Chapter 8!

In this chapter, Adam get's his purified spirits of earth and everyone relaxes at the beach.

Or will they relax? Or will a party crasher join them?

Chapter 8: Beastie girls

ON THE ISLAND

"See ya, Buddy!" Takuya yelled as he stood on the Island that Whamon had dropped them off at.

"Bye! Whamon!" Daisuke yelled as she held a waving Marigold who giggles before sneezing as she got used to the salty air.

Adam waved goodbye saying "Thanks! Whamon!"

Zoe yelled goodbye in Spanish which got Sabrina's interest, while Davis just chuckled as he watched Whamon vanish under the ocean.

After everyone bid their sea friend goodbye the group went up to the sandy path and off the rocks, Adam sighs as he said "I can't believe this all happening,"

"You'll get used to it, buddy," Takuya said as he patted Adam on the shoulder making the new youngest team member give a small smile.

"Still, I did all those things as Grumblemon and I can't remember any of it," Adam said as he pulled out his D-Tector.

He got it after his phone changed to be green and brown and the now according to Bokomon purified spirits of earth entered his new D-tector, he was still in awe of all this yet he felt a little bad at being played with like a puppet by Cherubimon.

"Don't worry, it's in the past now and your one of the team," Davis said as he smirked at Adam who put his D-tector away.

"I guess I am, but I can't help but wonder something," Adam said as Daisuke walked over asking "Wondering what?"

"If the other warriors are possessed humans," Adam said getting everyone's attention.

"It might be possible, with how powerful Grumblemon was and this is just a guess but Cheribumon must have decided to use humans to boost the power of his own evil warriors," Bokomon said.

"That creep!" Zoe said as Sabrina gave a small scowl of disgust, she would love to punch Cherubimon right now.

Davis nods in agreement when he remembered something.

"Wait a minute, I just remembered that I got my beast spirit!" Davis said remembering the event back in Seraphimon's castle.

Sabrina's eyes widen as she too remembered this little fact.

"Me too!" she said while taking her D-Tector out.

"I forgot that you got it back in Seraphimon's castle," Koji said as he looked over Davis's shoulder.

Zoe nods as she said "And JP got hit beast spirit too,"

Teresa smiles saying "So only Zoe and I are left to get our beast spirits, not bad I'd say,"

Neemon nods saying "I wonder where the other beasties are?"

"We can find them later," Zoe said as the group started walking away from the ocean and through the small path of palm trees.

They kept walking enjoying the sunshine and gentle breeze as Davis talked with Adam and Sabrina chatted with Bokomon about Seraphimon's egg and how it was doing.

"You know, I can't help but notice that it's summer and we're at a beach," JP said smirking as he looks around.

Zoe nods holding up her hand as the group came to a stop she blocked the sun from her eyes saying "Hehe, I noticed that,"

Teresa grins saying "You know what that means!"

"Summer Vacation!" Everyone yelled even Koji!

That's when Daisuke thought of something.

"Hey if we're going to the beach why not go as our digimon selves?" She asked making everyone look at her.

"Digimon selfs? Why?" Koji asked as he looked at the young warrior of miracles.

"Think about it, all we have been doing as digimon is fighting right?" Daisuke asked.

Takuya nods. "Yeah, we have," He said.

"So, why not take the time to relax as a digimon? It will help us understand digimon more and Adam gets to try out his new spirit if he wants to," Daisuke said.

"I'll wait a bit, I'm still getting used to all this," Adam said but he liked the idea of relaxing at the beach.

"I get it! We relax and bond with our spirits more," JP said as he grins.

"Not a bad idea," Koji said as he patted Daisuke on the head making the girl chuckle.

"Wait, what about those who want to relax as humans?" Takuya asked his spirit was fire and as we all know, water and fire don't mix!

Teresa nods in agreement with Takuya, she really didn't want to feel like she was melting as a digimon.

"Hmm, well those who don't want to be a digimon can stay human," Daisuke said making Teresa and Takuya smile.

Veemon then choose that moment to ask "What do you do at the beach mamma?"

"Many things, we'll show you when we get there," Sabrina said as she picked Veemon up and gave her a piggyback ride.

"I have an idea, why don't some of us relax as digimon and later when it cools down we can call have a campfire at the beach as digimon together," Davis said with a grin as everyone thought it over before nodding.

"Sounds good, I wanna relax as Mikomon and I know you wanna relax as Tenshimon sis," Sabrina said making Daisuke nod as Merigold nods and giggle, she wanted to play!

"I'll finally get to relax my wings, haven't had the chance since the TV forest and before that," Davis said with a fond smile remembering Celesta village, he then looks around and saw everyone smirking and smiling.

"All agreed? Fun day at the beach as digimon?" Davis asked making everyone yell "Agreed!"

"But first we need to find a good place to relax," Bokomon said as Neemon looked around the area.

Neemon then stopped saying "Oh!" he then pointed a building up ahead of the group along the beach.

"Oh is right! Look!" Bokomon said as he pointed at the building himself.

The group ran over to the building to see a sign that said 'Toucan Paradise' it looked like a beach house that tourists would visit.

"Whats summer vacation without a beach house?" Zoe said as they walked up to the hut-like house.

"This is a little too convenient," Koji said as he looked the place over, he was a bit uneasy.

Teresa hummed before saying "I don't know about that but it sure looks awfully comfortable,"

Sabrina nodded in agreement with Teresa, she was itching to relax.

Suddenly, four bird digimon ran outside yelling "Welcome!"

One bird had a white scarf around his neck, one had a chef hat on, one had a safari hat on and the last one had an apron on.

Davis raised an eyebrow at the birds they reminded him of a tropical bird he saw on TV once, they sure had big beaks.

Bokomon sighs saying "Oh, goodie, it's the Toucanmon, gaudy looking creatures but very timid their attack is Crazy Crest, sounds rather silly doesn't it?"

Veemon giggles as she got off Sabrina's back and went to her Mama's side, she found the bird digimon to be funny! But something seemed off about them, something the young dragon digimon couldn't place.

'I'll stay with Mama, I don't wanna get hurt' Veemon thought as she held her Mama's hand making her smile.

"Honored guests! We welcome you to Toucan Paradise," The Toucanmon with the scarf around its neck said before giving a polite bow to the group.

"Thank you, Mister Toucanmon we're honored you're honored," Teresa said in slight shock she had not been expecting that.

Adam nods saying "Yeah we're honored but we're broke,"

'Way to put a damper on things, Adam!' Sabrina thought while glancing at the new warrior of Earth.

The apron-wearing Toucanmon then flew into the air saying "Oh! Please! What's a few digi-shackles among friends? And it just so happens that today everything is on the house! By which I mean free! Not served on the route,"

Bokomon took a step back saying "We know what it means,"

The chef hat Toucanmon then flew into the air looking panicked yelling "Sorry! So sorry! It was just a small joke! Very small!"

"I-it's okay!" Daisuke said holding up a hand trying to calm the bird down, which did not work.

"No! No! No! We are humiliated! There's absolutely nothing we won't do to make it up to you!" The Safari Hat Toucanmon yelled as he like his fellow birds went into a bow.

The group got excited about that!

"Oh, wow! Really?" JP asked with a big smile on his face.

"Really! Really! Really! Double Really!" The four birds yelled as they flapped into the air.

'That's a lot of really's!' Davis thought as he followed his friends into the beach house.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

"Whoa, this is a lot of food," Sabrina said as she sat at the table beside Zoe and Teresa.

There was Curry, Raman, noodles, a whole bunch of sauces, drinks and a few other bits of food. Including desserts!

"Let's dig in!" Davis yelled as everyone cheered and dug in as the Toucanmon stood watching them nearby.

Daisuke smiles as she fed Veemon some Curry which was mild in spiciness, the little dragon made a delighted noise as she held her cheeks enjoying the new food.

"Like it?" Daisuke asked her daughter making the dragon nod saying "Yeah! More please!"

"Good girl for saying please, here you go," Daisuke said as she fed Veemon another mouthful of curry making Veemon wag her tail.

'Awww!' Zoe thought as she watched the scene between the two, it was adorable! Zoe had to admit, Veemon had grown on them all she was starting to see the little dragon as her own little niece in a way since she saw Daisuke as a little sister.

'Strange, I come on this big adventure and I end up getting little siblings of my own' Zoe thought as she gazed at the triplets with a fond smile before going back to her food.

Soon the group had eaten all of the food and were very full, Marigold burps making her cover her mouth with a blush as Davis chuckles before burping himself this made both Davis and Marigold laugh.

"That was wonderful!" The group said to the Toucanmon making the birds turn to them with smiles.

"Don't mention it," The Toucanmon said with smiles as Adam gave a burp before covering his mouth making Daisuke giggle.

Daisuke then calmed down as she looked out of the window at the beach, wait a minute! The beach! They were gonna find a place to relax as digimon.

"Guys? I just remembered, aren't we supposed to be looking for a spot on the beach to relax and have fun?" Daisuke asked looking at her friends.

"Yeah, we are," Zoe said as they stood up.

"We can help with that!" The Toucanmon said making the group look over.

One Toucanmon then went over to a curtain and pulled a rope making the curtains move to show beach stuff!

"Awesome!" Adam said as Teresa nods beside him.

"For today as a summer special, you can rent all this stuff for free!" The apron-wearing Toucanmon said.

"You go out and have fun while we prepare supper," The Chief Toucanmon said as the group rushed over to check the beach stuff out.

"Let's go and have fun!" Davis cheered making his siblings smirk as everyone grabbed something and went outside.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

OUTSIDE

"Bonzai!" Came the yell of Takuya, Koji, JP, and Teresa as they ran over to the ocean.

Teresa had an inner tube float and a blue one-piece swimsuit on, JP had on a striped yellow and peach body swimsuit. (Don't know what it's called)

Takuya had on a red pair of swim trunks while Koji had on a blue pair, the three boys and one girl laughed as they enjoyed the ocean. JP smiles as he floated on his inflatable dinghy, while Teresa floated in her ring as Takuya raced Koji.

"Well, you guys are having fun," The voice of Tenshimon rang out making the group look over.

The boys blushed cause Tenshimon stood on the sand without her usual armor and clothing, instead, she had on a purple two-piece swimsuit with a pair of sandals with her wings tucked close. Her helmet was also off showing her golden eyes as her hair was done up in a simple bun, she smiled as Veemon waved at them from her arms. If not for the wings she would look like a model on a beach getting her photo done, thankfully the swimsuit covered up a lot.

"I think you broke them, sis," Angelomon said walking over with Mikomon.

Angelomon lacked his armor and clothing, instead, they had been replaced with orangish-yellow swim trunks and a pair of beach sandals. His wings tucked close to his back as his hair was in a ponytail, his own violet eyes looking around in amusement. His body was toned letting his muscles and toned six-pack show, he grins showing faint canines as he held his hip.

Beside him stood Mikomon in a white two-piece swimsuit, she also had one of those skirt beaches wraps around her waist in red. She had her hair in its usual braids but her mask was off showing her ice-blue eyes, she too had sandals on. All she was missing was the sunglasses, she grins as she enjoyed the sun on her face.

"I think I have, oh, where is Adam?" Tenshimon asked looking around.

"I'm right here!" Adam said running over, he had on some brown swim trunks he then ran past them and into the ocean.

The trio chuckled as they got to relaxing on the beach as Adam got into a water fight with the boys while Teresa cheered them on, up on the sand Neemon soon found himself being buried by Marigold as Tenshimon lay on a beach chair with her wings spread out to enjoy the sun. Bokomon was in a chair next to her but under a huge beach umbrella with shades on and a drink.

Mikomon was chatting with Angelomon as they sat on the sand watching the ocean, Angelomon hums as he thought of something.

"Hey, Mikomon? Do you think we should start expanding our move sets some more?" Angelomon asked as he crossed his arms.

"How so?" Mikomon asked looking at him.

"Well, we've not been training as much, not like how we did back at the village," Angelomon said lifting his hand making his energy dance across it.

"We've been from one battle to the next," Mikomon said seeing his point before nodding.

"Let's bring it up later, for now, let's relax as much as possible," Mikomon said patting Angelomon on the shoulder making him smirk and nod as they got back to relaxing.

Nearby, unknown to the two, their sibling had heard this discussion, she gave a minute frown. It was true, they were hardly training as much as they should. Tenshimon then opened her eyes when Neemon spoke up breaking her from her thoughts.

"Are my ears getting burned?" He asked as Marigold patted the sand on his body while grinning.

"Why worry? Your brain is already cooked," Bokomon said before looking over in the direction of the changing areas.

He lifted up his sunglasses asking "I don't see Zoe, have we lost one?"

Tenshimon sat up and looked over as well, she frowns a bit. Zoe was taking a long time, maybe something was wrong? Looking over at her sibling she opened up the psychic link with them.

{Sis? Can you check on Zoe?} Tenshimon asked making Mikomon glance at her before nodding.

Mikomon gave a nod to their brother before heading over to the changing rooms, Angelomon went over to the water as Tenshimon stood up to help Neemon out before Marigold buried his head in the sand.

Mikomon was just arriving at the changing rooms when Zoe screamed, jumping into action she ran over and saw figures running from the room growling created a ball of Foxfire, and threw the blue fireball at the figures making them squark loudly as feathers went flying.

Mikomon growls as they got away, she stood in front of the changing room on guard.

"Are you okay Zoe?" Mikomon asked as she heard the others running over.

"I am! Just keep everyone out!" Zoe yelled as the group arrived.

"What happened!?" Takuya asked concerned.

"I'm not entirely sure but the Toucanmon tried to enter the changing room with Zoe in there," Mikomon said as Angelomon spotted the feathers.

"Why would the Toucanmon be around here? Aren't they suppose to be making supper?" Teresa asked making everyone share a look as Zoe came out fully dressed with a light pink face.

"They were after something, Tenshimon, Mikomon, your stuff has been moved around," Zoe said as she looked at the two female warriors.

"Really?" Tenshimon asked handing her daughter to Angelomon who distracted her by making orbs of light with his powers.

The two went inside to where they stored their stuff as the group talked outside, Tenshimon went over to her basket and looked through it. She then growls when she found her D-Tector gone! She had put it in there for safekeeping but now it was missing, she started to get a bad feeling as Mikomon growls.

"It's gone," Mikomon said as Tenshimon nodded.

"Get changed now," Tenshimon said making Mikomon nod as she quickly got to changing back into her armor and clothes.

Tenshimon went outside with a grim look making everyone fall silent.

"Everyone, go and check your cloth baskets, both Mine and Mikomon's D-tector's are gone," Tenshimon said making eyes go wide.

"Damn it!" Angelomon said before handing Veemom to Zoe and running off with the boys.

"I'll look after Mari, you get changed," Zoe said making Tenshimon nod as she went back inside to change.

If their D-tectors had been taken then the tree warriors wouldn't be able to change back since the digivices stored their spirits inside them, Tenshimon did not want to risk changing back without them and something going wrong.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

Tenshimon's worries had been corrected when the boys found their D-tectors gone, Zoe was very grateful she had waited to find her swimsuit before changing into Kazemon now.

The three warriors now clothed and armored were on the lookout, Tenshimon and Angelomon looked from the sky as Mikomon ran along the ground.

"I see them up ahead!" Angelomon yelled as he saw the birds singing something up ahead, they had bands around their heads, Ranamon badges, and fans.

'Great, fanboys!' Angelomon thought as Tenshimon flew down making him follow behind.

"Hold it right there, you thieves," Tenshimon said landing making the Toucanmon back up at the sight of her.

"Uh-oh!" The lead Toucanmon said as Angelomon lands in front of the humans just in case of any nasty surprises while Mikomon lands and had her staff at the ready.

"Just what do you mean by Ranamon the ravishing? Huh!" Takuya asked annoyed as Tenshimon crossed her arms.

"Give our D-tectors back to us right now!" Koji said while Merigold beside Zoe nods.

"Yeah, give them back!" Merigold said having a cute glare on her face.

"No way, no how! These little babies are our ticket to a date with Ranamon," The head Toucanmon said holding up Koji's D-Tector.

"Take it from me, you guys are delusional now give them back!" JP said as Teresa nods beside him.

"They're not yours!" Adam said a bit upset, he just got his D-Tector!

"You can't make us! Now scram!" The leader said only for the four Toucanmon to flinch when Angelomon cracked his knuckles as Tenshimon's hands glowed while Mikomon pulled some talismans out.

"M-maybe we should scram," The third Toucanmon said.

"Scramming!" The four then yelled as they took off running as fast as their legs could carry them.

"Hey!" Tenshimon yelled as she shot into the air and gave chase, Mikomon threw the talismans she had but missed as Angelomon growls picking up Marigold and giving chase.

"This is so dumb," Tenshimon mutters as she summoned her crystal bow ready to shoot if she has to.

Then movement from the sea made her stop and yell "Look out! The ocean!"

"That doesn't look good!" Adam yelled as Ranamon appeared on a pillar of water.

"Oh, dear! It's Ranamon," Bokomon said as Angelomon landed and passed Merigold to Teresa who nods and hides behind JP and Adam, the little dragon poked her head up to watch what was going on.

"Hi yall!" Ranamon said waving.

"She's the warrior of water and very evil right now," Bokomon said not forgetting the fact a human may be bonded to the warrior right now.

"Well of course she is," Takuya said not liking the situation right now.

"She sure has lousy timing," Koji said.

"I agree with Koji," Angelomon said summoning his staff.

"What a pleasant surprise, I have so looked forward to seeing you all again, I'd hoped to have my beast spirit to show you first but everything happens for a reason, we can't have everything just be good little children and hand over your spirits, I'd love to stay and chat but frankly you bore me to tears, now how's that sound?" Ranamon said looking all cute and whatnot.

Zoe was not impressed as she steps forward saying "Sounds stupid to me,"

"Zoe's right, it is stupid," Mikomon said as she twirls her staff.

"We don't have our D-tectors, the only ones who can fight are the triplets and Zoe," Koji said feeling a bit helpless.

"We'll handle her," Zoe said pulling her D-Tector out.

"Goodie, goodie, this will be a treat," Ranamon said as she gave a vicious smirk as the water picked up into water tornados.

"Mikomon! Protect everyone! Angelomon, help me with these! Zoe, you get Ranamon!" Tenshimon yelled as she shot forward and focusing she turned her bow into a crystal sword and swiped at the water tornado and cut it in half.

Angelomon used his staff and slice through the other one as Zoe was covered in Data.

"Heaven's Barrier!" Mikomon yelled holding out her staff as a barrier forms around the group, protecting them from the harsh wind and water.

"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" Zoe yells as she changed into her digimon form.

"Kazemon!" Kazemon yelled as she shot into the air while drawing her sword, she growls at Ranamon as the two angels were kept busy by Ranamon's water spouts aimed at the shore.

Tenshimon growls as she saw the tunnels of water chase Kazemon down, she turns stopping another water spout before de-summoning her weapon and looking at the water chasing Kazemon.

"I hope this works," Tenshimon said hold up her arms.

"Psychic!" Tenshimon yelled as her hands gain a purple outline to them.

The same outline of energy then appears around the water making it freeze in place, Kazemon stops and turns to see what happened. She looks over at Tenshimon as Angelomon blocks an attack aimed at her.

"No fair! Your cheating!" Ranamon yelled as the warrior of miracles smirked.

"Not cheating, just being creative," Tenshimon said as she clenched her hands making the water explode and dropdown.

Ranamon growls yelling "Whipping wave!"

The water lashed out again but this time Kazemon was prepared, she held up her sword which became surrounded by the wind she then slashed her sword rapidly.

"Hurrican slash!" Kazemon yelled as the sword slashes of wind hit the water breaking it apart.

Angelomon then sweatdrops as Ranamon and Kazemon exchanged insults, they really didn't like each other right now, did they? Angelomon then watched as Ranamon suddenly stops before diving into the ocean below Kazemon.

"I got a bad feeling about this," Angelomon said flying beside his sister who nods.

{Tenshimon, Angelomon, does she feel familiar to you at all?} Mikomon asked down their link making the two share a look.

"Now that you mention it, she does a bit, but why? Is the human she's bonded to someone we know?" Angelomon asked making Tenshimon shake her head.

The only person she could think of that they knew related to the water was Jun, she was a very good swimmer but the last time they saw her was when she went for her swimming lessons, there's no way she could be here in the digital world. Could she? Tenshimon just hoped she was overthinking things.

The ocean then started glowing, a sign that someone was digivolving, they soon got their answers as the water warrior's voice was heard below.

"It's all over now honey! Too bad, I was actually starting to enjoy our little spat," Ranamon's voice was heard but it sounded much different now.

"Incoming!" Mikomon yelled sensing the aura change, it would be a fight now!

"Ready or not, here I am!" From the water burst a big squid digimon, a very...let's just say beauty was not Ranamon's beast spirit forte.

"In all my radiant beauty, aren't you impressed?" Ranamon or rather Calmaramon said now.

"Holy that's...ugly," Angelomon said flying back in shock while everyone else had various states of shock and horror on their faces.

"Ah! Scary!" Merigold yelled hiding her face in Teresa's neck.

"I can see by your faces you still need convincing, maybe you need a closer look at sweet Calmaramon," Calmaramon said as she suddenly moved towards the shoreline where she started to stomp around and cause havoc.

"That is one ugly..uh, ah," Takuya said struggling to find the words to stay.

"I think your word is hideous," Adam said beside Takuya with wide eyes.

"She's not very nice either," Teresa said while trying to keep Merigold calm.

"And she smells awful did you notice that?" JP said.

"Who do you think you are?! You can't insult Calmaramon and get away with it!" Calmaramon yelled not looking happy as her two tentacles slammed down on the barrier that Mikomon held up.

Tenshimon flew down and went to summon her crystal sword but Calmaramon slams into her with her tentacle sending her into the ground, she gasped in pain as she landed on one of her wings at an awkward angle.

"Mama!" Merigold yelled in worry.

"Daisuke!" Everyone yelled.

Unknown to the group, at her name, something deep inside Calmaramon awakened. The beast of water laughs at the downed angel.

"What's the matter are you not enjoying our little dance? Maybe I should turn up the music," Calmaramon said as Tenshimon pushed herself up, Kazemon flew down to help her up as Angelomon flew in front of them.

"Daisuke, Zoe, Davis! Look out!" Takuya yelled as Calmaramon launched herself into the sky.

She held out her arms as her two tentacles spread out and her quid head twisted to look like a drill or something, she laughs yelling "Titanic tempest!"

She began to spin rapidly before yelling in confusion as something else took over making her lose control.

"This can't be happening!" Calmaramon yelled as she flew away while spinning.

"What just happened?" Takuya asked as the barrier Mikomon put up vanished.

"Looks like Ranamon isn't any better at controlling her beast spirit than you lot," Bokomon said as everyone calms down.

"I guess we're okay then," Angelomon said landing by them as Kazemon helped Tenshimon over and sat her down for Mikomon to look over.

"I don't think it's a matter of the beast spirit for all of it," Mikomon said making everyone look at her.

"What do you mean my dear?" Bokomon asked.

"Just as she lost control I sensed the faint human aura within her flare-up, so whoever she's bonded to is fighting back," Mikomon said as she pulled out some paste to put on Tenshimon's bruising wings.

"At least we know that maybe there's a chance we wake them up fully," Adam said making everyone nod in agreement.

"Mama," Merigold said as she was set down and ran over to hug her mother who smiled and patted her head.

"Where are the Toucanmon?" Angelomon asked looking around.

The group was silent for a moment as they also looked around, then everyone, minus Zoe, Bokomon, Neemon, Merigold, and the golden trio yelled.

"We forget about the Toucanmon!" Everyone yelled before they took off running to find the birds.

"Oh my, what a day," Mikomon said making Tenshimon nod in agreement.

What a day indeed, she just hoped they could find the Toucanmon before anything else bad happens, and knowing their track record trouble wouldn't be too far behind them.
