Gone Missing: I'm in Jail

By: Love Seth

Thanks for the reviews. Some of you may know that the document manager wasn't working last night, or early this morning before school. So, I just got off work at six then I went to tutor a 4th grader till seven and I just got home now, - about 7:30. I'm tired. But I figured on trying to update my story again before I passed out. Hope you like.

"Mum. MUM!" Harry shouted, going into his parent's bedroom.

His mum was sleeping, still. Seemingly trying to catch up on her sleep. She was sprawled out on the bed, wrapped deep in the covers.

"Mum!" Harry shouted again, standing in the door way.

Lily woke with a start, looking around for the reason for the noise when she saw Harry standing there. She relaxed and laid back in the pillows, "What time is it?" she asked.

"I dun't know. But I want to know what is up with Dad. He is acting like something is wrong. I have a bad feeling and I want to know what he's doing," Harry practically yelled.

"What? What's the matter?" Lily asked, slowly getting up in the bed.

"I just want to talk to Dad. Can you get a hold of him for me? Tell him I need to talk to him," Harry said, motioning for Lily to move faster.

"Harry, calm down. Let me wake up will you?" Lily said, sounding irritated at being woken up like the house was on fire or under attack but nothing was seriously wrong.

Harry didn't say anything but just left the room all hot and bothered.

"SETH!" Harry shouted, "SETH!"

"What?" Seth asked.

"Do you know where Dad left to?" Harry asked. He wasn't entirely hysterical but he wasn't completely calm either. Sort of in between. He couldn't put a feeling on what he was feeling.

"He went back to work to meet Sirius,"

"Well, I have to talk to him," Harry said, going into the kitchen and taking a piece of parchment from near the phone and beginning a note to his father.

"Wasn't he just down in your room before he left?" Seth asked.

"Yeah, but-" Harry started, but cut himself off and continued writing.

"Harry, do you seriously want me to contact your dad or can it wait till he gets home?" Lily asked.

Harry set his pencil down and looked up at his mum as she found herself something to drink from the fridge.

Harry thought about it. Why was he in such a big hurry anyway? Was it that important?

"I dunno. Why was he acting so weird? What's going on at work?" Harry asked.

"I don't know, Harry. As far as I know nothing out of the ordinary. I haven't talked to him since before I laid down," Lily said.

Harry didn't say anything, just took the piece of paper in his hand and crunched it before throwing it in the trash.

"Is something going on that I should know about, Harry?" Lily asked, stopping and taking a good look at Harry.

Harry thought about it. Thought about his 'feeling' that his dad was acting weird and how he didn't know what was really going on. His heart calmed, "No. I dun't know. It's nothing. I'll wait till he gets home,"

And with that Harry went to the door and put his shoes on.

"Where you going?" Lily asked, rushing to Harry and grabbing his arm.

"Come on, Mum. Can I please just go on a walk or something. I don't want to be in this house any longer," Harry pleaded. He was sure he had started losing his mind.

"No, Harry. I want you to stay here," Lily said.

"Why!" Harry asked, knowing the answer.

"I'll go with him. If I go with him can he?" Seth spoke up. Harry looked at him, grateful, but highly doubting it would make a difference in his mother's choice.

"No, no, that would put you both in danger. Just stay here. Okay?" Lily said.

"NO! It's not okay, Mum. I want to get out of this house! I am a prisoner! Do I have to spend the rest of my life like this?" Harry asked.

He didn't wait for Lily's answer before he tore out the door, shaking Lily off roughly.

"HARRY! GET BACK HERE!" Lily shouted.

"Harry!" Seth yelled, shocked.

Harry shook his hand at them as he kept walking.

Seth looked at Lily, who had grabbed her wand from her pocket.

"Mum!" Seth shouted but the words hardly escaped his mouth before the spell was released.

"Winsted!"

Before Harry could blink he was no longer walking in front of the house but was seated in a kitchen chair. He seemed to be glued there. He couldn't move any part of his body except his head.

"MUM!" Harry shouted.

Lily ran to him and grabbed his face, "You listen to me! You don't disobey me like that! Do you understand?" she shouted in his face, tears running down her face as she slightly shook in the rage she was feeling.

"It's not that big of a deal! Why can't I just leave! Go out in the yard maybe?"Harry asked.

Lily was grabbing his face so hard she could of created bruises.

"It's not like you left the cap off the juice, Harry! You could get killed! How do you think that would make me feel!"

"It's not all about you!" Harry shouted.

Seth raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms, knowing well that Harry had just pushed one of their mother's last buttons and most likely hurt her feelings in some way mostly because she would realize Harry was right.

"You're going to stay right here and wait for you dad. You should of listened to me," Lily said before letting go of his face and going over to the phone where Harry had been just minutes before and wrote a owl to James.

Seth was looking at Harry as Harry cracked his neck, probably wishing he could rub his face where red marks had formed.

"Aren't you going to send it?" Seth asked.

"No. I'm going to use the fire to get to your dad," Lily said as she, just like Harry, crunched the letter up and threw it away as she left the room with one last look at Harry.

Harry didn't say anything as Seth came over and stood in front of him.

"Where were you going to go?" he asked.

Harry looked up at him. Seth didn't look like he was mocking him in any way, but he looked like he felt sorry for him. Which would make Harry more mad. He didn't want anyone feeling sorry for him. Like he had a disease or something.

Harry didn't say anything at first. He kept his head bowed, "Don't you ever just feel like you need to get away?" He mumbled.

Seth didn't have time to answer before James had came out of nowhere.

Harry kept his face down. James went over to Seth and pulled on him, "Why don't you go do something, alright? Leave me and Harry,"

Seth left without a word. He kept his eyes on Harry as he left.

James waited till Seth was completely gone before he grabbed a chair and brought it over and sat down directly in front of Harry.

"You can't be pulling that kind of thing, Harry. Not now," James started.

Harry could hear behind the calm voice. James was furious that Harry had attempted leaving the house when Lily was telling him not to. Harry was just waiting for the blow.

Harry kept his mouth closed. He had no way of defending himself and if he stood up for himself it would land him in more trouble.

"Don't you have anything to say?" James asked, leaning into Harry a bit.

Harry looked up at him without raising his face.

"You Mum says you wanted to talk to me about something. What is it?" James asked, his calmness was remaining.

"I-It's not important," Harry said. He was surprised at how hard it was to talk. He was hardly upset, but for some reason he couldn't talk.

"I'm going to tell you something, Harry. I'm going to tell you what is going on at the ministry. Why I was so crazy earlier," James said.

This grabbed Harry's attention, he brought his face up to look at James now.

"Three people have been killed. A man at the ministry. I didn't know him, but I knew of him. Apparently the killers thought he was good buddies with me and decided to threaten the guy to see if he would give them any information on how to locate where we lived. Of course the guy knew nothing. So, what happened was the two murders killed the man, his wife and their 10-year-old daughter. This morning me and another the man I work with, Donnie, went and found the family at their home,"

AUTHOR NOTE: I think there will only be aMAX of 3-4 more chapters before it is done! Most likely only 3. Maybe I'll write another one (story)- not a sequel or nothing- but another story and actually finish it like I am this one.
