When his beloved daughter Catelyn had written to him about the situation in Harrenhal and he almost had a heart-attack when he found out that his daughter had been put into the dungeons for witch-craft and trying to harm princess Elia. He had wanted to ride down there but he stopped himself and he was prepared to lose his second daughter. He prayed to the gods and it seemed that they had answered his prayers.

Hoster Tully was relieved to see his daughter alive as she stepped out of the carriage with his beloved daughter Catelyn and heir Edmure. The news about wildfire not having harmed his daughter had at first shocked him but then made him relieved by it all. Still he was unsure how to treat her afterwards. Some saw her as a witch and others as someone protected by the gods. Hoster himself knew that he would need to marry her away as soon as possible before the rumors became too widespread. Because it was most likely that the sept would declare her as a witch.

The other matter that had worried him was that his daughter had indirectly killed the previous king Aerys Targaryen but it seemed that Rhaegar was more than willing to forgive his daughter. In fact, Hoster knew that his daughter had done Rhaegar a favour. He knew about Rhaegar's ambitions, hence why he had personally stayed away from Harrenhal. He didn't want to end up accused of treason if Aerys began suspecting anything or anyone. Now that Aerys was gone he could see the opportunities with the newly proclaimed king Rhaegar.

Life was going well for the moment. Peace to the seven realms. His eldest daughter was going to be the wife of a future Paramount Lord. He had an heir. The only one at the moment who was not fitting into his plans was Lysa but she would, she would have too. Each day it was becoming increasingly more difficult to find her a husband as everyone in the nobility had heard about her incident in Harrenhal. Rumors spread fast and wide especially with gossiping servants and nobles. The only man willing to take her hand at this moment was Lord Arryn. Sure, he was old and he was a widow twice. But it was either him or lesser nobles and Hoster wasn't going to choose the latter. The three northern realms would be tied together just like a dream he once had.

When he announced to his daughter about her engagement with Lord Jon Arryn his second daughter simply nodded. She didn't even complain about being engaged to a man older than her father. Then again what choice would she have? No one else wanted her because she was a witch in the eyes of everyone.

"Lysa, are you sure you can do it? Marry Lord Arryn?" Catelyn took her sister's hand gently and squeezed it.

"What other choice is there, Cat? I've shamed our family twice. Marrying Lord Arryn is a blessing in disguise. Father is kind to me." Lysa answered with a mature attitude.

"Lysa you can't be serious to let me have a brother-in-law who is even older than our father!" Edmure complained.

"Why are you two so against this marriage? It's not you who is going to marry him." She laughed. "Besides, the man is really nice. He visited me while I was in the dungeons and he gave me hope. He is a very sweet and honorable man. I couldn't be happier to be matched with him." Lysa honestly was happy. Jon Arryn was a perfect husband for her. Maybe not in terms of physical age gap but he didn't lack in other areas she cared about.

The three siblings walked past the courtyard where a duel at the moment was happening, or not really a duel.

"Brandon!" Catelyn ran to stop her betrothed from hitting the limp body on the ground.

"What is going on?" Catelyn ordered a servant to take Petyr to the Maester.

Brandon was silent. Lysa was surprised that Brandon would be silent about this but it was probably because he cared about Cat and her feelings.

"Why did you harm, Petyr?" She was screaming at Brandon.

"Cat, stop." Lysa interfered. "Brandon can't tell you because he knows that you care about honour and he cares about you."

Brandon turned towards Lysa.

"Let me guess." Lysa sighed. "Petyr challenged you to a duel where the winner gets Catelyn. He probably also sent insults towards you regarding your family and how you're not worthy of Cat. Then he probably also told you about how intimate Cat and he used to be."

"All of it is true. He insulted my heritage, my sister and also my betrothed. I wasn't going to let him off so easily."

"No that can't be true. Petyr would never do anything like that!" Cat was still defending Petyr.

Lysa couldn't help but sigh.

"Of course, because Petyr is like a little brother to you, Cat? GROW UP CATELYN TULLY!" Her yell even seemed to have frightened Brandon. "Petyr has always loved you as a woman. Did you know? He is saving his virginity for you because he is so sure that he will have you in the end."

Brandon showed a disgusted face and he probably wished that he had beaten Petyr up even more.

"No, you are both lying!"

"And why would I lie to you Cat?"

"Petyr said that it was because you liked him that you might be jealous of me so you might say bad things about him."

"I like him? Hah! Cat, I have better taste than that. Don't you see what he is trying to do? He is trying to turn you against me, your sister. Don't fall for his schemes."

"Yes, he is a manipulative little twat!" Edmure agreed.

"No, it can't be true. If it was... then why haven't you two said anything?" Catelyn glared at her siblings who only rolled their eyes.

"We tried several times but you wouldn't listen and eventually both of us gave up and hoped that Petyr screwed up enough, like a few moments ago, so that Father would send him to the wall or something." Edmure explained.

"Thank you Brandon for giving us the opportunity of finally getting rid of Baelish." Lysa bowed thankfully to him.

"No, it was all my pleasure. To think that someone like him was near my Cat for so long." Brandon hugged Cat by her waist.

Catelyn was very stubborn and it would take a long while before she finally understood how disgusting Petyr Baelish was.

As soon as Petyr recovered enough he would be banished from ever coming to Riverrun ever again. He was sent home to The Vale at his humble abode at Little Fingers.

At the same time while Baelish was being sent home, Lysa Tully would join the party. Edmure was reluctant to part from her. It had also been the two of them against the world. She would miss the little bugger.

Lysa Tully was definitely not her father's favorite, because if she was her father would have sent more men to protect her and yet it was only Sam, her maids, and twelve other knights that came along the trip. Hence why she didn't ride in a carriage as she knew that it would slow them down and increase the danger of them being robbed by bandits. Given the Freys notorious reputation she wouldn't take the chance. She also didn't trust Baelish to stay as good and nice as he was currently doing.

The faster they arrived at The Eyrie the better.
