Gone Missing: Fights

By: Love Seth

Hey everyone. Thanks for reviewing! Sorry this post is a bit later then normal, but I got it in! I'm already working on the next chapter! Hope you review and like it!

Walking around the lake was what Harry did all afternoon. Trying to relax his nerves Harry avoided all people contact. Even dinner. His stomach growled in hunger pains but he ignored it. After a little while Harry sat down at the edge of the water on a rock. A small pebble was in his right palm. He turned it over in his hand, looking at it but at the same time he didn't even see it there. His mind was off in a dark zone. Like he couldn't stop thinking but at the same time he wasn't thinking nothing at all. Confused with his feelings the last thing Harry wanted to do was go to sleep.

"Harry?"

Harry didn't move at all. He continued to look at the rock as the person behind him walked closer. As the person approached his eyes had wandered to the lake. Still in a zone.

"Harry, I talked to Ron and Hermione," James said, sitting down on a rock beside Harry's.

"So?" Harry asked, emotionless.

"If you were having trouble sleeping why couldn't you just come to me?" James asked, looking at Harry but Harry kept looking at the water. With a look on his face that made him seem to be completely out of it.

"Dad, can't you just leave me alone?" Harry asked suddenly. Not any real feeling in his voice, "Why aren't you on someone else's case? Why's it got to be mine?" Harry looked at James now, a serious look upon him.

James frowned and looked into Harry's face hard. "Harry, I'm not on someone else's case because someone else isn't my son. And I'm not on your case. Your mum and I are worried is all. We don't like it when you are like this. We just want to help,"

"I don't need your help! When I need your help I will ask for it!" Harry said, getting up and walking up to the castle with his fists clenched in his jeans pockets.

Harry didn't go to bed that night. At least, not until it was so late he might as well of stayed awake. Giving him no time to fall into a deep enough sleep to start dreaming. The next morning he was the most sleep deprived he had ever been, but he felt great.

"Why are you so cheery?" Hermione asked as Harry sat down for breakfast, grabbing a slice of toast and tossing it on his plate.

"No reason. Looking forward to playing Quidditch is all," Harry said, now taking a bite. Ron and Hermione exchanged looks but said nothing.

"Harry! Harry!"

Someone yelled as Harry was walking alone down to his class on the next Friday afternoon. He looked over his shoulder to see Seth jogging towards him.

"Harry, come on!" Seth yelled, getting closer. But Harry ignored him and kept walking.

"Harry! Stop!" Seth shouted, grabbing Harry's shoulder and dodging in front of him so he couldn't walk any more.

"Seth, move," Harry said, avoiding looking at Seth's face and trying to get around him.

"No, I want to know what your problem is!" Seth nearly screamed. A few people looked over at them.

"I don't have a problem, let me go," Harry said in a low tone, still not looking at him.

"What did I ever do to you!" Seth yelled, shoving Harry. It seemed like his anger was getting the better of him and instead of trying to figure out what Harry's problem was he started taking out his rage and frustration at Harry for ignoring him and acting like he was a piece of dust on the floor instead of his little brother.

Harry shook his head and tried going around Seth. Seth wouldn't let him. Giving him another shove, "Cut it out, Seth!"

"No! Why don't you fight me, Harry? Are you too tired? Looks like it. Them bags under your eyes could pass as black paint rubbed off from your glasses," Seth said, putting his finger under Harry's eye.

Now Harry looked up at him. Seth was mad, but there was nothing Harry could do about it.

"I'm going to be late for class," Harry said, continuing to try and get around Seth.

"Figures. Am I not important enough for you to be late for class or whatever?" Seth asked.

"Seth, did it ever occur to you that I may just not want to send little letters to my kid brother! Grow up!" Harry said harshly, shoving past him.

"Harry!" Seth shouted.

"What?" Harry asked, turning around.

Seth brought up his fist and brought it into Harry's face. Breaking his glasses and having them fall to the floor. Harry hit him back in defense but not nearly as hard, just as Seth hit Harry again.

"Boys!" Professor Flitwick shouted.

Seth and Harry froze. Panting, Seth turned from Harry. Harry's lip bleeding and both his eye and lip swelling. Seth merely had a throbbing nose.

"100 points each from Gryffindor! To Professor Dumbledore's office! Both of you!" He shouted.

Seth tore off right away but Harry stumbled around on the floor looking for his glasses. The one eye lense was smashed and the frame dented. Fixing them so he could see Harry realized how many people were staring at him. Professor Flitwick was waiting impatiently for him to get moving. So, without much more hesitation Harry went ahead after Seth towards the Headmaster's office.

Seth sat down in a chair in front of Dumbledore's desk and Harry stood back up against the wall. Seth's arms were crossed but Harry seemed relaxed and like he didn't have a care in the world. Seth was irritated.

"They were fighting the muggle way, Headmaster. I docked them both 100 points. I didn't see why it started," Professor Flitwick said.

Professor Dumbledore folded his hands and smiled at the two boys, neither or them looking at him, then he looked to Flitwick.

"Thank you, Professor. I'll handle it from here," Dumbledore stated.

"Alright." Flitwick said before turning to leave.

After the door shut Harry opened his mouth to speak but Dumbledore held up his hand.

"It's okay, Harry. You don't need to apologize,"

"I hardly hit him, Professor. I don't know what his deal is," Harry said.

Dumbledore smiled, "Oh, I'm pretty sure you do, Harry. Would you like to sit down? You seem mighty exhausted,"

Harry didn't want to be rude towards the Professor so went and took a seat a few feet from Seth, who was looking in the whole nother direction with his eyes to the floor.

"Very good," Dumbledore said.

They were all quiet for a minute. The only sounds were Harry trying to rub the blood from his face with the back of his sleeve. There was no way he was going to ask if he could go to the Hospital Wing.

"Well, I think it best if you two were to go home for a week to sort out your differences," Professor Dumbledore said.

Harry's head jerked up instantly, just to see that Dumbledore was smiling and the twinkle in his eye was shining brightly.

"What?" Harry asked, "You're expelling us?"

"No, no, my dear boy. Think of it as a vacation. You can come back not this Monday but the following Monday to return to classes. That way you have two weekends and 5 days to work out your problems and we don't have to worry about no more fights. Correct?" Dumbledore asked.

"Yes, sir," Harry said. Seth didn't say a word. It was like he wasn't even there.

"Okay then. I have already contacted your parents. I believe your father will be here any moment. Want any gum drops while we wait?" Dumbledore asked, tossing a round hard candy in his mouth and resting himself back in his chair.

At the Potter house Harry sat on one end of the couch and Seth sat on the other. James stood between them. Waiting for the first one to speak.

"Can't I go wash my face before you make us sit here in silence?" Harry asked.

"No. You can't. It's your fault you got those in the first place,"

"How is it my fault! The kid freaked! I didn't say anything and he hit me twice! And you don't care!" Harry shouted.

James was looking at Seth, who still hadn't put in one word since they got out of Dumbledore's office.

"Seth?" James asked. Seth ignored him.

"Alright, you know both of you just go to your rooms. We'll talk about this later when your mother gets home. Go." James said.
