Here Comes The Sun

Chapter 32

By: The Duchess of Arendelle

AN: SORRY. It took me a while to update and I just give you this itty bitty chapter. By my standards at least. I know. But I'm going to give you guys the same deal that I do for my other story now. One or two maybe even 3 really short chapters every week instead of one really long chapter once a month. Or I can do the one really long chapter once a month if that's what you guys prefer. Let me know so I can go ahead and implement it. Enjoy this lil ol chapter! Sorry for any and all mistakes!

Elsa's eyes fluttered open early the next morning. Squinting, she glanced over at the large grandfather clock in the corner of her room. 5:38 A.M. It was still early enough for Anna to sneak out of her chambers unnoticed. Looking over at said redhead, she couldn't help but smile down at the blissfully sleeping princess. She looked marvelous. The covers hung slightly off her still completely naked figure as she slept, arms snuggling her pillow and legs spread in a crazy position. Her wild bedhead covered half of her face, and Elsa couldn't help but let out a quiet giggle at the soft snoring the redhead was admitting.

Elsa was in love. Truly and completely. She knew she would never love anyone as much as she loved the girl… no… woman, lying next to her.

….Which was why she knew what she had to do. She'd known from the moment that photo was placed in her hand. Edmond was not to be taken lightly. He was evil. And smart, and conniving, and apparently possessed a power that rivaled her own. He had evidence that could ruin her life, but more importantly, Anna's.

As she gazed back at the sleeping beauty beside her, there was no smile on her face. Just grim determination. She was happy last night happened. They had both poured every bit of passion they felt for each other into their love making. They ravished each other again and again, late into the night until neither of them could keep their eyes open. Her lips still tingled as she remembered the feel of Anna's lips gently pressing against her own.

Elsa bent down and placed a chaste kiss on Anna's lips. A goodbye kiss of sorts. The redhead stirred slightly but soon settled back into her peaceful slumber, slight smile on her pink lips. Elsa stared at Anna for a long moment.

And she let one single tear drop from her icy blue eyes.

Slowly and carefully, she removed the covers from her own naked frame and crept out of the large bed. She looked back to check and make sure Anna was still fast asleep. When she heard the redhead let out a slightly louder snore and snuggle deeper into the covers, she turned and made her way to her vanity. Grabbing her discarded robe from beside the bed, she quickly put it on and sat down in front of the large mirror. She made a conscious effort not to look at her own reflection. She didn't want to look at herself right now. Especially after what she was about to do.

Reaching down to her right, she opened a drawer on the vanity and withdrew a light blue piece of stationary paper. She traced her fingers over the little sparkly white snowflakes that delicately danced on the corners of the paper. The stationary set had been a gift from her father. One of the last she had ever received from him. She had only used it once before, when she 16 and attempted to write a letter to Anna telling her that she did still care about her. That she did still love her. Missed her and wanted to see her. She had planned on sticking it under her door when she was sure the redhead was asleep. But she had chickened out. She'd torn the paper up into a million pieces and cried for hours, curled up in a ball as snow and ice raged all around her room.

It's funny how history can repeat itself.

The blonde's hand shook as she picked up the pen, feathers lightly brushing against her skin. She was a coward. She knew that much. Because she sat there in front of her mirror, writing a letter to Anna explaining how she has never loved someone and never would love someone as much as her, but that they could no longer be together. That she had a responsibility to their deceased parents. And to her kingdom, and to her people, and yes, even to Anna herself. She couldn't let Anna be hated. She couldn't put Anna in danger. She begged the redhead to understand. She had to marry.

She sat there and wrote about how she would always care for Anna. She sat there and wrote that she would always be her sister and that no one could take that away from them.

She sat there and wrote that it was over.

And then… she silently cried.

A frozen tear drop hit the paper and she had to strain to keep her ice powers at bay. She slowly walked over to the bed. The same bed that Anna and herself had just spent the most amazing night of their lives… and she sat the letter that would end it on the pillow next to the oblivious redhead.

"I am so sorry Anna."

AN: Yep. Yep. Uh huh. I figure this story has only now just begun. There is so much more ahead you guys don't even know! Things are seriously gonna pick up now. Now comes the real drama and action and fantasy and adventure. And I probably shouldn't be SPOILING this for you, but yes, even romance. So sit tight. This IS an ELSANNA story after all. And just trust me guys. It's about to get good. I figure this story will probably hit 100 chapters or more by the time it's finished. And I want to finish both this and Tell Me How To Fix You before 2016 comes. So the story won't be moving at a snails pace anymore. Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed!

BTW you guys, your input really lets me know if you all are satisfied or not. So please, seriously do not hesitate to contact me if you are confused about something, or have a question or suggestion about something. I am always open to criticism and ideas. If it wasn't for people pointing out my writing mistakes, trust me, there would be a LOT more than there already are! So thank you for that! :)
