Chapter Two: Lollipop
"So. Whaddya name it?"
We were sitting with our heads on the table, peering into the glass bowl in which the little goldfish was swimming.
"I dunno. What about Goldie?"
Greg gave me what I guess was supposed to be a withering look, but since he was across the table from me, his face was just a blurry outline through the glass and water.
"Wow. Way to be imaginative, Sara."
"Fine. You think of one then." I retorted, a little mad.
"Okay. Lollipop." Greg said confidently.
There was a moment of silence, then I burst out laughing.
"Lollipop? Where the hell did Lollipop come from?" I gasped out, still cracking up.
"Shut up!" Greg whined, causing me to giggle even more. "S'not funny! It's a good name, and you know it!"
After I had calmed down a little, I told Greg that the fish could remain Lollipop, only because the name Goldie sucked.
"Told you." Greg grinned at me.
