Winx Prime chapter 14: Rock Bottom
After the events of last episode, Bloom was vacuuming her room when someone knocked on the door. She shut off the vacuum and walked to the door dressed in sweatpants, t-shirt and socks. "Who's there?" she asked looking at the screen next to the door. "It's just me Bloom" a voice said and she saw that it was Arcee's holoform. "Come on in Cee" she said and opened the door letting her in. "Hey, Miko is wanting to go to a concert today with the others. Wanna come?" Arcee asked sitting on the couch. "Can't you people see that I have a room to clean? I have this huge place all to myself and I can't just wave a wand to get it done." Bloom said before Arcee groaned. "Come on Bloom, you're always cleaning. Even Optimus told you that too much cleaning is bad for you. Come on, the others are hanging out with their guardians and Optimus is catching up on some much needed down time. I am taking you with me even if I have to drag you along" Arcee said and she set the vacuum against the wall of the entrance to her kitchen. "Alright, let me go change" she said and walked up the stairs to her bedroom cube. "I really like what you've done with your room, did you make more cubes" Arcee asked looking at the row of cubes lined on the wall with spaces between them. One of them was bigger than the others and it had an attachment on the side. "Yeah, the bigger one is for Stella. She has a lot of clothes and I wanted to make sure she had enough room." She said from her cube as she shuffled around her closet that was attached. "What concert are we going to?" she asked peaking her head out, "I think it's slash monkey" Arcee said and Bloom groaned. "It's always slash monkey with that girl. Alright, I'll wear my concert tee." She said and walked down the stairs minutes later in a black off the shoulder shirt with a strange grunge graphic on it with black skinny jeans, and a black studded belt. She went over to the small closet and picked out her black and white converse. "You look like you're a fan" Arcee said with a smile as she sat on her recliner and pulled her shoes on. "Miko gave this to me. She wanted to convert me into a fan but I only kept it because it looked cool." And they walked out of the room.
Main room
Bloom came into the room and noticed Ratchet handing Bulkhead a scanner device. "You can't be serious! We're going to a concert." Bloom whined and Ratchet sighed. "I detected an energon signature and I need Bulkhead to investigate. You children can go with him if you would like so that you can go to the concert immediately after wards." Ratchet said and Bloom got in her car. She started it and transformed into her armor. "Wouldn't want my t-shirt to get ripped if something were to happen." She said sauntering off into the ground bridge with the others and it closed behind them.
Energon site
The bots, including Bloom, were coming out of the cave when Miko was walking around complaining about the concert. Bloom looked at the scanner and sighed. "By all appearances, the mine's been stripped." Arcee said. "But then why are we getting a signal?" Bloom asked tapping the side of her scanner to make sure it wasn't malfunctioning. "It's faint, but it's definitely energon." Bulkhead said and Miko looked at Jack amazed. "Doesn't make sense. This operation has been abandoned four, maybe five years? And Decepticons never leave energon behind." Arcee said Bloom suddenly heard little footsteps. "Uh, guys?" Jack asked and they all turned to the mouth of the cave. What they saw, was not surprising. "COOL!" she cheered and Bloom face palmed. "She went in, unbelievable." Arcee said shaking her head. "Really, have you met Miko? She does this kind of thing all the time" Bloom said and chased after her with Bulkhead behind her. She didn't hear the exchange between Arcee and Jack because she was too busy chasing Miko.
"Miko, get back here. You could cause a cave in" Bloom growled and stopped when she suddenly felt slight tremors. "Weird, but not uncommon" and she kept walking.
Outside the cave
"Uh Lord Megatron, far be it from me to question your intentions, but I do not understand why we have returned here after all this time…..alone" Starscream questioned and the three floating women sniggered. "You're not alone screamer" Icy said filing her nails. "Who said you three could come" he sneered and Darcy smiled. "We came to watch the fun. Plus, that ship is boring" she said and Megatron walked toward the cave. "Every last trace of Energon was removed from this mine. There's nothing left" Starscream said approaching the cave. Megatron turns and sighs. "Indulge me Starscream, won't you?" he asked and they walked into the cave together while the trix floated behind them. "This should be fun" Stormy sniggered and soon they were in the cave.
With the bots
Bulkhead was walking through the cave and called for his charge. "MIKO! Mi…" "CHECK IT OUT! (He jumps as well as backing into Bloom who was close behind him.) "Now this would make an awesome rehearsal space. HELLO! (Echoes) HELLO CLEVELAND! (Echoes) Are you ready to rock? Whahooooo ow!" she cheered and Bloom just shook her head. Bulk looked at his scanner and commed Arcee.
"Arcee found something"
"Bulkhead? Do you read?" she asked and then static.
"Must be the rocks. I hate signal interference." Bloom said and sat down near a large boulder.
"Okay maybe the acoustics aren't perfect." Miko said and Bulkhead looked at his scanner again. "Well, we're here. Ratchet's gonna want a sample" Bulkhead said and started hitting the wall while breaking off pieces of rock. "Do you really think that is such a great idea?" Bloom asked from her spot by the wall. Bulkhead just smiled and ignored her.
With the cons
Megatron and Starscream come up to a large opening where several drills sat. "How intriguing" Megatron said before the flier chuckled nervously and groaned frustrated. "Those incompetent fools, this mining equipment should have been relocated. Why is it still here?" he asked and he flinched when Megatron spoke. "A most valid question" "My apologies master, I believe Soundwave was in charge of coordinating transport (Megatron growls). But in fairness, during your interstellar travels, we all had to assume additional responsibilities, clearly mistakes were made" he said backing away slowly. "Yes (walks towards him as Screamer walked away) clearly. (Punches the wall and pulls out a large cluster of Energon crystals.) Every last trace of Energon extracted?" Megatron asked obviously not too pleased with Star-scream's obvious betrayal.
"Lord Megatron, I can explain" Screamer said trying to defend himself. "Explain what? That you've been hoarding a supply of Energon for your personal use?" Megatron asked before dropping the cluster and smashing it with his large foot.
"No! No you see I…." "DO NOT TAKE ME FOR A FOOL STARCREAM! I have been wise to your transgressions from the beginning. Not only did you pluck the Dark Energon from my chest, in a failed attempt to snuff out my spark, but you tried to raise your own undead warrior with it. It's no secret that you lost an arm in the process which you've since had replaced." Megatron said while his red optics glowed menacingly. "You know about that?" he asked shocked and glared at the floating women behind him who were laughing. "Soundwave is quite competent at surveillance, I can assure you. The fact is Starcream, despite your treachery; I've allowed you to carry on this long because I took a certain delight in following your string of failures. But you've finally become tiresome, predictable, (points plasma cannon at his face) you've hit Rock Bottom" Megatron said before the barrel glowed and Starscream started begging for mercy yet again.
"Wait master please! Give me one more chance, I beg of you!"
(A.N. This is really sad how much he begs for his life. You would think he would change, but Noooooooo)
With Jack and Arcee
The pair walked along and heard a menacing voice. "You have ceased to be of use to me Starscream. So you will simply cease to be" Megatron said as he was pointing the cannon at his head before Starscream spotted Jack walk out into the open and Arcee followed him before stopping in shock. Megatron pointed the cannon at them instead and started shooting.
Arcee grabbed Jack and ran. "STAY DOWN" she yelled over the blaster fire and she started firing back.
In all the chaos, Starscream made a break for it and Megatron got uber POed. "STARSCREAM YOU DARE ABANDON ME!" he shouted and started to fire at him before he transformed and flew away. Although the moment he started firing at Arcee again, she had the brilliant idea to shoot his arm and point his cannon at the ceiling of the stripped mine. He kept firing and the cave started to collapse on itself. One large boulder landed on Megatron and it caused a chain reaction which made the floor start to give way. "Scrap" she said and tried to grab Jack but the both of them fell down the new hole in the floor.
With the others
Bulkhead, Miko and Bloom looked around as the ceiling started to give way. She spotted a pillar of to the side that was splitting and she glowed before making an energy brace that wrapped around the pillar. She created another barrier on the ceiling to keep the others safe and Bulkhead looked at her surprised. When he looked at her he saw a bright orange outline around her and her eyes were closed. "Bloom, are you okay?" Bulkhead asked and once the rumbling stopped, she opened her eyes and looked around at the mess. "Man, who ever started that cave in must have done one heck of a job. I'm glad I sealed it when it started or else Bulk here would be holding it up on his back" Bloom said and stepped back against the wall before sliding down and holding her head. "You okay kid?" Bulk asked kneeling next to her. "Yea, I just used too much of my energy that's all. Are you okay Miko?" Bloom asked looking at the girl who was smiling wildly. "THAT…WAS…AWESOME!" she shouted and the cave rumbled before settling. "Sorry, but seriously Bloom, that was amazing. Where did you learn to do that?" Miko asked and Bloom looked at her hands confused. "I don't know. I just did I guess" she said and Bulk helped her stand up. "Your instincts are getting sharper; you'll make one heck of a warrior kid" Bulkhead said.
Down the hole
Jack came up from a pile of rocks and looked around for his partner. "Arcee? ARCEE!" he yelled as his voice echoed through the cave. "Scrap" he said before picking through the boulders and tries to find his partner.
With Miko, Bulk, and Bloom
The trio was sitting together in the middle of the room talking since they were trapped. "Sorry I couldn't stop all the rocks from blocking us in guys. It must have been a bigger cave in than I thought." Bloom said rubbing the back of her neck. The room started rumbling again and this time the braces on the pillars failed and the weight of the rock snapped them so the biggest pillar on the right started falling.
Bulkhead stood up quickly and caught the rock with his back. Bloom picked up Miko and huddled under bulkhead to be protected from the falling rocks. They came out minutes later and Miko coughed from all the dust and dirt only to look around. "Did I do that?" Bulkhead asked and Bloom sat up slowly while looking around and scanning the cave with her built in scanners. She tried scanning through the walls of the cave but they must have been damaged in the process because all she was picking up were sediment readings from this room.
"I don't think that was you, it might have been another unstable part in the cave." Bloom said standing up and looking at him in surprise. "Are you two ok?" he asked "Great, what about you?" Miko asked before turning around and looking at him. He looked like Atlas holding the world with the cave ceiling on his back. "Peachy" he said sarcastically and Bloom snapped a picture before making sure he was alright. "Whoa!" Miko exclaimed and the femm rolled her optics before looking him over with her medical scanners. "Don't worry Miko, I got it under control." Bulk said. "What do you think caused the cave-in?" Miko asked curiously. "Who knows, I just hope Arcee and Jack are ok, because we could definitely use the assist." Bulk said a little strained. "Keep raising that roof bulk, Bloom and I will get us out of here" Miko said and Bloom helped her lift the heavier boulders.
Outside the mine
A pile of rocks shifted after the dust settled and a large metal hand shot through to reveal Starscream climbing out of the rubble. He stumbled coughing and groaning and turned to look out of the hole that he climbed out of. The trix came floating out dirty and their clothes messed up. "Ugh stupid cave, this is why we always had minions to do the hard work for us." Stormy said brushing off her purple dress. Icy was shaking out her hair and Darcy was picking rocks out of her shoes before Starscream started laughing maniacally. The three women looked at him strangely while pausing their fussing and rolled their eyes. "Yea, he's nuts." Icy said and they disappeared into a portal. "Predictable Master, is that what you called me? Well now who has hit rock bottom? (Puts a hand to his audio receptor) What's that? I'm sorry I can't hear you underneath all that rubble! (Cue maniacal laughter) Farewell Lord Megatron (walks away backwards in a bow.) May you rust in peace! (Walks away only to get a confused look on his face) But you have survived far worse, if you managed to free yourself you would blame me for your setback. And there is no where I could possibly escape from your wrath, or worse your mindless followers would come looking for you and take credit for your rescue. The credit that could rightfully be mine! Argh! MEGATRON!" he shouted and it echoed through the sky as the sun was setting below the horizon creating a perfect pink color.
Inside the cave
Jack was still climbing over huge boulders and rocks looking for Arcee, or anyone for that matter.
"Arcee! Bulkhead! Miko! Bloom!" he called as his voice echoed through the cave. He looked around and heard a rock fall before spotting a drill sitting off to the side of the cave. "Oh, that could come in handy." He said before walking over to the drill and climbing on it.
With Miko, Bulkhead and Bloom
Miko was still trying to lift the heavy boulders while Bloom was lifting the bigger ones. Miko was quickly running out of air. Miko was lifting a particularly big rock, when she stumbled and fell backwards while dropping the rock. "Miko!" Bulkhead said worried and Miko was breathing heavy. "I'm feeling strong" she said with labored breathing. "No you're not" he said and she shook her head. "I just need to (takes a deep breath) rest for a second. (Tries to stand but collapses)" "Miko, listen to me, there's no fresh air down here. If you use up the oxygen too fast…." "We could suffocate" she said panicked as well as out of breath. "Not we Miko, YOU. Autobots don't need to breathe remember?" Bulkhead said and Bloom looked confused. "What about me? I'm human in Autobot armor. Does that mean I don't need to breathe?" Bloom asked and Bulkhead had to reposition his arms. "Right, smack down in outer space heh, heh that was cool. (takes deep breathe) Okay what if I just slow down, breathe, less?" she asked before practically crawling to a rock nearby and trying to lift it with all her might. "No, you need to stop now!" "I can't bulk, I need to get us out of here" Miko said and Bloom picked Miko up by the back of her shirt and opened her cab in her vehicle mode before dropping her in. "Hey!" Miko shouted and Bloom smiled. "There, she'll have plenty of oxygen. Now we need to figure out how to get us out of here" Bloom said looking around and ignoring the pounding sound that came from her cab.
With Jack
Jack was climbing on the big metal drill and saw the blue lights of the controls. He pressed a few spots on the screen and then hit the middle circle.
(AN: Answer me this, how it is that Jack knows how to use Cybertronian Tech? Does he secretly work with Ratchet or is it just picking it up as he hangs out with the bots? Discuss amongst yourselves)
As soon as he does the whole machine whirs to life and he starts moving the machine forward. "Roll out" he says before getting farther into the cave.
With Bloom, Bulkhead and Miko
Bulkhead was still in the same position when he heard a whirring noise. "Do you hear that?" he asked the red and blue bot standing next to him. "Yes, it sounds like….." "Drilling, Arcee and Jack" he said Bloom smiled. "WE'RE IN HERE!" she yelled and rocks started shifting around them. Bulkhead glared at her and she smiled sheepishly.
"Hey, start banging a rock on my foot. They might hear you" Bulk suggested and she looked at him like he was crazy. "Don't worry, I'm tougher than I look" he said and she started banging his foot with a big rock.
With Jack
Jack drilled into the rock wall and as he pulled out and looked in he stood on the platform shocked. Trapped inside the cave wall was none other than Megatron himself. "I suppose helping those less fortunate would be completely out of the question?" Megatron asked and Jack stepped back from the hole in the wall in fear. "If that is the case, you might as well use your drill to finish me, I guarantee you won't have a better opportunity than right now" Megatron said and Jack still had this stunned look on his face. "Well, what are you waiting for? Think of the glory, seize the day! Optimus would" Megatron said obviously trying to get a rise out of the teen. "No he wouldn't, not like this" Jack said before turning around and starting the drill again. "I will be sure to share the details of our little conversation with Optimus the day I rip out his spark!" he shouted as Jack was driving away on the drill and away from the warlord.
With Bloom, Miko, and Bulkhead
Bloom was still banging a big rock when they heard a hissing sound. Bloom looked up suddenly and he smiled. "What was that?" Bloom asked looking around and Bulkhead stammered "No…nothing" and she looked at him like she didn't believe him. "Bulk, what's wrong?" she asked and he winced. "It's my arms, their giving out." he said as he strained to hold the ceiling up. "Okay atlas, let's figure this out. Maybe I can create something that will help us." She said before glowing and making a giant pillar out of a red energy that spread over the rock above his head. "Now Bulk, you can let go" she said as the red pillar formed into solid rock with a thick trunk that could hold three times that size. Bulkhead stepped out from under the rock carefully and was amazed at the marvel in front of him. "You sure are getting better kid. Good job." Bulkhead said and she smiled. The sound of the drill sounded louder and louder as the time ticked by and Bloom looked around. "Are they getting closer?" she asked Bulkhead shrugged his shoulders as he held onto one arm. "I don't know, the sound is weird in here. They have to be close by now." Bulkhead said before pounding a fist on his chest to make a loud metal sound. Bloom picked up on what he was doing and started making the same sound on her own armor.
Soon a loud banging sound came from the collapsed wall in front of them and Bloom got hopeful. "Someone's coming!" she said excited and as soon as a piece of the wall blew out, they heard a menacing laughter that can only belong to one bot. "Put any doubt of my allegiance to rest…." He started saying before he spotted the two bots standing in the cave looking at him. "Oh great it's him" Bloom groaned and face palmed. "What's he doing down here anyways! I thought seekers got nervous underground?" Bloom asked throwing her arms up and sighing. Soon the wall was broken down and the cave started shaking again. Starscream came walking through the opening through the dust laughing maniacally and showing his long claws.
"Well, well. If it isn't Bulkhead and prime's little brat, how Megatron will be proud when I dispatch that thorn in his side." Starscream growled and Bloom activated her cannons and aimed her guns at him. "Back up Screamer or I'll shoot" Bloom warned and he laughed. "You don't scare me femme. You must like playing with the big bad robots don't you little girl?" Starscream asked and Bloom finally lost it and punched him in the face which sent him backwards and scratched up his faceplate quite a bit. He got back up and aimed his rockets for the two of them until the drill smacked right into him and knocked him into the wall. Jack looked around the console and saw the two bots. "Jack, you need to get Miko out of here!" Bloom said and let Miko out from her cab. The poor girl was still low on oxygen but she was altogether ok until she was carried to the drill and dropped onto the metal of the equipment. Miko looked back at Bulkhead and Bloom before the drill backed out of the cave and large rocks fell from the vibration of the machine. Starscream stood and looked to the other bots in the room. "And then there were three" he growled and Bloom smiled. "No screamer, it's just the two of us" she growled and armed herself again.
With jack and Miko
"Arcee will save them won't she?" Miko asked and Jack sighed. "You and I just need to find a way out of here before Megatron digs himself free" Jack said before turning back to the controls. "Megatron is here too!" she exclaimed and Jack turned the drill around and started driving until something blocked their path.
Bulkhead and Bloom…And Starscream
"If you think we're gonna beg for mercy Starscream, forget it" Bulkhead said as he activated his only available wrecking ball since one of his arms are not operating. "Uh, yes, begging for mercy would be quite pathetic wouldn't it. Well your much more valuable to me alive. Imagine Megatron's appreciation when I not only rescue him but deliver an Autobot, and Prime's insect spawn. I believe that would restore my stature quite nicely." Starscream said before he heard the charging of a gun and turned around to see Arcee standing there aiming their guns at his face. "Don't move Starscream!" Arcee warned as her gun warmed up. "Hey bulk, Bloom" she said looking at the two other bots behind the cowardly seeker. "Hey Cee" Bulkhead and Bloom said at the same time. "Raise your hands" she ordered as her gun was aimed directly at his face. "Ah!" he whined and the group made their way out of the cave. "This is the last time I go cave exploring with Miko" Bloom stated before they drove off and out of the cave with the other two bots laughing as they did.
Outside
Bulkhead, Arcee and Bloom drove out of the cave and transformed after letting their human partners get a safe enough distance away. "We could finish him here and now." Arcee suggested. "Too bad we didn't bring any grenades" Bulkhead said and Bloom rolled her eyes. "Would Optimus finish them?" Jack asked looking at the bots. "No, he probably wouldn't, not like this." Arcee said and Miko looked around. "But Optimus wouldn't rescue them either right?" she asked and Bloom smiled. "I like the way she thinks" she said and laughed a little. "Let's go home" Bulkhead said before he started walking away. As the others walked with him, Arcee looked back at the cave and one thought crossed her mind. –what if we did finish them, would this war finally be over?- but she decided against it and walked away.
In the cave
Starscream stood in the same place Bulkhead had stood but the difference was that Bloom had removed the brace and he was now holding up the ceiling with his skinny limbs.
He turned towards the opening in the cave where the others left and spotted Megatron standing there. "Ah! Master, you're alive, thank the Alspark! (Megatron stared at him and growled quietly.) I did not abandon you master, I returned to save you!" he stammered. "Save me?" Megatron asked as Star scream's arms started to give out. "Look into my spark Lord Megatron, my intentions were true. Please! Have mercy!" he begged and Megatron raised an eye brow at him as if he was saying –Seriously?-.
Outside
Bloom and the gang were walking away and she put a hand to her audio receptor. "Ratchet we're gonna need a bridge" she said and she heard static before a panicked voice came over the line. "It's about time someone answered. You have been gone for over 12 hours! What happened! I was about to send Optimus after you!" he yelled and Bloom cringed. "Doc, I'm fine. Can we please get a bridge? Everyone is very tired and exaughsted. And I have school tomorrow." Bloom said and the doctor laughed a little before the swirling green vortex appeared and everyone piled in.

Okay so that's the long awaited update. I am so sorry I kept everyone waiting for so long. I will try and be better about updating in the future and keeping it on a schedule. Love ya guys and thanks for being so dedicated to my stories. I will try and keep up with it but my life is very attention demanding and it gets harder everyday.
