Hey, guys just wanted to say thanks for all the followers I appreciate it so much. I am having so much fun writing this story it's always on my mind. as always I don't own naruto
when naruto woke up the next morning he got ready for some training and practice. He left his apartment and headed to the Hokage tower to have the hokage check his test on level 1 seals so that he can start the next book and see if his handwriting is good enough to try them. when he arrived the young lady at the reception desk told him lord third was in a meeting with his advisors and to wait for a few minutes.
An hour goes by and finally, the door to the office opens. When it does three people come out, the first is an old man with grey hair brown eyed and a small beard, the second is an old woman with silver hair grey eyes and a stern expression on her face, the third that came out was walking with a cane and had one arm in a sling while one eye was covered in bandages he had a few scars on his face and looked like he had eaten a lemon. As they walked past Naruto the first two glared at him and the third ignored him completely like he didn't even exist. When the Hokage showed up in the doorway he look irritated at the one that just left his office. When he saw Naruto he forced a smile onto his face and asked why he was there to see him so early in the morning.
" I finished the first book and took the test. I was wondering if you would see how well I did on it. also, the book said sealing needs very good handwriting to make seals correctly can you use the test to see how well mine is so I can see what I have to work on next with sealing?" inquired Naruto
Hiruzen took the book from naruto and turned to the test in the back. using his knowledge about seals and what he's learned about them he goes through and checks the answers to see if any are wrong. And to his shock, they are all correct! he looks at the penmanship and sees it could be better but for a beginner it is good.
" Well, naruto I am proud to say that you got all the questions correct. your handwriting could be a bit better but since you just started it is ok. I'll give you the second book tomorrow when I come to see your training. Now I found you a teacher for the smithing. he wanted me to tell you to meet him at his store. the name of the store is the Tactical Kunai. have you heard of it if not I can show you where it is quickly?"
"Nah I know where it is I got new clothes there. I don't want to wear them yet cause I want people to see a new me when the next year once the Academy starts. I also got better weapons there than what I had so hopefully I can do better with them. is there anything else I need to know about my new teacher?" said naruto
" Excellent Naruto I was going to recommend getting new gear and clothes but wasn't sure you would do so. And the only thing I would say about him is he is a nonsense person so don't prank him if you want him to teach you. Other than that all I can say is a good job."
He reaches into his desk and pulls out another book that he hands over to naruto. the title of said book is Sealing arts level 2 the author of who is the same as the last. he bid naruto a good day and hopes he enjoys smithing.
Naruto soon arrives at The Tactical Kunai and enters the store. He sees Tenshi behind the counter. Not sure what to do he walks up to Tenshi.
" Hey Tenshi I was sent here by the Hokage to meet my smithing teacher would that happen to be you? Also do you by chance have any books on sealing that I could buy? I just started level two and was wondering if you had others I could get ahead of time."
"Ah, Naruto we don't sell books on sealing to persons that are not a ninja yet. As to your other question no I'm not your smithing teacher that would be the owner of this store. Wait right here and I'll go get him."
He heads to the back of the store and opens a door that looks like part of the wall. He disappears behind it for a moment and when he comes back he is followed by a man that Naruto recognizes. The older gentleman sees Naruto and smiles.
" So you must be my new apprentice have to say I could do a lot worse than you. From what I hear around the village you can run for hours and not get tired. Well follow me and we will get started right away. Oh and if you have any other errands you have to do or anything else send a Few Shadow Clones to do them we will be here till late tonight. Oh and before I forget my name is naiku and I am the best smith in the hidden leaf village." says the now named naiku
Naruto takes his advice and makes 50 clones that he instructs to head to a training ground that isn't being used and practice all that was taught to him by Hitomaru. leads Naruto to the back of the store and out into a shop attached to it. when they walk into the shop naruto is surprised by how hot it is inside. he takes his orange jacket off and hangs it on a peg that he sees near the door. he looks around the shop to see a variety of things inside. He also notices that the shop is bigger than it seems. the size of the room is 25' by 35' in the center of the room are 5 tables 10 anvils 5 forges and 3 racks of various weapons. along the south wall are the forges and hoses for all the forges that must lead to the tanks for the gas. along the east wall is a peg board that has hammers, tongs, saws, pliers, and other tools usually found in smithing shops. along the west wall is a row of 3 belt sanders with shelves in between each that has other belts and pieces of wood. and along the north wall are aprons, towels, and windows for natural light to be let in as well as the door to enter the said shop. he starts in surprise when he is grabbed and pulled over to one of the tables by naiku and told to stay put while he grabs something for him. When naiku comes back after about 5 minutes or so he is carrying a small apron and a bag that looks to be made of canvas.
" Here you go young man these are the standard blacksmith kits I give to all of my apprentices. I have heard a lot of good things about you from the Hokage so I expect you to live up to them also guessing from how you seemed to recognize me let's start with a few questions from each of us to try and break the ice. I'll go first. Why do you want to learn to smith? It's long and boring work and not everything made is up to the standards you set for yourself."
Naruto looks up at the man who stopped a woman from hurting him and answers his question.
" I want to learn Blacksmithing because I want to be able to make items that could help others and myself able to come home from missions. I want to learn Blacksmithing to better myself and prove to others that I'm not a monster who only knows how to attack and that I can also defend if required. I also think it would help me become a stronger ninja than if I didn't learn it. My question to you is why did you save me that day in the store?"
" Those are excellent reasons to learn Blacksmithing. As to your question I saved you because it was the right thing to do and I don't care what you have sealed inside of you no kid deserves to be hurt for no reason. I also stopped her because I won't have any bigoted people working for me. My next question is are you able to build a forge where you live? you must have one of your own so you can practice on off days and be able to craft any experiments you have in said forge."
I can build one on one of the other floors of the building that I own and live in.
a/n he owns the apartment building because after he moved in everyone else moved out including the previous owner when he couldn't get hot water or electricity inside he went to the hokage and found out that he owns it due to the old owner trying to burn it down he just never uses the other apartments cause he has no use for them.
so it's no issue for me to build one and work on it. my next question is Why agree to be my master in Blacksmithing?"
That's good to hear that you can build one. And I agreed to have you as my apprentice because I see so much potential in you. you could be a better blacksmith than I ever could with the right teacher. now let's get started on the basics of smithing.
what went on for the next few hours was a details description of every tool in the shop and what it is used for. he also learned that he isn't the only apprentice and that Tenshi is also one on the days he doesn't work in the store. He also learned that the bag that was given to him had 3 hammers of different sizes, 3 sets of tongs, and, 2 sets of fire-rated gloves. the bag is what he is to bring to the shop each time he is supposed to be there. Naiku tells him that since he can use Shadow clones he wants at least 10 in the shop at all times to make sure he gets as much experience as possible. They then head out to one of Naiku's friend's businesses to see about the renovation Naruto is gonna need to have for his forge to be made. Naruto decides to have the whole ground floor turned into his forge so he can have more clones working ever as he does other things. After some haggling about prices and materials that are going to be needed they sign a contract and Naiku decides to end it for the first day. He says goodnight and goes home once he gets home he creates a clone that he has to signal the others to dispell in sets of ten until there are none left. For the next hour, he is sorting through the information he gets from his clones and learns he also has finished the first book that Hitomaru gave him. He takes a shower, has dinner, and goes to bed ready for more learning to come.
Time skip 2 months
Naruto wakes up and does his morning routine to get ready for another busy day. As he is eating his breakfast he is glad for the shadow clone jutsu and all of its uses. he has learned so much from both Hitomaru and Naiku. With the help of his clones, he has progressed to the point where he is trying to mix metals to form something new. and with the wiring, he can wire a whole house or build a computer from the ground up. his sealing is to the point of him being a level 5 seal master and he feels like he is close to getting to level 6. The only thing that he thinks stands out from the last 2 months of training is when he accidentally made a metal that can't be damaged by most jutsu.
Flashback to two weeks ago.
Naiku stands over Naruto as he mixes the molten metal in his crucible. When it was poured into the mold for an arm bracer and cooled enough to pick up. Naiku inspects the newly made bracer and sees it is pure silver in color and weighs less than aluminum. he grabs a hammer from the table next to him and strikes it with all his strength. A pure note rings from the metal and there's not a single scratch on it. He's baffled by this creation and doesn't know what to think but then decides to try and figure out how it was made.
"Naruto what metal did you put into the crucible to get this mixture to happen? Do you think it would be possible to make it again?" naiku asked
"I put the metal that was on the table closest to the door into it. You said to use any metal I want for this. and I could try to make it again but I'm not sure what I put into it all." Responded Naruto
"Naruto there were quite a few different types of metal on that table including some chakra metal do you know how much of each you put into the crucible? And what brought on the thinking of mixing all the metals? I don't mind you doing it, it is a great sign of smiths that do that early on." said Naiku
Naruto looked confused and thought for a few minutes before he answered his teacher. While he was trying to remember Naiku picked up the bracer again and thought of how much damage it could take before it broke.
" I'm not sure of all that I mixed in or how much either but I can have clones at my home forge trying to recreate this metal. I'm going to need more of the chakra metal. I'll also try to remember when I added each to it as well. but in the meantime what do I do with this piece of armor that I made I don't want to melt it down again cause it looks good to me. but should we test it to see what it would take to destroy it? if we do that we can have some of the ninjas from the village throw some jutsu at it to see what its damage resistance is. I can even ask the old man if he will help us find some strong ones as well." exclaimed a very hyper blond
" We can test it but not in the forge we'll need to go to a training ground for this. But first, let's go to see the Hokage to get some help from the ninjas around the village," said Naiku
They headed out to meet with the Third Hokage to see if he would lend them some strong ninjas to help with the testing. When they got to the tower they were able to go right in as the homage had no meetings right then.
The third Hokage looked up from the book he was reading and smiled when he saw his surrogate grandson walk in. it faltered when he also saw Naiku with a thoughtful look at him.
" Hey, old man we need some help with something. I made a piece of armor today but mixed a lot of different metals into it and Naiku doesn't know what the mixture is either. Can we borrow some strong ninja to test its capabilities in defense, please? We want to test to see what it takes to damage it. he's already hit it hard. so what do you say?" clamored Naruto
Naiku walks to the desk and hands him the bracer to examine for himself. As he's looking at it a clone of his sends for a few of his jonin to test it out to hopefully calm the hyper blond in front of him. He notices that the bracer is extremely light but doesn't seem to bend at all to his efforts. After a few minutes, there is a knock on the door he says enter, and four people come in. the first one has jet black hair with a small goatee, and stands at about 5'8", he is wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt with a Konoha flak vest over it Black anbu style pants with a red sash around it that says fire in it. he is also smoking a cigarette this is Asuma Sarutobi. the second is a woman about 5'4" with long flowing black hair, piercing red eyes, magenta lipstick, and a dress that looks like its bandages with a rose thorn vine all over it. This is Yuhi Kurenai. The third is a man that stands at 5'11" with silver gravity-defying hair, his headband covers his left eye while the right one is black, and he has a mask that covers from the top of his nose down to his neck. he wears a dark grey long-sleeved shirt with the Konoha flak vest over blue anbu style pants. this is Kakashi Hatake. The fourth is the strangest one of them all he stands at 6'3" and has shiny black hair that's in a bowl cut, he wore a green body suit orange leg warmers, and a Konoha flak vest over it his headband is around his waist like a belt. this is Might Guy.
"You summoned us, Lord Hokage?" asks Asuma
"Yes, I did young naruto here has made a new bracer today. as it is his first piece made he wants to test it out. His teacher Naiku here will explain more about why I called you four here today. Naiku if you would please explain what you told me to them."
" Certainly Lord Hokage. Alright as he said Naruto made this bracer here in my hand. ( he holds it up so they can see it.) when I first examined it I noticed it was extremely light for metal and decided to do a stress test while it was still a bit warm. I hit it with all my might and all that happened was a note rang out. what we want to do today is a test to see what its capabilities are in terms of defense and what it can take before it breaks or gets badly damaged. I can tell you know it does have chakra metal on it but I'm not sure how much was used. I want to see if any jutsu will damage it or if it will even absorb chakra from us like normal chakra metal. are there any questions?" explained Naiku
" I have a question you said this young man made this piece? If so his flames of youth are burning strong." Said Guy
"He did make it but we're not quite sure how yet and what I mean by that is I had told him he could use any metal in my shop while I teach him and he mixed a bit of all the metals I had in one of my tables. I'm not mad at him but if he can recreate this that means he would have made a new metal mixture that I've never seen before. Now, are there any other questions before we head out? no then let's go." says Naiku
They arrived at a training ground soon after and Naiku looked around at it. it was mostly barren of trees except for a small copse of them near the entrance to said training ground. there were a few boulders placed around and a single training dummy in the center.
" Alright so how do we want to start these tests on the armor? do we want to start with weapons, jutsu, and Martial arts? and we have all day so we can try as many ideas as you want." Says Naiku
" I think we should do Martial Arts first and then weapons and then jutsu just to make sure we don't blast it away before testing is done. any other ideas on how we should do this? said Kakashi
the other jonin agreed so Naiku handed them the bracer which was then passed to Guy as he is the best hand-to-hand combat user. Guy sets it down and thinks for a second before he decides to ask a couple of questions.
" Are we allowed to try anything on this piece of armor or just hit it?"
" You can use whatever techniques you want as long as you don't launch it and lose it. Also, don't be afraid to go all out we want to see how much it can take before it breaks as well. I will say this if you make it fly anywhere you will find it." replies Naiku
They all agree to that and decide to get started. since they had decided on martial arts first Guy steps up to Naruto and gets handed the bracer. He sets it on the ground and raises his leg and drops it onto the bracer in an axe kick. When it hits the ground craters down about 3 feet. Naruto and Naiku both get shocked looks on their face as they see the dent in the ground. Guy lifts his leg off of the bracer and to everyone's surprise, there is no damage at all.
"Hey, how strong is this thing I hit it with about the same strength that normally damages normal armor worn by the anbu. well, we're testing it so ill put more into the next one," said Guy
he raises his fist and punches the bracer in the center and making the crater three times the size it was. he pulls his fist back and still no damage. shocked that there is still no damage Guy crouches down and lifts his leg warmers. Underneath them is a piece of paper with seals on them. he grabs the seals and pulls them off when he drops them on the ground huge clouds of dust appear. when the dust clears there are huge holes in the ground. He stands back up and does a few leg stretches.
"Alrighty now here I go full strength and speed," says Guy
He jumps out and starts to do a few flips as he comes down and just before he hits the ground he shoots his right leg out and slams his heel into the bracer. BOOM!! There is a huge cloud of dust that arises from the point of impact. it takes ten minutes before it clears and when it does everyone is shocked. laying on the found in a 50-foot-deep crater is Guy underneath his foot is the bracer.
"Can one of you guys come to help me up in that last attack I seem to have broken my ankle? Naruto your flames of youth are truly amazing to have made something that can handle my strongest kick with no damage at all. Also, it didn't seem to even move once I hit it. it's like it absorbed the kinetic energy and sent it back at me."
Takashi goes down grabs the bracer and helps him out of the hole he made. when they arrive back at the too he hands the bracer back to naruto and has Guy sit at the base of a tree to sh can watch the rest of the tests.
Naruto looks over the Bracer and sees no discernable damage to it from the hit it recently took. He hands it to Naiku so he can look it over with a more experienced eye however he also doesn't see any damage to the bracer.
" Well, I'm guessing that since he broke his ankle we're going to try weapons now? if so the rules still stand if you make it fly anywhere you have to find it," says Naiku
"Right so I guess it's my turn for a bit. I can try a few things on it. not sure how well they will work." Says Asuma
He walks over and grabs the bracer and takes it over to a tree close by that's not occupied by Guy and puts it at the base of said tree. he then walks about 12 feet away. He reaches into his shuriken pouch and throws a few at the bracer. All six of the shuriken hit it in the center and knock it over. Asuma walks over and picks it up. He then proceeds to pick up his shuriken.
" Well, this is a well-made piece of armor not a single scratch on it. it even damaged these six shurikens beyond repair. it's like these are made of paper with how badly damaged they are. I'm going to try one of my knives to be sure but I don't think it will change anything." says Asuma
He puts the bracer back up against the tree and walked back to where he was earlier. he reaches into his pouch on his thigh and pulls out a trench knife that is about fourteen inches long and had knuckle guards for the fingers. he aimed the and then threw it as hard as he could. when it hit the bracer it made a pinging noise and spun off to the right barely missing Guy sitting on the ground. He walks over to the bracer and sees that it is undamaged from his latest attempt and sighs. he heads in the direction his knife flew. a few moments later he is back looking at his knife. He walks up to Naiku and hands it to him to inspect.
" You made that and told me it was chakra metal and very durable. it has a bit of chunk if the tip broke off as well as cracks running throughout the rest of the blade. I'm impressed with Naruto that's one of my new ones so should have lasted a long time."
"I am as well and am shocked that it broke normally chakra metal is the most durable. I'll remake this for you later once we're done and I have time. Now I think it's time to try jutsu on the bracer. Same rules as before if it goes flying you have to find it." states Naiku
Kakashi walks up grabs the bracer and puts it next to the tree he then says I'm going to start big because we've seen what this can take so far. He lifts his headband. What Naruto sees is a red eye with three commas-like dots in it that are rotating slowly. He then puts his right wrist into his left hand and starts concentrating. After a few seconds, there is what would like chirping from birds and a ball of electricity, in his hand. He stabs it forwards right onto the bracer and holds it there for a few seconds. The chirping and electricity dies out and what they see is that the bracer is only scorched a little bit. He picks it up and turns it over to check the back and still no damage. He hands it to Naiku.
" That's a really good piece of armor he made if he ever sells it or makes it to where we can buy it I want a full set. He has done an amazing job on this even if it was an accident. I think if someone could use the strongest fire-style jutsu and do so for a long time it would be just molten metal but as far as I can see it would take a lot of heat to do that.
He is jolted out of his memories by the shout of one of his clones. He turns to the one celebrating and sees a shiny piece of armor in his hand. He rushes over and looks it over and sees all of the same characteristics that the bracer has. He then has said clone dispel and gets its memories to see what was done.
Once he went over the memories he grabs some metal and the amount of each he uses that the clone did then he puts it all in the crucible. While it's melting he looks over what the clone made and sees it is another bracer but for the opposite side as the original one. He decides if this comes out the right way he is going to make a chest piece but doesn't want it to be a single piece of armor instead he wants it to be multiple for more mobility and flexibility. He grabs a planning notebook and starts to try and figure out it is going to work. Soon enough he has the design that he thinks is going to work best. It has the chest piece into four parts the left and right pectorals, the gut and in between the pectorals is going to be a round piece that has the Konoha leaf on it. He has the design sketched out and put over a piece of wood then cut out and pressed into a mold that he can pour the mixture of molten metal into. He checks on the crucible and sees it still needs time to go before he has to add more metal to it so he makes a clone and has it work on this while he goes and gets some food and rest.
