Just know, Darken is my boi, as is all the Curtains.

The next day:

Error was busy sewing a new piece for his collection, as he quickly put it away when he heard an opening closeby.

"Hey best buddy," Ink said with a wave, as Error rolled his eyes and turned towards him.

"Stop calling me that, idiot," Error said as he then noticed that Ink wasn't alone and that Dream was also waiting within the portal that was opened.

"I brought a few friends this time. You know Dream already, but here's a new guy," Ink said with a wink, as he gestured to the new guy before them.

Error examined the new guy carefully, noticing the eyepatch in the shape of a lightning bolt over his eye, and chains wrapped on each leg and around the waist of his coat like accessories. His coat was black above where the chains were on his waist and grey on the bottom half with floofy spikes around the collar, and a blue shirt underneath it. He wore steel sandals with grey socks, and black pants that flared a little on the bottom.

"…"

"…"

The two skeletons said nothing at first, just examining one another through careful observance, though Error showed more hostility then he did as he was more laidback about it. Ink looked between them and then back at Dream, and Dream just shrugged his shoulders.

"Sooo Error, this is Darken, the one I told you about yesterday. And Darken, this is Error. I told you I knew him!" Ink said proudly, as Error glanced towards him.

"Right. You sure showed me, Ink. Now that I've seen him, I believe ya through and through," Darken said with a semi-smirk, as Error narrowed his eyes at him.

"Why do I get the impression you really wanted to meet me?" Error asked.

"… Maybe I'm just curious. Especially after meeting this guy here, I was wondering if you were actually real too," Darken said as he pointed towards Ink.

"Well now you know. Goodbye," Error said as he turned away from him.

"Now hold on, Error. You said you were going to come with us today. You gave your word when you said 'Whatever,' and I took that to heart," Ink said.

"Hmph. What heart?" Error said.

"Ha! Now that's cold, Error," Ink said with a chuckle.

"Ink, if he doesn't want to, he doesn't have to," Dream said.

"Aww, but-" Ink stopped speaking when Dream continued,

"If he feels threatened by Darken, I'm sure there's nothing we can do to help."

Error quickly approached the portal where Dream was, as Dream backed up a bit with his hands up as Error threatenly pointed at him,

"Listen you! I don't feel threatened by any of you, and especially not him! Alright?!"

Dream nodded as he couldn't help but smile, as Error grew a little annoyed, but more so when he heard Darken chuckle,

"You uh… really think you're up for it, old man? Don't know if you can handle hanging out with us youngins. I mean, you and Ink could but me and Dream are pretty much youngbois at heart and-"

"Shut your freaking trap and let's freaking go so you jerks can leave me alone after I kick your you-know-what after this!" Error said to Darken.

Darken shrugged with a wink and said, "Alright man. No need to get so tense. Let's try to have some fun at least. I'm actually glad to meet ya. Yer a pretty interesting dude, actually."

Error took a moment to process the compliment that came out of nowhere, as Darken and Ink walked ahead to the portal to Dream.

"Come on, Error! Let's go!" Ink called out, and Error turned with one final sigh and entered with them.

Afterward:

The guys hung out for a while, as Darken and Error seemed to grow more comfortable talking to one another since Darken would keep the conversation going and eventually Error grew interested to learn more about him. Though Darken didn't give too many specifics like where his world was, he gave enough indication to Error that he had no need to really care about it since it's condition wasn't the best. Though the two talked for a while as Ink and Dream would occasionally jump in as well.

As the guys were getting ready to part ways, Error sent a few texts to Mirror to let her know he was going to go see her soon and to get ready, and she was telling him about another world they could go to to try out some sushi they sold there. For just a moment, Error's expression relaxed as he read her message, picturing her face saying each word to him with her bright smile and lively voice. Dream sensed the smallest glimmer as he looked towards him, which made Ink look as well since he was in the middle of talking to him. Ink looked over Error's shoulder and caught a glimpse of his phone.

"Well you seem pretty happy suddenly. Who are you talking to?" Ink asked, reading the name before Error pulled away and hid his phone.

"None of your freaking business! Why the heck are you looking at my phone anyway?!"

"Aw, come on. How could someone named Mirror be no one? Did you actually make a friend without me?" Ink asked with a playful smile as Error glared at him.

"Mirror… I don't believe I've heard of that name before," Dream said.

"..." Darken said nothing and just listened with a smirk.

"Ugh! You shifty-eyed idiot! Don't just go saying her name like that after reading my phone! She's just an acquantance," Error said.

"Gasp! You met a girl? Is she your girlfriend? GASP! Is THAT why you couldn't hang out with us yesterday? HAHA! Man you should have just told me, I would have understood if you wanted time alone with her," Ink said.

"She's not my girlfriend!" Error yelled out.

"Just because they hang out doesn't make them a couple. They could just be friends," Dream said.

"Yeah, it's more likely that their friends and nothing more since that seems to be the highest level Error could go anyway," Darken said, and Dream looked at him wide eyed when Error appeared in front of Darken and grabbed him by the collar.

"You're just icthing for a fight, aren't ya, pal?" Error said.

"I ain't your pal, bud," Darken said as he slapped off Error's hand with a small energy ball of some sort.

"I ain't your bud, dude," Error said as he brought out his strings.

"I ain't your dude, friend," Darken said as he brought forth electrifying bones with an amused grin.

"I ain't your friend, punk!" Error said.

"Oh dear. Please guys, no fighting!" Dream insisted.

"Come on guys, let's be reasonable," Ink said, also trying to calm down the tension between the two skeletons.

Later:

"Wouldn't have thought a hang out would turn into a brawl," Mirror chuckled, as they were exiting a restaurant in another AU.

"Yeah, but I won so it's alright now," Error said.

"Oh? And I'm sure that patch on your cheek wasn't from him almost knocking you out," Mirror said with a wink, and Error turned towards her with narrowed eyes.

"… He's not a punk. He's clever. But if we did finish the fight, I'm sure I'd win, so therefore I won," Error said with a triumphet nod.

"Hehehe. Okay, okay. Do you want some ointment for it or something?" Mirror said, pointing to her backpack.

"Nah, it's fine," Erorr said as he took the bandage off and showed that the former bruise was gone.

"Ooh, cool. Nice to have your whole pretty face back," Mirror said with a grin, as Error quickly averted his gaze from her compliment.

"Well, I guess I'll see you later then. Although, I don't know where to go yet, but we'll figure it out tomorrow," Mirror said, as she opened a portal to the forest.

"Are you from that forest? What's over there?" Error asked.

"… Hmm. I'm not from there, but I kind of live there. I like it so I keep it safe. It's nothing really much like an AU, it's mostly forest and land and animals, but it's peaceful though," Mirror said.

"Then where are you from?" Error asked.

Mirror didn't respond at first until she smiled a little sadly and said, "I'd rather leave that for when I get to know you better."

Although still curious, Error decided to not pry, especially since he had refrained from answering some of her questions that had to do with his past.

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow. Early," Error said, and Mirror nodded and left with a sweeter smile.

After she left, Error didn't immediately return to the antivoid but decided to take a walk towards a wooded area nearby. His mind drifted towards her and the time they spent together, recalling espcially how their hands would happen to brush against one another when reaching for condiments, and yet it didn't bother him since it was her hand. He felt a comfort and a confliction at the same time, and it irritated him as he kicked a rock and it happened to smack into two birds.

'What the heck am I doing? I'm going out with a girl I just met two days ago and find to be so annoying, but I can touch her hand and not care?! And I don't want to see her but I want to see her?!' Error complained to himself as he stomped his way into the woods.

"… These feelings make no sense!" Error yelled out as he grabbed a hollow tree on the floor and crushed it with his strings.

Error breathed out in annoyance and thought, 'That's it. I'm not seeing her anymore. I don't care! I can't see her and that's that. I'll tell her right to... her… face…'

His thoughts returned to her sweet smiling face, recognizing trust in her eyes towards him, as for a moment he calmed down.

'… Why would she even look at me that way…? What game is she playing with me? This must be a game! She's still upset I kicked her out and she's getting her revenge by messing with me! That must be it...' Error reasoned.

However, as he walked along he stopped and then said to himself, "It must be but… why don't I believe it?"

Error placed his hand over his chest, as he knew he was being a bit unreasonable, especially since she wasn't there to argue with about this. He chuckled to himself,

"It's not as fun without her...-"

A roar sounded out as a terrified screech followed shortly after that startled him as he turned towards it's direction. He stealthily traveled towards where the screams came from within the treetops and then spotted two rabbit monsters running with all of their might away from something. One of them held a small bunny who was shivering in her arms, while the other bunny was helping her along. They kept running along back to the city, as Error stood by to see if hecould catch a glimpse of the creature chasing them. The steps of the creature weren't loud which made it hard to track, but it's large form was easier to spot when it walked out in the forest opening Error was watching over as his eyes widened.

The creature appeared to be a dragon with some fur on it's face that spreaded over it like a wolf's as well as the white and black fur on it's whole back. The scaly body was burgendy with a black shine and steel jagged blade on the end of the tail. Upon it's head the branching horns were black with red stains on them, and it's clawed feet were white and sharply pointed as well as it's fanged teeth. Within it's annoyed gaze were eyes of dark burgendy that became red in the iris and lighter red withn the black outlined pupil. This burly creature lazily roared as it scratched the ground in disappointment.

"Good grief. Now I must hunt again. Annoyingly loud monsters looking like game, and even worse when humans are so concerned for them. Bah! How bothersome," the beast complained in a double voice with one that sounded like a deep gurgle and another that sounded like low feminine voice.

Error felt a nostalgia in the back of his mind, but ignored it when the Beast sniffed the air with it's slightly narrowed nostrils and suddenly turned towards his direction hidden in the tree leaves.

"Are you prey, or are you vermin? Reveal yourself or else I'm come for you, and I'm pretty ticked off at the moment," The beast commanded.

Though he would have preferred to leave quickly, considering it was a hunter and had caught his scent and location so quickly, he decided it was better to reveal himself then have it chasing after him. Error jumped down from the tree and stood before the beast, but not too close obviously. Upon closer inspection, Error noticed how the fangs would bend inward like a serpant's, and that dark red and grey stains were on her chin.

"Hmph. Not even prey. How disappointing for my gut… though looking at you more carefully, you seem to be a skeleton, so I shouldn't expect a thin mint like you to have much value anyway," the beast said as she sniffed the ground and swished her tail.

"Wow, lucky me, I come to find an annoying beast with a big mouth," Error said as he put his hands into his pockets.

"Oh no how tragic for you, trashbag. Why don't you go find a child to kill in your own world," She said with a cleaer grin on the last three words, as Error glared at her.

"… You already know who I am. Who the hell are you?" Error asked, taking one of his hands out of his pocket.

"I suppose it's fair to tell you since I already know well enough about you. I am a creature related to a terrorizer from the darkness and manifested into corruption, usually known by that name, but also referred to as 'Ciara.' Though I am specifically known as Maul. M-A-U-L," the beast known as Maul said, as she seemed to circle him, though Error kept his face towards her.

"Oh I see. You're part of that corrupted group then. I've heard of you guys, but I didn't bother to look further since you guys haven't been so active," Error said.

"Hmm, I can tell you haven't met one of us before. It's fine though. The others wouldn't have spoken to you so openly. I'm one of the few who don't care to mingle a bit," Maul said with a toothy grin.

"Why so confident? Or is that overconfidence?" Error asked.

"Because no one has stood up to me and lived for long," Maul said as the fur on her back rose up in sharp quills as black fog emiited from it, while her eyes glowed in a fiery haze and the glimmer of grin appeared on her face for a moment.

Error wasn't one to be startled so easily besides his haphephobia and Ink or Fresh appearing out of nowhere, but even when facing his opponent clearly in front of himself he felt an extreme uneasiness that made him freeze in place. His momentary paralysis was noticed by Maul who relaxed and waved her head as the fog cleared and her expression showed amusement.

"My my. We just met and yet you are completely terrified of me. Today is a good day, though my stomach is still hungry. Farewell for now, trash. I must find my fill or I shall indeed go mad," Maul said, as she turned and opened a dark portal that emitted grey smoke.

"By the way… your name is supposedly Error, yes? And you are somewhat of a Sans, I believe?" She asked.

Error was able to move again, and although realized his paralysis may have been from the smoke she emitted he retained his anger and replied,

"Yeah. What of it?"

"Ah, I see I see… Hmm… how terrible it must be for a Sans to be all alone in such terrible isolation in a world that never answers back. Heh heh heh. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for you. In a way, your situation is quite familiar to some of us. It'll be nice wouldn't it…" Maul turned towads him with asly grin and added,

"Once you end up Just. Like. ME."

Error took a step back as he looked at her with bewildered disgust while Maul chuckled with an inner deviousness as she ended the portal and disappeared. After a moment of silence to take what had just happened, Errir quickly left the world, in disappointment in himself of letting himself be intimidated by the corrupted fiend known as Maul.

Two days later:

"What about white chocolate? It tastes good too," Mirror asked, as she and Error were walking around Outertale, the space AU where the stars are above and below you on the various platforms of ground.

"Nah, regular chocolate is the best. White chocolate becomes too smooth after a while," Error said, while he took a chomp of a chocolate popsicle he had, while Mirror shrugged and bit her white chocolate version of her popsicle.

Error hadn't informed Mirror of his meeting with Maul. He didn't want her to know that he froze up like that.

"So, where should we go to next?" Mirror asked, finishing up her popsicle.

"Hmm. How about we go to that foresty world of yours," Error suggested, finishing his popsicle and tossing it off the cliff, but because gravity doesn't care the stick flew upward.

"Oh! You want to go to there? Why?" Mirror asked, also tossing her popsicle stick as it flew upwards.

"You've seen my world, so I want to see yours," Error said, as he placed his hands in his pockets.

"Weeell... okay. Let's go," Mirror said, as she opened the portal to the forest.

They both walked through to the forest world that happened to be going closer to the fall season so the tree leaves were beginning to turn yellow. There were wild flowers and various species of plants and bushes along with animals that roamed around, though most had hidden once they jumped in, but you could still hear them like the birds chirping.

"Huh, so it is a pretty peaceful place... A bit boring though," Error said, speaking his last sentence with a smirk as he turned to see her face grow offended,

"Hey! This world is freaking beautiful and mine! Don't be coming here and dissing it!" Mirror said, as she gestured to it and then crossed her arms.

Error looked at her with his smirk widening, and said, "You're getting defensive~"

Mirror looked down as she noticed her crossed arms, and she put them down with a pout. Error laughed, and Mirror rolled her eyes with a smile since his laugh made her want to laugh with him,

"Alright, come on. I'll give you a tour," Mirror said, and they started walking.

They traveled through the forest, seeing the different animal species roaming around, crossing rivers and creaks, and walking into a cave but immediately running out when they realized a bear lived inside as it growled at them. Error felt the impulse to grab Mirror, but since she was faster in her reflexes she moved quick enough to escape with him, which he was glad about.

Eventually, they settled nearby a river, as they rested there. Some of the little animals approached them, recognizing Mirror, but cautious with Error. Although he didn't want them near him, Error realized that the animals didn't bother him when he petted them, since Mirror told him to do so because grabbing them with his strings would have frightened them.

With a brown rabbit curled on his lap, Error stroked the little creature's soft fur, as Mirror stood up to show him something. She formed a mirror in her hands about two by one foot long and leaned it on a tree next to Error. She walked towards the river, and then dived in without making a splash in the water. Error thought that was strange, but what really freaked him out was when Mirror jumped out of the mirror that was next to him, which also surprised the little brown rabbit.

"Ah! How did you even do that?!" Error asked.

"I can use reflections to enter the Mirror World, and then I can come back from another reflective place. It helps get to places quicker since I use light energy to travel," Mirror replied, sitting besides Error.

"Mirror World? What's that and why haven't I heard of it?" Error asked.

"Well, it's more of a realm and it's kind of plain and reflects this realm and all the universes and such. It's not an AU even though it reflects others, it's kind of it's own thing, though only someone like me with reflective powers can go there," Mirror replied.

"Huh. Weird… so if it reflects other worlds, does it reflect those that get destroyed or those who don't have worlds and such? Like is there a me over there or something?" Error asked.

"Well, the space where the world was would be blank except for the data that stays behind. I call it reflective data. It's like a record of what was there and all. Not sure why those form but they do. Though I can say I haven't met a you, but I've seen some glitchy data so that might be yours. And yeah it even reflects those without worlds. It reflects anything that can be reflected," Mirror replied.

"Reflective data, eh? Hmm. Sounds like a world could possibly be restored with that data, couldn't it?" Error asked.

"Hmm... good question. I don't know. I just look at the data to see what was there," Mirror replied with a shrug.

"Oh, well alright. It's a little weird to know there is data of me somewhere, but since it's just data then that's fine… who else besides you can go there?" Error asked.

"Well there's me and one of my best friends, but both of us agreed to leave the data alone and just watch over our place to make sure it's okay. That's all," Mirror replied.

"Sounds good then. Might be weird to know if just anyone could access that place and whatever data it has of me there," Error said.

"Hehehe. Well someone feels really chatty, huh?" Mirror giggled.

"Hey! You've been asking about me and I answered. It's only fair you return the favor with my questions this ti-" Error said.

Suddenly a herd of animals started running passed them as the brown bunny spoke to a few bunnies that came by and then started running with them. Error and Mirror stood up as they looked where the herd was coming from.

"What's going on?" Error asked.

"Could be a hunter, a jerk, or all the above. Either way, they're not welcome here!" Mirror said as she summoned forth a translucent scimitar.

A roar sounded as she started running towards the sound, while Error recognized the roar immediately.

"Hold up Mirror!" Error said as he yelled after her.

"I'll be right back, Error! I'm going to chase them out!" Mirror called back as she jumped in the river to move by mirror light.

"Wai- Darn it! I should have told her about Maul earlier!" Error yelled at himself as he quickly traveled ahead with his own portals.

Uh oh
