Gone Missing: Going out afterwards

By: Love Seth

I had to take a bit out of this chapter... amaziningly it still isn't my shortest chapter.
"Harry, you haven't talked for a long time," James said, as they were driving down the road. Harry hadn't said a word since the doctors. He had taken a potion for his face and his stomach, but he didn't really care too much about that anymore.

"Nice of you to notice," Harry thought.

"Do you want to go get your new stuff? Go to eat? Anything?" James asked.

Harry didn't know. He didn't think he did, but getting a moped and everything else just might help... a little- hardly, though. And it would just be one of those 'be happy for the moment' deals.

Harry didn't protest as James took the highway towards Mall of America instead of home.

"You haven't been to this mall since... a long time," James said.

"I don't care. I don't care about anything anymore." Harry thought, even though he knew it wasn't true.

"This is nice, wow, look at this speed. It is beautiful Harry, do you want it?" James asked.

They were standing in a Muggle Sports shop. It had all kinds of things; James was nicely to point out there was no Quidditch.

"What is the point of these sports! I mean... they do sort of help you out in Quidditch, but still!" James said.

He was trying to get Harry to smile. But Harry refused, he really actually did want to smile, wanted to be happy. But he guessed you couldn't have everything you want in life.

Harry went over closer to James to check out the displayed moped. It was an awesome yellow color with the navy blue words. The seat was even navy blue. It was the coolest thing. Harry secretly couldn't wait to get on that thing.

"Oh wow and look it's on sale for $200! Lucky us!" James said.

Once they bought it they asked James if they needed help carrying it out the their car. James said no, and Harry and him walked to the handicapped bathroom nearby.

Harry didn't pay much attention to what James was doing. He stood; looking around at everything there was to see.

People of all ages were everywhere, shopping all the variety of stores. The mall had its name because it looked similar to the mall in America. It had four floors, all open and if you went into the center of the top floor you could look over the rail and see all the way to the first.

In the center of the Mall was called, "Camp Snoopy". The ceiling went up at least 250 ft. The whole ceiling was also little windows. And you could hear the echo of the screams from people as they rode the roller coaster or the Mighty Axe.

"Harry, come in here with me," James said.

Harry turned to look at James in the bathroom doorway, once James had got the moped in there he wanted Harry to come in too.

Harry turned back to continue his search among all the wonderful things to look at to keep his mind off his crotch, and his sadness building up inside him.

"Harry James," James said sternly, keeping his eyes on Harry at all times.

Harry sighed angrily and turned to go to where his father was.

"Thank you." James said.

James bought Harry a ton of new stuff, a skateboard, and a helmet for it, new clothes and a few movies.

"You sure you don't want this TV?" James asked. Harry shook his head. He had a big TV in his room already.

"Now, we should go to Diagon Alley and get you some new Quidditch stuff then we can prac-" but James stopped himself.
Harry looked to the ground and moved the bag handle in his hand so it wasn't jabbing into his skin anymore.

"Look, we can still get stuff," James said, referring to the Quidditch store.

"No, I don't feel good. I want to go home," Harry said his first words since the doctors.

The sun was already set and people were starting to leave the mall.

"Jeez, now I know what your mother means. Go into a mall and you lose track of time." James said, "are you sure you don't want to?"

Harry nodded and watched his feet as they walked out
