Shortly after Wanda's death, Ralph asks Agatha what the next phase of her plan is.

"I will expand the Hex to wrap around the Earth. There will always be pitchforks for me. I will not let that happen. Once they are all under my control, then I will rest."

"Not exactly." a voice says from the darkness. Captain Marvel heroically flies in. Fitted by S.W.O.R.D with gear that protects her from the Hex, she is ready to fight. Ralph blocks a shot from Carol but then gets his necklace yanked off.

"Where am I?" Ralph asks. He was under Agatha's control the whole time. He was not doing anything of his own volition. Carol tells Ralph to flee. He tries to outrun the Hex, but it eventually fills up the entire Western Hemisphere. Agatha says "Pretty girl, you have no chance to defeat me. Wanda was the original creator of this place, and her body is right there."

"You did what?" A furious Vision flies into the house and attacks Agatha furiously. The duo is ferociously attacking Agatha and she is helpless. Agatha then tries to crush Captain Marvel by collapsing the house. Captain Marvel flies out of the collapsing house as Vision tries to hold Agatha back. "Go! I'll deal with her!" He screams to Carol as she flies away. Vision shoots his laser at Agatha trying to pin her back, determined that both of them will die. Agatha then teleports as the rubble crushes Vision and kills him. As he dies, he smiles, knowing he's reunited with Wanda. Captain Marvel looks back. "All in a day's work. Now how do I fix this? Is Doctor Str-" She can't speak as she notices the Hex is still moving at a rapid pace.
"You really think I'd go down that easy? Vision's dead. Now it's time for you to die."
Agatha charges a beam of purple at Carol, who uses her orange photon blasts to counter it. The damage cracks a bunch of Westview's buildings, only for Agatha to use her powers to stop the damage. "Whoops, can't have that happening." A blue light hits her in the chest. "I was told you need assistance, Carol Danvers." White Vision enters the fight and says "Who is the target"

Carol says "Calls herself Agatha Harkness. Killed Wanda and Vision, but she has no intention of taking down the Hex. Has spread the Hex throughout the Northern Hemisphere. We need to take her out."

"Set aim to stun." White Vision says before stunning Agatha. "Set aim to ki-". Agatha wakes up. "How do you think I went under Wanda's radar all this time? It's called acting. I wasn't stunned." She ropes White Vision around her neck and crashes him into the ground repeatedly. White Vision is executed upon impact. Agatha then uses the rubble to form a ball to use to throw at Carol, who then slices the ball in half with photon blasts. She then finds a piece of metal shrapnel to use on Agatha and stabs her in the chest.

"UGGGGH!" Agatha slumps. After registering what's happening, Agatha laughs. "Congratulations, you screwed up." She uses her magic to show that the Hex has now covered the entire Earth. Carol then says "What's so bothersome? You're dying. As soon as you succumb, the hex will break."

"Ha!" That's not what's gonna happen. Only a witch can remove the Hex. Now that I'm dying, the inhabitants of this planet are gonna go catatonic."

"Then fix this before you die!"

Agatha says "Oh no. You were reckless. This is what you get."

Agatha laughs wildly before finally passing away.

"NOOOOO!" Carol screams. She sees the Hex is not being destroyed and realizes Agatha was right. She flies away and leaves the Earth sobbing. She goes to a planet, scarred for life. A-one-in-8-billion ended up causing the other 8 billion to go on a fate worse than death.

As Captain Marvel looks on to the chaos, she can only say one thing: "I'm sorry Monica."
