She holds my hands and intensely searches my eyes. "Please don't freak out, I know we've been dating for six months, but everything with us has been really great, I haven't felt this happy in a long time, the reason I'm this happy is because of you Eddie, you make my life very special." She sighs heavily.
"I love you with all my heart, it's fine if you don't feel the same way, I don't want to keep my feelings from you." She adds.
("Did she just say I might not feel the same way about her? I can't believe how special she made me feel today, my favorite dinner, pie and an unforgettable gift, and she shared her feelings with me, I couldn't stay quiet any longer, I had to tell her.")
"I love you too Loren, with all my heart."
She looks at me wondering if she had heard me right. "You love me too?" She asks, her eyes fill with tears.
"Of course I do, I have been debating whether to tell you how I feel for a long time. I am so in love with you that I can't even think straight, you had my heart the moment we met at the beach house a few summers ago."
("She wraps her arms around my neck and we kiss, I was relieved she knew how I felt about her and how she felt about me.")
Eddie continues to perform, Jake makes arrangements to send him to northern California, Eddie sells out in every show, Loren had a break from school after finals and flew in Eddie's jet to meet him. They spent time together when he has a few breaks from rehearsals, she waits back stage for him while he performs. She sits in the audience when he's invited on talk shows, everyone wants to know about the brunette beauty who accompanies him everywhere, he tells them she is part of his private life.
"Is that why you're always smiling?" One TV reporter asks.
Eddie responds. "No comment." They will soon know about the girl who means everything to him.
A few days later, Loren sees her mom and shares the wonderful news that she's dating Eddie.
"I am so happy for you." Nora adds.
"Thanks mom, how are you? You've been so busy traveling for work."
"I'm fine honey, I spend a few days at our beach home, I am having the house remodeled to sell." Nora says.
"That's great, there will be no trace of Trent left in that home." Loren wonders.
"He took everything he owned, I was talking to Katy, she offered to buy the home, are you okay with that?" Nora asks.
"Of course." Loren isn't sure how she feels, that house gave her happiness, that's where she saw Eddie for the first time. That's the place where she realized she was in love with him.
"If Katy wants it then let her have it." Loren adds.
"Thanks Loren, I'm glad you understand." Nora adds.
The door opens and Mel walks in. "Hey Nora, good to see you."
"Same here Mel." Nora grabs her bag and walks towards the door. "I will see you girls later, I need to shop for a few things for my next trip in a few days."
Nora leaves and Mel turns to Loren. "She's leaving again?"
"She loves to travel with her job, I don't want to tell her how much I miss her." Loren adds.
"You should let her know, she's been like this since Trent left." Mel states. "Does she know about Eddie?"
"I was finally able to tell her, I hate doing it through text or email, I think it's something that I should share with her in person."
"I totally agree with you." Mel adds.
After touring New York and Chicago, Eddie is back in Los Angeles, it's been almost a year since he and Loren started dating.
Ian is waiting for Eddie at his penthouse. "What's the rush Duran?"
"I'm going to ask Loren to marry me." Eddie admits.
"Yikes, Duran is settling down, are you sure this is what you want?" Ian asks.
"Of course it is, I need your help in getting Loren to the beach house."
"Sure, no problem, that will be easy to do." Ian says.
"I purchased Loren's beach house, that will be our summer home, I will have a chef there to cook an amazing dinner for Loren and I."
"What else can I do to help?" Ian asks.
"I've spoken to Mel; she knows what I need to finalize my plans to propose to Loren."
With Ian and Mel's help, Eddie is ready for his special night. Katy helps to decorate the back part of the beach house.
Mel made several appointments for Loren, her hair was styled, light make-up to go with the beautiful red gown for Loren to wear that evening. She was told Eddie was attending a charity gala and she was going with him that night.
"Why am I going to the beach house?" Loren wonders.
"Eddie has a photo shoot there before you two attend the Gala." Mel is quick to say.
Loren is driven to the beach house, the Limo driver helps her exit, she's guided towards the beach house her parents use to own.
Eddie steps out to greet her. "You look very beautiful."
Loren blushes. "Thanks, you look amazing in that black Tux ensemble." Eddie walks towards her and places a soft kiss on her lips.
"I have something for you." Eddie gives her a small box wrapped in glossy paper.
Loren looks at him. "For me?"
"Of course it's for you, open it." He watches as she carefully unwraps the box, it reveals a black velvet box, before she can say another word, Eddie drops to one knee.
"I love you Loren, I can't continue to tour alone, I need you by my side forever, will you marry me?"
Loren's eyes fill with tears. "Yes Eddie, of course I will marry you."
Eddie removes the ring from the box and places it on Loren's finger. "My heart was yours the moment I saw you, you are the best thing to walk into my life." Loren leans in and places a soft kiss on Eddie's lips, they enjoy a romantic dinner followed by slow dancing under the moonlight.
Eddie wastes no time, their wedding will take place in a month, it's the start of summer, it will be an intimate ceremony followed by a dinner party at the beach house.
A French designer is flown into Los Angeles, he will design Loren's wedding dress, Loren chooses a Francoise gown, floral baroque lace dress with thousands of hand-embroidered beads that sparkles over delicate French Chantilly lace, curving gracefully around her body to contour and elongate her silhouette. The dress flatters Loren's petite body with deep cutouts that reveal a subtle hint of her skin, while a double layer lace sculpts the train on the edge by her waist. She's wearing white tiny roses that are pinned to her hair that's combed to the side.
Loren stands in front of the mirror. Nora, Katy and Mel sigh at how beautiful she looks.
"Eddie will not be able to take his eyes of you." Mel adds with a teasing voice.
Max knocks on the door to tell them the ceremony is ready to begin. Katy walks out and heads down the aisle with Max by her side. Mel is next, she is Loren's maid of honor. Nora holds Loren's arm and they walk down the aisle towards Eddie.
Ian is standing next to Eddie. "She is a beautiful bride Duran."
Eddie smiles. ("I can't believe the woman I love is going to be my wife after today, I look forward to our life together from this moment on.")
Nora places Loren's hand onto Eddie's, they face Max's friend, a municipal judge who will perform the ceremony.
After a few words and their vows, Loren and Eddie are pronounced husband and wife.
After a few pictures, dinner and their first dance. Katy and Max host Mel, Ian and Nora in their beach home. While Eddie and Loren stay at the beach house Eddie purchased for Loren.
Eddie holds his beautiful bride and they kiss. "I love you Loren."
Loren kisses him back, there is so much want in the kiss they share, neither can help themselves, Eddie runs his hands down Loren's backside, bringing her closer to him, that night belongs to them.
("Our first night together was very special, I knew our wedding had to be in the beach house where we fell in love, of course we had to wait for the summer season for our wedding, we are going to make many memories in this house, and spend every summer in this place especially after I'm done touring, this will definitely be one of many summers' to remember because this is where we fell in love.")
