Gone Missing: Your Fault
By: Love Seth
Days passed and Harry barely left his room. Without even realizing it, Harry had company in his room during the night. His quivers and nightmares made Seth feel bad, so every night the 13-year-old would dab his big-brother's forehead with a cold wash cloth.
"Seth, come here," James said one night at dinner. Harry was still sleeping, his fever was still broke out and a rash had formed.
James walked over to the living room and stood against a wall, making Seth come and stand in front of him. He looked hard in his younger son's face.
"What's going on?" James asked with a quiet 'in-door' voice.
"What do you mean?" Seth asked.
"You know what I mean," James said, frowning slightly.
Seth looked away, towards the TV where a bunch of school books lay from when Lily and Mikala had gone shopping at Diagon Alley.
"Come on Seth, you can tell me. Are you worried about your brother?" James asked.
He and Lily had noticed how Seth spent all his time either doing something for Harry or just spending time with him. It came across Lily's mind that maybe Seth thought Harry was dying.
"Wasn't he supposed to be healed by now?" Seth asked suddenly, looking back up at his father.
James paused before speaking, "Well, yeah. But they want to give it a week before re-checking him. His appointment is Monday. I'm sure he's fine. The doctor didn't give me any reason to worry,"
"But it's only Friday! What about school? Isn't he going back to school in a week?" Seth asked.
James narrowed his eyes and his mouth opened slightly. He gripped Seth's shoulder, "Whoa, calm down. He'll go back to school when he feels up to it. You know him. If he doesn't get back on the 1st he'll be wanting to be there the 2nd!" James said.
Seth didn't look convinced and James could see Lily peaking in from the kitchen table where her and Mikala sat eating their meal.
"Just forget it," Seth said, turning.
"Seth!" James said, going for his arm but Seth had already took off down the stairs to his bedroom.
A moment later Sirius walked in the front door. In his arms was his three-year-old daughter, Ashley. She looked just like her mother, Jenny, though. Dark blonde hair and curled ends. Nobody would of guessed she belonged to Sirius.
"SIRIUS!" Mikala shouted, going over and hugging him in the door way. Sirius laughed at her and handed Ashley over to her.
"Hey, Mikala. Could you watch Ashley for me while I talked to your parents?" Sirius asked.
"Sure," Mikala said, smiling widely.
Down in the den
"Now it's just not Harry we are dealing with but it's Seth," James said.
"Seth?" Sirius asked, obviously confused.
"Seth. He's been clinging to Harry- which is fine- but we're worried something is seriously bothering him. He acts like Harry is dying. Last night I was up late finishing papers when I heard Harry's yells.
We do every so often and usually go down to his room- but recently Seth has taken over and ... something just seems out of wack," Lily said, sitting on the large black chair behind James's desk.
"Should we ask Professor Dumbledore?" Sirius asked.
"No. I don't think that's needed. But he got all upset with me when I confronted him about it just before you walked in the door," James said.
Sirius shook his shoulders, dumbfounded.
"Well- anyways, how's things looking at the office? Any leads on the disappearance of that woman?" James asked after a pause.
He and Sirius got into a long conversation about it. Lily left before they reached the verdict.
Later that night James sat at his desk flipping through some papers. Seth and Harry both kept entering and re-entering his mind. He wondered if Mikala was next to be pulled into the pool of worry and pain.
"Nah, she's too young. Not as close as Harry and Seth," James thought.
Harry's room
"Hiya Potter! Want to die? Die! I think you do. You'd better move Potter boy. Move your family too. Cause I'm coming. Coming I tell you."
Harry opened his eyes and yelled bloody murder into the night. Lashing out he whipped himself out of bed and over to the door, fumbling with it. He managed to get a light on and open his door.
"DAD! MUM!" Harry shouted, collapsing to the family room floor.
"Harry!" James shouted, opening his door after he'd heard Harry.
"D-Dad. W-e g-got to get out," Harry stumbled over his own words.
James went over to his son and took his arm. Harry was on his hands and knees on the floor, spitting because his mouth was full of spit because it bothered him to try and swallow.
"What?" James asked, hunching over.
Harry looked up at him with horror-struck eyes. Scaring James.
"What are you talking about, Harry?" James asked, now sitting because Harry had laid down flat on his back to level his body out.
"What's going on?"
James looked up and saw Seth coming over in just a pair of navy blue wind pants.
"Go back to bed. Harry's fine. Just had a nightmare,"
"NO!" Harry shouted, pulling away from James.
"You have to take Mum, Seth and Mikala and HIDE! Please? Just go!" Harry yelled.
James stared at Harry, his, Harry's, breathing had turned so hard you could hear it all the way up the stairs.
"He's going to kill you!" Harry said after the pause.
"Harry- wait a minute. You were only dreaming! Nobody's coming," James said as calmly as he could. Harry was nearly over the edge and the only thing on James's mind was to get him calm.
"No! We have to go!" Harry yelled, trying to get up now.
James held him back down, which was a mistake. Harry lashed out again and whipped his hand backwards so James was forced to let go. He was screaming at the top of his lungs and made his way over to the stairs and began going up them at his own slow pace.
"Harry! Stop this! You're acting mad," James said before he could stop himself.
"I'm not MAD! You are for keeping us in this house!" Harry shouted, continuing his hard journey up the stairs.
"Harry, come back down here!" James shouted.
Seth followed quietly behind his father and brother. Harry was taking one step at a time and it seemed like it took him half a minute at least just to get up one stair.
Seth could tell his dad didn't know what to do. At times it looked like James was going to grab onto Harry and hug him and others it looked like he was ready to back away and never touch him again.
"Harry, please-" James said as Harry limped over to the other stairs and started up those ones as well. James realized Harry was going up to the top floor to get Lily.
"MUM!" Harry shouted.
"Harry! Come here," James said, taking Harry around the waist and pulling him back. Harry of course didn't want to be touched and started hitting James.
"Relax buddy!" James shouted, getting him to the main level and pulling him down to the floor. James had Harry's sides pinned down.
"MUM! MUM!" Harry yelled, but then he saw Seth there, "Seth! Get out! Save yourself and Mikala! Take her and go! Hide anywhere!" Harry shouted.
"How do you know if anybody is coming?" James asked.
"Because I just do! I KNOW!" Harry screaming.
A moment passed and Lily appeared at the top of the stairs. She had apparently heard Harry and went to see what was going on. She didn't seem surprised when she saw James holding Harry down and Harry talking rash.
"Harry, listen to me, nobody is coming!" James said.
"Yes there-" Harry began but stopped dead sentence, his face suddenly paling and he was staring at something behind Seth.
"What-?" Seth asked, looking behind himself but seeing nothing out of the ordinary.
Harry couldn't breathe. Maybe he was going crazy, because right there in front of him was Cedric. But Cedric had died... he had died! Why was he standing there?
"Harry?" Lily asked, watching her son's face and eye movement.
"You killed me, Harry." Cedric said.
Harry stayed completely still. James's arms still pinning down his own. His worst nightmare was Cedric blaming him. Harry knew it was his, Harry's, fault but didn't enjoy Cedric telling him so.
"Harry breathe!" James shouted, suddenly shaking Harry.
Harry started feeling dizzy. His mind going black and in peace. Before he knew it he had passed out leaning against his dad. The last thing he heard was, "It was your fault."
