Isle of the Lost, a cruel, unforgiving place where the villains and their sidekicks were chucked to be forgotten as they wasted away into nothingness in the most disgusting conditions, barely livable as it is.

Some of the people that resided here belonged.

Maleficent, for example. While her trying to kill the princess and turn into a dragon and raze the city to the ground is a little extreme for not getting invited to a party, she deserved to be here, more than most.

He, however, did not.

He was raised by a brute of a man when his parents died, a little messed up in the head, or so he was constantly told by the great Gaston.

Who could ever argue with him?

He was a useless human who's only purpose was to follow Gaston everywhere. He was happy to do so even.

Until they got locked up on this horrid Island and he was ditched as Gaston followed every beautiful lady down the streets full of piss and bile.

LeFou was left to fend for himself and learn, without being told what to do all the time, who he was.

It lead him to some discoveries.

He wasn't a bad guy.

He had done nothing wrong.

Why was he here among these awful, godforsaken villains with massive tentacles and cruel attitudes towards everyone?

He was kind. He was loving. He cared too much for everyone.

He didn't try to kill the Beast. He was nowhere near the mob until after the fight when he'd realized what had been going on and rushed in to save them after escaping the broom closet that Gaston would lock him in on occasion.

He tried to warn Gaston over and over that Belle didn't want him, that there were plenty of other ladies, and men, that would gladly fall for him and do anything for him. Gaston wouldn't listen and LeFou had nowhere else to go.

He didn't deserve to be among the wretched.

He'd done nothing wrong.

So why did they force him onto this cursed Isle full of disease and horror where no one was safe from harm and where he was all alone?

Why had Belle never seen his innocence when she could so easily trust a Beast?

He didn't deserve this and it was very cruel, he thought, as he stared out into the sea, across it to the grand old castle and the limo driving over the bridge to take more children over to Auradon.

They deserved to be free, but so did he, and he couldn't help but resent them a little.

Tears fill his eyes as he watches them take away the daughter of Lady Tremaine, the twins and one of Dr. Facilier's children.

"LeFou," a man, one who looked like a much older version of the little tea cup (had it really been that long), asked, stepping in front of him, waving a hand.

LeFou merely nods.

"Belle specifically requested your leave from the island, apologizing for ever having put you here in the first place."

LeFou blinked, unsure if he was hearing things right.

"You're free."

LeFou cried, eternally grateful for the kind woman and her beautiful heart.

He didn't belong here on this wretched island.

But at least they knew that too.
