DISCLAIMER: I don't own Inuyasha and probably never will but one can hope…right?

This is one of my first fics and I when back to look at it and…there are things I need to fix, so I am.

Goodnight, Goodbye.

"--I was going to do it I knew that they would be happier if wasn't there, I'm just a burden and there is no need for me anymore. My Dog-eared love he's--he's going to hell with her. My sister I never had and her husband that perverted brother I never wanted but somehow got, are together and they wouldn't want to be made to watch me, the weak one of the group.

My little fox has left with a passing tribe that was looking for him. Now he has a home. Earlier I had said that I wanted to blend in more so I didn't bring anything and they also said that was a good idea, and here I am awake at midnight. Slowly walking to the well and now that I don't have any jewel shards left I can't go back if…no, I will do this I do not want to be a burden any longer! I was standing there for a minute looking at the sight of the full moon and thought I saw a flash of sliver, my mind playing tricks on me. I took one deep breath and whispered 'Goodnight' because I know that I will see them again, someday. Then I jumped in the well for the last time, .and this is the end of my feudal fairy tale"

Kagome Higurashi-San, now 75 finished her best seller for over 50 years, looked up at her audience and seen still after all this time they a tears in there eyes with smiles on trying to cover it up. Everyone always cried at these readings, Higurashi-San always read with so much emotion.

She also put up a sad smile, the press came as always and took some pictures of the women and started to ask there's and her favourite question. "Miss. Higurashi are you ever going to tell us who the girl of the modern era is?" Kagome smiled and waved her hand "No, not just yet, but I will soon" she said and as always the reporter sighed.

The fallowing week was when her next reading would have been. Because she lives in the mountains away from people, nobody noticed when she stopped sweeping her steps. They found her in a small shrine.

Next week is her funeral… her obituary would come out then as said by her will. When it did come out it only said a few words: It was I, and Goodnight, not Goodbye.

She had given all her wealth to charities around the world and every were people were mooring the lost of the kind old women but not as much as one a sliver haired demon, crying over not being able to tell her one thing he meant to that night. He read the obituary once again and said to himself "Kagome…I love you, Good--Bye." and looked out the window his golden eyes showing more emotion then anyone who knew him would dream of seeing on him. A single crystal tear moved down his cheeks and onto the magenta strips that dawned them.
