Pokémon XY: Road of Rainbow
Chapter 3-Meeting Serena
Following Rainbow's victory at the Santalune Gym, she and her Swellow made their way Professor Sycamore's Lab on Lumiose City. As they walked the commotion going on a Pokémon managed to steal a berry from the market. And of course, both chased after it and managed to catch it. Rainbow let the Pokémon out and it turned out to a Pansear.
"I hoped you learned your lesson, Pansear!" Rainbow explained while folding her arms. Pansear stick his tongue out at her. "Man, you are hot-headed. Then again, you are a Fire-Type. Pun Intended." As sweat appeared by her head.
"Excuse Me." A voice called.
"Yes?" Rainbow called turning around to see a girl with a pink hat, red skirt, black sleeveless shirt and blonde hair. "Do you where Santalune Gym is?" the girl asked. "Sure, why?" Rainbow asked.
"Well, a childhood friend of my is heading towards to the gym for his badge, so…" The girl explained.
"Childhood friend? …What's his name?" Rainbow asked.
"His name is Ash from Pallet Town!" The girl answered smiling.
"Ash? Well, I've heard of him, but I don't he here yet… "Rainbow explained
"I see…" The girl sighed.
"Oh, by the way the name's Rainbow Dash. Yours?" She asked.
"My name is Serena! Nice to meet you, Rai-Huh" Serena started but stopped. She to see that Swellow was right behind her trainer!"
"What is something the matter?" She asked.
"Are you the call the Swellow Girl? The girl who battles with a Swellow?" Serena asked.
"Yeah. What about it?" Rainbow answered.
"It just that…You're pretty famous in Aquadore and Vaniville Town." Serena exclaimed.
"Me? Famous…Geez…" Rainbow muttered. Then Pansear growled at them.
"Really you still want go on!?" Rainbow asked.
"Is that yours?" Asked Serena
"Yeah, it's pretty stubborn…." Rainbow answered whiling sighing.
One Intense Battle Later…
"So, Serena you're a Pokémon Trainer too, right?" Rainbow asked her.
"Y-Yes. Why?" Serena asked.
"I'd like to see how you do in battle." Rainbow answered while Swellow got in a battle stance.
"A battle…? I don't know…" Serena replied sadly.
"If you haven't battled then this perfect time to do so." Rainbow explained.
"Okay…Come on out Fennekin!" Serena shouted. The Fire-Type starter appeared from her Pokeball. "Fennekin, this'll be our first battle! Let's make this count, okay?" She explained.
"Kin!" The Fox Pokémon agreed. It then turned to face Swellow! Rainbow smirked and prepared for battle as well. "Alright then. Let's go!" Rainbow called.
Serena: Fennekin vs Rainbow: Swellow
"Use Ember!" Serena called. Fennekin charged at Swellow and spouted out Ember!
"Dodge it!" Rainbow called. Swellow flew into air dodging the Ember!
"Fennekin! Ember, again!" Ember fired up to Swellow.
"Use Air Cutter!" Rainbow yelled. The Ember was canceled out by the Air Cutter.
"Now use Aerial Ace!" Rainbow commanded.
"Dodge It!" Serena called.
Fennekin attempted to dodge the attack until Swellow startle her and slashed her in the air.
"Fennekin!" Serena gasped.
"Now, Swellow! Brave Bird! Then, Sky Attack!" Rainbow shouted as Swellow delver a fearsome Brave Bird and Sky Attack!
"Oh no!" Serena gasped.
As the smoke clears, Swellow was flying in the air without a scratch. Fennekin groaned as she fainted from the attacks.
"Looks like we win!" Rainbow smirked. "Swell." Swellow agreed.
Rainbow Winner!
Serena ran over to Fennekin and check her out. "Are you okay?" Serena asked. "Fen…" The Fox Pokémon groaned. "Oh man…We didn't stand a chance…" She whispered.
"Let take Fennekin to Pokémon Center. She'll be oaky there." Rainbow suggested.
"Right." Serena replied.
Later…
"Here you go! Fennekin is feeling much better now!" Nurse Joy exclaimed.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy!" Serena thanked, taking Fennkin's Pokeball and putting it in her purse.
Meanwhile Rainbow was talking to Professor Sycamore. Apparently, word has gotten her and her Swellow have unique battle style. She thought about for a minute then gladly accept the Professor request.

After Rainbow her Pokémon from Nurse Joy, her Holo-Caster started to ring as Alexa send her a message. The message revealed that Ash had just made to Santalune City and was about to challenge the Gym. Rainbow send a message that she sees the battle.
As Rainbow and Swellow were about to leave, Serena stopped them.
"Wait! I'm going with you!" She demanded.
The Aqaucorde Trainer was confused as she turns to her. "Why?" Rainbow asked.
"Well, I said before that Ash was my childhood friend. So… I think that it was about time that I see him again. I want to see him in Gym battle. Serena explained.
"If he really important to you then by all means come along." Rainbow chuckled a bit.
"Thanks." Serena thanked. With both trainers and Swellow left the Pokémon Center to head the Santalune Gym. There, both might have a chance to see Ash. What will they know if they head there? Stay tuned.
