Here Comes The Sun

Chapter 24

By: The Duchess of Arendelle

AN: Sorry for the wait but I have all my stories on a schedule now so you know when to expect them. Starting next update, this story with be updated every other Sunday. My other story will be updated every other Friday. And I think No Happy Endings will be updated every 3 weeks. I can't update every week because of my hectic school and work schedule, but you will get a new chapter of this story and my other one every two weeks, and this way you won't have to guess and wonder when I'll update again. Anyway, this was the last chapter before the ball. Next couple of chapters will take place the day of the ball and it will spiral down from there. What I have planned… you just have to read and see.

"Ok here we are!" Anna proudly proclaimed as she sat down the picnic basic under the shade of the giant weeping willow. There was only one day left until the ball and Elsa had proclaimed that she would be spending it with her sister and that she was not to be disturbed unless there was a serious emergency. Her advisors had all given each other skeptic looks, some looked as though they wanted to object, but one scathing look from the ice queen herself had them nodding in agreement. The blonde had then quickly left the conference room to find Anna. She found the redhead lounging in the library with Adam, playing a game of chess. Anna's face instantly brightened when she saw the full head of blonde hair heading her way. "Elsa! You actually got out of your duties!" she exclaimed as she ran over and engulfed the blonde in a hug. Elsa smiled and blushed at the show of affection, she was still getting use to people like Adam knowing about them. "I told you I would." She whispered lowly, returning the hug. Anna beamed up at the queen as she bounced on the tips of her toes. "So, what would you like to do today?" the redhead asked excitedly. Elsa laughed lightly. "Well, I was hoping maybe you had some ideas…" the blonde trailed off. Anna looked at her, smile stretching ear to ear. "I may have a few…"

"Slow down Anna, please." Elsa said as she joined the overly excited redhead under the willow tree. Anna smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry Elsa, I'm just so excited! I have you for the entire day!" she gushed. Elsa smiled back and walked over to her sister, grabbing her gently around the waste and pressing a chaste kiss to her lips. "So let's enjoy it." She said after breaking the contact. Anna nodded excitedly and gestured towards the waiting picnic basket. "Shall we unpack?" Elsa smiled and nodded once as she walked towards the basket and began to help Anna lay down the blanket and organized the food.

Gerda had made quite the spread. All of both Anna and Elsa's favorites were there. As they finished laying out the spread, the two sisters sat across from each other. Anna began dishing their plates while Elsa stared at the redhead. The sun was high in the sky, its rays beating down on them. From where she was sitting, the sun looked to be shinning directly behind Anna, engulfing the girl in light. She looked like she was glowing. "You look like an angel right now." Elsa whispered. Anna instantly looked up from her task and blushed at Elsa's words. She shyly reached up to tuck a piece of fallen hair behind her ear. It just made her look even more gorgeous in Elsa's eyes. "You're the beautiful one Elsa… I'm just… me." Anna responded, still blushing from Elsa's statement. Elsa looked at her dumbfounded. "Just you? Anna… 'Just you' is enough to make my heart feel like it's about to beat its way out of my chest. 'Just you' is enough to send my head spinning and make my legs feel like they're made of gelatin every time you kiss me. 'Just you' is enough… is enough to make me want and long for something, for someone's touch… more than I've ever wanted anything. Anna, there is no such thing as 'Just you." Elsa told the shocked and blushing redhead across from her, grabbing the princesses hands and squeezing them lightly to get her point across. Anna's eyes began to water at Elsa's impromptu speech. All her life she felt as if Elsa was the beautiful graceful swan, and that she was the clumsy ugly duckling. Out of the many times Elsa had called her gorgeous, or beautiful, now she actually felt like she was. Anna gave Elsa a watery smile and leaned over to capture the blonde's lips in an adoring kiss. After a few minutes both girls broke the contact, breathless. "I love you, so much Elsa." Anna whispered, forehead leaning against the blonde queen's as a single tear fell from her eye and traveled down her cheek. Elsa responded by placing another small kiss on the redhead's lips and bringing a hand up to wipe the tear away. "I love you too." She finally whispered back.

After that, the two began their picnic. The food Gerda had prepared was absolutely delicious. They talked and laughed and joked and kissed as they dined under the willow tree. There was never a silent moment as Anna rambled and talked excitedly and Elsa watched the redhead's lips move and smiled lovingly at the girl. In the back of her mind she knew they were talking about everything except the one thing they needed to talk about, and as the evening stretched on and long after the leftover food was packed up, they still laid there on the blanket, under the tree avoiding the things that needed to be said. The sun was beginning to set now and the conversation had finally died down. In the silence, the two sisters laid on their backs, staring at the beautiful hues in the sky. Elsa turned her head to stare at Anna, and smiled to herself as she saw the girl engrossed in gazing up at the rapidly darkening sky. "The view is beautiful, isn't it?" Anna asked the blonde, not bothering to turn and look at her. Elsa's smile widen as she continued to stare at her sister profile. "Yes it is." She whispered. Anna finally turned her head to the side to look at the blonde. She smiled when she realized Elsa was talking about her and not the sky. She reached over and grabbed the ice queen's hand, binging it up to her lips and lightly placing a kiss to the inside of her palm. She smiled sadly at Elsa, and the blonde knew why.

"I love you. No matter what happens tomorrow I want you to know that I love you and only you." Elsa whispered to the redhead, tears now forming in her eyes. Anna instantly moved closer to the blonde, wrapping her arms tightly around her waist and pulling her closer. "I know. I know, I love you too. Don't worry about tomorrow. We have today. Let's enjoy it." Anna whispered into the blonde's hair as she felt cold tears begin to soak into the fabric of her dress. "I'm so scared of what might happen. I don't want to do this Anna, I don't. I don't want to lose you." Elsa sobbed into Anna's shoulder. The redhead's eyes began to water but she quickly pushed the tears back. She grabbed Elsa's shoulders and pushed the blonde back slightly so she could look her in the eyes. "Elsa, everything will be fine. I won't let anyone take you away from me. You're my heart and I can't… I won't live without you. I won't lose you." Anna told the blonde, bringing her hands up to swipe away the fallen tears. Elsa stared back at the redhead, once again wondering what the girl was planning. She was about to voice her question when Anna gently placed an index finger to her lip. "I know what you are about to ask. I can't tell you my plan. I can't risk you being involved. But it will work. We will be together." She told the blonde replacing her finger with her lips. Elsa sighed after they broke the contact but smiled lightly up at the redhead. "Promise?" she asked in a breathless voice. Anna looked unsure for a moment, but it was quickly replaced with determination. "I promise."

The sun had finally set by the time the two monarchs made it back down the hill side. Their horses were exhausted and so were they, but as Anna glanced over the glistening fjord partially hidden by a group of willow trees, she couldn't help the idea that sprung into her head. She smiled wickedly to herself as she pulled on the reigns of her horse to take her to the waters. Elsa looked confused and changed her horse's course as well to follow behind Anna. "Anna, where are you going?" she asked the redhead. Anna said nothing and continued to lead them towards the fjord. When they reached the edge Anna quickly dismounted. Elsa followed, looking at her sister as if she were mad. "Anna, why are we at the fjord? We need to get back to the castle, Kai and the others must be worried sick about us." Elsa asked as she stopped in front of the smiling redhead. "Let's swim." Was Anna's simple reply. Elsa looked at the water then back at her sister. Now she was definitely sure the redhead had gone mad. "What? No. Anna it must be well past the witching hour, plus we have no swimwear." Elsa pointed out. Anna continued to smile as she stepped closer to the blonde.

"Yes we do." She responded cheekily grabbing a hold of Elsa's dress and letting it go. She then began to slowly back away. Elsa looked on with a raised eyebrow until she saw what Anna was doing. The redhead had reached behind herself and unzipped the back of her dress. "No. Anna, no. We can't!" Elsa began to protest. Anna ignored her and shimmied out of her dress. "Anna don't." Elsa warned. The redhead continued to ignore her as reached for the bottom of her underdress and brought it over her head. The redhead was now standing in her white bra and panties. Elsa swallowed hard and called the redhead's name in a final halfhearted attempt to get her sister to stop. "Anna…" she trailed off as Anna unhooked her bra and threw it to the side. She then grabbed hold of the waist of her underwear, slowly sliding them down. Anna raised an eyebrow at the silent, gawking blonde. "You were saying?" she asked making her way into the water. Elsa stood there, rooted to the spot, image of Anna's naked body bathed in moonlight engraved into her head. The sound of a splash brought Elsa out of her trance and she looked to see Anna back stroking in the fjord, bare chest bobbing above the water. She looked over at Elsa expectedly. The blonde was momentarily distracted by the sound of a hard wind blowing through the trees but pushed it aside and swiftly brought her hand up, dissolving her ice dress with a single flick of the wrist. She definitely didn't need any more convincing.

AN: Here you go guys and gals. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Next chapter begins on the day of the ball. If you have any questions or suggestions review or PM me, I love hearing from you guys and I'd really like it if you had any specific Disney characters you'd like to see cameo at the ball. Love you all! See you in 2 weeks kittens! :)

BTW: The witching hour is between 12 a.m or 12 p.m if you didn't know. And it's when a witch, warlock, demon, ghost, sorcerer, etc powers are said to be strongest, but Elsa is just using it to describe how late it is. BUT, this story is about to take a big supernatural turn so I thought I'd remind you guys of that.
