Chapter two
Back in Time
"I didn't think I would end up in a meeting when I agreed to this mission," I grumbled, wrapping my wings around my body. Damn conference room is cold….
"Unfortunately, there are a few things we need to go over. Contingencies and such," Yaoyorozu said apologetically.
I sighed and looked around the room. Besides the two of us, there were eight ` others. Deku and Shouto were to my right. Across from us were Mina, Denki (A), Jirou, and Sero. At the heads of the table were, surprisingly, Aizawa-sensei and Hawks.
I studied the other winged hero. He wasn't much older than my fathers' class. Six years at most. If Daddy had been eighteen, the cheating theory is definitely a possibility. Our wings are definitely similar in color, and the blond parts of my hair matches his….
"Shigo, you need to pay attention," Mina said gently. I snapped back to attention and saw that everyone was looking at me.
"Sorry, what was said?"
"According to Hatsume, the machine has a ten percent chance of sending you to the wrong time. If it sends you too far ahead, she has programmed it to bring you back to now. But if you are sent too far into the past, you will have to stay there until the correct date," Hawks reported. I frowned.
"Wait, so there's a chance I will be sent as far as thirty years before their argument? I'll age! I will be old by the time I even meet them! Dad isn't going to listen to me!" This was so not what I signed up for…. I would come back much older than everyone I love….
"We talked to her about that as well, and she says you won't age at all. Not until you come back at least," Aizawa said tiredly. Why did he even come? He's already retired.
"That's even worse. People will get suspicious if I don't age at all in thirty years."
"That's why we are giving you these." Deku handed me two envelopes. "Inside those are letters to Nana Shimura and Aizawa-sensei. Nana's is for if you are sent to a year before we all are in UA, and Aizawa's is for if you get there while we're still in school. They explain the situation and give undeniable proof that you are a hero hopeful on a mission. This way you will have backup and support," Deku explained.
"Ok then. Anything else I need to know?"
"How do you plan to prevent Kiri and Bakubro from separating for that week?" Sero asked me.
"When Daddy leaves the house or whatever, I'm going to talk to him outside to calm him down and convince him to go back inside. They would just have to talk things out. Worst comes, I'll push them to spar it out."
"The spar will work better," the others all said at once.
"Yeah…. You're not wrong," I snorted. We all smiled thinking about young Katsuki Bakugou. I then sighed softly. "I really hope this works."
"It will. Don't worry, you're going to save Kirishima," Denki said with a grin.
"Ok, let's do this."

"Remember, you will come back the day Kirishima goes for his appointment whether you've talked to them or not. That's the only guarantee I can give you with this baby," Hatsume was telling me.
"Don't worry. I'll talk to them. My fathers' lives are depending on it," I said softly. I tried to wrap my wings around myself out of instinct, only to be disappointed.
That was Hawks' idea. He suggested we use a quirk to alter my appearance a bit. The blond parts of my black and blond hair are now fiery red. My eyes are more lava red rather than ruby red. My teeth are normal rather than sharp. And, most importantly, my wings are gone. I miss them already. Thankfully, this is only until I come back to my correct time period.
"Hey." I looked up at the pink haired support hero. "Kick ass while you're there. And find out how your quirk actually works (B). That way I can make better babies for you."
I chuckled. "I'll see what I can do."
With that, I stepped into the time machine. Deku, Yaoyorozu, and Aizawa had gone over every single map and building plan from the past fifty years to make sure there was an empty room in this exact spot for me to appear in. Hopefully, those documents were one hundred percent accurate….
"Alright, we're firing it up," Hatsume grinned from the other side of the chamber.
I gave her a thumbs up, and she started pushing a few buttons and flipping switches. The machine began to vibrate, and I looked down at myself. Ok, ethereal shining. That was in the description for what to expect.
I looked up just in time to see Dad burst into the room. He shoved past Hatsume and placed his hand on the glass door of the chamber.
"Shigo, before you go, I need you to know something. No matter what happened between me and Dumb Hair. No matter what I feared. I always loved you. You are my daughter no matter what genetics say. You know that, right?" Tears filled my eyes as I put my hand on the glass over his.
"I know, Dad. I'm going to fix this. I promise!"
White light filled my vision, then everything went black.
~Line Break~
When my vision cleared again, I was laying down in… a conference room? I think? I was definitely in some kind of office building. At least it's empty.
I pulled out my phone and reset the time to autotimer and date. Ok, I was sent back to the day after dad's third year sports festival. At least I'm not years before any of my heroes were even born. They're just… barely legal heroes.
I walked over to the window to look outside. In my time, this building was near Deku's hero agency, which wasn't too far from UA High. And… yep there it is. I can see the way up to the school.
'Ok, first thing's first. I need to get into the school to talk to Aizawa-sensei,' I thought as I left the building. 'Considering the time, those with work studies should be on patrol. Which ones…?'
"Hey look! It's Red Riot!" My head shot up and back at the excited fan's call. There's no way…. This isn't even where Fat Gum's agency patrols….
Sure enough, though, hero in training Red Riot was currently surrounded by fans. The red head grinned as he talked to the people around him and even signed a few autographs. 'So, he was the same even as a teenager,' I thought as my feet moved on their own. 'Always such a cheerful hero.'
It never changes.
"Hey, um…. You ok there?" a voice broke into my thoughts. I blinked a few times and blushed deeply as I realized I was full on hugging Kirishima in front of everyone. Oh god, they're looking at me like I'm a pathetic child….
"Sorry! I…." I pulled away quickly and proceeded to lie my ass off. "I just… I've been having a really rough time. There's this letter that I have to personally hand off to Eraserhead today. But I don't have access to UA High so I can't do it. When I saw you, all that just came up and… and I guess I just need a hug."
Worry filled his eyes. Ugh, please stop it. Not you too…. "Hey, don't worry about it. You can come with me back to UA to see Aizawa-sensei. Then I'll walk you back home."
I looked up into his kind eyes. 'Why would anyone suspect you would cheat on anyone ever?' "You would really do that for me?"
"Yeah! It would be very unmanly of me if I didn't help someone in need. Come on, I'll call Fat Gum on the way to tell him what's going on."
I hummed and walked alongside him towards UA High. While he talked on the phone, I continued my inner freak out. I was with Daddy again! A younger version of him, but still it's him! It felt so good walking side by side with him again. Not to mention I'll be meeting younger Dad as well soon. I'll have to resist the urge to hug him. I would rather not have an explosion to the face.
"Sensei! I brought someone who needs to talk to you," Kirishima grinned as we were permitted to enter the teacher's lounge. A yellow sleeping bag shifted then unzipped to reveal tired raven.
"Kirishima, what did I say about interrupting my naptime? You have your provisional license. I'm sure you can handle whatever is wrong."
"Actually, umm, I need to talk to you. Alone. It's really important," I put in. He looked ready to protest. "Please. I won't take long, I promise."
"Fine. Red Riot, wait outside for us." The redhead nodded and left the room, closing the door behind him. "You have one minute," Aizawa told me, relaxing back into his chair.
"I'm from the future. Seventeen years in the future to be exact. And I was sent on a mission to change something that will cause a tragedy in my time."
"And you expect me to believe this because?" I reached into my bag and pulled out one of the two envelopes.
"Future you gave me this letter to give to you just in case I was sent to the wrong year," I told him, giving it to him. He opened it, read a couple of lines, then sighed.
"Alright fine. You're from the future. What are the actual details of your mission?" I sighed in relief mand sat down across from him.
"In one year, Bakugou Katsuki and Kirishima Eijirou will decide they want to have a child that is biologically both of theirs. So, they decide to make an appointment with someone with a love quirk to create her. Or, rather, me. I'm the resulting child.
"A week before the appointment though, they had a really bad argument. Kirishima left for a week and didn't come back until I was created. When Bakugou realized I had almost no similarities to him, he began to secretly believe I'm not his daughter. He never showed it outwardly to anyone. He treated me like any father would. But that secret was always in the back of his head.
"One day, he got hit with a quirk. It brought out that insecurity and allowed the villain to control him. He… he was made to kill Daddy… er, I mean, Kirishima. In front of me."
I looked down to try to control my emotions. I will not cry. I refuse to cry in front of the man that taught all of my biggest heroes…. I got over this months ago….
"That must have been difficult for you." I jumped when he rested his hand on my shoulder. "Were you given therapy for this? Did anyone help you?"
"Well, technically yes and no. Principal Yaoyorozu recommended me the best therapist she knows and mandated that I go weekly. But I skipped out on all of the sessions and pushed away anyone who tried to show they felt sorry for me. I just wanted everything to go back to normal. I didn't want to be weak," I admitted sheepishly.
He sighed. "I'm assuming you were sent to prevent Kirishima and Bakugou from separating that week in a year." I nodded. "And you need my help until then to ensure nothing else happens." Another nod. "Very well. But I have conditions."
I groaned. "Oh come on. Please don't."
"You will have one therapy session per week. You don't have to tell any specifics that will give away who you are, but you need to talk to someone."
"Fine! Fine."
"Second, you will do your work study under me to justify how often we will meet up." I nodded. "And you will continue your studies as a 21st member of Class 3A."
"See, I have no issues with those last two. It's the therapy one I don't like," I sighed.
"It's all three or nothing."
I huffed and held out my hand. "Ok! Ok. It's a deal." He shook my hand with a slight smirk.
And my mission officially began.
A: Shigo calls Mina and Denki by their first names because she grew up with the Bakusquad and considers them her favorite auntie and uncle.
B: In Shigo's time, Deku doesn't have enough time to examine her quirk like teenage him would have. Also, yes, her quirk does involve her sweat. At the moment, everyone just assumes her quirk requires her to touch whatever she is hardening. That's why Hatsume says this to her. She knows past Deku will be able to get to the bottom of how her quirk works. And Shigo will be able to bring that information with her to the present.
