Jack felt like he was about drop on the floor and flop like a fish. Not only was the daughter of an alien he personally knows standing in his office, but the Woman who had hijacked the Prometheus and then later been swept away to another galaxy was there!
"Okay, just for clarification, what the hell are you doing in my office?"
"Well, Lt. Quinn here said we should stop by for a visit." Vala spoke up. Juniper looked miffed. An almost mimicked look of Vala's
"I said we should come for a visit! It was You who wanted to see Daniel!" Vala opened her mouth to retort but Jack cut her short.
"Okay, Juniper, Shouldn't you be on Kelowna, and Vala, weren't you stuck in the Ori galaxy at last check?"
"It's a very Long story, sir." Juniper added the last part thoughtfully, as she perceived Jack as more of an Uncle than a commanding officer. A knock at the door startled them.
"Come in." Jack said as a reflex as he moved towards the door.
"Sam!... er… Colonel." Juniper fell back into a salute. Sam smiled and shook her head, then saluted back. "How have you been?"
"Fine, just fine." Juniper then noted how tired and worn looking Sam was.
Sam, noting Junipers careful study of her face, smiled. " I just got off a six-hour plane ride, I'm a bit tired. And last I checked weren't you on another planet?"
"Oh, I hitched my way back with SG-3 on their last check-up mission."
Sam looked confused. "Since when are you a LT.?" Sam looked amused now.
"Oh, yeah, I joined the air force a few years ago, then got myself transferred to the SGC, then they transferred me to Langara (the planet formerly known as Kelowna) Then I got transferred back and had a few weeks of downtime, so I thought I'd stop by for a visit."
