Jason looked at Tommy shock pasted on his face. He had known him for a year now and he didn't know this. He knew Tommy was shy but why didn't he say this at least? Jason smiled gently but in the back of his mind, he was just shocked. Not mad though, he would never be mad at Tommy if it was a good reason anyway. Tommy's parents had gone into the hall to talk with Tommy's doctor. Tommy was looking at his cast shame was in his eyes. Jason shook his head. "Why didn't you tell me or anyone else on the team? I'm not mad by the way," Jason asked sitting down in the chair next to Tommy's bed. Tommy looked up from his cast and sighed.
"I was scared that you would treat me differently. It's not something that I like sharing with people," Tommy told him looking at his Jason who laughed a little.
"Tommy, I would never do that. Just because you grew up differently doesn't mean we will treat you like Zedd," Jason said making Tommy laugh a little.
"That would be weird," Tommy said still laughing. Jason smiled. He liked hearing Tommy laughing its been a while. "Did you call Billy? I know the others are on vacation," Tommy asked looking at the door when Bill walked in answering his question.
"Hey Tommy," Billy said walking over to his friend. Tommy smiled but he didn't say anything as he looked at Jason. Billy looked behind him before he wisped:
"Puddles are annoying. I told Zordon and he and Alpha are watching for more," Jason and Tommy nodded.
"Why does this always happen to me?" Tommy muttered. Jason opened his mouth to say something, but Tommy's parents walked back into the room.
"Are you ready to go Tom? You can call your friend later," Tommy's dad asked running his hand through his hair. Tommy sighed and looked at Billy.
"Yeah, I'll meet you guys at Ernie's later," Tommy getting out of bed slowly," Billy smiled but when he looked over at Jason, he saw the pain in his eyes. He decided to ask him later. Tommy waved and walked out of the room with Billy and Jason following him.
Tommy sat in the living room reading a book when his mom came in the room. Tommy knew that she would talk to him about him not telling his friends that he was adopted and about that dream. He hopes it's better than when he told his old caretaker about his dreams.
Tommy was alone in his room again. It was late at night. He just had a nightmare, and he was scared to tell someone. However, he knew that he should tell his foster father, right? Tommy sighed and sat there on his bed. Tommy took a deep breath before he got off his bed and walked over to the door. "I can tell him. He'll understand," Tommy said to himself as he opened the door.
"Tommy?" Tommy's mom cut him out of the memory. "I know I kind of got mad at you for not telling Jason but he's your friend. You need to trust him" Tommy's mom told him sitting down. Tommy sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"I know, I do trust him. I trust all of my friends but..." Tommy closed his eyes.
"I know dear. How are you feeling?" she asked looking at the book next to her son. Tommy sighed.
"I've had worse," he said laughing nervously. "Can I go hang out with Jason and Billy?" Tommy asking standing up. Tommy's mother smiled and nodded.
"Sure, but don't be out too late," she said making Tommy smile. He then walked over to the fount door and walked out. Tommy's mother sighed and looked at her husband who shook his head but there was a smile on his face.
"Teenagers," he muttered making his wife laugh a little.
