After saying his farewells to Darken, Dream, and even Error who was still irritated with him, Ink returned back to his own world of suspended papers known as the Doodle Sphere. He was the guardian of Au's and after making his truce with Error, he felt a sense of relief to know that the rest of the worlds were safe, even though he was itching to create some more but had to resist in order to keep his end of the deal.

Ink wore mostly neutral colors between beige and brown, and a dark brown for the under shirt and pants that could be seen, with a light blue jacket tied around his waist and a scarf of brown to beige around his neck. He also wore dark brown suspenders from his shorts to the short beige shirt he wore on top of his under shirt. Ink's eyes would change colors and shapes every so often besides having just white pupils as many Sanses do, usually depending on his emotions too.

With the power of ink and his dear giant paintbrush to accompany him, he hung around there for a while, checking upon the worlds there and taking account each one, especially since his memory was questionable in regards to remembering things even in the middle of a conversation. His sash of vials were a little more then half empty, so he knew he had to leave eventually in order to fill them. Without those vials giving him emotions for his soulless body, he wouldn't be able to function properly after a while, which would be pretty bad since anyone would be able to control him at that point.

Though now he was distracting himself with a doodle so that his curiosity wouldn't get the better of him to visit Error and meet the girl he has been talking to. But sooner then he thought, Ink felt a disturbance as he headed to the world where it was coming from, while also sensing something familiar. He entered the forest world as he turned and peeked through some bushes to see a beast yelling at Error as it entered a portal and disappeared. By instinct, Ink began to draw the beast before he forgets what it looks like and then stopped when he peered up and noticed Error picking up a girl.

'Is that… her?' Ink thought as he examined the girl the best he could for the moment he could before Error took her away.

"… Was he HOLDING her?!" Ink screamed out in surprise as he popped out of the bushes.

Silence answered him as he was taking a moment to process this, and then he looked down at his drawing.

"Oh! Wait! First I should do something about this…" He thought outloud to himself, as he created a few more drawings of the creature, though the drawing itself wasn't too bad since he had the main features and all.

Ink left the forest world and sent the copies he made to a few people to warn them about the demon beast that wondering around since it did flee. Afterward, Ink wanted to go see Error, but when he took a peek in the antivoid, he saw that Error was busy showing the girl some worlds through a few portals. Deciding against bothering them since Error did just get out of a fight and might strangle him, Ink quickly left and headed out for a venture that Darken had recommended to him.

He entered the another world that was foresty but seemed to resemble more of a jungle. Darken had recommended for him to see the world since it had such lovely scenery, but to be wary to not be seen by a certain person who lived there or else there would be hell to pay. Giving in to his curiosity and agreeing to stay wary, Ink went along into the world and noted the various colors of the greenery and was so far enjoying it. Then he began to hear a melody as he followed it to a clearing near a cliff and realized it was the voice of a girl singing in a different language.

The cliff had a lovely scenery with a lake and petals in the wind as she was standing near the cliff with a canvas set before herself on an easel. Her loose hair was white with black ends that reached just passed her shoulder with bangs and twirled hair on the sides of her cheeks, and she wore white bell-sleeved shirt with a black band on the waist and white long pants. The pants had pastel designs on them, while the thin black undershirt she wore that showed since the bell sleeves sometimes hung down when she moved her arms also had pastel designs on them. She also carried a white backpack with a black top flap that had a white hamster face drawn on it.

Ink walked over to meet the girl since she wasn't who he was said to avoid and was excited to meet a fellow artist as he spoke,

"Hey there, Ms! I couldn't help but notice you here! Mind if I say hello?"

She stopped singing as she turned towards him, and Ink's eyes widened to see that her eyes sparkled in silver and matched the scarf she wore perfectly. He was surprised by her beauty as the setting sun behind her made her eyes more luminous, and even put him in a form of trance.

"… Uhh, sure you can. Hello sir. May I ask for your name?" She asked, raising a brow when at first he just blinked a few times.

"Oh right! Yes, eh hem, my name is Ink and I was wondering about what you were painting. I'm an artist so I'm always curious to see what a person is creating," Ink said as he took a few steps closer to her.

Her eyes brightened up as she smiled and said, "Oh cool, a fellow artist! My name is Pen. Though uhh… I'm not drawing this time and I don't know what you would think of creative writing."

Ink looked at her questionably and asked, "Creative writing?"

"Here, let me show you," Pen said, as she put her pen in her pocket and moved over to let Ink look at the canvas.

The canvas, which was actually a stack of tall paper, had words written across it in italics with certain words written in different colors and little flowers near some of the letters. He read some of it, and realized that the words described the scenery before them.

"Ahh! You're a writer! Though I suppose that is somewhat of an artist, you have to formulate sentences to create a story while an artist straight up draws it," Ink said with his hand on his chin.

"Yeah, not totally an artist in the drawing sense, but you could say I'm an imaginary artist since I have my readers picture the story in their minds," Pen said with a grin, her fanged tooth showing as Ink felt his cheekbones warm up.

"Hearing it like that, you make it sound even more amazing. Can I read some of your work? And hey, maybe I can paint it sometime," Ink said cheerily.

"Oh my. That would be rather nice, though I'm a bit nervous. I usually show my work to people I'm close to, like my fellow Curtains," Pen said.

"Curtains… Hey, well I too have some fellow Sans as my friends. Though now that I've gotten to looking at you… you remind of someone I've seen before," Ink said, as he examined her.

"I have heard the name Sans before. There is one who lives in this world who is seldom seen. Darkess says he's been isolated for a bit and only Darken sees him," Pen said.

"Darken?! I just met Darken a few days ago! He told me to come here and be wary to not be seen by him! Wait, who's Darkess? Is that a Curtain?" Ink asked.

"Ah! Yes, Darkess is a Curtain," Pen replied, and then Ink threw up goopy ink as his excitement overwhelmed him.

Pen looked at him with widened eyes, as Ink felt embarrassed about throwing up in front of her.

"Are-Are you okay? Are you sick? OH NO, you're sick! Are you dying? OH GOSH you're spitting ink and your name's Ink! It must be your BLOOD! OH GOODNESS you're DYING!" Pen said in a frenzy, as she made the plate in her hand disappear as she grabbed Ink's arm in worry.

"No no! It's okay. I'm fine. This just happens when I'm excited is all. It's no big deal," Ink said, as he reabsorbed the gloop in his hand.

"Are you sure, Ink?" Pen asked with concern over her bright eyes.

"I'm okay, Pen. Really," Ink said, placing his hand over one of her hands that held his arm.

Pen searched his eyes to see if he was telling the truth with narrowed focus, as Ink wondered why she was looking at him like that. Their faces came closer together, as a rainbow blush dusted Ink's cheekbones. Pen relaxed her expression, seeing that Ink was telling the truth, and noticing that he seemed nervous. She looked at her hand, and noticed that his was on her own. Her cheeks dusted in a gray blush, and she slowly pulled away from him, as he did with her.

"Oh, um. Sorry about that. Heh. I'm glad you're okay," Pen said, with a sheepish smile.

"It's alright. Heh heh. I appreciate your concern," Ink said, rubbing the back of his head.

"So, you know Darken, and you've been around other universes, huh?" Pen asked, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.

"Yes, and you know Darkess, so I assume that you can travel to other universes too, right?" Ink asked, also with suspicion in his narrowed eye sockets.

"Hmm, well, I'm not from any universe in particular so I just wander," Pen said, a small smile on her face.

"Me either. But I'm known as the Guardian of the Universes in most of them," Ink said, a smirk on his face.

"Really? I'm known as the Protector of Literary Worlds in some of the ones I've visited," Pen said, her smile growing and her eyes widening in interest of him.

"Protector of Literary worlds? Oh like what you were writing right?" Ink asked, his eyes widening from interest in her.

"Yes. There are worlds that are created based on text, and those are the ones I look after. I keep them safe in my archives, and I can see what's added on to them too. Sometimes I find pieces of text about a person or a place or something around and I collect it so that no one changes or destroys it," Pen said, her eyes brightening.

"Woah. That sounds cool! I didn't realize there were written worlds too! That's amazing! It's... ..." Ink calmed down as he forgot what he was talking about.

"... Ink?" Pen asked as she tilted her head seeing that he seemed frozen.

"Huh? What were we talking about?" Ink asked her.

"Um, I told you I'm the Protector of Literary worlds, which are written worlds or added information about worlds and people that I keep safe," Pen replied.

"There are written worlds?! Amazing!" Ink said.

Pen looked at him in confusion, as Ink recognized that look from other people he met.

"Oh, sorry, did I say that before? Yeah, I kind of have short term memory, so I tend to forget what I'm saying sometimes," Ink said, with a sheepish smile.

"Oh my, did you get hurt or something?" Pen asked, growing concerned again.

"No. No, this just happens. Don't worry, I'm fine," Ink said, reassuringly, and Pen nodded.

"You said you were the Guardian of the Universes right? What's that like?" Pen asked, seeing Ink light up and his eyes changing colors and shapes.

"Well, I live in a place called the Doodle Sphere where the drawings of every alternate universe is suspended and sometimes afloat so I could visit any one of them. I usually jump in only when something big might be going on, especially with Error wanting to destroy them. But since our truce of no more creation and no more destruction has been ongoing, the worlds have been safe so far. I wasn't sure if he would last since I figured he might get bored and attempting to be his friend is hard, but he met a girl recently so... wait! I think she was a Curtain! You have similar hair and that tooth!" Ink said, pointing at Pen's hair and fang.

"Really? Was she a Curtain I know? Do you know her name or how she looks like?" Pen asked.

"I think... she must be the same girl on his phone so I think her name is Mirror," Ink said.

Pen gasped and said, "Oh my gosh! I know her! We're like best friends! Oh wow. It's weird how we know people who met each other, but haven't met ourselves."

"I know right? All this time we never saw each other! Why haven't we met sooner?" Ink said, but then he blushed a bit when he said his last sentence.

"I know right? I mean they know each other right? It's odd that we haven't met... but then again we did meet now," Pen said, not noticing Ink's blush as he was grateful that she didn't.

"Yeah, you're right. I wouldn't have come here now if Error wasn't with Mirror and Darken," Ink said.

"And I probably wouldn't have been here if Mirror wasn't hanging with Error, and if Gold wasn't working... oh! How would you like to go with me to Serentime, Ink? I wanted to go today, but I didn't want to go alone because they have a deal if you go with someone for three days in a row you get a 'Royaltic Treat' or something. Want to go with me? I'd like to know how much more we have in common too," Pen asked, her eyes bright and her grin sweet.

"Another world?! Sure! I'd love to!" Ink said, trying to contain his excitement to not throw up while his curiosity was through the roof.

"Great! Let's go!" Pen said, snapping her fingers and making the canvas and easel disappear.

"So what is place called Serentime, by the way? I haven't heard of this one but it sounds like fun," Ink asked.

"Oh, it's indeed a fun world. Like a carnival but better. You'll see," Pen said, taking a pretty long fountain pen from her pocket.

She opened a portal by writing the word "Serentime" in midair that formed from black ink into the word, and then the portal. Pen gestured for Ink to follow, as he did.

The portal closed, as the two headed to Serentime.
