CHAPTER 4: Abandoned City Blues Part II

"We should try getting the snow out of the way here. And uh, Shirokane-san and Hina-san. Please don't use your powers for now. Just use it when push comes into shove."
"Does this remind you of anything?"
"And this!"
"It looks like we have arrived at the megacity proper. I wonder what Ash, Renge-san, and Pikachu are doing now, since they are still patrolling the megacity."
"Uh, guys? Something's coming in front of us!"
"Not just that, but there's another more incoming!"
"Once you will all be defeated, the Burning Legion will destroy this world in a matter of seconds! And we'll use this girl's powers and empower our army, and begin our conquest of destroying other worlds beyond our might."

[Megacity Ruins, Earth-8751]
Right now, in the megacity ruins, we see the minions of the Burning Legion including Infernals and Wrath Hounds surrounding the Unity Force, Aloy, Erend, Shuka Hanazono, and Garara・S・Leep. In another building, we see Kil'jaeden and an imprisoned Falala・A・Larm inside her cage, gloating over his impending victory.
"It looks like we have no choice but to stop them!" Maya Tendo said.
"But no matter what..." Garara added. "He must be stopped before everything will be too late... I cannot make this happen..." She added rather deprecatingly, knowing that it will all lead into a cataclysmic destruction if Falala's powers are used for something more sinister.
"Don't make me test my patience." Kil'jaeden warned. "Destroy them, now." He ordered, once again, as the minions of the Burning Legion have make their move to attack the Unity Force. He later disappears through a dark portal with Falala, causing the rest of them to completely lose it.
"Whatever the case, we have to be ready!" Usopp exclaimed.
"And I must stop that monster..." Garara said quietly.
[PLAY MUSIC: Guardians of the Galaxy Video Game OST - Space Riders with No Names]
The Unity Force, Aloy, Erend, Shuka, and Garara prepare themselves for another fight against the Burning Legion. This time, however, they are about to face Infernals as their new foes, now knowing that the Legion will stop at nothing to achieve their goal of attempted hegemony under their grasp.
Aloy proceeds to take out her Hunter Bow, as she proceeds to target the Wrath Hounds, as she is joined by Erend, who uses his war-hammer to bash one Hound, before he proceeds to attack the other.
Zoro later unsheathes his Wado Ichimonji, before he slashes through a group of Hounds, while later dealing with the more powerful red Infernal along the way.
Maya, on the other hand, takes out her signature golden whetstone, before she parries an incoming attack from one of the larger Infernals with her Maverick Parry ability.
Sayo Hikawa later transforms her guitar into her mallet, as she proceeds to enlarge the mallet's head, as she smashes it into the ground, causing icy spikes to appear, as well as a much larger ice spike after the end of the ice path, causing several Hounds to be killed along the way.
Hina Hikawa takes her guitar as she turns it into her rapier, before she splinters it into two smaller rapiers. Fighting against the Hounds, she later makes a quick work for them, causing all of them to be killed, as she unleashes a powerful burst of hellfire onto them.
Hayate Ayasaki later takes out an RPG-7 rocket launcher, as he fires it towards the smaller Infernal, later destroying it, along with the other Wrath Hounds beside it.
Kanta Mizuno later loads up 16mm explosive rounds from his shotgun. A Wrath Hound suddenly jumps towards him, but he uses his rocket winch to anchor into one of the broken street lights, thus leaving a dummy balloon within its path, as he shoots a round towards the pack, immobilising them.
Nagi Sanzenin then proceeds to dash towards the injured Hounds instantaneously, as she later unleashes a powerful scissor kick at one of the creatures, causing the three of them to be flown away into the pond, and later being thrown into the lower level of the megacity.
Ben Tennyson later transforms into Four Arms from his Omnitrix, as he proceeds to take a Wrath Hound, before he tosses it into the rest of the hound horde and a lesser infernal.
Renge Miyauchi later transforms into her magical girl form Prism Heart, as she uses her staff to target several Hounds, before using her signature move known a Prismatic Beam, causing a group of Hounds to be disintegrated in an instant.
Garara later focuses at a group of Wrath Hounds, as her golden eyes suddenly turned red, before she takes off her mini-hat as it turns into a spiked baseball bat with hundreds of nails on it. She then proceeds to bash one of the hounds with such ferocity, before she leaps into another and unleashes another ferocious blow towards it, killing it.
"WHERE. IS. MY. TWIN. SISTER. FALALA. A. LARM?!" Garara punctuated every word, as she pummels the dead Wrath Hound.
"Garara-chan...?" Shuka questioned, as she looks at Garara's newfound personality.
"Don't worry about me, Shuka-chan." Garara said, albeit maniacally. "I'll destroy anyone who were responsible for kidnapping Falala in the first place!" She declared rather maliciously.
"This is not right!" Shuka exclaimed, as she attempts to help Garara out, but she pushes her away.
"NO!" Garara furiously answered. "I'll find her and rescue her, before it is too late." She added. "Do you have any idea what would happen if Falala is to be used for something more nefarious?" She questioned annoyingly. "Now, leave me alone." Garara said, as she fights her way against the horde, before pursuing her goal of rescuing Falala, which deeply worries Shuka.
However, the battle is far from over, as more Wrath Hounds and lesser Infernals march their way through.
"There's more coming!" Aloy exclaimed.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Kanta cursed.
"Damn it!" Zoro cursed, as he continues to fight of against the red Infernal, as he uses his spiritual power known as a Haki, but more specifically Busoshoku Haki. He then takes out another sword known as Shusui, as both his Wado Ichimonji and Shusui later turn completely black. "This is never going to end!" He added, as he clashes towards the construct.
Brook later empowers his shikomizue using his Devil Fruit ability, as he fights off against the Burning Legion horde with deadly swordsmanship, causing a few of the Hounds and the Infernals to be sliced and their bodies later frozen.
Usopp is perched at one of the street lights, where he uses his slingshot, Kuro Kabuto, as he loads it with ammunition known as Pop Greens, but more specifically an ammo type known as Green Star: Skull Exploding Grass. Upon hitting at one of the Infernals, it causes a chain reaction of explosions, hitting several Hounds along the way, which gives Maya the opportunity to take out a platinum whetstone. Maya then uses it within her Odette, before she performs her powerful ultimate attack, which is a dashing attack known as Divinity Crusher.
"DIVINITY CRUSHER!" Maya shouted.
While that happens, platinum-coloured lightning bolts are conjured while Maya dashes forward, causing a group of Wrath Hounds and lesser Infernals to be sliced and killed in an instant. At the expense of using this said power, since it is only done as a last resort, however, Maya feels a significant drain of her own energy, causing her to collapse.
"Tendo-san!" Sayo exclaimed.
"What's going on?!" Nagi asked rather worriedly.
"Maya-san's not even ready to use her powerful move, even if I told her not to do it." Zoro said, as he continues to fend off against the red Infernal.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it." Laala approaches Maya's unconscious body. "Please be fine, Maya-nee-san!" She added, as she touches her forehead, before she glows into a bright light, before they realise that it is healing magic.
"What happened?" Maya asked.
"Healing magic, Maya-nee-sama!" Laala said.
Suddenly, however, a Wrath Hound lunges towards Laala.
"Look out, LAALA-CHAN!" Shuka screamed, as she dashes towards Laala to safety.
Ash takes out a Pokéball and tosses it on the air, revealing a Pokémon from above as it opens.
It is a bipedal, feline Pokémon with a muscular build. It has a short snout with a small red nose, bright green eyes with yellow sclerae, and tiny, pointed ears. Large tufts of red fur extend from its cheeks, and much of its face is also red. The upper half of its muzzle and the top and back of its head are black. A thin red stripe runs vertically along its head to its snout, where it splits into a V-shape over its eyes. Its torso is gray with several black stripes and seems to resemble a wrestler tank-top; the front and back both have a single vertical stripe up the center, crossed by two horizontal lines. Around its waist is a belt formed from flames that somewhat resembles a championship wrestling belt. In the front center is a small, yellow flame shape. The arms, legs, and tail are all red with black stripes forming bands around them. The arms have three stripes, spiky tufts of black fur over the shoulders, and large five-fingered hands with white claws and a single light red pad on the palm. Its legs have only two stripes and simple three-toed paws, and the tail has one stripe and a tuft of spiky black fur around the tip. This is Incineroar, also known as the Heel Pokémon.
"Incineroar, use Throat Chop!" Ash commanded.
"ROAR!" Incineroar roared, as it proceeds to dash towards the Wrath Hound, before its hands turn purple, later hitting the hound's throat, before it is thrown towards a lesser Infernal.
"Nice job, buddy!" Ash said.
"Are you okay, Laala-chan?" Shuka asked.
"I'm fine, Shuka-chan." Laala replied. "Where is Garara-chan?" She asked Shuka.
"She leaves to find Falala-chan." Shuka said.
"You didn't stop her?!" Laala exclaimed.
"I tried my best, but she won't listen to me." Shuka added.
"Consarn it." Laala said.
Meanwhile, with Ash...
"Alright, Pikachu, use Electroweb!" Ash commanded.
"PIKA!" Pikachu later summons an electric web, ensnaring a group of Wrath Hounds.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash commanded again.
"PIKA... CHU!" Pikachu cried out, as it unleashes a thunderbolt towards the hounds, electrocuting them.
Rinko Shirokane later unleashes a powerful blue fireball towards a group of Wrath Hounds through her staff, as it later grows into a large fireball, before she flicks her finger, causing it to explode as several Wrath Hounds are thrown way.
Sorao Kamikoshi later removes her contact lens from her right eye, as it reveals her blue eye. Sorao uses it as a way to drive the Wrath Hound horde insane, causing them to attack each other, but at the expense of her feeling immense and utter pain from the recoil of using it.
"I'm able to make them turn against each other, but it's only a matter of time...!" Sorao said in pained grunts, before she sees bleeding coming from her right eye.
"What's happening to her, Toriko-nee-sama?!" Laala exclaimed.
Toriko Nishina then proceeds to approach Sorao, as she attempts to comfort her friend, who is clearly in pain.
"Sorao's right eye is capable of driving anyone insane by just looking at them, but the problem lies with the side effects of it." Toriko answered. "Sorao, stop it!" She exclaimed.
"In front of you, Nishina!" Erend called out, as one of the Wrath Hounds charged forward towards Toriko and Sorao.
Toriko proceeds to take off her gloves from her left hand, revealing her see-through left hand. Toriko later uses her said hand, as she unleashes a blow towards the Wrath Hound, before they realise it suddenly weakened as she touches it, thus giving her the advantage to take out her M14 EBR rifle and shooting the Hound's head, later killing it.
"What just happened?" Nagi asked.
"The moment I touched the hound, its true form is revealed, thus weakening it." Toriko said.
"So that's what you mean about your hand earlier." Nagi answered, with Toriko nodding, as she sees her helping out Sorao.
Ako Udagawa later uses her drum sticks and merge it into one, as it turns into a reaper's scythe. She later unleashes a powerful attack known as "Scythe of Demise", where she uses her left eye, as her weapon is surrounded with a dark aura. However, unknown to everyone, Ako starts to lose control of herself, which is something that Rinko is starting to be worried with, but she tries to control and contain herself. Charging towards one of the Infernals and a pack of Wrath Hounds, she later unleashes a slicing attack, killing the rest of the group, as souls from the minions she targeted later go into her.
"I must control myself... as Demon Princess Ako..." Ako said, as she puts a hand into her eye.
"Are you okay, Ako-chan?" Rinko asked.
"I'm fine, Rin-rin..." Ako said, as she continues grasping her left eye.
"Udagawa-san, don't push yourself too hard." Sayo said, before Ako stands up properly.
After minutes of battling the Legion horde, they are thankful that it is finally over, before they take a break, as they proceed to leave this part of the megacity before they plan on reaching the pillar to the next city layer. But they soon realise that Garara is nowhere to be seen, as Shuka tells them that Garara continues her pursuit of saving Falala from Kil'jaeden's grasp.
"What?" Kanta questioned.
"You didn't stop her?!" Usopp rhetorically questioned.
"I tried to, but she won't listen to me!" Shuka exclaimed.
"It doesn't matter for now, but we have four people of concern to deal with." Maya said.
"Nevertheless, our estimated time of arrival into the pillar might take us one to two days of walking." Sayo added.
A few hours later, as they reach another part of the megacity, compounding it with the bleakness that surround her, with Aloy continuing her using her own Focus as they con. There, they see more abandoned buildings, as well as a giant chasm in the middle of it, as well as a giant building that is used as a bridge.
"A building used as a bridge?" Aloy said.
"It was probably put there via an explosive, because I can smell some traces of gunpowder." Hina deduced.
"Talk about some strange discovery!" Kanta said. "I found some tiny fragments of it." He continued.
"If that's the case..." Hina said. "Then we might be following Chito-chan and Yuuri-chan's trail!" She added.
"Are you sure about that?" Zoro asked.
"Zappin'!" Hina added. "Gunpowder trails won't just disappear from out of nowhere!" She ended.
"I'll use my Focus." Aloy said, as she turns her Focus on, revealing a holographic trail.
"It looks like we are at the right track on the way to the pillar." Sayo added, as she looks at the maps.
"Whoever wrote that map must be a genius in cartography." Ben said.
"We shouldn't waste our time here, so we should keep heading into the pillar." Kanta added.
With that, the entire group later continue following the trail in front of them. Hours after hours of walking, they later passed by at a fuelling station, as well as the persistent emptiness of the place that only brings more trouble than good.
As they later reach a part of Chito and Yuuri's trail, they later encounter a giant pillar with three broken elevators and a functioning elevator in front of them.
"Are we sure we are in the right destination, Onee-chan?" Hina asked.
"Seems like it." Sayo asked. "Because the trail ends here, I suppose." She added in uncertainty.
"I feel that something doesn't feel right with this elevator." Kanta said in suspicion.
"You really have to doubt this time, do you, Kanta-san?" Hayate asked.
"I'll bet that life of yours, if the elevator breaks." Kanta replied heatedly.
"Just how pessimistic are you?" Hayate remarked.
"Guys, guys, guys..." Nagi said. "Please, there is no time for arguing again." She sighed.
"We're not taking second chances." Zoro said.
The group later carefully head inside the somewhat rickety elevator. Hina later turns it on by turning the lever up, as the elevator slowly ascends through the giant pillar. They later see the current megacity layer getting smaller in size as they ascend slowly.
Until they realise that as they reach halfway through into the highest area of the pillar, the elevator starts to behave rather erratically, causing some panic amongst the rest of the group.
"What is going on?!" Ako rhetorically asked.
"I told all of you that this is going to be like this!" Kanta exclaimed.
"But this is the only way!" Nagi added.
"Maybe I can turn into my Upgrade form." Ben said, as he uses his Omnitrix, transforming him into a new form known Upgrade.
"Where is Ben?" Zoro asked.
"Over here!" Ben, in Upgrade form, called out, as they later see the elevator being transformed through its body. "I'll try my best into not breaking this thing, but it looks like the elevator is badly broken. I have an idea!" He added, as they later see the elevator's rickety pulley system transforms into something else completely different.
"Whoa!" Kanta exclaimed.
"Did the elevator just stop acting abnormally?" Sayo asked.
"It looks like it, Hikawa-san." Rinko added.
"Only a few more before the highest point..." Ben said, as he continues lifting the elevator, but they later hear a ringing noise coming from him, indicating that the Omnitrix has lost its power again. "Uh oh..." Ben said, as he transforms back to his normal form. "DARN IT!" He yelled, as he falls down.
But Sayo later uses her mallet to catch Ben, before Hina later saves him.
"Are you okay?!" Hina exclaimed.
"I guess, but at least we are getting close." Ben said, as the elevator reaches at the top.
"The hell was that elevator?" Usopp questioned.
"It's probably been neglected for so many years." Rinko said.
"No wonder it's breaking apart." Shuka said.
"Hold it." Aloy commanded. "I see someone there!" She said, as they later see a male figure walking all by himself.
"He must be responsible for creating this map." Sayo said.
"Should we talk to him?" Shuka questioned.
"I guess so." Laala answered.
Night falls, as the man later turns himself, as he sees the ragtag Unity Force hero group, much to his surprise and utter shock at the same time, as if he is about to completely lose it, but he maintains his steady composure.
He appears to be a middle-aged man of an average height, who has black hair and is seen wearing round-rimmed glasses. He is seen wearing a clothing that consists of a black jacket, black pants, black boots, and black gloves. This is Kanazawa, a cartographer and one of the survivors of the megacity.
"Who are all of you?!" Kanazawa asked.
"We're not a threat." Zoro said. "Don't worry about us." He added.
"If I believe all of you in the first place." Kanazawa replied.
"I'll tell who we are." Zoro replied.
Zoro later begins explaining to Kanazawa about the Unity Force and the existence of several worlds, as well as the multiverse. She goes into additionally explaining about the goals of the organisation, including saving the world from any threat it comes into.
"So you people are from other worlds?" Kanazawa asked.
"Exactly." Sayo said.
"Hold on..." Kanazawa said. "What is that in your hand?" He added, as he sees the map and the backpack. "That's my backpack and the maps!" He continued.
"Are these yours?" Sayo asked.
"After that ride from the elevator, the backpack with the maps fell down from my possession, but Chito and Yuuri saved me, with the latter reassuring me, before I gave them my own camera." He added, as he takes the backpack and the map Sayo currently is holding. "It was my goal to chart the entire megacity ruins, but I guess I have to do it again." He continued.
"Chito-san and Yuuri-san?" Zoro asked. "Do you know where they are?" He added.
"How do you know them?" Kanazawa asked.
"That's because we are their friends." Zoro asked. "They just disappeared from out of nowhere." He added.
"Oh..." Kanazawa said. "The last time I heard, they were heading to the temple." He added.
"Temple..." Sayo said. "Do you know where it is?" She added.
"I can't remember, but the only thing I can think of is to head through a series of roads in the megacity, until you see a giant squared building, since that is the temple." Kanazawa added.
"By the way, where are the people in this world?" Brook asked. "And what happened to your world?" He added.
"That I'm not sure." Kanazawa responded. "But the people who lived here in the past have been dead for a very long time, so you might say I'm one of the survivors along with Chito and Yuuri." He ended.
"This place is something." Usopp added. "I guess we're heading now!" He added.
"And uh, be careful." Kanazawa said warily. "I saw some strange creatures passing by earlier." He added, before he leaves, as the rest of the group continue their venture into the current layer that they are in, while planning to locate the temple.
"That must be the Burning Legion." Zoro added.
"But what are they doing here?" Maya questioned.
"They're not going to stop until every human is destroyed in this world." Zoro warned.
Heading further into the darkness, Hina later flicks her fingers from her right hand, as she uses it as a torch, when a blue flame appears from her hand.
The next few hours of walking, at midnight, as they reach yet another bridge. They later see strange statues along the way, as well as a broken statue in front of them.
"We need to take a break, for real." Usopp said.
"Is it just me or are these statues look rather uncharacteristically weird?" Kanta said. "Not to mention, they also have eyes and mouth." He added.
"Weird..." Hayate said.
"As if these statues are looking at us with rather creepy intentions in mind, non~." Renge added.
"But it looks like the directions the Kanazawa guy told us are on the right path." Sorao added.
"That's because you are in the right track." A white-haired girl said, with Sorao and Toriko being familiar the most.
"Kozakura-san?" Sorao said.
"It's Kozakura!" Toriko added.
"You know them?" Nagi asked, with Toriko nodding.
But that's not all, however. They later see a giant robot and a young girl beside it.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" Usopp asked rhetorically. "First, these statues, and now a robot?" He questioned.
The young woman is a petite young lady with mid-back length white hair and pale brown eyes. She is seen wearing an oversized plain white shirt that slips on the left side and dark-coloured shorts. This is Kozakura, a researcher and Sorao and Toriko's reclusive companion during their ventures in the Otherside.
The girl is seen holding a wooden staff with the core in the shape of a key with teeth and saw, and a part of the pommel having a giant feather on it. She wears an aviation hat and grey leather boots. She wears a steampunk clothing on the outside, where a canteen is to be seen at the right hip of her clothing, and a white dress on the inside. She has a horn in her forehead, a bell ornament on her neck, fair white skin, black eyes, and blonde hair. This is Jima, an orphaned girl from another world.
The robot is a giant automaton with a copper-coloured body and several gears around it. On its head is a giant keyhole and a bunch of items including a backpack and a cup. The keyhole is surrounded and fastened by chains, as well as it having saw-like hands. It also has a chain attached into a holder in its torso. This is the Saw Monster, Jima's robotic companion.
"Sorry for the sudden appearance!" Jima said. "But our companion Kozakura-nee-sama looks like she might need your help." She added.
"But before that, who are all of you?" Kozakura asked. "I know Sorao and Toriko back when they were at the Otherside." She ended.
Zoro later begins explaining to Kanazawa about the Unity Force and the existence of several worlds, as well as the multiverse. She goes into additionally explaining about the goals of the organisation, including saving the world from any threat it comes into.
"Unity Force, huh?" Kozakura asked. "And you're saying you're looking for Chito and Yuuri?" She added.
"That's exactly correct, Kozakura-san." Zoro added. "And we're heading to the temple, according to this Kanazawa guy we just met earlier." He added.
"I see." Kozakura said. "I know where this temple is, since I saw those two girls heading inside there earlier." She added.
"And you know where they're heading now?" Maya questioned.
"At that temple." Kozakura responded.
"We should head there." Sayo said.
"And uh..." Zoro said. "Do you know about these Burning Legion demons?" She added.
"Speaking of that, we just encountered those earlier." Jima said.
"Come with us at the temple." Kozakura said. "I'll explain it more to all of you there." She added.
"This place is like the Otherside, but no one is to be seen." Sorao commented.
And with that, the ragtag Unity Force group, Aloy, Erend, Shuka, Jima, Saw Monster, and Kozakura later continue their way into the said temple that Kanazawa told the Unity Force earlier.

On the next chapter of UF Missions: Girls' Last Tour: With the help of Kozakura, Jima, and the Saw Monster, as well as some brief assistance from Kanazawa, the Unity Force, Aloy, Erend, and Shuka later continue their plan of locating Chito, Yuuri, Garara, and now Falala. But their earnest and determined efforts are later put to the test...
