Chapter 26: Exact Time Part 2
In the same place at the same time as the last chapter, back to the Loud House. It seems the house has been quiet ever since Lincoln leaves. Now the town knows what they did, became the most hated family now.
Each member of the family has been completely changing...
Lori, ever since the town knows...every friend of hers blocked her from their phones and social media. Her relationship with Bobby is difficult now, he keeps saying 'Is best for us to stay apart for a while, she hopes she doesn't get another with her boyfriend. She always looks at her phone in old photos even ones with Lincoln in it.
Leni feels her life crumpled, and her both work and school friends don't wanna be friends with her anymore. She lost her job, and the school always gets a glare from the students like she is a monster. She doesn't care about those things, she follows Gar's advice on following her conscience and does it to make Lincoln forgive her. She was always in her room, always small cried in her bed.
Luna was depressed, she didn't receive any gigs and not even her roadie, Chunk, was on speaking terms, and her common music friends, including Sam, didn't talk to her. She didn't pick up her guitar as the music lover didn't have the will to listen or play her tunes. All she really wanted was Lincoln back, but she starts to fall under depression.
Luan wasn't as much depressed as Luna, she was worse. Her Funny Business Inc has lost many clients and future clients after learning what her family has done, none of her school and theater club friends want to do anything with her, including her now ex-boyfriend Benny and her friend Maggie. She didn't pick up many of her props and doesn't feel like joking around, she even stopped telling jokes altogether. That's how depressed she is.
But out of the oldest, Lynn had it worse. Driven by guilt, she always blames herself after what happened. She thought it wasn't going to be a big deal, that Lincoln would come home to forgive them...but reality hits her in the gut. Lynn was kicked out of the many sports teams after being considered a sore loser when she lost. She let her pride and stubbornness lose her only brother to the Atoms, and Lynn felt that she has become the bully in the family.
Lucy was in tears, even for an emotionless girl. No one has ever seen Lucy cry this much, as she usually hid her emotions. Now, she lost all of her friends from the writing club and coffin-making club, as well as their membership. Lucy wanted Lincoln back but knows that won't happen because she ended up following Lynn's plan. As of now, she's not even on speaking terms with Lynn even though they are in the same room.
Lana felt no other little girl have been hurt, her mud friends don't wanna be with her. The animal club kicks her out, now feels what her brothers feel. Even her crush Skippy doesn't wanna fix bikes with her anymore after he knows the truth. Right now Lana only gets comforted by the pets, showing they care about her. But the care she wanted is to get Lincoln back home.
Lola thinks everything is alright with kicking Lincoln out, but things get turned upside down. Her pageant career is over, got banned by the pageant class even though she and Lana Blue Bell Scouts were over. Everyone looks at her like a monster even herself, she doesn't wanna look at her mirror cause she doesn't deserve it.
Lisa didn't do much of her scientific activities. She has become a shame in the science community for picking trips over her brother. Lisa felt disappointed in her hero Scan, but more importantly, she felt she was disappointed in her big brother. She was even declared a mad scientist in the science community, and she has let that label be true.
Lily looks sad, as she has no idea where her brother was. She would cry more and not even play with her toys. She always cries out for Lincoln's name which made the family feel uneasy. They wonder what they think of Lily's reaction to what they
Lynn Sr just became the worst father in town even his friends don't wanna talk to him after what he did. He thought of selling Lincoln's furniture to be good to get Vanzilla back together, but no...it makes worst between his son's feelings. He glade his boss from the restaurant let him keep his job, but only washing dishes from now, avoiding any contact with people. His father probably look down on him from above, very disappointed in him. Lynn Sr, remember all things he did to Lincoln all this time, he no right calls himself a father.
Rita had it worse, as not only she became the worst mother around but not even her own father would speak to her. What she did to her only son was monstrous, and she felt disappointed in herself. She would blame the Atoms for taking her son away from her, from her family, but she has no one to blame but herself. She still works at her job, but she now works sorting out files since she can't interact with the patients. She let Lincoln down, and lost him, over a dumb trip.
Right now, the sisters got up from their beds, and go to the hallway...they don't feel excited, they all feel depressed about seeing what made them sad...
A simple closet down the hall... an empty closet.
"Linky..." Leni said dropping a tear.
"I know Leni...I know." Lori said patting Leni's back.
"Come on guys let's...wait look," Luna said as she pointed at the setting
The rest of the girls sees light from Lily and Lisa's room. She goes inside and sees Lisa looking at her chalkboard. She has multiple pictures of Linkages connecting dots of Royal Woods places.
"Lisa, what are you doing this early in the morning?" Lori asked they walked on him.
"Sorry, I just discovered who is Linkage," Lisa answered rubbing her chin.
"Why you that?" Luan asked
"Don't you wanna know what's our hero really is?" Lisa said look at Linkage picture in the middle. "A kid who is a Metax like the villains, but why he and Beauty Mark is only heroes we got?"
"Well adults have a hard time in life, if you got powers that make things better for you but the rest of the people still get hurt," Luna answered
Lisa examined the pictures. "Linkage was always in elementary school, so means he just graduate to middle by now, he likes burgers from Burpin Burgers and Arcade place, always at the mall places fast time. I check the results of people whose height and weight including the age of Linkage...and got my results."
The sisters look at arrows of people they know but some have 'X' crosses over them except for one person...Lincoln.
"I believe our brother is Linkage all along," Lisa said
The girls look at Lisa, then turn to each other, as Lola spoke: "But that can't be possible, Lisa."
"Yeah, Lincoln's been with us at the same time when Linkage went saving the day," Lana adds.
"Like, literally, Lincoln's been seen with us while Linkage fought that garbage monster you created when we had that strike." Lori points out.
"Yeah, and I've seen Lincoln with Clyde and Ronnie-Anne while Linkage busts that gang." Leni states.
"And besides, dude, even if Lincoln was Linkage, he wouldn't still be talking to us after what we've all done," Luna adds sadly
"But don't guy ever think of Linkage simply help us finish our choirs after taking down my creature. Ever wonder why he's training all the time and out of the house all the time? Ever since the big Metax wave happens he suddenly change over time." Lisa said
"Yeah, he is always out of the house and not with us including our activities," Lynn replied
"He suddenly workout making do exercise, that shocked me but everyone needs to get healthy." Lucy state
"Yeah, if he was Linkage...why keep that secret from us," Lola said as she walked out. "I going to the bathroom and have breakfast."
The rest of the sisters agree as they walked out while Lisa looks at the chalkboard. 'I know I'm correct, but how am I gonna make them think it's true.'
The girls go to drive down to the therapy office of Dr. Lopez. Rita and Lynn Sr went there too as they like to go down for a session. Both parents felt guilty about not doing their part of parenting so a session with Lopez might work out for them.
"I thought we'd only have to go to Dr. Lopez once," Lana asked.
"Therapy doesn't work that way, Lana. Just because we've only been there once doesn't automatically mean our problems went away." Lisa responds.
"Lisa's right, we need to keep coming to these sessions at least every week." Luna states.
"Okay," Lana said as heard a voice.
"Thank you, Dr. Lopez."
"No problem Clyde."
The Loud Family sees Clyde get out, he sees them and gets a glare. He walked away harshly until he was grabbed by Lori by the arm.
"Clyde waits, we wondering how's Linc-" Lori said as Clyde force her to let go of him.
"Don't touch me! Not wanted talk to people who abandon my friend!" Clyde shout
Lori is shocked that Clyde rejected her like that. Normally, he would faint and nosebleed but now that he hates her more, it felt hurt.
"Clyde, we just wanted to know how's Lincoln been doing?" Rita asks him calmly.
"As any of you cared, he's been doing fine without you all giving him stress," Clyde told them as he walks to his bike, turning to them. "If I was you, I'd be careful around Ronnie Anne right now. She has it out on y'all, remember that," he said as he rides his bike, away from the Louds.
They felt a sudden chill of guilt, then felt Lucy speak to them.
"Let's just go in," Lucy responds as the family goes inside the therapy office.
Ronnie Anne pushes her punching bag, and the image of each loud family member including Lynn really gets on her nerves. Of all the stupid the family did to Lincoln, this bad luck thing really crosses the line.
"I so punch her in the face." Ronnie Anne said to herself.
Bobby walked in. "Sis, you still punching? You can get worn out from it."
Ronnie Anne looks at Bobby. "I'm surprised you didn't break up with that girl yet!"
Bobby scratches his head. "Uhhh..."
"Come on Bobby, she likely kick her own brother to the streets and likely-" Ronnie Anne said
"I know I know, it's just that Lori and I have been together since high school. I just wanna take an easy on her like texting."
"Ugh! Maybe you don't realize she's not your type!" Ronnie Anne shouts as hits the bag again, this time the bag hits her shelf and one picture falls down. "Oh no, not that picture!"
"What picture?" Bobby asked looking as gets irritated. "Oh...him, I thought you give rid of it."
Ronnie Anne grabbed the picture revealing to be her mother, younger self, and Bobby including their father. "Bobby, look I know-".
"Know what? That he leave us like some kind a liar!" Bobby said as crossed his arms and turn away.
"He didn't leave us, Bobby!" Ronnie shout angrily.
"He disappeared on us! He never responds to our calls, it's no wonder he and mom split!" Bobby argues.
"Oh, and how is that different when Lori and her family locked out on Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne shouts back.
"Least didn't show any emotions! I saw the frown on his face, I had no choice become a big man in the house. Getting multiple jobs to keep us stay in the house since I was ten Nie-Nie, you need to understand that he's not a good man he is." Bobby said about to leave.
"He didn't leave us...he tells me stories about mom and him being together ever since they love each other.' Ronnie Anne thought as she frown as knew a lesson from her father. "Nothing more than family and Louds did something that cross the line."
"He the one who leaves, not me!" Bobby said as he leave.
Unaware of them, Maria heard them getting concerned about this. Both of them get into intense arguing, maybe time for a change.
'I hope it is good.' Maria thought as she gets a call.
Lori's Session
"So what has been going on between you and Bobby, Lori?"
Lori looks down when Dr. Lopez asked her, "Well, he hasn't texted me for weeks now since the incident with Lincoln. I hope he doesn't break me up over this, he's like my soulmate. We're inseparable."
"And what if he decided to break up with you?" Dr. Lopez asked her.
"I don't what to do without my Boo Boo Bear!" Lori cries as tears begin to run down.
"Okay Lori let me talk about this, you can't let your relationship with Bobby take hold of you. You be eighteen and be in college soon, you can't just be in tears of some breakup. Think about what you're life gonna be like, take your time dating and having fun. Enjoy life ahead and you will find someone in your life, understand?"
"Honestly, my friend say that to me," Lori said wiping off her tears.
"Really, what happened?" Dr. Lopez asked.
Lori looks hesitant, she didn't know how to answer.
Day since the Louds lost custody of Lincoln.
Lori is seen driving to the new van by herself. She was at Flippy's to order a drink. Unfortunately Flippy gave her some news.
"What do you mean I'm banned?!" Lori shouts.
"You and your sisters and folks are under the no-service list, Loud. Do you know how bad business is if I'm seen with you?" Flippy said as he points at the sign.
"But you're the only store that actually allows us to come. The other places banned us before the incident!" Lori points out "And why do you care? You're a shady store owner who keeps his socks in the nacho maker."
"Hey, sometimes I have morals. So as a legitimate businessman I say you're not allowed here." Flippy states as he sits down and reads his magazine. "That brother of yours is actually a really good and smart kid, you know. Reminds me of me when I got out of my mother's will, that cheap old hag."
Lori grumbled as she walked. "Cheapskate bastard."
Lori bump into someone as both make eye contact...it's Carol Pingrey who is surprised to see Lori.
"Carol...I thought you left Royal Woods since summer." Lori said feeling uneasy.
"The plane was canceled so we stay here," Carol said turning away. "And yes, I heard what you're family has done."
Lori felt a pang of hurt by Carol's tone "Carol-"
"Lori, I thought you were better than this," Carol said with a disappointed tone. "How can you let your brother leaves away like that? How can you do that to Lincoln?"
"Well, it just-" Lori said Carol interrupt her.
"Didn't know was thinking, just wanna relaxing week at a hotel that is for free?" Carol said crossing her arms.
Lori shunned her head. "Everybody heard about it."
"Yes just be clear I met Lincoln and he is fine in fact he doing great as finally finding his talent," Carol said making Lori look at her.
"Lincoln got his talent?" Lori asked speechlessly.
"Yes and this is his work." Carol pulls out her bag and shows it to Lori.
Lori looks at the sketch and it amazes her. There was a sketch of Carol but in a Black Widow outfit.
"This...this is what Lincoln drew?" Lori asked, "But why a superhero?"
"He'll draw anyone as a superhero if they wish." Carol replied "I wonder how he'll feel if his own sisters and family are proud of him. He's a good artist."
Lori looks down, he's always been a comic book fan long time. Now he's drawing superheroes from scratch makes her happy, wish he does it sooner. "I hope one day he forgives him. I wonder why he chooses you a Black Widow?"
"Well, I do take defense class." Carol giggled as look at her. "You can asked Lincoln to draw you as a superhero too you know."
"I...I guess if he could talk to me." Lori said looking down "I don't think he cared about us anymore."
Carol looks at Lori's sad look. She sighs as she tells her "Lori, all I'm gonna say is that Lincoln doesn't hate you or everyone else in your family. He's just disappointed and hurt."
Leni's Session
"So Leni, you've mentioned that you can't make your own decisions and follow whatever your sisters do?"
"It's something someone has said to me about being a bad habit." Leni said "I mean, I do tend to listen and go along with their plans. Lori and Lola are practically the bossiest out of all of us. I know that I'm not the smartest girl in the block, but I'm capable of making my own decisions...most of the time."
"So why do you change suddenly change your mind about making your own choices?"
Leni blushes as she smiled. "A very great friend of mine meet me in the pizza place, and he tells me about I have my own cricket conscious that I have feelings about doing right and wrong. I really glad he's forgiven me, he's totes the best guy ever."
At the park, the day after Leni met Gar
Leni has a little communicator in her hand. It was given by Garfield who entrusted her with it anytime she wants to talk to him or a "bottom" call.
'Why is this so hard?' Leni thought while sitting on the bench, 'I want to talk to him, but what if he's busy with his hero work? I don't want to be a bother.'
Leni held up her breath as she tap the communicator beeping, until a hologram of Gar as he seems to be wearing a workout uniform.
"Hi Leni, just finish working out...taking a break...you called?"
Leni looks down. "Yes, I'm trying to think of a way to apologize to Lincoln. But all my ideas are for fashion and jewelry. I just don't know what to do, you are a great friend to Lincoln, got anything to help?"
Gar scratches his head until he snaps his fingers. "I got the idea, you say fashion right...can you tell me what's wrong with this?"
Gar shows her a big hologram of a strange suit, and Leni shakes her head. She's pointed to the parts of the suit as removing it.
"Nonono, I see many patterns of parts just so heavy even weapons...needs more light to get things to move quicker," Leni said as she finish.
"Maybe got good eyes, Leni," Gar said
"Yeah, thanks Gar," Leni replied happily.
"No probs...Leni, since you too graduate next year...maybe you should work in Logan's Lab as a fashion designer." Gar said with a smiled
"Really?" Leni asked in surprise., "Y-you'd give me a job?"
"I believe in second chances, Leni." Garfield tells her "Also, you should wait for a while until Lincoln feels like hanging out with you."
"You think I should?" Leni asked him "You mean, he hasn't gotten over being mad at us yet?"
"Leni, Lincoln wouldn't hold a grudge against you guys. He's disappointed, but it takes time to get to terms with you all. Give him some time, he'll forgive you all once he sees how you guys really cared for him."
Leni nodded in understanding, she felt that she needed to hear this. 'Of course, Linky wouldn't forgive us straight away if we just apologized to him. I have to prove that he can still trust us, hopefully, the sisters will understand the same thing.'
Luna's Session
"So I had this crush on this girl, who's a bit older than me. I'm going to admit it, I shamefully like her because of her looks." Luna admits.
"Her looks? She must've been a goddess to you."
"She is! Such an angular face, and wide hips, look good in a bikini, I never knew smart women are hot. On the list next to McSwagger and Sam."
"I don't think I've ever heard of Sam before."
"Oh, she's a mate from my music group," Luna admits but then blushed.
"So you have two crushes on different girls, Luna?"
Luna tries to get reasons but no, she has to come clean. "Yes, I have a crush on two girls...guess I'm a little weird about that type of solution."
"No Luna, some people are like that of liking different people. Have you ever tried to talk to her?"
"Well I met Sarah again and things get awkward-" Luna said as told her story.
Flashback...
Luna seems to be alone outside of a music shop, looking at her music note, completely empty...she doesn't know what to put in her mind.
"Just think about your music girl," Luna said to herself.
"Just a few more laps."
Luna turns to shocked Sarah who wearing a blue sports bra, black jersey short shorts, and black sneakers. She seems jogging down the street.
'Oh god.' Luna thought as she sees a view of Sarah's rear while jogging. 'I bet they clap...get it together, girl!' she thought with a blush.
"Give the money back, you pain!"
"The Moon Spector refused!"
Luna loses her train of thought when she saw Linkage chasing down the villain Moon Spector, the jester ghost-like villain who's more of a c-list villain. She saw the Spector fly down and grabs Sarah over his shoulder while facing Linkage.
"You again!?" Sarah shouts, struggling for him to let go of her.
"Let her go-" Linkage shouts and sees a flash of light appear as blinded him. "Argh! My eyes!"
"Now I got take the money and Sarah Atoms to my place for my name is-" Moon Spector said as got grabbed by the leg. "Let go of me, little girl!"
"No! You let go of her now!" Luna shouts angrily.
"Luna?" Sarah's question see Luna trying to save her.
Linkage recovers his sight, he charges at Moon Spector and tackled him making the villain drop the loot and Sarah. But Luna dropped to the ground as Sarah landed right on her stomach with Luna's head between her thighs.
"Thanks for the-Ouch!" Sarah said in deep blush. "Did you just bite my thigh?"
"I-it was an accident!" Luna replied blushing back. When Sarah gets up, Luna can feel the soft thighs brushing across her face as she stands up. Sarah offers Luna her hand as Luna grabs it, being pulled up.
"Well, if it weren't for you, that creep could've taken me away so thanks for the save, Luna." Sarah thanked while in the background Linkage knocks Spector out and handcuffs him.
"N-no problem," Luna replied nervously, as she blushes red.
"Why you here in the street?" Sarah question
"I was in the music shop, I sit on the sidewalk to think of a music to apologize for Lil bro," Luna said looking at the paper. "Well, I'm in a tough block."
Sarah sees Linkage flying away with Spector, and she turns back to Luna. "Trying to make music of your style and Lincoln be together. I happy of you make plans to apologize to your brother."
"Thanks..." Luna replied to see Sarah about to walk off. "Sarah, can I ask you a question."
"Lincoln is fine-" Sarah said as Luna interrupted her.
"Not that, I know he safe with you. It's just...just..." Luna said looking at Sarah. "What are you thinking of me?!"
Sarah's confused look at her. "Well, you are a nice girl Luna, even trying to do forgive your brother like Leni. Why you asked?"
Luna blushes deeply trying to speak. "Well...it's just...I...kinda...like you."
Sarah looks surprised, that Luna would confess to her out of the blue. "Um...that's great and all, Luna...but I'm taken."
Luna looks heartbroken, as she looks down, "I...see. Then I'm happy-"
"But, he might consider sharing. The truth is, I'm part of his harem, or an open relationship, really." Sarah states as Luna looks shocked as she looks petrified.
"EEEEEEEHHH!?"
Luan's Session
"Sometimes people think that I'm just the jokester in the family, and all I can do is tell jokes." Luan states while playing around with a Rubix cube from the coffee table, "Sure, I can go all out on April Fools Day, and my pranks can be a bit hazardous, but no one got hurt. At least, not mentally."
"Luan, I know you a girl wanted people to laugh. But people just need to be at the right moment to get the joke. Your brother takes a whole risk to go your traps, to save his friend. Luan, your going to be a comedian, doesn't mean to take things seriously. Tried to take an easy, simple safe for everyone you know."
"I guess I can go overboard with my pranks, but yeah I think I'll tone it down," Luan replied as she looks down on herself, "I guess that can be one of the reasons why Lincoln won't like me as much."
"What makes you think that?"
"Well, he's always the victim of my pranks most of the time. Most of them are downright humiliating for him. I should laugh with him, not at his expense." Luan commented.
Hours after Cobra Bubble's visit.
Luan walks down the hall, looking even more depressed since learning that Lincoln's taken out of the family's household thanks to child service. She hears sniffled noises which are coming from...the room.
Luan peaked in, and finds a crying Luna, crying on Lincoln's bed. Luan came in, "Luna...?"
"G-Go away, Luan," Luna told her young sister and roommate while crying onto Lincoln's pillow.
"Luna, you have to get out of his room. The people will come by to pick up his things soon-"
"BUT IT NEEDS TO BE THERE WHEN HE COMES BACK!" Luna snaps at Luan, showing the tears running from her eyes.
Luan looks like she's about to cry but she didn't. "Luna, don't make me do this to get you out of there."
"Try it," Luna dares while hugging Lincoln's pillow. Luan looks down as she enters the room, and sits on the bed next to Luna.
"In some cases, there are times to have jokes, but not at this moment." Luan said as she sniffs while in tears, "I'll miss him too, Luna. You've really cared about him more than any of us could...more than I could've, and it makes me jealous."
Luna looked confused at her. "W-Why you jealous?"
"Because you are the only one Lincoln goes to if he got problems or he upset. I will usually be the sister who always makes him laugh, play with him when we get to the park, and even he do Peekapoo to me to make me smile. And now we are older, I just prank him a lot and used him doing Comdey Business. You never change for Lincoln, he even makes you his Guardian, that title shows that he loved you the most."
Luna look down and spoke. "I sorry to hear that Luan, but I not worthy calling me that after we did to our brother. I wish we should take it back in deep in my heart."
"I know, but we gonna see him time to time if he feels little better. I promise he gonna loved us again." Luan said touching Luna's shoulder. "Now, let's move before we get in trouble."
"Good, wait?" Luna said as she look around. "Where's Bun Bun?"
Both of them panicked seeing no sight of Lincoln's favorite stuffed toy. When both girls hearing giggled, they see Lily in the hallway hugging Bun Bun.
The two look at each other while smiling at the sight. But then realized one thing, Lily may learn what the family did to Lincoln and wonder how she'll react.
Lynn's Session
Lynn looks down on herself ridden with guilt. Dr. Lopez then asks the question.
"So Lynn, how are you feeling since the last session?" Dr. Lopez asked.
Lynn looks at her own fists, which were covered in bandage wraps. "Honestly, Dr. Lopez...I don't think I'm feeling all that good about myself...I feel like a monster."
"Look I know you feeling guilt about-"
"I DO DR. LOPEZ!" Lynn cries covering herself. "No matter what, I always bully my brother! Make fun of him, roughhousing him, above all leaving him for my dame pride! Thanks to me, and us, the whole town hates us, the family is depressed, and the worst is Lincoln move out of the household thanks to Child Service."
"So you keep punching, make your knuckles bleed, think you deserved it? What does your brother think of you going like that?"
"I wouldn't be surprised if he hates me and thinks I deserve it." Lynn told her, tears running from her eyes, "Out of all of us, it's me that deserves to be the most hated."
A week after Child Service.
Lynn has been confronted with the worst news she's been given by her coach.
"I'm...kicked out?" Lynn asked in shock.
In the living room, Lynn is called by her coach her heart drops at what happened...she kicks out of any team that she sign up for.
"Yes, Lynn." The coach said disappointed. "The Sports Community having some checks in your sports records to see some bad attitude, roughhousing on the members of the teams, even letting your pride gets the whole of you."
"But...but you can't do this, coach!" Lynn cries out in tears, she shouts angrily "You know that I'm very good at sports! Without me, the teams-"
"Look, Lynn. I'm as shocked as you are but the Sports Community made their final statement. They have blacklisted you from playing any sports you have played, even golf and no one has ever seen you played it before." the coach made a cough as he continues "So, I'm sorry, Lynn. I hope you have considered other careers, there are other ways you can be involved with sports, why you might grow to become a coach or a referee, you just can't play the sports."
Lynn looks very distraught as she drops the phone. She ran outside to the backyard and punches the tree.
"This is my fault!" Lynn cries out as she keeps punching the tree. She didn't care about her bleeding knuckles or the splinters she receives, "Me and my dang attitude cost me, my brother!" she punches and kept punching until she stops and starts to break down. Tears poured out of her eyes as she cries. "I-I-I'm sorry, Lincoln! I'm really, really sorry!" she cries as she gets into a fetal position, alone.
Lucy's Session
"A lot of people think I'm so gloomy and depressed just because I don't smile a lot, or show any emotions." Lucy told Dr. Lopez, looking down on herself "I've really looked up to Lincoln, he was the brother that accepts me for who I am and he'll agree to help me with a lot of things like my poetry."
"You ever remember what he truly helps with something that makes you happy?" Dr. Lopez asked
Lucy rubbed her knees and speak. "The time I clogged the toilet with my princess pony book, my brother help me and we don't get the trouble. Heck, I even know he can take the fall for me cause I'm his little sister. Even time he wanted to take me and my best friend Haiku to the theater and even changes his appearance to be a goth to not let other people think we were not worthy. He even sacrifices for us to escape from a Metax, I never know I am just a wonderful brother."
"So after you heard the news..."
Lucy only let out a tear. "My world falls apart."
After a week of Child Service.
Lucy is seen walking home with Haiku, who is the only friend who wouldn't leave Lucy.
"Thanks for walking me home, Haiku. I never thought you'd hang out with me." Lucy said.
"Even though what you and your family did was wrong, I think Lincoln wouldn't hold it against you," Haiku replied to her friend.
"I know you are a great friend ever," Lucy said with a smile. "Wanna watch the vampire movie with me?"
"Sorry, but I can't...need to go home to write my personal poetry," Haiku replied walking off. "Later."
Lucy walked into the house, and see other sisters ganging in the living room holding a large size poster.
"What's going on?" Lucy asked
"Would mind if I find this beyond your creepy poster?!" Lynn's question shows her Princess Pony poster.
Lucy looks paler than she was before, "H-How did you find that?"
"I kicked a ball which ricochets around until it hits your poster. When I was gonna fix it up, I noticed this underneath your vampire poster." Lynn told her.
"Plus we found this hidden in a door under your bed." Lana holds up the Princess Pony book.
Lucy looks paler and embarrassed, as she looks down and says "Go ahead. Make fun of me all you want. I don't care, I thought Lincoln only knew about it but you can all laugh."
"Wait, Lincoln knew and didn't tell?" Lori asked in surprise.
"He knows what it's like to be laughed at for something embarrassing like his Ace Savvy costume." Lucy told them, "So go ahead, I don't really care if I'm humiliated."
The other sisters look at each other, as they all realize that Lincoln has kept this secret for Lucy's sake. "I don't think we will," Luna said.
"Really?" Lucy asked, surprised.
"Lucy, we're all shocked that you'd be into this since we all know you're a goth who likes the darkness and stuff," Lola said.
"But I don't think this is the right mood to make fun of you for it if Lincoln was willing to protect you from...this." Luan states.
All that just makes the goth tear up and drop to her knees as begins to cry out. This resulted in the sister going to her, and she hugged her much-needed comfort.
"I missed him guys, it's just not fair!" Lucy shout trying to wipe off the tears.
"Me too sis, I wanna take back all those things we say to him," Luna said
"And to make things better for him," Leni said while tearing up.
The girls all hug Lucy out in comfort as they all miss Lincoln.
Lola's Session
"Many awards I made for being the most princess, doing multiple tasks to be in the first place. All thanks to my brother Lincoln, who was always there for my needs. But I don't realize that I will be so selfish about my needs instead my brother's needs." Lola said feeling uneasy.
"So...you wanted to become a princess to be glory?" Dr. Lopez asked
Lola looks down, "I'm very competitive, Dr. Lopez. I have to keep up with my looks so that I can be popular so that I don't feel...so little about myself."
"Well, there's nothing wrong in being an overachiever, Lola. But sometimes it can affect you in a negative way."
"Yeah, negative," Lola replied thinking back to a time when she was at her lowest.
Two days after Child Service
Being blacklisted from pageants has to be the hardest thing for Lola, but not as much as losing her big brother. She's at the milkshake parlor where she has drunk 12 sugar-frosted milkshakes and the sugar kicks in on her. The server looks pretty disturbed so he contacted Lola's contact to pick her up.
"Loud, this is your 12th milkshake. You had enough." the milkshake server told her.
"I'LL TELL YA WHEN I HAD ENOUGH!" Lola cries out as she places another 10 dollars "3 more milkshakes! Those bozos at the pageant committee made a -burp- big mistake in kicking me ooout!" she shouts while under a sugar rush.
Lori came into the parlor, and find Lola there. "Lola, there you are! You have mom and dad worried sick!"
"Your sister has been drinking 12 milkshakes and she's crashing on the sugar." the server told her deadpan.
Lori was shocked about this. "Lola, mom, and dad say no over 3 milkshakes or you can get-"
Lola jumped on Lori as grabbed her tank top, place her feet on her stomach, and puts on her face near Lori's, having a full energy sugar rush. "I CAN HAVE ALL THE SHAKE I WANT, MY LIFE IS RUINED! THOSE COMMITTEES KICK ME OUT OF ALL PAGEANTS LORI, I WANTED MORE SHAKE UNTIL I FULL BETTER!"
Lola keep jumping around in full hype, running around while Lori tried to grab her, but Lola get out of the place.
Lori sees a car come by. "Lola no!"
*swooshed*
Lola closes her eyes until they open again to see her floating in midair, she looks up to see Linkage holding her on the back of her collar who has a deadpan.
"I heard a certain mother of a child tell me that you push her daughter out of her chair and go crazy when you 5 milkshakes." Linkage said
Lori nervously speaks. "Sorry Linkage, my sister Lola Loud is overflowing with sugar-rush."
Linkage low down places Lola on the ground. "I see that."
Lola looks at Linkage. "Please Linkage, I wanted you to help me make that worker make me more milkshake."
Linkage look at her. "And why? You wanted to be a princess, a true princess doesn't want something, they give."
Lola confused. "W-Why?"
"Listen here Lola Loud, a true princess has to be nice, pleasant, and treat people right...believe in things are right and wrong. You see those princess movies, they have those things but have a unique way to show themselves. You have none of those things cause you are being spoiled, if wanted to become a true princess...you need to know about self-sacrifice." Linkage said as he take off to the sky.
'Self-sacrifice?' Lola thought as she has those words sink in while Lori carries her to the car.
Lana's Session
"Unlike my twin Lola, I'd prefer the finer things in life. Like fixing sinks and toilets, trash surfing, mud playing, and collecting all the animals I can find and take care of." Lana told Dr. Lopez "I always feel appreciated by Lincoln who doesn't mind me being like this. We even saved some frogs from being dissected in his class."
"So your first act to steal the frogs, shouldn't like you just report to the principal or have a confection to them dissected is wrong?" Dr. Lopez asked
Lana frown at this. "It's because...no one ever takes a child like me seriously comes of problems. Like adults don't listen to kids because they are so young about real problems, no offense doc." Lana said as held her hands.
"It's okay, people don't listen to reason for young ones all time even time I was a kid. Now for Lincoln, do you ever remember what people of him?" Dr. Lopez asked
Lana only frowns, she takes off her hat and sees it. "Yeah, honestly...A certain guy helps me."
A week later after Child Service...
Lana walks through the park alone since the family feels truly broken, she with her frog Hops, is the park's only way to feel good. But after what she heard, all this makes her tear up and makes Hop croak.
"I don't know what to do Hops," Lana said rubbing her eyes. "I don't what to do."
"Well, looks we have here."
Lana sees a certain bully of Lincoln other than Chandler and his goons walk towards her with smirks on their faces.
"What do you want?" Lana asked, knowing they were up to no good.
"I and my boys spotted one of you Louds and after what we've heard, we think teaching you a lesson would help," Chandler said with a grin.
"Ha! Looks like your big brother won't be protecting ya for now!" one of his goons laughs as they all gang up on Lana.
"Let's take her frog!" another suggests.
"You leave Hops alone, you meanies!" Lana said as she held Hops for protection, as Chandler pushed her down on the mud.
"You're alone now and no one's caring enough to help you!" Chandler shouts as he raises his fist in the air, ready to hit her. However, his wrist is grabbed by someone as Chandler's goons gasp. Chandler turn to see it was Linkage who grabbed him "You!"
"Leave her alone, or else you'd like a talk to park security." Linkage said as he glares at Chandler as he lets him go and get in front of Lana "Are you alright, kid?"
"Y-yeah," Lana sniffs "They were ganging up on me while I was minding my own business."
"Oh come on!" Chandler yelled "Why are you defending them? Everyone in town knows what they did and-"
"Haven't they suffered enough?" Linkage told him as he glares at Chandler "As for you, young man. I don't tolerate bullies who pick on helpless children that are younger than you. If I catch you pulling this or even hear about it, I can see juvie will be ready for you and your goons. Got it?"
"Y-yes, Linkage, we won't do it again!" the fat goon said as he ran.
"Yeah, biggest fan, bro!" another respond as he ran too.
Chandler, who glared at Linkage who glare him back, simply walked away from him. Linkage turned to Lana, walked to her, and goes down to her level.
"So kid, how's you and your family been doing since the accident?" Linkage asked
"Worst, really worst Linkage..." Lana said getting tear up. "Everywhere we go is only glared at people we know, our friends hated us, and even my brother doesn't bother to talk to us."
Linkage frown at this, never knowing this level of hate is at his family. He's not mad at them anymore, only disappointed at them, then worried for them sometimes. "What's your name girl?"
"L-Lana Loud." Lana introduce
"Look, I met your brother and say he's fine. In a few days, he is not mad at you or your family, just disappointed. If you really wanted your brother's trust again, you need to improve yourself. You think this town likes me for what doing, some people hated me until I improves myself in months. Now everyone trusted me for what I do in this town, you wanted to improve yourself for your brother?"
Lana smiled as tightened her hands. "Yes, I'd wanted to improve myself for my brother."
Linkage flew down. "That's great...wanna me walked you home, I can tell those bullies will be back."
Lana and Hops nodded, "Thank you, Linkage." she said as Linkage lowers to the ground, as he helps walk Lana home.
Chandler glares behind Linkage, as he grips his fists 'Someone's gotta take you down a peg, Linkage. I'll see that you lose, hard.'
Lisa's Session
"You're the smartest of the family, are you, Lisa?"
"Affirmative, Dr. Lopez." Lisa confirmed, adjusting her glasses, "I have an IQ of 200, and teach from home for a university class. I've always found everything on scientific facts." Lisa then looks down on herself in guilt, But I have overlooked and led myself to believe an unorthodox case of "vocation" would drive my brother away from us."
"And how does this make you feel?" Dr. Lopez asked her.
"I feel ashamed, Dr. Lopez," Lisa replied, "I'm supposed to be a scientist, but the thing is I don't take risks due to safety precautions and I actually lead myself to believe my brother is hazardous. How can I let myself believe in such tomfoolery?"
"It is called admission Lisa, people can tell what is wrong and right in their own show of mind. You may be a genius, but still, you are a five-year-old girl who needs to see the bigger picture." Dr. Lopez said
"My admission, guess my answer of abandoned my only brother. Even my hero the great mind there is Scan Atoms as the conversation to me." Lisa replied
It was at the grocery store, where Scan is shown out of the store.
"Hmm, nothing like some good old skim milk." Scan said as he noticed a flying projectile. He saw a drone with a computer screen showing Lisa Loud. "Oh, good evening Elizabeth Loud."
"Salutations, Dr. Atoms." Lisa replied from the screen, "As you know, I am communicating from one of my drones and was wondering how my brother's unit is adjusting to your temporal stay?"
"Your brother is just fine, you don't have to call him a unit." Scan told her, "And what do you mean by 'temporal stay?'"
"Why my brother, Lincoln, will soon be back home with us in hopes that he'll come back to us," Lisa replied.
"Lisa, Child Service has made it clear that Lincoln won't be living with your family anymore." Scan respond.
"I know that, but I'm sure that Lincoln will come to us," Lisa said, as Scan can tell that Lisa's in denial.
"Lisa, you are in denial." Scan states
"W-What sir?" Lisa asked
"You may be a genius, but still a little girl. You don't need to be strict all over time, you need to know..." Scan said in a serious yet soft tone. "Your brother not coming back to the Louds."
Lisa looks down, and she replied "But why wouldn't he come back to us? If we apologize to him-"
"An apology isn't enough to have him forgive you instantly, I'm afraid." Scan told her, "I know you and your family miss him, but you have to give Lincoln time to forgive you all."
"But it's not fair!" Lisa burst out, making the camera shake "He's my big brother, why can't you let us see him?"
"Because it's not up to me, Lincoln has to choose if he wants to see you all again." Scan told her as he asks "May I ask you a question, Lisa?"
Lisa sniffs "Y-Yes, sir?"
"As a young scientist like yourself, do you think it's okay to care about your work over your family and friends?" Scan asks her, "I do care about my work, but they're not as important as my daughter. I've made sure that I take care of Lincoln like how I've raised my Sarah. Science doesn't come from the brain, but it comes from the heart. The best scientists are the ones that have their emotions remain. The scientists that don't have those emotions and have no care for family and lack of morality, are known as mad scientists."
Lisa stumbled, she looks at her hands, and realized Scan was right. She keeps using her own siblings as guinea pigs and risks her own family's safety due to her chemical explosives all the time. She can help Lincoln stop this bad luck sooner, but she cares about her work instead.
"Your right...I...nothing unfeeling mad scientist!" Lisa shouted and begin to cry out. "I have been nothing to Lincoln, why don't help him...I'm so stupid...please Lincoln, you have to forgive me...I JUST CAN'T THINK STRIGHT WITHOUT YOU...please...forgive me."
"Lisa," Scan said calmly, "Lisa you're not a mad scientist, you're just misguided."
Lisa sniffled, "But all I've done is use my own siblings as guinea pigs, harvesting their organs, studying their waste, making hazardous explosions, and turning one of them blue!"
"You're very misguided..." Scan reinstated, shocked by the confession, "But do you still care about the well-being of your family, right?"
"That is...correct," Lisa states wiping her nose.
"Then why not do less of the stuff you've mentioned and try not to make your work less dangerous." Scan advised her, "You're young, Lisa, you just need to think morally and stay grounded. Plus, you should get out more, you should experience having a very lively childhood rather than cooped up in your room."
Lisa nodded in agreement. "Yes sir, I tried to be a normal girl sometimes. Even made a new friend named Darcy, I don't know what to do?"
"Advice you about what everyone knows; be yourself." Scan said
"Yes sir, please if you see Lincoln...tell him I'm sorry and wanted to make it up to him someday," Lisa replied
"Yes, now I need to finish shopping...goodbye." Scan said as see Lisa shut down her droid and flew away. "That girl needs to get a new hoppy."
Lynn Sr's session
Lynn Sr. looks down while twirling his thumbs, as Dr. Lopez begins to ask him one question.
"So Lynn Sr, do you...favor your children?"
Lynn Sr looks at her. "Nononono doc, why do you think like that?"
"Judging the report of your relationship with your son is edgy, more like giving him a lot of responsibility. A child of the middle of the family getting his siblings out of the house to get to school while parents are at work, demanding of son's following your orders. Going to a convention center to get him that cause of clogging the toilet. Force your son to do some work without pay, even a moment going to activities that he is too tired to go. A certain side with your daughters instead you're the son of a certain accident." Dr. Lopez listed with a little sharp glare.
Lynn Sr looks down. "Look, Dr. Lopez, I know my son has a great mind for getting a job done. But he keeps lacking video games and reading comics, so I thought a little tough love on him like my father does when I do nothing. I wanna Lincoln having a good experience working until one day he is a nice employee that works hard on the job. I just thought Lincoln knows his way to survive outside of the house."
"While that is reasonable to give your son some experience in the workforce, don't you think it's a bit too much responsibility for an 11-year-old to do? Simple things like chores are fine but don't you think having him work at that age is really good for him? It'll lead to a negative impact on a child's life. And I know that you did it because your father did the same to you, but you don't have to raise your son the same way your father taught. But Lincoln's not like you, and most parents wouldn't use their previous parent's skills on their own kids."
"Y-You think that would put a negative impact on Lincoln?" Lynn Sr asked her.
"I know so, I've seen it happen to most kids and teens." Dr. Lopez told him, "Parents adopting their own parents' methods to teach their kids leads to so much package in their kids' emotions. In these times spanking children is considered socially look down upon as most of those kinds of methods are considered child abuse. Don't you have the oldest of your children be in charge?"
"Well, Lori is always on her phone with her boyfriend Bobby. She's only in charge when I and Rita had to leave out of the house so she watches the kids over." Lynn Sr states.
"What about giving Lincoln an unpaid job while at that country club? Do you think it's fair to make him work while your daughters are out having fun? Have you ever considered his feelings before yours and your daughters?"
Lynn Sr let out a tear. "Why...I thought doing good being rise my son, but no...I just let him think of me treating like some servant with love...Why do I act such a big idiot to him?!"
"If you really wanted your son's trust back, you need to change your relationship with your son again or he just turns you away like a complete stranger. Understand?"
Lynn Sr looks down as he replied: "I understood, my son, needs a father, not a boss."
A week after Child Service.
Lynn Sr is seen wrapping his daughter, Lynn Jr's knuckles after taking all the splinters out when she punched that tree.
"I don't know what has gotten you to do something like that, sweetie," he asked his daughter while wrapping her knuckles.
"I deserve it," Lynn respond with a raspy voice after crying.
"Look, honey-"
"Dad," Lynn spoke to him "Why do you treat Lincoln so differently than how you treat us?"
Lynn Sr looks confused. "What do you mean?"
"I mean why treat Lincoln way differently than us, like time clogged the toilet you got so mad at Lincoln that you went to the convention center just to get grounded. You even shout at Lincoln when he just wanna have fun. Doing work while we having fun at your summer job without getting the cash. Why do you treat him more responsibly than Lori?"
"Uh well, dear," Lynn Sr stammers, "My dad used to treat me the same way when I was Lincoln's age."
"But you never treat us the same way when we're slacking off." Lynn states as her dad finishes wrapping.
"My father wanted all boys to act their age and give the girls relaxing times Lynn, that's why I cook for the family and be the chef in life," Lynn Sr answered
"Dad, I been thinking, and no offense. But you need to think about your action on Lincoln, not be mean but having Lincoln all the work really gets him to go crazy sometimes."
"You really think so?" Lynn Sr asks, surprised that her daughter he named after him spoke wisely.
"Well, yeah." Lynn replied, "And another thing, what were you and mom thinking of a good idea of leaving without Lincoln?!"
"I...I don't know," Lynn Sr spoke feeling nervous.
"You two could've taught us that it is important for us to wait for one member, could've stopped me from bullying him and calling Stinkcoln all the time. If only I..." Lynn sniffs as she was in tears, as Lynn Sr tries to hug her but she shoves him away. "Don't hug me!" she cries out as she ran out to her room.
Lynn Sr felt more guilty than ever. He looks at himself in the mirror, he's done no better than his father did to him. "Good lord, what have I done?"
Rita's Session
Rita looks at the floor while sitting on the chair, while Dr. Lopez begins to speak.
"Rita, do you force your son to do something?" Dr. Lopez question
"I don't know, why did you ask me that?" Rita asked looking at her.
"It seems some of your actions and your daughters cause your son little called strain. Like you force your son to play flag football without even he's not wanted to, a little angry at him for little grocery shopping with your son do the work while you're daughters cause major problems throughout the store." Dr. Lopez explain
"I just wanted him to do some exercise and teach him to be responsible," Rita replied in defense.
"Rita, I know you want to do what's best for Lincoln, but you should realize that you shouldn't force him to do things you think what's best for him. I'm not saying that he shouldn't join some sports, but you should've known that football isn't the right place for him if he's not athletic. You should've considered suggesting soccer for him or something less dangerous. But you need to know if Lincoln wants to join sports. As for the incident at the grocery store, why is it that you don't put Lori in charge since she's the oldest, and for that matter, why didn't you punish your daughters for causing trouble at the grocery store?"
"I take responsibility really seriously in my time when I was young. When my father left to join the marines, I have to major responsibility of helping my mother. Years passed at age of 13, and I finally got my father back...but my mother died in a few months. Now I have to take responsibility again, I choose Lincoln if he can handle the responsibility he got in grocery shopping...but he failed so I grounded him, never know if my girls will cause a major problem in the store." Rita answered
"Rita, you should know that your son could've succeeded in doing that kind of task if your daughters didn't misbehave themselves. You didn't punish them as you did with Lincoln when they were causing trouble at the store. Rita, you need to think of what's actually fair on who gets punished, otherwise, this will make your son think his sisters are free of consequences."
Rita shunned her head. "I never wanted my baby boy to feel that way, no wonder my father say it to me."
Three weeks after Child Service...
Rita called her father Pop-Pop again and he answered. "Dad I'm glad you called, please I just wanna talk to you."
Pop-Pop sighed over the phone as he replied "I've heard from Child Service, Rita. I've heard everything on record about why did you miss Lincoln's graduation, as well as many other things. And frankly, I'm disappointed."
Rita felt her heart sink, it felt really painful to hear her own father said that, "Pop-Pop, I-"
"Rita, I expected better from you. I let you marry Lynn cause I thought you'd handle the responsibility of marriage as well as raising children of your own. But after what you and your husband did to Lincoln, your only son...I can't help but feel disappointed in you. How will your own mother think if she was still alive right now?"
Rita gets a little torn up. "As I let her down, I thought to treat Lincoln like myself and handle much responsibility in him to be a great man but only leads to a big mess. I force him to do exercise and even make him play football. I grounded him of handle the responsible to get the grocery, but my daughter causes problems. I just want to help Lincoln be like me at my age!"
"Lincoln not you Rita," Pop-Pop said seriously.
"But he's my son and-"
"Lincoln is his own person, just like the rest of your daughters." Pop-Pop told her sternly, he gives a sigh "I know that you want what's best for Lincoln and your family, but you have to realize that Lincoln does things in his own way. He's not an exact copy of you, no one can. He's unique in his own way. Just like how I and your mother viewed you as, a unique person. Like how Lincoln is good with his artwork."
Rita felt shocked at what he's heard "He's got a talent?"
"Yes, the boy's a natural artist. Drew me as the Thing, one of my favorite heroes of the Fantastic Four." Pop-Pop states, "That boy's something else, he's a good kid and you've raised him right." he then sighs as he finishes "I hope you realized how good of a son you have, Rita. He's just one of a kind."
Rita's heart shook of Lincoln finally got his talent, but sad of missed it. "Thank you got info dad, but I wanted my baby to come home and forgive me."
"Sorry sweetie, but we both know that's impossible...if u wanted Lincoln's forgiveness, you need to figure it out yourself...I need to go, goodbye." Pop-Pop replied as he hang up.
Rita nodded as she hang up. She looks depressed as before. All she could ever do is earn Lincoln's forgiveness for all the trouble she puts him through.
"What am I gonna do, mom?" Rita asks herself as tears flow from her eyes.
And so the Louds finished their session and went straight home. On the way, the family look down as they thought of what Dr. Lopez told them. They all must accept the fact that Lincoln will never be able to live with them.
"I hope Linky's doing fine in New York," Leni said.
"He's very lucky to meet some famous Avengers and the X-Men," Lori said looking at the post from her phone.
"That settles it!" Lynn shout making the family startled. "I'm sick of missing out on all the moments with our brother, we not gonna leave out no one again."
"I know sweetie, my thoughts exactly...here on in, I don't want no leave each other anymore. Understand?" Rita question
"Yes, mom..." the girls said
"For everyone we know, including Lincoln's sake...we gonna change." Lynn Sr replied as others agree.
Robo-Geek goes to his boss. "Sir, I heard Linkage coming back. One of your spies' cameras spots the jet."
"Excellent, and how long until the project is complete?" John asked.
"About two weeks, sir," Robo-Geek replied while analyzing the device.
"Good," John said as he looks at a tube, an idea pops up in his evil mind "Maybe it's time for you to get out, Mr. Santiago."
In the tube, a large wolf-like hand hits the glass.
Hope enjoy part 2, next is gonna be seeing what happens in the city.
