The sound of voices woke Katsuki, reaching out he felt the empty bed. Patting the nightstand he found his phone, he clicked on the screen, it was after noon. Where the fuck was Deku? Sitting up, Bakugou turned on the light, his stomach rumbled loudly as his nose picked up the scent of food. Getting up he pulled on his clothes and opened the bedroom door. Kiri and Sero were sitting with a few of the babies, two huge carts of food next to them.
"Katsuki! Come eat, tons of food man," Kiri waved him over, pointing to a stack of plates. Nodding groggily, he yawned, grabbing a plate and piling food on top.
"Where's Deku?"
"He's in Shinso's room, he's on a call."
"By the way, where's Shinso?" Sero looked at the bedroom, "he always sleeps in his own bed," he gave Katsuki a worried look.
"He slept on the bus, he got hijacked by that asshole reporter from his past, got dosed with some drugs, so he stayed there with Ojiro to burn it off."
"What the fuck!?" Sero leapt to his feet, "are you shitting me!?"
"Sit down, it's over, at least for now," Katsuki sat down and started to eat.
"I gotta go see him, make sure he's okay," Sero started for the door.
"Oi, sit the fuck down, he's going to be balls to the wall hungover today, leave him be, he's gotta perform tonight."
"Oh shit," Sero turned, "you think he'll be able to?"
Shrugging Katsuki ate a piece of bacon, "he told me it happened a lot in the Wonder years, when the fucker gave him shit back then, so I imagine he can do it now."
The door to the bedroom opened quietly, Izuku came into the main room. "Hey Sero, are you leaving?"
"No, I was thinking of seeing Shinso, but Bakugou said he's probably hungover."
"Hungover?"
"He doesn't know?" Sero looked at Bakugou.
"He was asleep."
"Know what?" Izuku looked between Sero and Kacchan
"Shinso was drugged by a reporter," Kiri looked over his shoulder at their manager.
Izuku's mouth worked, opening and closing, finally air came out. "What!?"
"Last night, some asshole drugged our Shinso," Sero stormed back to the couch. "I want to take that fucker down."
"Which reporter?"
"His name is Romero, he doesn't normally cover our band, he's more of a kid's scene reporter." Katsuki patted the spot next to him for the nerd to sit.
"Romero Fujimi!?" Izuku sat down on the couch staring at him.
"Yeah, you know him?"
"He covered The Lollipops for a few magazines and web pages," Izuku shook his head. "He seemed so normal, he's a jerk sometimes but good with the kids, knows how to make them feel at ease." Hugging himself Izuku shivered, "you don't think he hurt any of them?"
"Well, he hurt Shinso, so I'm guessing he's not the only one."
"I have to report him," Izuku pulled out his phone.
"Talk to Freak first," Katsuki pushed down his phone. "I think Romero has something on him, he fucking admitted to having some photos of Shinso or something last night when we talked."
"You talked to him?" Pinky stared at his face. "Is that called talking?" she pointed to the bruise on his face. Katsuki shrugged.
"What happened Kacchan?" Izuku got on his knees to look at his face, the blonde turned away. Touching his face lightly, Izuku gave him a stern look. "Let me see," he inspected the faint bruise.
"So Shinso's been blackmailed all this time?" Kiri set down his plate, "why haven't we heard about this?"
"I don't think it's anything he cares about anymore, it would have hurt him as a Wonder, but once he quit, I think Romero lost his hold on him." Katsuki watched as green eyes studied his jaw intently. He wanted to go back to the bedroom and pick up where they left off last night. He ate a piece of ham.
"That's shitty," Kiri stood up, he looked down on the big parking lot below, the tour bus was parked in the RV spots.
"I'm still going to talk to my uncle about banning Romero from the press of Purple High, he shouldn't be near kids." Izuku huffed, the bruise was small.
"I agree nerd, if I'd known who he was, I would've done the fucking same." Setting down his plate, he pulled Deku in for a hug. "Can we go back to bed?"
Kiri cast a quick glance at the two, "bed?" His heart quickened, shit, was he wrong?
"He's kidding Kiri," Izuku pulled out of Kacchan's arms. "You have a concert tonight, so I'm going to be talking to the stage manager soon, get everything set for you. Then you head out tomorrow for your next show."
"You?" Katsuki raised his brows, "you mean us, right?"
"No, my uncle pulled me off the tour," tears welled in Izuku's eyes, he blinked trying to hold them back.
"What!?" Voices yelled in unison.
"You are not leaving!" Katsuki seethed, what was Mr. A doing?
"I have to Kacchan, Midnight could only get a hold of three of the Lollipops, they claim it's not them going single, so my uncle wants me to go talk to the other two, one is Eri. I have to leave in an hour."
"No, you're not," Katsuki pulled out his phone calling Mr. A.
"Stop!" Izuku tried to grab the phone, Kacchan wrapped him up in his arm holding him still.
"Hit video call man," Kiri and Sero slid in behind him, leaning over his shoulders.
"Hello?" Shota flipped his phone on, a big blonde head with the two dopes squeezed in next to him showed on the screen. "What's up? Happy I'm finally letting you have your wish, no manager?" Shota flipped through his internal reports from the investigators, still nothing on the single Lollipop.
"Oi, you fuck, leave Midoriya with us, he's our fucking manager."
"Yeah, you can't have him!" Kiri yelled into the phone.
Black eyes flicked to the screen, surprised. "Wait? You like him?"
"He's the bomb Mr. A, taking care of everything."
"Did you look at Todoroki's blog this morning?" Katsuki hoped Two Tone had been serious last night.
Typing on the computer, black eyes registered shock. "Holy Shit, you're front page," Shota scrolled through the rave reviews of the new song, clicking on the charts he could see it was already ranking. "That's nothing short of a god damned miracle."
"No, that's Izuku bossman," Kiri shoved his face into the screen, a big hand shoved him back.
"Get the fuck back," Katsuki pushed Kiri behind him. "Whatever he needs to do, he does with us."
"You're going to help him with the other two Lollipops while on tour?" Three sets of eyes exchanged glances.
"Yeah sure, why the fuck not?" Katsuki grumbled, he wasn't sure what they were going to do for him.
Taking a deep breath, Shota continued to read the rave reviews on the concert, whatever Izuku was doing it was working. "Okay, Midoriya has his orders, we need to figure out who signed, why they did and get a hold of the damn contract so I can figure out how to break it." Leaning closer to the phone so only his eyes showed, Shota kept his voice low, "get in his way and he's off the tour, hear me?"
"Got it Mr. A," Sero called out.
Clicking off the phone, they looked at each other, "what are we going to do?"
"Thanks, Kacchan, guys, but really I should go on my own, it'll be easier."
"Soy Sauce, doesn't your dad or uncle have a PI firm?"
"Yeah, I could get him to help us out."
"Really Kacchan," Izuku tried to push out of his arm, "I already have a train ticket."
"I don't know Bakugou, a lot of people are sniffing this story, bet there's a ton of people scratching around them right now," Kiri sat down across from him.
"True, but any fucking piece of information is important, plus after our next concert we have a break."
"Kacchan, let go, you're not listening to me!" Izuku wiggled harder, he tugged at his arm.
"That's true," Sero pulled up the schedule, "we go from here straight to the venue tomorrow night then we skip over to the next weekend."
"I don't think you're getting on a train today, Zu," Pinky patted his arm.
"Kacchan!" Izuku jabbed his elbow into his side, he heard him grunt, his other hand grabbed his arms, pinning them down.
"So, we get some fucking information first, then we have some time off to figure shit out." Katsuki reasoned.
"Izuku, do you know them enough to call them?" Kiri glanced at him, his face was completely red.
"Let me go first!" Izuku yelled, glaring at Kacchan.
Smiling down at him, Katsuki laughed, "I'm fucking with you Deku," he lifted his arms, "but Pinky's right, you're not leaving. I'm assuming you've already called them?"
"I have," Izuku sighed heavily. "I was going to head back to the agency to see what I could find out in the city."
"I vote for my uncle, even if it's small, like Bakugou said, any information is good, then we decide what to do next." Sero began typing on his phone.
"What happens if they announce something before then?" Izuku cast a look at Sero, waiting too long was risky.
"A contract has been signed Deku," Katsuki rubbed his leg, "it doesn't fucking matter anymore about time. Every news wire has the story and they're milking this for all it's worth, I guarantee that fucking shit. I bet they don't come out for maybe a month. Meantime we gotta figure out who and decide what we can do for Mr. A, if anything."
"I tried texting Eri directly but she's not responding." Izuku scrolled through his phone.
"Is that odd?" Katsuki looked at his phone.
"Maybe? She's thirteen, could be at school, or her phone isn't charged, she used to do that a lot."
"Okay, Soy Sauce, have your uncle start with her. If it isn't her then we track down the other kid. Deku, send us all the information you have on these two."
"You know Purple High has their own investigators, right Kacchan?"
"Yeah, I know, but everyone knows everyone in this shit industry. We need a new face that no one recognizes."
Sighing, Izuku nodded, "okay, I guess that makes sense, get the information and then we can decide what to do next." Getting up, he sat at the table and pulled open his laptop, logging into Purple High, he clicked on Eri's information. "Okay, I'm sending it to you Sero." Opening the full profile, he scanned through the information. "Wait, this is wrong."
"What's wrong?"
"The file Purple High has on record, Eri made a comment that her parents moved that last day I saw her, something about going back to somewhere she'd lived before. She was excited to see some of her old friends again."
Katsuki got up and leaned over the nerd to look at the profile, "so it's possible everyone is looking in the wrong place for her?"
"Maybe? At least to start, I'm sure they'll figure it out soon enough."
"No worries, Zu, Sero's uncle will find her, won't he?" Kiri slapped Sero's back.
"Fuck yeah. I just emailed him, once I give him the details, he said he'd send a guy."
The front lock made a whirring noise, the handle clicked as the door opened up, Shinso pushed through. His face ashen, the bags under his eyes deep purples and black. Ojiro trailed in behind him.
"Shinso!" Kiri raced to him, hugging him.
"Hey fucker," he hugged him back.
"You okay?"
"No, I feel like shit, depressed as fucking hell." Kiri kept a death grip on him and dragged him into the room. "Fuck," Shinso looked at the glum group, "you all look more fucking depressed than me."
"Mr. A's trying to take Zu away from us to work on the Lollipop thing."
"Fuck me," Shinso sat down at the table across from Izuku, "seriously?"
"He's not going fucking anywhere Freak, but we have to help him track down a couple of kids."
"Tacking who down?" Ojiro pulled a chair up to the table next to Shinso, he kept one eye on him. When he'd woken this morning, he'd been pretty bad, so depressed Ojiro wondered how he was going to make the concert tonight. After a while, he'd insisted on coming up to the room, he wanted to be around everyone during his crash.
"Eri for starters," Katsuki sat down next to Deku. He glanced at Ojiro, he looked really tired. He wondered what had happened last night.
"Eri lives about ten hours from here, actually she's close to tomorrow night's venue." Ojiro commented quietly.
"How the fuck do you know?" Katsuki looked at him.
"Ojiro, did you drive her home?" Izuku gasped.
"I did," he looked at everyone gaping at him, "what? We do that shit all the time. I took her and her mom home in the big limo with her stuff."
"Can you give us the address where you took her?" Izuku recovered the fastest, "the one in the system is wrong." he pushed his laptop towards him. Ojiro picked it up and scanned the profile.
"Yeah, this is the address I had too, the mom gave me another one." Pulling out his phone he scrolled through his history, "here it is, I still have it in my maps. I took her about a week ago." He shared the address with Izuku.
"I'll send this to you Sero," Izuku quickly forwarded the information. "Wow, that was fast," Izuku leaned back in his chair, "Ojiro, you saved us a bunch of time."
"Should we just go there?" Sero looked up from his phone.
"To her house?"
"Yeah, I mean my uncle can find stuff out, but if Izuku landed on her front step, do you think she would talk to him?"
"Not a bad fucking idea Soy Sauce," Katsuki nodded, "get your uncle to find out her routine, maybe if Izuku could get some time alone with her, he could get the real scoop."
"She'd talk to me Kacchan, I know it, if it's her." Izuku smiled wistfully, "we always had a special relationship.
"Well, we have a plan," Sero rubbed his hands together.
"I'm changing the name of the tour bus from Thirteen to the fucking Mystery Machine," Ojiro laughed softly.
"Fuck, yes, as long as I'm Shaggy," Kiri slapped him on the back, Ojiro turned and glared at him. "Oh," Kiri laughed, "sorry man."
"Dude, you're always fucking Shaggy," Sero punched him in the shoulder.
"What about today, what are we doing?" Pinky was leaning on the back of the couch. Everyone eyed Shinso.
"Oh, fuck, well I wanted to go to the huge arcade on the downtown drag, one of the biggest in the area," Shinso shifted in his chair glancing at Ojiro. "I'm kind of out of it, but if I go lay down it'll make it worse, I'll get more depressed." He shrugged, "I guess we could go, it's pretty close, if we could be back by three or so, I could take a nap before the show."
"Are you sure?" Sero came up and hugged Shinso, "we can go another time, tomorrow?" He kissed his cheek.
"No, we gotta head out tonight after the concert, you have to perform tomorrow night at the other arena, we're driving all night to get there." Ojiro grimaced, it was going to be another long night for him.
"Seriously?" Shinso cast a worried glance at Ojiro, he'd been up the last two nights with him, he hoped he'd be okay tonight. "You could stay and nap."
"Nah, I'm wide awake now."
"I guess we're going to the arcade." Pinky stood up, "let's go."
The lights of the arcade flashed through the large room, Izuku wound through the fairly crowded area looking for Kacchan. He'd been going head-to-head with Kiri in some game for over twenty minutes, the two trading places at the top. Izuku had finally gone off to find something he preferred but when he went back, they were gone. He saw Pinky at one of the outdoor areas and headed towards her. "Hey Pinky," he watched as she slammed a baseball into a bucket perfectly. The attendant flicked an annoyed glare at her.
"You wanna trade up?"
Pinky held up her stuffed frog and pointed to a bigger stuffed cat. "That one please!" She squealed, clapping her hands. The man traded the toys with her.
"You can go now."
"Yep, all done, that's what I wanted." She smiled at Izuku, taking the furry cat's legs and pawing at his nose. "How adorable is this?!"
"Did you play baseball or something?" Izuku petted her new cat.
"Yeah, scholarship for college, girl's baseball, I was the pitcher." She winked at Izuku throwing her arm around him, "but I also worked summers at a carnival. I know all the tricks they use to cheat at these games." She laughed guiding him down the long row of carnival games. "You want to win something, I'm your girl."
Smiling, Izuku eyed the different games, deciding on what he wanted. The day was warm, a late summer push before cooler autumn weather hit. The place had a good crowd, kids and adults playing various video and skill games. "Have you seen anyone? I lost Kiri and Kacchan, they were duking it out over some game."
"I saw Shinso and Ojiro at one of the motorcycle machines, but lost the others right when we got here."
"OH!" Izuku stopped, grabbing Pinky, he dragged her to a corner stand. "I want that," he pointed to a huge body pillow with All Might's face.
"Oh shit, darts, that's as good as yours Izuku." Pinky smiled.
"Deku!"
Turning the two saw Kiri and Katsuki making their way through the crowd towards them. They had cold slushies in their hands.
"Perfect choice Kiri!" Pinky grabbed the slushie from him, "it's hot here today."
Handing the nerd one of the slushies, Bakugou nodded to the game, "you playing?"
"No, Pinky is going to win me that pillow," Izuku pointed to the mass of All Might body pillows in a net waiting to be won.
"Oi, fuck that," Katsuki snorted, looking at the pink extra, "I can win that for you nerd."
"But she's-"
"I got this nerd," he interrupted him. Waving down the booth attendant, Katsuki bought the darts. H noticed Pinky sidling up to the counter, buying a basket of darts as well. He glared at her, "I said, I got this."
"Yep, I'm sure you do, I thought I'd still play."
"Kacchan, she was a-"
"I need to concentrate," he smiled at Deku. "Although I'm not sure I want you hugging on anything but me in bed." The nerd's face turned brilliant red.
"Kacchan," Izuku hissed at him, grabbing his arm.
"You guys, uh, getting pretty close again?" Kiri sucked on his slushie, he was pretty sure his bet was still safe.
"We are Shitty Hair, you always did want us together, you got your wish."
"Yeah, but how much together? Like, physically together, you know."
"Shut the fuck up," Katsuki rolled his eyes, "like I'm gonna fucking tell you."
"The bet Katsuki, that's still good right?" Kiri looked between him and Izuku. The blonde's ears turned bright red, he glared at him, clicking his tongue.
"What bet?" Izuku tugged on Kacchan's arm.
"Nothing nerd, just a little band thing we got going on." Lining up the dart, Katsuki tossed each one at the balloons. He popped three, the attendant handed him a plastic toy.
"You have to trade up to get the pillow," he pointed to the net.
Pinky inspected her darts, letting them balance on her finger. She handed one back, "I'd like to trade this one back in for another one," she smiled sweetly. The attendant pulled out another dart, she repeated her inspection. "This is good." Walking down the line of balloons she looked at all the balloons. Every now and then she lined up and threw, popping the balloon. She hit all five. The attendant handed her a stuffed animal.
"Oi, what the fuck was that?"
"She's-"
"Izuku," Pinky looked at him shaking her head, "if Katsuki thinks he can get to the pillow before me, let's make a little wager."
"No! No, more betting Pinky," Kiri grabbed her shoulders, "our drummer is already up to his ass in bets," he grimaced.
"I'll take the bet," Izuku smiled at Pinky.
"What bet? There's no bet Deku."
"I'll bet that Kacchan gets the pillow before you, Pinky."
"Uh, Zu" Kiri shot his friend a look, Pinky held up her hand stopping him.
"Seriously Zu? You think he can beat me?"
"I do," Izuku stated flatly. Kacchan shot him a cocky smile.
She shook her head, "love is so misguided." Izuku crossed his arms, another red blush staining his freckled cheeks. Laughing she nodded, "okay, what's the bet?"
"I don't have much," Izuku muttered, "you can ride on Thirteen if you win."
"Really!? Okay, if I lose then," she furrowed her brow. "Oh!" she smiled, "I'll be your assistant tonight, I go home tomorrow, so I'll run around and do any crappy job you tell me."
"You go home tomorrow?" The surprise was obvious in his voice, he forgot that the Babies only joined as long as they could with their real lives.
"Yeah," she glanced at Kiri, "I have work next week, I'll be back next weekend, I'm taking a train for that one, so no car." Kiri grabbed her in a big bear hug, she smiled "I'll miss you too Eijiro."
"Enough sappy shit, can I keep throwing?" Katsuki motioned to the attendant for more darts. Pushing the basket towards Pinky, Katsuki clicked his tongue, "now show me what the fuck you were doing with the darts."
Shinso sat down at the small table outside the arcade, leaning on his elbow, he watched small groups of people moving along the downtown area. There were shops and cafes lining the entire street, he heaved a sigh. He was glad he'd come, watching everyone have fun was helping his crash. He still felt a lingering depression that he knew from experience would stick with him for at least another day, he looked at the brightly lit arcade sign. Worse than the depression was seeing him. Shinso clenched his fist, chewing on the inside of his cheek. Romero had thankfully vanished from his life, but last night was a time warp, a fucking trip he did not want. At one time he'd wanted to see him, make him pay for all the shit he'd done to him, but after last night, he just wanted him gone forever. Shinso chewed harder, if it hadn't been for Ojiro and Katsuki, he tasted the bright copper of blood. Stopping he licked his new wound, fuck, he'd chewed his cheeks so badly over the years, he had fucking joker scars running on the inside of his mouth.
"I'm hungry," Ojiro sat down.
"Fuck," Shinso whirled his head startled. He was definitely more jumpy than usual, almost expecting Romero to pop up at any moment. "Sorry," he murmured.
"For what?" Ojiro peered down the street for a place to eat.
"Making you stay with me today," Shinso blushed.
"I would've whether you asked or not, I'm a driver and a bodyguard." Ojiro spotted a few cafes.
"Oh, right, a bodyguard," Shinso frowned.
"Come on," Ojiro held his hand.
"Where?" Shinso stood up following him. Ojiro pointed down the street, Shinso couldn't see anything, "what is it?"
"A place I think you need right now," smiling Ojiro maneuvered down the walkway, they stopped in front of a small shop, Cat Cafe painted on the window. A large black and white cat was meowing silently at them behind the glass. Another curled into a tight ball in the bed of a tall cat post.
"Cats!" Shinso squatted down facing the crying cat, it looked at him with yellow eyes and meowed again. He laughed, "how'd you know I liked cats?"
"I didn't," Ojiro smiled at his face, for the first time today he looked like Shinso. "I figured no one could resist a cat cafe."
"Here," Shinso grabbed his phone and pulled Ojiro into him closely, "smile!" He clicked a quick selfie of them, the black and white cat centered perfectly behind their heads.
"What was that for?"
"I'm sending it to the guys, Kiri and Pinky are cat crazy, plus I'm posting on the band's page with the other arcade pictures I took, our fans like to see what we do on tour."
"I'll be on your website?"
"Yep, why? Some rule says you can't be on our website?" Shinso peered at him closely. When he'd finally woken this morning, Ojiro had been up making breakfast, but Shinso could see the bed was still wrinkled, he'd stayed all night with him. He remembered showering with him, well dancing in the shower with him. Also watching him sleep, at some point he'd finally fallen asleep himself.
"I guess not," Ojiro shook his head.
Sucking at his lip, Shinso stared at the silently meowing cat. He'd noticed Ojiro seemed a little guarded today, he hoped he hadn't said something stupid, knowing himself he did. Shinso shrugged, "you're part of the tour officially."
"But I thought I was a lowly bus driver," Ojiro teased him.
"Yeah, you fucking are," Shinso laughed as he opened the outer door, he cast a hooded gaze at Ojiro, "but I think you got upgraded last night."
"I did," Ojiro cocked a brow, "to what?"
"My dancing shower partner now," Shinso grinned and went into the gated section of the cafe.
Ojiro followed behind smiling, he'd wondered how much Shinso remembered.
Looking down at his vibrating phone, Kiri pulled up the notification, "hey guys, check it out, Shinso and Ojiro are at a cat cafe."
"A what?!" Pinky grabbed his phone, "where?!"
"I don't know," Kiri rolled his eyes, "I lost my phone."
"Sorry," Pinky smiled sheepishly, handing it back.
"Shit, they're really close, wanna go get something to eat and play with some cats?" Kiri put his arm around Pinky's waist pulling her body snug against his own.
"Hell yes!" Pinky laughed, she hugged her stuffed cat, looking over her shoulder she cracked up, the body pillow was almost as long as Zu. Green eyes and curls peeped over the top, she called back to the others. "Zu? You guys coming?"
"I've never been to a cat cafe Kacchan," Izuku sped up to stay with Pinky and Kiri, "should we go?"
"Fucking cats?"
"Kacchan, you like cats, you always fed that stray by your house."
"Feeding one and eating my damn dinner with one is fucking different."
"Maybe they have a no cat section?" Izuku tried to steer clear of the people on the sidewalk coming straight for him.
"What the fuck? Why would a cat cafe have a no cat section? Don't you go to be with cats?" Katsuki moved to walk behind the nerd making sure he didn't knock anyone over, he could barely see over his pillow.
"But if one person likes the cats, but the other doesn't, maybe they can sit in the no cat section, then still be with their friends but not the cats."
"Fuck Deku, you make no sense," Katsuki patted his giant pillow, he still was suspicious of the nerd cuddling in bed with it and not him. "This pillow better not get in my way," he muttered as they walked down the sidewalk following Kiri.
"I'll keep it in the front of the cafe Kacchan, it won't get in your way." Izuku was grinning ear to ear, his knees bumping rhythmically into his new giant All Might pillow. Of course, Pinky was his assistant tonight, there had been no doubt in his mind Kacchan would win. He'd never seen him lose, unless he absolutely had no idea how to do something, or he didn't try. The bowling game flashed in his mind, Izuku stopped, the blonde collided into his back.
"Fuck! Don't stop like that," Katsuki grunted, he pushed him as people swerved around them.
"Kacchan, did you lose on purpose the other night?" Izuku's elation at winning at bowling sagging quickly.
"Not at the end," Katsuki kept pushing him down the sidewalk, "keep walking nerd, we're not the only ones here."
"What do you mean not at the end?" Izuku gave him a stern look.
"I might have missed a few in the beginning," Katsuki admitted. He could see him drop his chin on the pillow, his walking slowed down. "Deku," his arms came around the nerd and the pillow. "Tell me," he leaned into his ear, stepping in time perfectly behind him. "If I hadn't lost, would yesterday have happened?"
Squeezing the pillow against the wave of chills fluttering down his spine from his deep voice, Izuku tried to keep his thoughts, "but I thought I'd won," he was disappointed.
"You did win, the last game, I really tried, one more fucking frame and I would have won, but you ended up winning."
"But," Izuku slowed down as they reached the cafe, he could see Kacchan in the reflection of the window, his head bent over him. Izuku reached his hand up to lay it on his cheek, he turned so he could see into his beautiful red eyes, "that wasn't nice Kacchan."
"I'm sorry I tricked you nerd, but don't you think it was worth it?" The nerd dipped his head into his pillow and shrugged. Katsuki kissed his neck, "fuck, I did it for you. You should've seen yourself, you were so damn excited."
"I guess so, it's just not as good if you know the other person wasn't trying." Izuku took a deep breath. "It was fun though," he tilted his head. "Wait, you said you didn't want to be painted."
"I fucking didn't."
"So, you lost on purpose for something you didn't want?" Izuku's brows snapped together, "Kacchan that doesn't sound like you."
Kissing his neck again Katsuki sighed, "I know, that's the bitch of it, I tried to do something nice for you and it was still wrong." His lips ran up to his ear, "maybe I'm too far gone to do anything like that."
"You do nice stuff all the time Kacchan," Izuku shivered at the feel of his hot breath. "You don't need to try, just be yourself." Hugging his pillow he nodded, "okay, you're right Kacchan, it was worth it." He reached up and kissed his cheek.
"Shinso made a reservation for all of us, so we can go in now," Kiri came out, holding the door for them.
Walking into the cafe, Izuku checked his pillow at the front, he didn't want to scare the cats. There were only a few people sitting at tables and a couple on a sofa. The woman pointed to the tables in the back where Shinso and Ojiro were sitting on the floor together, a small black cat lounging by them, partially laying on what looked like a shirt.
Walking carefully into the cafe, they tried not to startle the cats. Pinky sat on one of the bean bags on the floor, Kiri joined her. Two cats were watching them intently.
"Where's Sero?" Izuku looked around the cafe.
"He's on his way with Yuga, the other three Babies went back to the hotel, they're meeting with another group, they said they'd see us backstage." Shinso spoke in a soft voice, his purple eyes never leaving the black cat in front of him. "Don't forget to leave them passes," Shinso glanced up for a brief moment.
"Okay, I will," Izuku smiled at the small cat as it stared at Shinso with big yellow eyes. "By the way Shinso, from now on Ojiro is with you at all times, especially at concerts, stay with him." Shinso's head popped up, he looked from Izuku to Ojiro. "I've changed his orders, he's more of a bodyguard now for you. I'll man the bus if needed, or we'll lock it up. I have keys being made so each of us can get in or out independently."
"You don't have to do all that," Shinso shrugged, tapping his fingers lightly for the cat.
"Yes, I do Shinso, your safety is everything to me, I feel terrible about what happened last night."
"It wasn't your fucking fault, nerd."
"Stop, Kacchan," Izuku put a hand on his arm, "right now I'm your manager." He looked back at Shinso, "listen to me, it was my fault. I only had one guard in the hallway, that was an oversight I'll never make again." Izuku pointed to Ojiro, "if you don't want him, then let me know and I'll hire someone else, that won't happen again on my watch Shinso." Izuku looked down, he'd been feeling bad since he learned what had happened. When he realized that he'd focused only on the crowd's security and not the band's safety, he'd filled out an entire page of his notebook with comments on safety protocols in the future.
"Thanks Midoriya," Shinso didn't look up, "I think the stupid bus driver will work for me." Shinso bit his lip hiding a smile, he saw Ojiro shift next to him.
"Okay," Izuku nodded, he felt better now that they'd talked, "thanks for booking this, I've never been to a cat cafe, do they have food?"
"Yeah, up there at the counter, go out through the gate and order there, you can bring it back in here, but no feeding the cats."
"You hungry Kacchan?"
"Yeah, I am, let's get some food," he glanced down at the two, "you guys want anything?"
"We split a sandwich," Shinso nodded to Ojiro, "we're good."
Pulling on Kacchan's hand, Izuku led them up to the counter.
Shinso turned his head watching them walk away, "I like him."
"He's a good guy, there are some managers that are better than others."
"Well, he's the only one that's ever apologized to me," Shinso watched as he stood at the counter, pointing to the menu. "Most told me it was me, my crazy way of life or my attitude, like I fucking deserved to be treated like shit."
"Midoriya would never do that."
Looking back at the cat, Shinso glanced sideways, barely able to see Ojiro behind him, "would you?"
Taking a deep breath Ojiro looked at Shinso's back, fuck, things had gone a totally different direction since two nights ago. "I wouldn't, you're a shit and you open your big mouth, but I don't care how cocky someone is, worst case just tell them to fucking shut up." Ojiro shook his head, "you don't hurt anyone over being a brat."
"Just spank them," Shinso smiled, tucking his head behind his shoulder.
Nodding his head slowly Ojiro cocked a brow, "yep, definitely a brat. I think you enjoyed that a little too much," he grimaced, "I wasn't expecting that."
"Maybe," Shinso looked back at the cat. "I lost the bet so, now you're in charge of keeping me from being a brat."
"That's a big job, but I think I'm up to it."
"Good, I hope so," Shinso whispered.
"What time do we have to get to the arena tonight?" Sero called over to Izuku, he sat cross legged next to Yuga, a feather toy in his hand playing with a younger cat, a yellow tabby.
"In four hours, we have to be there by six-thirty, you go on at eight," Izuku sat on a bean bag, a small gray tabby had come to investigate him. Sitting quietly, he'd been able to scratch the kitty under the chin, it started to purr loudly. "Hear him Kacchan?" Izuku turned to the blonde who was lying stretched out on the floor, perched on his elbows, a calico cat curled up on his stomach, they were both glaring at each other. Izuku pulled out his phone slowly and snapped a picture, he hit the video button.
"I saw that nerd," Katsuki stared at the cat that had made him a bed. He'd sat down to watch Deku when the damn cat had jumped on him and instantly curled up. It was purring so hard he could feel the vibrations in his stomach, but if he moved or tried to push it off, it sunk its claws into his skin, green eyes glaring at him. "I think this cat is you Deku," Katsuki peered closer at its eyes, the cat started to squeeze it's claws rhythmically "Fuck! He gritted his teeth, "it's definitely you Deku, little green eyes is killing me here."
"She's just making biscuits, Kacchan."
"What the fuck are biscuits? And why is it happening on my stomach?" Katsuki growled as the cat lifted its chin, sniffing the air.
"When a cat is happy or likes you sometimes, they'll knead you, it's called making biscuits."
"How long is it going to happen?" Katsuki sucked in his breath as one claw went a little deeper. "Damn cat."
"Depends on the cat," Izuku shrugged
"I can take her off for you if you want," Pinky offered, leaning backwards over her beanbag.
"Don't fucking touch her, you heard the nerd, she's happy," Katsuki clicked his tongue, watching as the cat kneaded his stomach again, he clenched his jaw.
"Okay!" Pinky laughed and went back to her own cat.
"We're maxed out on time guys," Shinso called out finally, "we only could stay forty minutes, they want to rotate new people in," he stood up carefully trying not to scare his little black cat.
"Fuck," Katsuki looked at the cat's green eyes, "have we been here that long?"
"I guess so," Izuku stood up slowly.
"I'm gonna need your help nerd," Katsuki nodded to the cat, "just like you, she's not letting go."
"I'm not that clingy Kacchan," Izuku huffed, he walked slowly to the blonde and squatted down. Reaching out his hand he stroked the cat slowly, the purring started again.
"I like clingy Deku, I'm not complaining," Katsuki smiled at him as he petted the cat. She stood and stretched, slowly sauntering off his stomach. She yawned then leapt to a cat tree, kneading a small blanket, she settled back down. Standing up they headed to the door, Deku retrieving his pillow.
"What did you think of the cafe? I liked it," Izuku glanced back at the gray tabby.
"It was definitely filled with fucking cats," Katsuki noticed the calico turning away as another person tried to pet her, he smiled. "I think I liked it too."
