Fine. I'll do a chapter 2. XD

Focuses on the relationship between Cait/Vi with a side of Jinx/Vi.

Vi's fists clenched in her restraints, her mind racing. The only thing that was keeping her sane right now was the fact that she had left Caitlyn. Caitlyn was safe. Away from all this. Away from Jinx-

"I paid your girlfriend a visit this morning," Jinx spoke.

"Wh-"

"Don't give me that look. The scent of sex, sweat and shame was the highest I've smelled in a long time," she shook her head, "I knew you'd leave me again for someone else."

"What did you do?" Vi asked, her voice shaky. No. Caitlyn was supposed to be safe. Why had Jinx dragged her back into this?

"I made her a snack."

Vi didn't dare look as Jinx's hand flew to unveil the dish in front of her. The thoughts of her intimate moments with Caitlyn. Her perfect Cupcake that she had left with the intention of keeping her safe. And now she was back in this mess, now her dismembered head was on a plate, now she was dead-

"Sheesh," Jinx rolled her eyes as she finally revealed the dish, "I'm not that crazy."

It was just a cupcake. How ironic.

A sigh of relief was followed by a gasp of horror, "Powder! Leave her out of this," Caitlyn was wheeled into the room, her wrists restrained and her mouth covered by a mask. Vi's heart ached at the sight, she wanted nothing more than to hold Caitlyn close and protect her from whatever her sister had planned. Caitlyn's own gaze flickered towards Vi, but she quickly looked away. There was pain and fear, but there was also sadness and anger. Directed at Vi.

A whimper escaped Caitlyn as Jinx moved towards some other chairs. One with the word 'Powder' written on the back, and another with 'Jinx'.

"Now... Where should I sit? That's your choice, really," she leaned on the back of Vi's chair.

Vi didn't have an answer. She wanted nothing more than for Powder to return. But... Jinx seemed fully in control already. She barely had any time to register that Jinx had thrust a gun into her bound hands.

"Make her go away. Please," her voice was directed at Caitlyn, her eyes remained on Vi's. Vi's eyes flickered between her sister and Caitlyn, "Send her on her way and-"

A whimper from Caitlyn cut Jinx off.

Jinx barely paid attention, "And you can have Powder back."

Vi's thoughts ran wild. She could have Powder back. She could have her sister back. Her true family. But...

"I-I can't," Vi's voice was soft as she stuttered, she looked down at the ground in defeat. Caitlyn's eyes widened at Vi's response, she had expected her to take Jinx up on her offer. Vi wanted Powder back. Vi wanted Caitlyn. She wasn't going to hurt the woman who she harboured feelings for though, no matter what.

Jinx wore an emotionless expression as she grabbed the gun, she wasted no time in aiming it at Caitlyn's head causing the girl to try and move away.

"No! Powder, listen," Vi quickly tried to reason, "W-We can just go. We'll leave and never come back."

"Where we would we go?"

It was impossible. The voices in Jinx's head were too strong for Vi to overpower. She tried, she truly did. But Powder was gone, faded. Her sister. The one she loved the most in the world. Still did. Always would. Even if she was Jinx now. Silco was doing a good job at convincing Jinx that she was no longer Powder, too. So that really wasn't helping.

Caitlyn had somehow broken free from her restraints, she held Jinx's mini gun in her hands. Jinx's own pistol remained firmly in her grip.

"Drop the gun!" Caitlyn ordered, aiming hers.

"W-Wait, no-" Vi began.

"Drop the gun!" Caitlyn exclaimed again.

"Wait! She's my sister..." her voice was pained, tears threatened to fall.

"Vi, she's too far gone," she didn't look back at the woman she was talking to, her focus was purely on Jinx.

Vi whispered, "Caitlyn... Please... I-I know I don't deserve anything from you after the way I left you... But please. She's my sister. I-I love her more than anything in the world."

Jinx was about to knock Caitlyn down but froze at Vi's words, "You don't mean that."

"Powder, I do. I will always mean that."

"Shut up! Stop talking!" Jinx clutched her head as she looked at the ground, "Nobody loves me! Nobody will ever care for me! You only love this stupid enforcer!"

"She's lying to you, Jinx!" Silco exclaimed.

Jinx's eyes glared at him, "You shut up, too! I-I can't think with all this noise. All these voices!"

Caitlyn's hands shook as she tightened her grip on the gun. Vi finally sobbed causing Caitlyn's focus to falter, "Cupcake... I-I don't know what to do."

With a groan of frustration, Caitlyn threw the gun to the ground. She turned towards Vi, "You left me! Now I know how Jinx felt!" the mention of her name caused Jinx to look back at the other two women, "You left me after... After what we did."

"She doesn't love either of us?" Jinx was confused... She left Caitlyn, too? She shakily leaned down to pick up the discarded mini gun.

"What?!" Vi exclaimed, shocked at whatever the hell was happening, "I-I love you, Pow- Jinx! You will always be sister, no matter who you turn out to be. And Caitlyn... I left to keep you safe. I-I didn't-"

"Oil and water, remember?" Caitlyn sighed, her eyes stung from the tears.

"Jinx, they're trying to distract you," Silco's voice boomed across the table.

Another added voice caused Jinx to snap. She prematurely fired the gun as she turned, the first bullet quickly hit Caitlyn's stomach causing the girl to shout in pain. The endless stream of bullets after had sunk into Silco's body. Jinx couldn't stop herself, despite how much she wanted to.

"Caitlyn!" Vi exclaimed once the noise of the gun died down, nothing but worry filled her body.

The enforcer was flat on the floor, blood pooling from her stomach, "I-I'm okay," her voice was quiet, she reached for the table cloth and ripped off a piece to quickly press it against her wound. She had to stop the bleeding. The bad news was, the bullet was definitely still inside.

Sobs escaped from Jinx as she realised what she had done, her gun was thrown into a nearby wall without a care, "No... No no no!" she said, rushing to Silco's chair. She knelt down in front of him, tears flooded from her eyes, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean- I didn't-"

"I never would have given you to them. Not for anything," Silco spoke softly, "Don't cry. You're perfect," his eyes flickered close as his last breath escaped through his parted lips.

The one person who took her in after Vi left her. Dead. She had killed him. She was alone again. She-

"Powder? It's okay," Vi whispered as Caitlyn managed to release her from her chair, "We'll be okay," she spoke to her sister, but she still made sure to allow Caitlyn some support. That bullet wound was going to prove a problem. Her arm came up around the enforcer, Caitlyn wasn't complaining.

"I thought maybe you could love me like you used to," Jinx sighed as she looked away from Silco's body, "Even though I'm... different."

"And I can, Jinx," Vi made sure to use the name that the woman wanted her to use. Jinx turned to look at her, the sadness across her face was soon masked with anger again as she saw how close Vi and Caitlyn were.

"You'll leave me for her. They told me you would," the voices in her head. Mylo. Claggor. They wouldn't stop.

"I'll live with you, Jinx. Down here in the under-city. We'll start over," Vi offered her a sad smile, "I miss you, Jinx. I would've found you earlier if it wasn't for Stillwater. I promise you. You've been the reason I kept on going for years."

"How can I trust you?"

"Because I'm your sister. I'll always be there for you. I should never have left you. I-I tried to get back to you when Silco first showed up but..."

Jinx was looking at the floor, she was confused. She was sad. She was angry. She'd just lost her father-figure. Another one. And now she was alone. Or was she?

"Jinx?" another voice. She looked up and saw the wounded Caitlyn, "I would never have shot you, you know? You have a good heart, just like your sister. I would never take her way from you," her vision was slowly becoming blurry, the pain from her stomach was burning and sending shakes throughout her entire body.

"I-"

"Please," Vi held her free hand out towards the blue-haired girl, "W-We need to get Caitlyn back up to Piltover and then I'll come back down here with you. Please. I just want my sister back."

Caitlyn made Jinx angry.

But Caitlyn made Vi happy.

Jinx just wanted Caitlyn gone. Gone. Gone. Gone.

"You love me for who I am?"

"Always, Jinx," her hand remained outstretched. Caitlyn moved away from Vi as Jinx moved in closer, she leaned against the table for support. Her bloodied hand remained over her wound.

Jinx began to cry again as she buried her head into Vi's shoulder, Vi's heart exploded at the warmth of the hug. Vi's own eyes filled with tears, it was almost unbelievable that Powder- Jinx was in her arms again.

"Oh, Jinx."

Oh, Powder.

"W-Where will we go?" her sister asked.

"We'll figure that out. Together. Okay?" Vi assured, holding on tight. Her sister was back in her arms once again. It was perfect. A sharp whimper soon brought her out of her trance. She looked over at Caitlyn, "Cupcake?"

Caitlyn lifted her hand, fresh blood dripped freely from it, "I-I've lost a lot..."

"Shit," Vi said, panic starting to settle in, "Please, Jinx. We need to go now," she pulled back from the hug but gave her sister's hand a tight squeeze.

"Fine. But if you leave me again- I-I... I will kill her, I swear."

"I won't leave you again," Vi nodded before quickly running to Cait's side, "Can you walk?" she asked in concern.

"I-I don't know if I'll make it back to Piltover," her eyes started to close and her body started to slump down.

"No no no!" Vi quickly caught her in her arms, she was no just realising how much blood was actually pouring from the wound, "Fuck fuck fuck! Jinx! W-We need to-"

"I can help her," Jinx said.

"W-What?"

Jinx shrugged, "I... I trust that you won't leave. The voices tell me you will, but I know. I know you won't. I hope you won't. We can bring her back to Silco's. If this is what makes you stay, then I'll do it. Don't leave or-"

"O-Okay, yes. Then she can go back to Piltover. And it will just be us again, P- Jinx."

Jinx and Vi. Sisters again.

Jinx nodded.

Caitlyn had passed out, only causing Vi's worries to grow. She carried her in her arms, the glares from Jinx didn't go unnoticed.

"In here," Jinx's voice was low, Vi was extremely skeptical but she didn't have much of a choice right now. She needed Caitlyn to be okay. She needed Caitlyn to wake up so she could apologise properly, explain her reasoning for why she left.

Caitlyn had been placed on a table, dry blood stains splattered the floor. But this was the under-city, nothing new. Vi stepped back as Jinx put on a pair of old ripped gloves, "Y-You know what you're doing?"

"I've learnt a lot down here," Jinx said, she tried to keep her emotions down. She couldn't let herself lose control. She knew that if she hurt Caitlyn then Vi would leave again. And she couldn't... She couldn't go through that again. The need for Vi to stay was incredibly strong.

"Thank you... Jinx," Vi whispered, her fists clenched by her side, "I'll make it up to. For leaving."

Jinx tried her hardest to believe her. Trust issues were the biggest issue right now.

She got to work on Caitlyn, her fingers were shaky - the resistance to help was slowly growing within her, but she pressed onward. The voices. They were so loud. So noisy. So annoying. She groaned to herself before pulling down a pair of goggles, a small knife and a syringe filled with purple liquid were by her side.

"Wait wait wait," Vi stepped closer, "I-Is that Shimmer? Y-You can't, she'll-"

"Do you want me to help her or not?! Because it's already hard enough for me to actually do this," Jinx snapped, looking over her shoulder at her sister. Vi gulped, her throat was dry. She remembered back when Caitlyn had given her Shimmer, effectively saving her. She just hoped that Jinx wouldn't overdose Caitlyn. Her hand froze as it arrived near the wound, she could kill her right here. Right now.

But she didn't.

Vi chewed nervously on her already short fingernails, she felt the need to punch something but restrained herself. Caitlyn would be okay. Caitlyn would be fine. She could apologise to Caitlyn, hug her- hold her.

But first... She needed to make it up to Powder. Jinx. Her sister.

It had been a few minutes since Jinx had started her work on Caitlyn, surprisingly her fingers had stabled and she had kept a level head throughout the process. Vi pulled up a seat next to her sister, "How's it going?"

"Hmph," Jinx muttered, her eyes remained on Caitlyn. She had to keep her focus. She couldn't lose control, "It's fine!" her voice was snappier than she intended, "Sh-She'll make it. I just need to- to get the fragments out. One by one. Bit by bit. I-I can do it."

"Good. That's good. Impressive," she tried to keep the talking to a minimum, the atmosphere was already tense. The only noise that could be heard now was the shallow breathing of Caitlyn and the occasional grunt from Jinx. Vi bit her lip and looked down at the ground, "You know, Jinx? I missed you."

Jinx's movements faltered, she shook her head before continuing, "You used my name."

Deep down, Vi hated it. Hated using the name that was slowly destroying every piece of Powder's existence. But... She was going to respect her sister. Respect what she was becoming. Who she was now. She loved her sister and a name wouldn't change that.

"Yeah. I guess I did," Vi smiled up at her, Jinx quickly averted her gaze, "It's who you are. Who am I to tell you otherwise?"

Jinx's head was filled with voices. But it was also filled with confusion. Vi was here. Vi was staying. Was she staying?

"I missed you, too," Jinx's voice was low but loud enough for Vi to hear. Her smile grew at Jinx's words, that was the voice of her sister. A sister who actually missed her. Maybe a piece of Powder stilled remained.

"I treated you horribly, Jinx," Vi said, her smile dropping as she leaned back in her chair, "I'm sorry. For a lot of things. I hope... I can make it up to now. We'll be the best duo in the Lanes. Once we've got Cup- Caitlyn out of here, we can... go and grab a bite at Jericho's. Talk for a bit. You can show me what you've been up to whilst I've been gone. How's that sound?" Vi's heart hurt at the thought of never seeing Caitlyn again. Her Cupcake. The one she had betrayed. She said she wouldn't leave her barely a few hours before she did. The thoughts of her and Caitlyn spending an intimate moment together in the latter's room filled her head, she bit her lip before shifting uncomfortably in her chair.

"I... I'd like that."

Vi was so glad that she was getting somewhere with her sister, they were nowhere near as close as they used to be but it was a start. A step in the right direction. Her eyes soon shifted to the girl laid out on the table, the pinkette's eyes started to fill with tears. She'd lost everyone. Powder, Mylo, Claggor, Vander... Her parents. And she was going to lose Caitlyn, too. The only good thing coming out of this was that her sister was returning into her life. But Caitlyn. Without Caitlyn she might not have found her sister again, she would never have gotten out of Stillwater that's for sure. Without Caitlyn she might not have found out that she was capable of feeling this way for someone. Her heart ached. It ached for Caitlyn. But in a way, it also ached for Jinx.

She was starting to panic, she didn't know what to do. Could she sneak away and visit Caitlyn? No. What if Jinx found out? She'd kill Caitlyn without a second thought.

"Your breathing pattern isn't normal," Jinx spoke as she picked up the syringe.

"Wh-What?"

"I know you have a problem, so just out with it!"

Vi would have to get used to the way Jinx spoke, how on edge she always seemed, "It's nothing important-"

"It's about her, isn't it?" Jinx said, glaring down at the girl she was treating.

"Doesn't matter. She'll be gone in the next few hours." Of course it mattered, it 100% mattered.

Jinx didn't pay attention, "What's so good about her, anyways?" she jabbed the syringe into Caitlyn's arm, a little harder than anticipated, "Sh-She's just some no good enforcer from topside. I-I thought they all hated us."

"Without her, I wouldn't have found you," Vi winced as she watched the Shimmer enter Caitlyn's body, "She's a good person, Jinx."

"All she wanted was that," Jinx's eyes flickered towards the Hextech crystal on another table, its blue glow illuminated the corner of the room.

"She didn't, I promise," Vi shook her head, a small laugh escaped her, "You shoulda seen it, she's so dedicated to us all down here. Her floor is covered in papers and pointless shit about the under-city, she wants to make this place better."

Jinx's jealousy bubbled within her, she quickly removed the syringe and put it down - she didn't trust herself right now. The headache grew and grew, she stood up from her seat and stormed off to the other side of the room, "Shit! I don't know what to do!" she exclaimed to herself.

"Jinx? Hey?" Vi stood and headed over to her sister, but not before taking a quick glance at Caitlyn, "What's up?" her hand cautiously moved to her shoulder.

Jinx flinched at the contact but turned to face Vi, "You'll leave me for her. The voices told me you would. I-I'll have to kill her. I-I don't want-"

"Hey, shhh," Vi hushed her before pulling her into a hug, "I'm not going anywhere. You need me, and I need you. I just hope one day... you'll let me see Caitlyn again. And maybe, you can let her into your life. She'll love you."

Jinx's arms came up around her sister, holding her close, "Nobody loves-"

"I love you," Vi quickly silenced her, "Don't you dare ever think that you don't deserve love. Whether that be from me or someone else. Someone special," her eyes drifted over to Caitlyn, she quickly shook her head and closed her eyes before resting her cheek on the top of Jinx's head.

"You... You won't leave, will you?" Jinx was slowly starting to come around, slowly starting to actually believe what Vi was saying.

"I won't. And if I ever have to go somewhere, I'll tell you," Vi promised, warmth laced her words, "If I have to tell you I won't leave everyday, I will. Okay?"

Jinx nodded against her sister's shoulder, "Okay, Violet." Vi's shirt was definitely going to stained with tears.

Jinx sat in a chair, her feet kicked up onto a table as her hands fiddled with some new bomb she was designing. Vi was seated by Caitlyn's side, watching over her. Jinx wasn't too happy about that, but she allowed it. She trusted her sister.

Vi was tired, her head hurt. She desperately wanted to find an abandoned shack on the outskirts of the under-city and just pass out, sleep for the next few days.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a shift on the table in front of her, "Caitlyn?" Vi whispered.

Caitlyn's eyes flickered open, she groaned in agony as she tried to sit up, "A-Ah, shit-"

"Hey hey hey," Vi was quick to stand, gently pushing Caitlyn's shoulders, "Lie down, Cupcake. You need to take it easy."

Jinx's hands froze as she looked over at the pair, seething anger was rising within her but... She didn't move. She stayed put and watched on as her sister held Caitlyn's face in her hands.

"Wh-Where are we?"

"Some other shit hole in the under-city," Vi laughed, "You passed out, we needed to get you somewhere safe so... Jinx could operate."

"Jinx?" Caitlyn whispered, slightly concerned.

Vi nodded, "Yeah. She saved you. She took the bullet fragments out and... gave you some Shimmer. Just like you did for me," her thumb rubbed Caitlyn's cheek, she quickly drew her hands away once she realised what she was doing. She sat back down and looked away.

Caitlyn managed to lock eyes with Jinx on the other side of the room, "Well... Thank you, Jinx," her voice was quiet, she tried to stay as still as possible. The pain in her stomach was burning, but at least the bandage around her was tight and stopping the blood flow. She was genuinely impressed by Jinx's work, she really appreciated what she had done.

"Don't thank me. I'm the one who shot you," Jinx replied, going back to fiddling with the device in her hands.

"You didn't mean to, I don't blame you," she smiled at the girl. Jinx noticed the smile out the corner of her eye. More confusing thoughts started to enter her head. Vi smiled, Caitlyn was being soft with Jinx and that meant so much to Vi.

Jinx threw the unfinished bomb onto her work bench before jumping over towards Caitlyn and Vi, "You need anything? Water? I can grab some!"

"No. No thank you, Jinx. Really, you've done so much for me already-"

"I've heard you posh Pilties like tea, I can try and make some," Jinx needed to keep her mind occupied, so she quickly left the room without allowing Caitlyn or Vi to respond. She slammed the door behind her, humming along as she went.

Then there was silence. The two girls stole glances between each other, blushing furiously like a bunch of teenagers. Both of their hearts ached. Caitlyn thought that Vi had genuinely been using her. She thought that she was starting something special with Vi, their kisses and whispered words and the moment they had shared in her bedroom... They were meaningless to Vi.

"Hey, Caitlyn?" Vi spoke, her voices was sad, "I'm sorry. I-I didn't want to leave you, I-"

"Save it, Vi," Caitlyn muttered, "It's fine, you don't need to explain yourself," she then proceeded to try and sit up, a pained whine escaped her. Vi was quickly by her side and helped her up, she landed on her feet and almost fell. Vi was there to hold her, her arms wrapped securely around her.

"I've got you, Cupcake," she said, brushing a loose strand of hair out of the enforcer's face - that same face was extremely close to her own, too. And now her hand was cradling Caitlyn's face.

They simply stared into each other's eyes for the next few moments, Caitlyn's own gaze flickered down to Vi's lips briefly as tears started to form, "Why? Why did you leave?" Caitlyn finally broke.

"Cupcake..." Vi whispered, "I wanted to keep you safe. I hated that I dragged you into all this. If the council had agreed to help us then I'd still be up there with you. I wouldn't have left because we would've had some higher ups from Piltover on our side. With it just being us two, I-I didn't want to be the reason you... I didn't want to be the reason that Mr and Mrs Kirraman lost their daughter." Caitlyn's arms quickly came up around Vi and pulled her into a hug, the burning in her stomach was the price to pay.

"Vi..." Caitlyn muttered into her shoulder.

"I like you, Cupcake. Okay? I wouldn't have kissed you if I didn't."

"You wouldn't have done everything else, too," Caitlyn laughed as she joked, stray tears still fell from her eyes.

"I suppose you're right," Vi smiled, her hand soothingly ran up Caitlyn's back, "But I meant it when I said that we're oil and water," she felt Caitlyn clutch onto her tighter, "But... Opposites attract, yeah?"

Caitlyn huffed out a laugh of relief, "I'm not sure that's how it works."

"I don't care," she pulled away slightly to look into Caitlyn's eyes, "You're perfect, Cupcake. I'm sorry I left. And I completely understand if you don't want anything to do with me now and-"

Caitlyn kissed her. Mainly to shut her up but still. Her fingers grazed the back of Vi's neck as she pulled her in closer to deepen the kiss, Vi smiled into the kiss as she happily returned it. Vi's hands rested on Caitlyn's waist, making sure to hold her steady - still keeping the wound in mind.

"Still taste sweet like a cupcake," Vi whispered once they pulled away, she rested her forehead against the enforcer's.

"You're lucky I like you too," Caitlyn pecked her lips once more.

"I'm more than lucky."

Vi was about to go in for another kiss... But of course, Jinx had to happen.

The door literally blew off its hinges in a giant explosion, "Ta da!" she exclaimed, both Vi and Caitlyn retreated from each other slightly - not wanting to trigger Jinx in any way. Vi had her arm around Caitlyn's shoulders to support her.

"J-Jinx!" Vi stuttered, "You-!"

"I. MADE. TEA."

"O-Oh?" Caitlyn said, "Lets see."

Jinx giggled before running over, a cup in her hand, the liquid splashed over the side, "Take a look at my masterpiece!" she handed it to Caitlyn who cautiously accepted it, the cup was at least warm so that was a start.

Both Vi and Caitlyn looked into the cup, they were extremely skeptical, "Well it's uhhh..." Vi cleared her throat, "It's a liquid."

"Yessss!" Jinx nodded, excited.

Caitlyn didn't particularly want to drink it... But she also didn't particularly want Jinx to blow her head off. So she did it. Just one tiny sip. She held it in, desperately trying not to choke on the awful taste.

"W-Wow," Caitlyn coughed, "Mmm, i-it's interesting. I-"

"YOU HATE IT!" Jinx rolled her eyes. Vi was prepared to protect Caitlyn, but Jinx instead grabbed the cup and downed it herself, "No problem! You Pilties have weird taste! I get it!" she then threw the cup onto the ground, causing it smash into pieces.

Vi definitely expected Jinx to shoot Caitlyn right then and there. But instead, she just happily bounced back over to her work bench and worked on her bomb again.

"Well... Didn't expect that," Caitlyn whispered.

"Me neither," Vi said, looking over at her sister.

The three had made it to the bridge that lead to Piltover. It was dark and the bridge was still partially destroyed, but luckily the bright moon and lights along the way helped guide them - effectively stopping them from falling into any holes.

Caitlyn's hand clutched her stomach in pain as she leaned on Vi, it had taken them quite some time to leave the under-city. Jinx was behind them every step of the way... But she wasn't glaring at them. No. She was looking at them with sadness in her eyes. Confusing sadness.

"You okay?" Vi asked for the 100th time.

"Yes. Thank you, Vi," Caitlyn replied again. Jinx hadn't stopped either of them from talking all the way up here. This worried Vi a lot, she had assumed that Jinx would kill the both of them a lot sooner.

They neared the end of the bridge, Vi's grip around Caitlyn's waist had grown tighter. She didn't want to let go. Caitlyn didn't want to let go, either.

But they did.

"You sure you can make it back from here on your own?" Vi asked, reluctantly letting go of Caitlyn. The latter moved to grab onto the railing of the bridge.

"Y-Yes. I will be fine. There will be some enforcers patrolling around here soon, I'll have them take me home," she had so much to say, but she couldn't. Not whilst Jinx was there. Not whilst Vi was about to leave for good, it would only hurt the both of them even more.

Jinx's head was confused, her heart was confused.

"Come here," Caitlyn finally whispered, a sob left her lips. Vi moved without thinking, she pulled Caitlyn into a hug - apologising after Caitlyn whined from the pain.

Jinx didn't want to hurt Caitlyn. Jinx didn't want to hurt Caitlyn? What was going on? She stood there and watched Vi hug the woman, a lot tighter than just a pair of friends would do.

"It's been real, Cupcake," Caitlyn's breath hitched at those words, the same words she had used when they were first going to part ways on this very bridge. If Vi had actually left... Then they would never have kissed, never have been through any of this. The pain in her heart would probably never have existed.

"I'll miss you," Caitlyn muttered, "You'll visit, right?"

Vi's tears finally fell free, "M-Maybe one day, Cait."

Jinx looked down at the floor, her own tears started to drop. Vi had told her that she loved her... And she believed it. Despite what the voices were saying, she believed it. Jinx believed that she deserved the love from her sister. She trusted Vi. She looked back up to see her sister pull away from Caitlyn, both of their breaths were shaky. Jinx took a step back...

Vi turned around to look at her, "Ready to go, Jinx?"

Jinx looked at Vi. And then at Caitlyn. And then back at Vi.

She pulled her pistol out and aimed it at Vi, "No."

Vi quickly put her hands up, "J-Jinx!? What are you doing?!" fear rose within her, did she do something wrong? Was the hug too much? No no no, she was about to get her sister back. Her family. She-

Jinx laughed before aiming her gun straight up into the sky, "You take care of my sister, okay Piltie?"

"Wh-What? Jinx?" Vi started again.

"Shut up, Violet," Jinx rolled her eyes, but a playful smirk remained on her face, "You were always so annoying. Listen up, Vi. You belong up here. Topside."

"But..." Vi was confused. Caitlyn was too, but she didn't want to intervene on their conversation.

"I trust you, Vi," Jinx said, her voice surprisingly soft, "Just visit, okay?"

"Pow- Jinx," Vi headed over to her sister, "I've just got you back. I-I can't lose you-"

Jinx fired the gun into the sky, causing both Vi and Caitlyn the flinch in response at the loud noise. The ringing in their ears died down as Jinx spoke again, "Enforcers will be here any minute," Jinx smiled, "Stay here, Vi. As long as you don't leave me for good, I'll be okay. Besides, I made some friends down in the under-city. They're probably crying right now, missing me sooooo much," she giggled to herself.

"Jinx..." Vi sighed before hugging her sister tight, not wanting to let go, "I'll always be with you," one of her hands came up to rest above Jinx's heart, "Always, okay? I'm so sorry I left you. Never again. If you need me... Well, I'm sure you'll find a way to get to me."

"I broke into Piltie's house already, I can do it again!"

"Please don't!" Caitlyn exclaimed causing both of the sisters to laugh.

The pair stepped away from each other, "I'll visit tomorrow. Jericho's?" Vi suggested.

"If I feel like it," Jinx teased.

Vi nudged her sister's shoulder, "I'll bring some posh topside food for you to try."

"Pass," Jinx grimaced at the thought before nodding, "I'll hang around Jericho's. 'Kay?"

The distant sound of footsteps and shouts started to get closer. Enforcers.

Vi nodded before pulling her into one more hug, "Thank you, Jinx," her hand cradled the back of her neck, "My sister. Always."

Jinx was finally happy. Her heart was being fixed piece by piece. A part of her hated that Caitlyn was going to have most of the attention... But she knew the look in Vi's eyes whenever she looked at the enforcer. The mixture of sadness and love. It weirdly broke Jinx's heart... Despite hating Vi for feeling this way, she knew that Vi would come back. Tomorrow. And any other day that she asked her to after that. And maybe she would accept Caitlyn into her life, too.

"Next time I see you, Piltie," Jinx pointed at Caitlyn as she pulled away from Vi, "I will give you the best tea you've ever had."

Caitlyn laughed and smiled warmly, "I look forward to it, Jinx."

"Over there!" an enforcer exclaimed in the distance.

Jinx said her goodbyes before turning and running off back down the bridge and towards the under-city. One last tear fell from Vi's eye as she watched her sister run. She finally turned back to Caitlyn once Jinx was out of sight, covered by the fog.

"I got you, Cupcake," Vi said, offering her support.

Caitlyn's head rested under Vi's chin, their arms around each other. The covers of Caitlyn's bed were keeping them warm. They'd arrived back at the Kirraman residence deep into the night, this time they favoured the door but still... Mrs Kirraman still decided to aim her gun at them.

"I can't believe your mom almost shot me again," Vi said, inhaling Caitlyn's scent. She couldn't quite believe that she was here in her arms.

"She worries about me," she laughed, her hand ran down Vi's toned stomach, "She likes you, though. Told me herself earlier."

"Can't believe you actually told her I'm your girlfriend."

Caitlyn rolled her eyes, "I didn't tell her! She insisted that you were, I couldn't exactly lie. She sees right through me."

Vi's heart pounded hard, "Y-You mean it? We're actually-?"

"Yes, Violet," Caitlyn leaned up, pinning Vi's body beneath hers, "If you'll have me."

"Only if you'll have me," Vi smiled up at Caitlyn.

"You sure Jinx won't kill me?"

Vi nodded, "She likes you deep down. Just gonna take some time for her to get used to you. She made you tea, didn't she?"

"If you can call that tea," Caitlyn smiled, leaning down to offer a deep and soft kiss. Vi's hands ran up her sides.

"Hows the pain?" she made sure to ask.

"Shut up, Vi," Caitlyn groaned in frustration before connecting their lips once again, Vi laughed before moaning into the enforcer's mouth.

It was going to be a long night.
