Chapter One: War
"What is it Nanatwo?" Jane asks as she and Alexis hear Nanatwo barking.
"Looks like she found an old game of hopscotch." Alexis says in wolf form while looking at the game on the ground.
"We don't have time you silly dog. We have to get this home to Danny." Jane says gesturing to the package she is holding.
"Well let's get moving. Hop on." Alexis says as she lets Jane get on her back before she starts running with Nanatwo beside her.
*Timeskip*
"Jane, Alexis!" Wendy says in relief as Alexis, Jane, and Nanatwo run inside the bomb shelter panting.
"Alexis!" Danny shouts happily as he runs over and hugs Alexis.
"Oh girls! Where have you been? Why didn't you-" Wendy then gets cut off by Jane while hugging her and Alexis.
"Mother we're fine!" Jane says unworriedly.
"Yes Mrs. Darling. We're alright." Alexis says as she looks at Wendy.
"You made it past the pirates!" Danny shouts as he is hanging upside down from his bed.
"Daniel careful!" Jane says as she catches Danny.
"What's that? What's that? Hey! It's for me isn't it? Let me see! Let me see!" Danny shouts as he sees Alexis holding a package in her mouth.
"Alright. Happy birthday Daniel." Alexis says as she hands Danny the package before shifting to human form.
"Yippee! Socks. Two of 'em." Danny says unenthusiastic while holding the two socks.
"How very practical." Wendy says.
"Got them a size large so he can grow into them." Jane says proudly.
"Look Danny. Pan and Hook see? Curse you Peter Pan!" Wendy says as he begins telling Danny a story while Jane goes over to the radio as Alexis sits with Danny in wolf form as she curls around him.
"Ha! Slow down you old codfish!" Danny shouts as he knocks into Jane causing her to drop her notebook into Nanatwo's water bowl.
"Oh my notebook! Daniel!" Jane shouts angrily as she takes the notebook out of the water.
"Jane it was an accident." Alexis say as she looks at Jane.
"Come on girls! We'll beat old Captain Hook together!" Danny shouts happily.
"Daniel please! We've no time for fun and games." Jane says unamused.
"You used to." Danny says disappointedly.
"Come on Jane. One little game won't hurt. I for one think we could take that mean Captain Hook." Alexis says as she looks at Danny.
"You get to be the very first Lost Girls ever." Danny says annoyedly.
"That was a long time ago." Jane says.
"Yeah. Back when you were fun." Danny says grumpily as Jane smiles slightly while wiping her book off.
"Don't listen to her Danny. Let's just listen to Wendy's story for now." Alexis says as she and Danny go over to Wendy.
*Timeskip*
"Honestly Mother. I don't know why you fill his head with those silly stories." Jane says unamused while the group is walking towards the house before going inside.
"But they're not silly Jane. They're- Take care of Danny will you? Go on. I'll be right there." Wendy says as she hands Danny to Alexis as they hear knocking on the door before Alexis and Jane go upstairs with Danny and Nanatwo.
*Timeskip*
"Alexis why does Jane hate the Peter Pan stories and playing so much?" Danny asks as Alexis is sitting on his bed.
"She doesn't hate it Danny. She's just got a lot on her mind. That's all." Alexis says as she tucks Danny in.
"Could you stay with me? For a bit longer?" Danny asks as Alexis nods.
"Danny how about I sing you a lullaby? The one my mom used to sing to me when I was a pup." Alexis says.
"Will you?" Danny asks as Alexis smiles softly.
"Of course." Alexis says.

As soon as Alexis sees Danny is asleep she leaves the room before seeing Jane run into her room before going over to Wendy.
"Is she okay Mrs. Darling?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Yes Alexis dear. I had to tell her that you kids will be leaving in the morning on a train. You don't have a choice. You must go to be safe. Without me.." Wendy says with sadness in her voice.
"She didn't take it well.. Did she?" Alexis asks as Wendy shakes her head.
"No.. I'm afraid not." Wendy says.
"I'll go talk with her. I'll see if I can get her to be reasonable about it." Alexis says.
"Just don't tell Danny. I don't want him to know right yet." Wendy says as Alexis nods.
"Yes ma'am." Alexis says as she walks off and goes to Jane's door.
"Jane? I-" Alexis then stops talking as she sees Jane being put into a sack by some men before Alexis gets grabbed from behind and placed into a sack.
