Here Comes the Sun

Chapter 18

By: The Duchess of Arendelle

AN: Sorry it took me so long to update! Here's a new chapter for you guys, hope you enjoy! Sorry for any mistakes.

After a few minutes of idle chatter between the three young royals, Adam excused himself.

"Well this has been fun. It was wonderful talking to the two of you, and Elsa, I had a fantastic time cooking with you." Adam said, smoothly standing from the chair he was seated in. Anna began to protest his departure.

"What? No, you just got here, plus you haven't even tasted the quiche yet!" the redhead exclaimed, motioning to the platter of food still cooling on the side table. Adam smiled and chuckled lightly.

"I never intended to stay long enough to eat it anyway. Besides…" he trailed off, smirking wickedly.

"Wouldn't you two like some alone time?" he finished with a wink. He full on laughed at the horrified look on both of their faces. Before they could say anything, Adam had turned on his heels and sauntered out the door, laughing the whole while. Anna and Elsa were left to cast nervous glances at each other as things turned awkward.

"Sooo…." Anna was the first to speak, trailing off and looking to the side.

"Sooo…." Elsa repeated looking to the floor.

"About what happened earlier… you know on the hill when we…." Anna began. Elsa looked up nervously.

"Did you not like it? Because if you didn't I-" Anna quickly cut Elsa off, assuring the girl that she did indeed like it.

"Oh no, no, no, no! I liked it, I totally liked it, I loved it!" she said, flailing her hands around. Elsa looked slightly relieved and confused. Anna saw this and pressed on.

"It's just… I was wondering…if, you know, if that was something that we'd be doing again?" she asked as her hands tightened around her bed sheets. Elsa looked up startled and stared at Anna, mouth agape. She fumbled over her words a little before finally stuttering out her response.

"I- I, I would be willing to…only if you are." Elsa's face was bright red and Anna thought it was the most adorable sight ever.

"Oh, I'm totally willing to." Anna responded with a wide grin. Elsa's blush darkened but she smiled. The two royals sat smiling at each other until a loud ungodly sound broke the silence. Anna looked down at her stomach in horror and Elsa couldn't help but laugh at her sister's embarrassment.

"Looks like someone's hungry." She joked, covering her mouth as she continued to laugh. Anna pouted and groaned.

"Elsa! It's not funny! I'm starved, I haven't eaten since breakfast." She whined as she covered her bright red face with both hands. Elsa reigned in her laughter and moved closer to Anna. She grabbed both of the redhead's hands and removed them from her face, holding them gently in her grasp. Elsa began to close the distance between them and their lips met in a chaste kiss. The kiss was short lived but it was still enough to take Anna's breath away.

"Wow, can we do that like a billion more times?" The redhead whispered dazedly. Elsa giggled, nodding her head and leaning in for another kiss.

'Urrggrurr' Anna's stomach growled again and this time she joined Elsa in her laughter.

"Come on, let's feed that beast in your stomach." Elsa joked, reaching for the platter of quiche. She dished them each a plate and poured the tea. Anna was the first to dig in, taking a huge, unlady like bite of the pastry. Her eyes instantly rolled back in her head and she let out a low groan of pleasure.

"Oh. My. God. Elsa, this is delicious!" she said excitedly, shoveling in another mouthful of the delectable pastry. Elsa took a small bite of her own, and she had to agree with Anna, it was certainly delicious.

An hour later and three more slices of quiche for Anna, found the girls trying and failing to keep their eyes open, the day's events finally catching up with them. At some point, Elsa had climbed into the hospital bed with her sister and was now struggling to stay awake.

"I'm tired Anna." Elsa whispered into the redhead's ear. Anna was currently curled up against the blonde ice queen, face nuzzling into the crook of Elsa's neck. She breathed in her sister's scent, Elsa smelled like fresh mint and winter.

"I know, me too." She replied sleepily.

"I better go then." Elsa said, trying to untangle herself from Anna's limbs. Anna tightened her grip on Elsa and whined out.

"Nooo, stay. Please?" she asked, jutting out her bottom lip and looking up at Elsa with sleepy eyes. Elsa sighed hard and laid back down.

"No fair Anna, you can't just whip out the puppy dog face like that." Elsa said as she grabbed an extra blanket and laid it over the two of them. Anna smiled, satisfied, and cuddled closer to her love.

"Anna… Anna… Anna wake up!" Kristoff whispered as he gently shook the redhead.

"Whasup?" Anna mumbled out still asleep. Rapunzel stood beside Kristoff and rolled her eyes impatiently as the boy moved to shake the sleeping redhead again. He had been trying to wake her for five minutes now.

"Move it Bjorgman, let me show you how to wake someone up properly." She said as she marched past the blonde mountain man. She spotted a jug of water and smiled evilly. Slowly, she picked up the jug and walked to Anna's bedside.

"Anna…" she called out sweetly. The redhead stirred slightly but didn't wake. "Wake up Anna." Rapunzel said as she tilted the jug up and over the sleeping princess's head. Anna's eyes snapped open as she sputtered and failed her limbs about.

"Wh- what the- huh?!" Anna's eyes scanned the room in search of the person responsible for her current soggy state. Her eyes immediately landed on two laughing blondes.

"What the heck guys? Not okay!" Anna said, wiping the water from her face.

"You wouldn't wake up." Rapunzel said simply. Anna rolled her eyes and threw the soaking covers aside.

"Whatever. Wait…" Something was missing. She looked to her side only to see it was empty.

"Where's Elsa?" she asked. Kristoff spoke up first, still slightly chuckling as he sat beside her on the bed.

"She was called to a conference by her advisors early this morning. She wanted to let you rest a while longer so she sent us to watch over you. But it looked like you were going to sleep the entire day away." He explained. Hmm. Elsa was called into a conference? She hoped it was nothing too serious…

"Now, are you going to voluntarily explain to us what the heck happened yesterday, or are we going to have to drag it out of you?" Rapunzel asked, menacingly holding up the rest of the jug water. Anna rolled her eyes again then smiled.

"Fine…" she said, then recounted all of yesterday's events to her two friends.

Meanwhile…

Elsa walked into the royal conference room, head held high, poised as ever. She slowly walked over to the head of the long rectangular mahogany table, taking the largest and most elaborate seat for herself. The men all stood at attention as they watched their queen regally take her seat. Elsa sat and motioned for the gentlemen to follow. They all took their seats as silence filled the room. Elsa raised a perfectly arched eyebrow as she looked at them, waiting for someone to speak up. She sighed inwardly when she saw them all looking around at each other nervously.

"Well?" Elsa began. "I do believe you all called this meeting. May I ask why?" she said demurely. She was in full fledge ice queen mode and if she were to be honest, she was still a little upset with them all for falling for Sir Edmond's plan. Speaking of, the serpent of man was nowhere to be seen. Finally one of her council member's, a tall slim man with slicked back hair and a thin mustache, cleared his throat and spoke up.

"Well, you see your majesty, the council and the people are concerned about yesterday's events-" Elsa instantly cut the man off with the raise of her slender pale hand.

"Rest your minds. Tell the people that it was nothing to fear, just a slight misunderstanding. Everything has been sorted out. Their queen does not plan on freezing the entirety of Arendelle again." Elsa spoke firmly.

"She may not plan on it, but that doesn't mean it won't happen." A voice spoke from the doorway. All eyes turn towards the figure and Elsa scowled when she saw who it was.

"Sir Edmond, so nice of you to join us." Elsa said flatly. Edmond smirked and walked further into the room. He sat down beside the man who had just spoken and nodded his acknowledgement to the queen.

"Queen Elsa. Looking lovely as always." He said, leering distastefully at the queen. Elsa's face remained passive but inside she was boiling with anger. Edmond smirked even more and continued.

"I apologize for my tardiness, after all, I am the one who called this meeting…"
