finished my shift early at the hospital so I thought I'd swing by. (Looks up at Ratchet) good to see you again doctor (he nods back and gets back to his computer) Arcee; so, where's Optimus?" she asked and Bloom looked at her curiously. "Why do you wanna know?" she asked walking down the stairs and crossing her arms over her leather jacket with an Autobot insignia on it. "He's on a scouting mission with Bumblebee and Iron hide. Frankly I needed the peace and quiet. Sorry to disappoint." Ratchet said and June smiled. "And I wore heels and everything" she said and Elita growled from where she stood by Chromia at the ground-bridge. "Ugh! Are you kidding me! You do realize that Optimus is my dad right?" Bloom asked and June looked at her surprised. "That's odd. This is an extremely unusual magnetic flux for any planet" Ratchet said and they all looked at each other confused.
Decepticon Warship
Megatron and sound wave stood on the bridge of the ship looking at Sound wave's screen/face where they were looking at the same magnetic flux. "I recognize this magnetic signature, Sound wave. And it would be unfortunate to have a Decepticon invention such as this used against us." Megatron said and Breakdown stepped up from behind him. "I will secure the weapon Lord Megatron" he said. "Breakdown hah, If you can be bested by mere humans, what chance do you have against the Autobots?" Megatron asked walking closer. The trix, ya know the three witches from a few chapters ago, floated down in front of him and smiled. "We'll go with him. To make sure he doesn't mess up again" Icy said looking at her nails. "I don't think I can trust three humans to accompany a being 10 times their size. Things could get messy." Megatron said and the three girls smiled. "Just give us a chance. We can prove ourselves." Darcy said and he walked away.
"Go with them Breakdown, and try not to get them squashed" Megatron said and Breakdown grumbled on his way out the door as the three girls, with an ulterior motive, floated behind him.
AND CUE THEME MUSIC!
BASE
Bloom and the girls were sitting around talking when Bulkhead came speeding in the base and stopped next to Mrs. Darby's car. "Hey Bulk! Watch where you park! You almost hit my car!" Bloom yelled and the mech had stopped just inches from the black Lamborghini sitting next to the wall.
Miko and Raf climbed out and Miko cheered. "Did you feel the G's on that last turn? Bulkhead's an animal!" she cheered and her mood deflated when she saw June standing with Jack. "Ugh, remember when this used to be a secret clubhouse?" she whispered and they walked over to them. "Don't worry Mrs. Darby, we were wearing seatbelts" Raf said and June smiled. "I'm sure you were Rafael. Hi Miko, how's school going?" June asked and Miko got defensive. "Why? What'd you hear?" she asked and glared at Bloom who was sniggering behind her COSMO magazine. "Well, let's do this thing jack" Arcee said holding a bundle of hoses. "But I just got here, I brought sandwiches" she said and Jack groaned. "I have to help Arcee test her new tracking system." Jack said walking over to Arcee. "Well, just be careful." June said. "There's nothing to be careful about. It's a routine diagnostic" Arcee said walking towards the ground-bridge. "Are you sure you need Jack for that?" June asked and Arcee growled. "Uh-oh" Bulk said from beside the computer and Ratchet turned to him. "Bulkhead, I need you back in the field to investigate an odd magnetic disturbance" he said. "I'll come with!" Miko cheered. "Whoa, stay put Miko" Bulkhead said stopping her from running to the ground-bridge. She growls and walks away to stand next to Raf. "Why aren't you going with him?" June asked. "Because someone (looks at Bulkhead) thinks it's not safe." Miko said pouting. "But it's safe for Jack to go with Arcee?" June asked. "Mom, totally different" Jack said. "Okay Jack, how is it different?" June asked. "For one Mrs. Darby, Jack doesn't run off when he's told to stay put, or try to take pictures of the battles for her 'scrapbook'." Bloom said standing on the platform next to Ratchet's head. "Bloom, please, I wasn't talking to you" June said and Bloom growled deep in her throat and luckily Ratchet was there to keep her from strangling June.
"Mother knows best Jack. Wait up Bulkhead, I'm going with" Arcee said and Bloom jumped off the railing to flip in mid-air and land perfectly. "I'll go with you guys. I need a break from all these people" Bloom said and glared at June as she was walking out.
"What'd I say?" June asked while Jack complained. "Mrs. Darby, Bloom hates it when someone tells her what to do when she knows she's looking out for someone's safety. For your own health, I wouldn't try and tell her what not to do, she'll bite your head off or her mechanical cat will beat you to it" Layla said standing up and crossing her arms. "She definitely takes a lot of risks. Like that jump for example, she could have hurt herself and one of the younger and more impressionable minds could try and copy her." June said and Stella laughed. "Don't worry Mrs. Darby; Miko and Raf aren't stupid enough to mimic her, well, Miko might be." She said and Miko went to sulk over by the wall. No one noticed that she had snuck off into the ground bridge and with the others.
Magnetic disturbance site
Breakdown and the trix had arrived at the coordinates and Icy didn't look impressed. "What are we supposed to be looking for again?" Stormy asked filing her nails as she floated there. "Be patient humans, we'll find it soon enough" Breakdown said with his missing eye. He looked down at his scanner again and smiled. "Jackpot" he said before walking over to a rather large rock and started hitting it with his hammer hand. Once the rock was crushed, he moved some smaller ones away from a piece of metal. When he picked it up, the trix floated around him and looked confused. "What is it?" Darcy asked curiously. "It's the source of the magnetic disturbance. " Breakdown said and Icy rolled her eyes in annoyance. "I figured that out, but what does it do?" she asked and Breakdown was about to test it before he heard something crawling across the rocks. He activated his cannons and aimed it for the hill.
Some rocks fell behind him and they turned around to see Arachnid. She kicked him in the face and ran for the gauntlet. "I heard a rumor about a rogue con. How about I hog-tie you and haul you in? What do you think ladies?" Breakdown asked the women that he brought with him. He charged for arachnid only for her to dodge and the trix completely ignored the fight because it wasn't that interesting. Breakdown charged again and the spider bot jumped up on a boulder. "Not much for depth perception anymore are you?" she asked and the girls laughed while stormy snorted, because that was actually really funny.
"Well not much for looks anymore!" he shouted and fired his cannon at her. She darted out of the way, and a chunk of the rock was blown off. Shortly after the dust settled, you could hear whirring come from underneath and Arachnid clamped her legs around Breakdown and buried him in a hole. She comes back up a few feet away and picks up the weapon. "So, good job with the oversized wrecking ball. We'll be seeing you" Darcy said and the three of them disappeared. "It was a lovely burial" she said with a laugh and walked away until she heard rumbling and muffled grunting come from the hole. "Sorry, can't quite understand you" and then he broke out of his hole with a yell. She turned, faced him and prepared to fight. Breakdown charged first, and she charged next.
With the bots
Bulkhead, Arcee and Bloom (in her armor) were walking across the rocks and Bloom was looking at the scanner in her hand. "Hey kid, you okay?" Bulk asked and Bloom grumbled. "Hey, don't let June get to you. She's just trying to keep everyone safe." Bulk said and she groaned. "That's why I'm mad! She is such a helicopter mom! I already had a mother until I was 6, and when I came to live with you guys, you taught me all I needed to know about being safe and protecting myself. I really wish she would let up just a little and worry about the three teens and not me. She's gonna get burned if she keeps it up" Bloom muttered the last part and Arcee smiled. "At least she isn't questioning your every decision." Arcee grumbled from ahead and Bloom nodded. "Don't take it so personal Arcee. Jack's mothers just…..protective." Bulk said. "Well, I protected her son for months before she had a clue. Suddenly she wakes up to reality and I'm not enough" Arcee says and a little voice chirps up from behind them. "No kidding. (all three of them turn to Miko, who not so surprisingly followed them through the ground bridge) can't we ban her from the base?" she asks and Bloom does a face palm. "Miko, how did you….." "Gonna need a bridge" Arcee said before Miko stopped her. "Wait! Don't send me back to helicopter mom! It's just, I miss the way things were." Miko said and Arcee looked at Bloom who rolled her optics and turned around. "Strike that Ratchet, its only recon. She's safe with us" Arcee said and Miko cheered. "Sweet! Hey Bloom, nice armor. Did you change the paint color again?" Miko asked as they caught up with the now red bot with blue accents. "Yeah, figured I go more patriotic this time and match my dad. Like it?" Bloom asked and Miko gave her two thumbs up. "Hey bulk, crank up track 7!" she said as she sat on his shoulder plates. "Track seven?" Arcee asked and the minute she did, loud, and I mean REALLY loud rock music blared out of his speakers. "You had to ask" Bloom said covering her audio receptors and glaring at the blue bot. "Don't you think that's a little loud for recon?" Arcee asked and the music stopped. "Aww" Miko said depressed and Bloom transferred over to her shoulder and let her hang out there. "A scout should be silent, but deadly" Arcee said and all three of them started cracking up. "What?" "Silent but deadly, means something completely different on earth." Bulk said while Bloom was trying not to laugh herself offline. "Bulk, let's get our recon on!" Miko said and Arcee looked a little bummed. "I always take point" she said and Bloom turned around with the girl on her shoulder. "I know, but Miko likes to be up front so she can see. Plus, she really likes riding with Bloom, she's a little taller than me so she can see better." Bulk said and they kept walking.
They got to a clearing of rocks and the scanner in Bloom's hand was starting to beep rapidly. "So Ratchet's magnetic flux should be coming from….here" she said and spotted the two cons duking it out for the gauntlet. Arachnid went to reach for it but Breakdown caught her by her many legs and pulled her back. "Arachnid and Breakdown both your arch enemies and their mashing it up" Miko announced quietly while the three bots watched the exchange. "Over that" Bloom said pointing to a ring of orange lights that seemed to wrap around breakdown's arm. "The source of the magnetic disturbance." Arcee said and Miko kneeled on Bulk's shoulder after jumping over on it earlier. "Alright, so what's the plan?" she asked and Bulk put her on the ground. "Miko, don't move. I mean it. Bloom, keep an optic on her ok?" Bulk asked and Bloom scoffed. "So I'm reduced to baby-sitting is that it?" she asked and Miko stuck her tongue out at her. "I'll pull that tongue out the next time you stick it out at me" Bloom said while watching the fight and Miko immediately put it back in. "So, why did you get so mad earlier?" Miko asked the junior bot sitting on the rock with her. "I felt like she was trying to be my mom. I already had one of those as a kid and I lost her, I don't need another one. (She chuckled) shoot, Optimus has been both mom and dad since I was adopted, I couldn't have asked for a better family." Bloom said looking at holograms of her growing up. Soon her attention was drawn back to the fight when Miko climbed up to take pictures. "Whoa, smack down for the scrapbook" she said and took a picture. As Arcee was fighting Arachnid, and bulkhead was fighting Breakdown, Bloom looked around curiously and noticed a chill that had lingered after the source left. "I know she was here. If she stuck around they wouldn't be the only ones fighting." Bloom told Miko and the girl looked at her confused. "Who" Miko asked looking up at her "It doesn't matter, get some good shots" Bloom said and Miko shrugged her shoulders before turning back to the fight.
Soon Arachnid fled after Breakdown activated the device, and Arcee gave chase. Soon the spider bot drilled her way through the earth as Arcee shot after her. Once the device was charged, it pulled Miko's phone out of her hand which caused her to protest, and Bloom had to anchor herself to prevent getting pulled into the range of the magnet. While the magnet was trying to up root her, Bulkhead was being pulled in its direction while Arcee still shot down the hole. She soon started getting pulled towards it and struggled to get free. The two bots got lifted in the air, and pushed back to the wall of boulders. The rock exploded underneath them and Bloom shielded Miko from the spray of rocks. As soon as the dust cleared, Miko and Bloom hurried to help the other bots. They got up to the bots and only saw one. "Bulkhead, the cons are getting away! Hey, my phone" she said before trying to pull it off. "Sorry Miko, it's stuck." Bloom said coming up and helping the green bot to his feet. "Where's Arcee?" Bulk asked looking around. "Why don't you just marry her?" Miko exclaimed and Bloom started laughing. "I'm right behind you" Arcee said and Bulkhead moved to look but didn't see her. As soon as he turned around, Bloom broke into hysterical laughter. "Wow, that is too funny!" she said before taking a picture with her optics and sending it to her phone. Arcee glared at her and Miko started giggling. After she was done, she tried to pull Arcee off by her foot.
"Well, the only thing we can do now is call Ratchet before Miko hurts herself. Bloom to Ratchet" she said putting a hand to her comm-link.
"I'm here Bloom"
"It looks like we have a situation here. Arcee and Bulkhead engaged two cons, Breakdown and Arachnid, and ended up stuck, together." Bloom said with a small smirk.
"You've been magnetized….together?" he asked and she sighed. "And their inseparable" Miko said worn out. "And the device that did this is on it's way to Megatron." Bulk said.
"A polarity gauntlet…..a deceptively simple but diabolical creation"
"Just tell me you can unhitch us Ratchet?" Arcee said aggravated.
"it may simply be a residual magnetic charge providing your current….attraction"
"They're not attracted to each other!" Miko whined and Bloom glared at her. "Quiet down"
"But I'm afraid retrieving the gauntlet is our surest bet for reversing its effects. Once Megatron gets his hands on it….." Ratchet said before Jack interrupted.
"He'll use it for a whole lot more than attaching notes and family photos to the fridge."
Now Mrs. Darby is piping up. "Jack, I'm not following"
"Madam, we are forged of metal alloy, if Megatron could repel us with a flip of a switch, we might never again have another shot at him."
"Instant force-field" Raf said.
"Worst yet, he might use it to melt us all into a scrap pile." Ratchet said and Bloom looked a little scared from where she was standing. "The good news is the gauntlet hasn't traveled far. I would strongly advise pursuit." He finished before bulk pounded his fists together.
"We can get there faster on wheels." "Whoa, whoa, whoa and snap me in half?" Arcee asked as she still dangled from his back. Miko jumped down from her rock and smiled. "Sweet, I'll take point!" "Not this time Miko." Bloom said activating her cannons.
"But, you said….." "That was recon, this is war…" Arcee said and Bloom nodded. "That means you go to Bloom. You don't need to be here" Arcee said while Bloom looked heart broken. "Hey! I could be a big help! Please don't send me back to helicopter mom" she asked but Arcee was adamant. "Sorry, you don't have the experience for something like this." "That's a load of scrap. I took on Megatron and his zombies and held my own." Bloom said de-activating her cannons and folding her arms over her chest. "As I recall, you were taken out within minutes of you attacking Megatron. Go home." Arcee said and Bloom grumbled. "Just wait till Optimus finds out. Jerk" she muttered and Miko groaned. "I'm not risking your wellbeing just so you can hit your daily adrenaline quota. Ratchet, Miko and Bloom need a bridge" Arcee said and Miko groaned again. "You think Jack's mom is bad! You sound just like her!"
"Is that such a bad thing" June asked Jack and he sighed. "I'm gonna go over here." jack said before Ratchet sent the ground-bridge for the two.
Base
Bloom stepped out of her armor once getting into the base and put it in her storage space. "So, why did they send you back?" June asked confused and Bloom growled at her. "Don't push me. I am not in a good mood" she said and walked to her room, before slamming her door. "What'd I say?" June asked and everyone rolled their eyes.
Bloom's room
She sat on her bed and turned her computer on. Once powered up she noticed that there was an old picture of her family before Cliff-jumper was killed. All the bots, even Optimus were smiling as the computer took the picture for them. She was sitting on Optimus' shoulder while Ratchet was standing to his right, Bulkhead on his left, Arcee on Bulkhead's shoulder because she didn't fit in the frame, and Cliff was Ratchet's right. She smiled at the carefree days that they shared when there were no Decepticons to disturb the peace. She went to her journal on the desktop and started writing. She ended up writing for what seemed like hours but was only 30min. Once she finished, she shut her computer down to hear knocking on her door. She accessed the camera outside her door and saw it was Miko. "What Miko?" she asked through the mic. "Can I come in? I think I left my guitar in your living room" she asked and Bloom looked out in the living room to see her guitar sitting against the wall. "Yeah, come on in" she said and the girl came through the door and retrieved her guitar only to see her room was different. "Your room looks different." Miko said looking at the new paint color and nicer furniture. "Yeah, (walks down the stairs connecting her bedroom to the living space) I figured it was time for a change. The girls helped me with a decorating spell and I think it turned out pretty good. Wanna see?" she asked and Miko cheered. "Alright, but you can't tell anyone. Dad says it's too dangerous for me to use my abilities for too long." Bloom said and glowed briefly before her winx came through. She pointed her palm at the opposite wall and created another cube structure next to the one for her music room. "Whoa! that's epic. What is that room going to be used for?" Miko asked as she made the stairs. "I don't know yet. I might just make rooms for all the girls so they can sleep here when they want." Bloom said before her comm-link went off. "Hey, what's up" Bloom asked powering down. "Arcee and Bulkhead are coming back." Ratchet said before closing the channel, "Come on, Ratchet wants us in the main room." Bloom said and the two girls made their way to the control room.
Main room
Miko hurried to the platform closer to the ground-bridge and stood next to Raf while the two Autobots came through the portal. Bulkhead came through first and then Arcee before Ratchet closed the ground-bridge. Arcee handed the gauntlet to Ratchet and Bulkhead smiled. "Souvenir, but…" "We don't advise indoor use" Arcee finished for him and Bloom looked disturbed. "Eww, they even finish each other's sentences" Miko said a little grossed out. "Miko check it out, new battle scars" Bulk said and Miko took a picture of it with her phone.
"Arcee, hey" Jack said approaching her until his mother, June, stopped him. "Let the adults talk. Arcee, I think I owe you an apology" June said and Bloom cleared her throat. The nurse looked up at her and Bloom was glaring daggers at her. "You do?" Arcee asked surprised. "I worry, especially when I can't control things, which with a teenager is all the time. Jack and I have always been close, especially after his dad left and I guess it's hard to accept that all that's changing. I mean I knew it would someday, but you're not quite the type of girl that I thought he would be ditching me for." June said with a laugh. "I think we're all guilty of staying attached to the way things were." Arcee said and Bloom noticed June looking up at her. "And Bloom, I wanna apologize for trying to be your boss. I know you know what you're doing better than anyone and your friends told me that you only have people's best interests at heart. I'm sorry I tried to be your mom, I never meant to." June said and Bloom smiled. "It's okay Mrs. Darby, I had a hard life before coming to live with the bots and I'm thankful that they allowed me to stay here for as long as I have. I'm blessed to have so many people that care about me enough to put themselves in harm's way for me." Bloom said before yawning. "Ugh, I need to head to bed. I have to turn in that portrait that was due weeks ago tomorrow. Hey Tecna, can you come help me with something?" Bloom asked and Tecna got up from her game with Sideswipe. "Were trying to play a game here!" he complained before Miko took her place. "Oh well, see ya later guys!" Bloom called and the two disappeared down the hall.
Wow, that took me longer than I ever thought it would. I am so sorry about taking so long! My life has been one crazy event after another and I just seemed to lose track of time, but I am back and I promise I will try and post more chapters sooner. As for the harry potter story, I don't know if I can keep that up. Message me if you would like to adopt it and we can discuss the terms.
