Chapter 5:
Many years ago. Humanity went through an evolution. The first recorded cases of super powered individuals were reported. Then all across the world, powers became more common. We began calling these strange powers, quirks. Then, like wildfire, they spread through the entire world. Now it's believed that almost 90% of the world's population has some kind of quirk. Almost overnight, the supernatural became the totally normal. However, there remained a few who were born without a quirk, called the quirkless. I would know about them because I used to be one of them.
My name is Izuku Midoriya, and this is how I became the world's greatest hero. But you already know that story. You know about how I inherited the quirk One for All from my idol, All Might. You know how I went to UA to train to become a hero, and how I became the number one hero in the world. However, in life, you never know what your future may hold so this is not the story of how I became the world's greatest hero. Instead, this is the story of how a new generation became something greater.
My Hero Academia Next Generation: New Heroes:
Deku's POV:
"So, what is this, the fourth broken engagement Icy Hot?" I laughed at hearing Kachan's words as he condescendingly spoke to our friend, Shouto. The normally stoic man remained unflinching in the face of this mockery, while I just kept giggling.
"Third! That model from America doesn't count!" Shouto corrected my childhood friend, as he just looked around the empty restaurant and continued to eat from his plate. The three of us liked to have dinners like this very often. Just the three of us and a completely bought out restaurant. Y'know normal hero stuff.
"Oh, my deepest apologies Mr. Playboy." I continued to laugh at Kachan's mocking words, struggling to not choke on the food I was swallowing. Shouto just rolled his eyes, too used to Kachan's cartoonish actions.
"Yeah, yeah laugh it up you two." He told us as we gladly followed his orders. "Some of us can't find love as easily as you!"
We couldn't deny what he was saying. I'd gotten so lucky at meeting the love of my life when I was fifteen, and Kachan found his not long after that in Camie. Shouto had never been the best when it came to relationships. Seeming to be engaged every week. Some of us even thought he used it as a PR stunt to try and drum up more attention and snag the number one spot. Still, thinking about my old high school love life, one question came to mind.
"What about Momo?"
Shouto immediately started coughing as he choked on the food he was eating. After spiting it out into his napkin and wiping his face, Shouto was finally able to speak.
"W-what about Ms. Yaoyorazu?" He asked back to me, but I wasn't buying it.
"Please! We all know you two dated our last year of school!" I told him as Kachan, and I laughed at hearing the normal stoic man act flustered. "Besides, you liked her way before that!"
"While it is true that Creati has several qualities that are-" Shouto would have continued but my childhood friend felt the need to interrupt him.
"Come on! This is just getting sad icy hot!" Bakugou told our friend as Shouto let out a hefty sigh and allowed all the stoic tension to drain from his body.
"What happened to you two?" I asked him as it seemed he would be more open to discussing his old relationship. "Everyone always thought you two were perfect."
"I don't know." It seemed like such a simple response, but I could tell he was going to elaborate further.
"We just… We just couldn't… Work. We were too busy. I needed to pull ahead to prove my father wrong. She needed to work hard for her family, and it's like there was nothing left. The time we spent together was so staggered that it hardly felt real. Then one night, we had dinner, and we just sat in silence. There were no words. It eventually led to a fight. And that was it. We went our separate ways."
We were all taken by surprise from his profound words. Shouto has always been the strong silent type, never one to talk about his feelings. However, I could tell that was something he needed to get off his chest.
"You should call her." Kachan told our friend, and I wasn't quite sure if that's really what needed to be said right now.
"I don't know." Shouto sounded unassured and I was just about to try and change the topic.
"What's there not to know! You two are perfect for each other!" Kachan spoke with his typical aggressive tone, but we could tell his words were coming from a place of love, and there was a hint of truth. "Stop dating the floozies and call Momo."
Shouto just put his face in his hands and groaned loudly. "Can we please talk about something else."
We just shrugged and decided to change the topic.
"Oh, I've got a funny story." Kachan told us and I perked up at this. He always got into the craziest of situations. So, I wanted to hear whatever he got himself into.
"So, I crossed through Shibuya to get here." He explained as we all knew the path, he took to get here from the Ground Zero agency.
"As I was passing by, I saw this group of gang members." Shouto and I both let out a quiet "Ohh", fully understanding what Kachan would do.
"The weirdest part was there was this little blonde teenage girl in the middle of them." I thought nothing much of this, until.
"But the weirdest part was that this girl had no quirk." My eyes perked up at hearing this.
"Blonde teenage, quirkless girl?" I asked Kachan, silently putting the pieces together.
"Yeah, she was in the middle of this group of gangsters. Trying to fight all of them off!" Kachan and Shouto both started laughing but I remained still as I prayed my thoughts were wrong.
"I eventually took them down and we had a calm rational conversation about her actions…"
"You yelled at her?" We all burst out laughing at Shouto's comment.
"Yeah, yeah pretty bad." Kachan squeaked out between chuckles.
"Did you… Did you get a name?" I was hesitant to ask this question because I really didn't want to hear his answer.
"Haha, yeah she said her name was Beyoncé. Guess she didn't quite trust me."
"Jeez, I wonder why?" Shouto let out another joke which we all laughed at.
"Craziest part was she said she wanted to go to UA." After hearing this part of Kachan's story, I was certain this girl was Hana Izumi.
"A quirkless girl?" Shouto asked my childhood friend even though he knew the answer.
"Yeah, but as I told her, crazier things have happened." With that, Kachan looked right at me and we both just smiled. Life sure does work in mysterious ways.
Elsewhere:
Hana's POV:
"COME ON!" I growled out as I tried once more, in vain, to move the final piece of junk in this godforsaken warehouse that had turned into my own training room, an old truck. I'd been trying ever since I'd started my training to move this truck, to no success.
"MOVE!" I yelled again, hoping it would somehow listen as I tugged on the chains wrapped around the front of the vehicle and my chest. I felt my legs burning and my entire body felt like it was being dipped in lava.
It felt so stupid, the wheels wouldn't roll. So why was I doing this… It's impossible. However, that's not what a hero thinks. A hero always wins. A hero can always break through in a tough spot. A hero always finds a way for justice to be served, and if I couldn't even move a stupid wrecked truck. How could I call myself a hero?
"I AM… A HERO!" I yelled out between grunts as I continued to pull and pull with all my might. I could practically see smoke coming off my sneakers from the friction of my feet against the cement. "MOVE! DAMNIT!"
Pulling together all that was left of my strength I continued to pull, I continued to fight.
"CREEEAK!" Hearing the noticeable sound of cement breaking was like music to my ears. Even so, I never let up for a second as I kept tugging at the chains, and I felt my feet begin to carry me forward.
"AHHHH!" I yelled out as the cement continued to be pulled up by the grinding rims of the metal wheels of the truck. Slowly picking up speed, I could see the end of the warehouse in sight.
"COME ON HANA!" I yelled at myself as I felt my legs turn to jelly and the rest of my body almost give in, almost. But I kept pushing myself, and eventually I made it to the end of the line.
"Uhhhh!" I collapsed on to the cold floor as I let my sweat covered body rest. I was eventually able to roll over and looked up at the gate to the loading dock, finally filled with the last piece of junk.
The entire ground was changed. There was a clear trail being led from where the truck had been parked and where I had moved it. The metallic wheels cutting through cement, leading to two lines being carved into the floor.
Continuing to pant, I lay back down and decided to close my eyes for a second, and that was the last thing I remembered before falling unconscious.
The Next Day:
Deku's POV:
Today was the big day! Well, not for me, but for young Hana Izumi. It'd been an absolute privilege to watch my young successor to grow from a scared little thief to a true hero. Though some might expect me to be angry about her decision to pick a fight with a couple gangsters, and I most certainly would have some words to say about that. However, acting before thought, and thinking only with the heart would always be the mark of a true hero.
So, in spite of its stupidity, her choice in that moment proved to me that she was a hero. It's almost as stupid as trying to fight off a sludge monster just to save your childhood bully… Almost.
Brushing off old memories, I walked back into the old warehouse, or Hana's personal training room. I'll admit it, it felt so good to be on this side of the training process. However, that time had past and now Hana was ready, the only question left, was i.
"Whenever, you feel scared or worried. Try and deal with it by smiling!" I remember my old mentor, All Might's words. Slapping on my signature ear to ear smile, I took my final step out into the old building, ready to change this young girl's life. However, what I found surprised me.
There, right on the loading dock of the warehouse, was my successor, Hana Izumi. She was sleeping and looked comfortable despite the harsh ground she was laying on. Next to her was the object of much of her hatred, that old truck. Based on the long lines carved into the cement leading to the vehicle, it seemed as though she'd finally done it.
All I could do was lightly smile at this girl, at my girl.
"Hey, wakey wakey!" I joked as I casually kicked the sleeping girl. She stirred for a moment until she began to open her eyes and take a great big yawn. Next, she looked up to me and when our eyes met her face instantly turned red.
"You know I got you a bed, right?" I told her matter of factly as she giggled shyly. "It would be plenty more comfortable."
"Yeah well! Comfortable was never really my style." She let out another yawn as she began to stand very slowly, still clearly sore.
"I could use a chiropractor though." Hana joked again as she got onto her feet and bent her back. After hearing a loud pop, she let out a groan and I knew that today was probably not the best day for what she was about to do, but there would never really be a good time to do this.
"So, young Hana Izumi!" I proclaimed in a demanding tone as she shook off her sleep and began to stand at attention.
"Today is the day you inherit my power! However, you must know this is not a simple task! Your last couple of months will feel like child's play compared to the power of One for All!"
One may think I was intending to frighten this young girl with my words. However, I was only trying to prepare her.
"This work will be harsh! It will be painful! You'll wish you were dead!"
"But if you've got enough nerve, enough strength, and enough patience! This power will grow to strengthen you!"
After the end of my little speech, I could see Hana shaking a little from the fear I had no doubt instilled in her.
"Hana. Are you ready?"
…
"Ready as I'll ever be."
With those words I reached down to put my hand on the girl's shoulder. There was so many things I wanted to say, so many things I could say. Things ranging from proudly and teary-eyed speeches, to seldom warnings. From hopeful optimism to quippy jokes. But words are just… words, and more often than not. What is left unsaid can be more impactful than what is. So instead of saying any words, I just reached up to my head, plucked off a single green hair and held it up to the girl.
"Eat this." I fought back a chuckle as I remembered this exact moment when All Might had given me One for All.
"W-what?" She stuttered asking me. Much like myself she was obviously confused about what I was asking her to do.
"Just eat this hair!"
"W-what! No that's so gross!"
"C'mon I can only pass my quirk on through DNA, so you have to ingest some of mine."
"What!"
"Just eat it! EAT IT!"
We awkwardly conversed for a moment, until I was finally able to get her to eat the strand of my hair and she bent over for a moment looking like she might barf.
"There! You okay?" I asked her as I remember having to swallow All Mights's hair, and it's not fun.
"Yeah, yeah I'll be fine." She told me as she got up and looked down at her arms as she clenched her hands and spun around multiple times to look at herself from different angles.
"I don't feel any different." Hana spoke in her signature confused tone and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Well, it takes some time to set in." I informed her hoping to silent her fears. Living your whole life as a normal person then being given the most powerful superpower in the world would give you a lot of whiplash. I would know.
"You shouldn't be worried about that." She looked up at me, her eyes basically asking the question "what should I be worried about?". So, I naturally answered her unspoken question.
"What you should be worried about, is the entrance exam." Reminding her of that was like telling her she had another truck to pull out of the cement.
"Which should be happening in… 15 minutes!" As I checked my watch, I hadn't realized how close we were cutting it. "We gotta go!"
Hana's POV:
I began to panic when Deku told me how little time we had till the entrance exam. Spinning around, and frantically trying to come up with some way to get there, I couldn't say anything until.
"Okay quick hop on my back!" He told me and I was confused for why he wanted me to do this. However, before I could ask, he answered another one of my nonexistent questions again.
"Just trust me!" I just shrugged and decided we didn't have the time to argue as I got onto the heroes back. He was big enough to easily hold onto me as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, and he grabbed my legs.
"Okay, make sure to close your mouth. You don't want to swallow a bug."
"Wait, why would I swallow a- Ahhhh!" My question was interrupted as Deku bent at the knees and shot up into the air.
"AHHHHHH!" as we continued to fly serval yards above the city area, I belted out a very loud scream as I was not prepared to take flight. I would have continued to scream, but I quickly felt something small but fast fly into my open mouth and go down my windpipe. I instantly remembered what Deku had told me about closing my mouth and regretted not heeding his advice.
After that little affair was done, I just shut my eyes and placed my head against his body. Shutting down until the air around me ceased to move so fast. Which eventually it did.
Climbing, or rather falling off my mentors back however did not help lift my spirits. Looking up at the man as he got up from a squatting position, likely having absorbed all the energy from the landing into his legs. He then turned around and upon seeing me laying on the ground looked worried.
"Uhh sorry about the fast exit!" Deku told me as he scratched the back of his head and looked embarrassed. As if this jumping halfway across Tokyo in one leap was somehow silly. He then offered me his hand and I was able to pull my self up, but I did stumble a little bit.
"No, no, it's fine. You gotta teach me that some day." We both laughed and I regained my footing and composed myself again.
"Well, I'll teach you that. Once you beat that." Deku pointed behind me and as I spun around on my heels, I obviously knew where he was pointing, but was no less nervous. It was the place where all my hard work was gonna be tested. The UA entrance exam hall.
A giant metal dome stood next to a building right in front of me. The building seemed tiny compared to the size of the dome. I could see several other prospective students making there way into the building to sign up for the entrance exam. A single concrete path leading to the office building that would decide my fate.
"Enough waiting." I thought as I took my first step towards the building. My first step towards being a hero.
"Wait!" Deku frantically told me as I stopped in my tracks.
"There is one last thing you need to know." I quirked my eyebrow at my mentor's words and what other lesson he could teach me.
"As I've said before, One for All is very strong." His tone became more hushed, like it always did when he spoke of his quirk.
"But it can also hurt you if you can't control it." He has told me this many times about needing to "control" One for All. The only problem. I had no idea how to do that.
"So, my advice, try and think of something building power, but still being contained." I thought about that for a moment, like a pressure vessel.
"Kinda like a-" Deku would have continued but I had an idea, and I felt the need to interrupt him.
"Like a bullet in a gun." He grew a little startled at what I said.
"Like the gun powder exploding and sending the bullet out the chamber." I explained to him, hoping I was understanding it. "But the gun not exploding."
"Yeah, yeah. I guess that works." My mentor scratched the back of his head again, a clear sign of humiliation.
"What were you gonna say?" I asked him as his face shifted from embarrassingly looking at the ground to slight fear.
"Ohh, nothing, nothing. It's not important" I giggled a little, remembering Deku's goofy habits. As much as I would love to know what made him so embarrassed, I decided to brush it off. Besides, I have a test to take.
"So, when you're out there. Your bloods pumping and your feeling scared. Always think about the bullet." His words stuck with me, "Always think about the bullet."
"So, you go in there." He reaches down to punch me in the shoulder with a force that easily would have knocked anyone else down. "And you knock em dead."
I nodded at his encouraging words as I spun around and happily ran down the cement covered path to the office of UA's entrance exam. However, before I made it too far, there was one thing I needed to do first.
"Hey!" I yelled back to my mentor who was trying to sneak away since it appeared some people were beginning to recognize him. He turned back to face me and awaited my words.
"Thank you!" I told him. This could be for so many things. For the home. For my sister. For the training. For the quirk. For the advice. Or just for me. But he seemed to understand as he gave me a thumbs up, and I nodded to him before he was preoccupied by some teenager likely asking for a picture or something.
With that, I turned around one final time and left Deku behind me as I walked through the grotto leading to the pillars of UA.
However, as proud as I felt, the looks I got did not reflect that. All the other students came freshly showered in their school uniforms or dress clothes or some even had hero suits that would no doubt give them an advantage. But me, I just had my leather jacket, ripped jeans, and stained t-shirt. Plus, I smelled of sweat, oil and grease, and an old junkyard. I was no doubt attracting some unwanted attention. So, I lightly grabbed my collar and pulled it up to my face trying to hide people from getting a good look at me.
"Wait, I have the most powerful quirk in the world." I thought to myself for a moment. Yeah, why should I feel embarrassed or nervous I was stronger than all these people. So, what if I didn't look fancy, or hadn't bathed in too many nights. I was still gonna be-
"Out of my way, Trash Queen!" I heard a feminine voice bark at me as someone pushed me causing me to stumble and fall on my bum. Looking back up, I saw the back of a blonde girl's head. Her hair tied in one braid and wearing a school uniform like the rest of the students.
"Hey!" I yelled out to the girl as she stopped and spun to face me. Her fiery red eyes and evenly applied makeup made her look very pretty yet also dangerous. The kind of girl that screamed "feminine fatal" or "black widow".
"What did you just call me!" I yelled at her as her glamours face gave me a cheeky grin.
"I called you Trash Queen." She remained unflinching as her grin only grew, showing off her perfectly white teeth. "Seemed appropriate?"
She laughed at me again looking me up and down, and for a moment, I weighed my options. The rage in my heart was building up so much that I so desperately wanted to punch this posh pretty girl in her perfect face. But then I remembered back to my fight with the wolf gang. I couldn't start a fight if I wasn't prepared to finish it.
"You gonna say anything, or just keep looking stupid?" The bully condescendingly asked me again as I clenched my fist. Much like before, I couldn't resist. However, as I pulled my fist back to break her perfect teeth. I felt my entire body get energized. It felt like lightning was coursing through my veins. I hesitated for a moment with my fist held back, and that was all the opening she needed.
Bam!
I suddenly felt my entire body flying through the air as well as a sharp pain in my cheek. With a crash, I found myself landing harshly into the bushes that ran along the path. Regaining my senses as I looked around for a second. The blonde girl was still standing in the same spot as before, only now her hand was in a fist and she had clearly been the one to throw a punch. Regaining her footing and looking back over to me, a few meters a way laying on the grass with a big black spot on my cheek.
"Hm, Chump." The girl spoke with such a pathetic tone I wanted to do something again, but she just turned around and began to walk back over to the entrance hall. That's when I saw the back of her sleeves, and right where her right elbow was, was a big hole in the sleeve. It looked like someone had blown a hole straight through.
Usagi Bakugou! Daughter of Kataski Bakugou and Camie Utsushimi! Her quirk: Rocket: much like her father, Usagi sweats a nitroglycerin like substance from her body that she can ignite to create explosions. However, her sweat only comes out of her back and when she ignites it the shockwave can propel her. Giving her super speed and agility. As well as being able to add more power and speed to her punches and kicks.
I reached up and touched the mark she had left on my face as I just sat on the grass feeling defeated.
"Hey! You need a hand?" I heard another female voice ask as I looked up to see another girl towering over me. She reached her hand out, looking like she wanted to help me up.
"Y-yeah, thanks." I told this new girl as she helped me up onto my feet and I finally got a good look at her. To say the girl looked odd would be an understatement. Her entire skin was a light purple color and she had two red horns coming out of her head. Speaking of her head, she had a long mane of albino white hair. When I say long, I mean long. The entire length seemed to go down to her heels. It was very frizzy at the ends but was also straight.
"Hey, you okay?" she asked snapping me out of my stupor. "I know I'm pretty, but you don't have to stare!"
Her cheeky tone could only be matched by the big smile she had adopted. Running a hand through her long hair, I could tell despite her strange appearance, she was still a cheerful person.
"Don't take it personally, Bakugoua like that to everyone." She told me as she gestured over to where the girl had punched me was.
"Bakugou… You mean like Ground Zero?" I began to put the names of the pro hero and the girl together.
"Yeah. Little miss number two hero is apparently too good for us." This purple girl spoke with such sarcasm that I could tell the two had a past.
"That's beside the point." She told me as she snapped herself out of her stupor. "I'm Kirishma, Katsumi Kirishma!"
The newly indentured girl stuck out her hand, which I promptly shook as we both just smiled. "I'm… Hana Izumi!"
I considered giving some fake name like I had before. But something told me I could trust this strange looking girl. As we shook hands, that's when I finally noticed that there were more people with her.
There were three boys all standing behind this girl, all looking radically different. To her right was a tall looking boy with spiky yellow hair. He also looked really handsome, I never had a crush growing up, but seeing this boy look right at me and smile made me instantly start blushing.
"Nice to meet you Hana." I grew even more nervous as the handsome boy stepped past his purple-colored friend to address me.
"The names Kaminari, Kano Kaminari." He stuck out his hand as he continued to smile at me, showing off his pure white teeth. I felt myself almost collapse when he looked down at me and winked. I felt so embarrassed that I just hastily shook his hand, hoping to not come across nervous.
ZZZZAAAPPPPP!
As soon as our hands started shaking, I felt all my senses go crazy. My ears started ringing, my vision was blurred, and I ended up falling on the ground after losing my balance. After, regaining my senses, I felt a sharp pain in my right hand. As I looked down at it, I saw there was a large black mark on it that stung when I touched it.
"HAHAHAHA" I looked up to see the handsome boy laughing very hard as Katsumi began punching him in the chest.
"Come on Kano! You really need to stop doing that!" She yelled at her "friend" as he just kept laughing.
"Ahh, c'mon Katsumi! That's my move! You've always loved it!" The blonde boy informed her as she just shook her head, having stopped punching him.
"Well, we're not in elementary school anymore! You can't just zap people!" She snapped back as they both finally started looking at me. "You could have hurt her!"
Kano seemed to be snapped out of his laughing frenzy for a moment as he looked down at me, and the mark on my hand.
"Ahh, hey sorry about that." Kano told me, sounding somewhat genuine as he rubbed the back of his head. "I just used my quirk on you."
He informed me, as he stuck up his hand to show me that electricity jumped across his fingers in a zig zag pattern, his entire hand was practically covered in lightning.
Kano Kaminari! Son of Denki Kaminari and Kyoka Jirou! His quirk: Complete Circuit! Kano's entire body acts as one giant electrical circuit. By activating his quirk, he can make the electricity jump across his extremities. Between his fingers, across his legs, even between his teeth. However, if he uses up too much energy, he'll fry his brain and he becomes a big idiot for a while.
"Anyway, next up we have Akhiko!" Katsumi cut in front of her friend to pull me away from the prankster. She gestured directly behind her to a tall looking boy with a blue baseball cap. This boy was dressed dirtily, instead of having a school suit he was wearing a black jacket and ripped jeans. He also had a small toothpick stuck in between his teeth.
"Akhiko Ojiro. Pleased to meet you." He introduced himself as he tipped his cap. It felt good to see someone dressed less formally.
"Nice to see someone came a little underdressed too." I told him as we both smiled.
"Fashion was… Never my strong suit." He dusted himself off as he gave me a chuckle making me smile.
"And finally, we have our resident bad boy!" Katsumi brought us to the last member of her group. When she said "bad boy" she meant it. Dressed all in black and having dark raven hair that went over his right eye. He was the spitting image of "emo" and his deadpanned unflinching face matched that.
"C'mon Yue! Smile!" Katsumi tried to excite her friend, but he just rolled his eye at the girls excited words.
"Ahhh, don't take it personally!" The purple girl tried to console me, but I wasn't fazed. "Mr. Todoroki here is like that to everyone."
"KIRISHIMA!" Yue finally piped up as his blank face shifted to anger. "Don't give my name out to strangers."
I was caught by surprise from the stoic boys' loud antics. However, I was able to put two and two together as I remembered that last name belonging to a pro hero.
"Todoroki… You mean like Shouto?" I asked him as I figured that meant he was related to the hero.
"Not… Not quite." He informed me as he looks saddened now, and when I turned to look at the rest of the group. They all looked at me like I'd said something wrong.
"Forget this!" Yue shouted as he stomped away from all of us, and I got the sense that I might of done something wrong.
"Was it something I said?" I asked Katsumi as everyone looked at the group and took a collective sigh.
"Yue's father… Was Touya Todoroki."
For some reason I recognized that name, but I couldn't put my finger on how. Picking up on this Katsumi elaborated further.
"You would know him as the villain Dabi."
That name I recognized, and the truth hit me like a ton of bricks. The dark aura, the stoic demeanor, it all made sense.
"A lot of people judge him for it. So, we try and just not bring it up…" I was informed as the entire mood had collectively been brought down.
"Ahh, I'm sorry." I didn't really know what else to say as I felt kinda embarrassed.
"It's okay you didn't know." Katsumi seemed to speak for the group as she easily forgave me.
"He has a… Rocky relationship with his uncle, Shouto. That tends to set him off too."
"But he'll get over it! Don't worry he'll be back to normal in no time!" Katsumi cheered herself up as she started smiling again. This cheered me up, but I couldn't help but feel like the bad boy's edges were only going to get sharper.
"Attention! Last call for all students! Last call for all students!" We all heard a voice proclaim over the loudspeaker. A clear call that we needed to hurry up.
"Looks like that's our signal!" Katsumi chirped out as her two remaining friends all got together and they started to walk over to the entrance hall.
"Oh, and Hana!" The purple girl referred to me as they turned around to address me. "I'll see you around!"
The simple goodbye felt nice as we both nodded to each other. Akhiko tipped his hat, and Kano winked at me again. When they were out of sight, I touched my right hand feeling that the pain had mostly gone away. Then I touched my cheek and realized it was starting to swell. No doubt it would cause a shiner. Still, I thought on all the people I had met.
"Katsumi, Kano, Akhiko, Yue." I whispered their names to myself and smiled, truly hoping to see them again. However, they weren't the only ones.
"Usagi…" Venom practically dripped from my lips as I said that blonde bitches name. I wanted to see her again to.
