Bill sat in the living room surrounded by his bags. He listened to the rain that dripped into the puddles outside and almost dozed away. A loud crack startled him awake. A soft knock followed. He got to his feet. Fleur was gone.
Hermione smiled at him and he stepped aside to let her in. He took her coat and they hugged half-heartedly.
"Ready?" she asked him.
"Yea, do you want to go first?" he said, grabbing a handful of powder.
"Sure." Hermione said, grasping the floo powder and stepping into the fireplace. "Forget About It!"
He followed her in a bright green woosh, Bill appeared in a Healer's office, what looked like a waiting room. A kind witch smiled at him. He siphoned the soot off his boots as he stepped into the room.
"We have an appointment." Hermione said to her. The witch confirmed them and they sat to wait their turn.
Hermione had explained to Bill everything that had happened when Fleur left them both feeling horrible and confused last night. Bill had not known that Hermione had also done the procedure to erase their time together as he had done. And somehow, they had both ended up scrambling down each other's pants in an alleyway. And Fleur was the most hurt victim of their uncontrolled emotions.
They decided to restore the memories now that the damage was done. There was nothing left to undo or forget.
The Weasleys were reeling from the revelations. No one had seen it coming and eventually, it got out that Fleur had also been unfaithful too. Ron was surprised to hear secondhand what had happened between them, still opting not to restore his memories to escape his relapse that one time.
The procedure wasn't painful, the memories weren't painful either. When everything flooded back to him and he looked up at Hermione from the chair he was completely filled with a warmth he didn't know he had felt before. Hermione blushed.
"Your turn." Bill said excitedly. He looked at Hermione who returned his knowing gaze with reproach. He chuckled, "Oh man, this is going to be good."
Hermione took her place in the chair and Bill watched the Healer perform the charm reversal. When Hermione opened her eyes she looked wide-eyed at Bill. All the memories came with a flush of bright pink on her cheeks.
"Alright then!" Hermione said to the Healer in a high-pitched voice. "Thank you! Let's go, Bill."
The jovial Healer beamed happily at them as Hermione grabbed his hand and yanked Bill out the door.
Bill saw the mossy little cottage and took a deep breath in. Hermione unlocked the door and lifted the bags through the door with magic. She dropped it when Bill grabbed her in his arms and kissed her. She smiled and opened her mouth to invite him in.
He plucked at her clothes and removed them, walked steadily to the red door. He pushed her against it, pressing his weight into her and grabbing a fistful of her hair. It was so soft and smelled of everything he missed.
Hermione's hands worked at his belt and he ripped at her underwear. She raised her legs to wrap around him. He pushed into her with a fervour he didn't know he had and she gasped into his mouth, biting his lip.
"William." she murmured, "Welcome home."
Lifting her with one arm, he turned the bedroom door's handle and walked her to bed, laying her down beneath him. He felt ecstatic. She felt right. Hermione's hands were tangled in his hair and grasping at his back tighter with every thrust.
He never had a chance. He couldn't outrun her. She was the moon.
