THE BEGINNING

Before there was light, there were angels. One moment, darkness. The next, heaven was bright with glorious beings. It was perfect.

It did not last.

Lucifer revolted against god. A line was drawn in paradise. A war began. Every angel was forced to choose: the holiness of heaven or the chaos that roiled outside.

One angel refused, believing the only thing worth fighting for was a force we now call love. Cast out of heaven, this angel did not fall alone. Every angel who had yet to choose fell in a flash of almighty fury.

These are the fallen.

Exiled from heaven, they wander the earth, banished until the rebel angel abandons love and takes a side.

That was then, this is now.

Marcella Price has always been a little bit too, well, everything. Too hyper. Too impulsive. Too sad. Too happy. Too loud. Too quiet. Too aggressive. Too protective. You name it, she was too much of it.

So when her sister Lucinda is forced to attend Sword & Cross Academy under need for psychiatric observation, Marcella decides it's time to put her Too Much-ness to good use.

After all, what kind of big sister would she be if she didn't have her sister's back in a school for nut jobs and delinquents?

And, well, if she happens to meet her soulmate while she's there? That's just the cherry on top.

A/N: I am well aware this movie is objectively terrible (I have not read the books yet so I can't speak on that; book and/or movie fans please don't yell at me, you have to admit the movie isn't the greatest). However, as a film major I find a particular kind of joy in watching bad movies to make me feel alive. My ADHD brain has decided that this movie is my new hyperfixation for the next however many days/weeks/months it lasts, which is quite poor timing considering finals are, like, right now. Will I actually write this? Who knows, maybe the Adderall will actually work. Will I enjoy the ride? Absolutely. For anyone who wants to follow along on this train wreck, welcome aboard.
