Legend of the Sword Dancer: A New Beginning
Zelretch was smiling... Oh dear, whatever god may be listening, please send help. Emilya was thinking of countless ways out, her mind going overdrive. She knew that the enhancements Zelretch placed could be linked to the 2nd Magic, so breaking out by brute force is a no go. Magecraft? Nah, she's against someone with better knowledge than her... Entertain the man? Maybe, Kiritsugu and Rin did day Zelretch likes entertainment...
"And that concludes our session." Zelretch said.
"Damn old fart," Emilya muttered. "What session? All you did was talk about this world."
"Did I?"
"YES!"
"You don't actually need therapy." Zelretch explained. "You're fine."
"But they'll suspect things! There is no girl by the name Emilya in this world!" Emilya countered.
"Actually there is a girl around your age named Emilya in Gallia." Zelrectch corrected. "It's quite a common name."
"THAT IS NOT THE POINT!"
"No need to raise your voice young lady."
Silence...
"I need your help..." Emilya said quietly.
"And why must I help?" Zelretch asked.
"Because," Emilya explained. "I need to blend in better. And if I blend in better, I might be able to do my work here without any problems."
"But that would take out the fun part." Zelretch said. "The struggles of a protagonist in a different world, I wonder if you also get a harem... I know a reverse-harem!"
"A what!?" Emilya screamed.
"But since that is already as cliche as it is," Zelretch continued before offering Emilya a piece of paper. "Here."
Emilya wearily took the paper.
"It's not enchanted."
"I just want to be sure."
She began reading it. It tells the story of a girl who ran away form home after her father and mother died. The story was done in a question and answer format. There written in Japanese were questions about Emilya, and then answers that were "from" her.
.

.
"Wha-"
"That shall be your story my dear." Zelretch smiled. "Pretty clever, don't you agree. I made it a while you were in deep thought"
Before Emilya could answer back, the door opened.
A few minutes passed as Emilya and the Old Man entered the room. Outside the room, the adults were chatting about and the woman who called herself the establishment's receptionist was busy arranging some paperwork when the doors of the establishment opened. In came a man with a green coat with gold trimmings and tassels ending in fur trimmings over a white clothes and black pants.
"Doctor Dvalin," the receptionist stood and greeted. "Your mentor Lord Zelretch is currently in your office with a patient."
"Oh dear..." Dvalin said. "How long were they in?"
"A few minutes before you arrived."
"Good we still have time." Dvalin said walking directly to the door of his office.
"Hello Dvalin," Zelretch greeted the man who open the door. "I trust you are done with the morning call?"
"I do believe that my patient is suffering from trauma Master Zelretch," Dvalin said. "I hope you have not increased it."
"Not to worry Dvalin, I assume you will take over?" Zelretch said as he stood up. "I managed to get a few questions answered."
"I suppose I'll take my leave." Zelretch handed Dvalin a sheet of paper before leaving the room. Yet before he closed the door he said a few words. "Oh and Emilya, I hope you remember to re-inforce yourself."
Dvalin gestured Emilya to once again take a seat. He sat beside her with the sheet Zelretch handed. His he had a worried look on his face as he read the notes.
"Oh Brimir..." the doctor sighed. "You have been through much. Yet how did he get all this in a few minutes?"
"He asked questions, I answered." Emilya answered. "He did do something weird before that..."
"Ah... The old [Hypnosis] treatment..." Dvalin realized. "I hope your ward will not pin the blame on me. Lord Laurence has quite the connections."
"I'll tell him it was Zelretch."
"Thank you." Dvalin replied. "Since Master Zelretch has done the questions, I suppose we will have to proceed with how to cope with your trauma."
The doctor pulled out his wand, "You are still young, a simple [Memory Supression] should do the trick."
Emilya realized what he is about to do, and what Zelretch's parting words meant, and reinforced herself. Increasing her Magic Resistance to resist the effect of the spell. The doctor didn't realise that the spell was resisted, and stood up. He called for both Laurence and Davion to come inside and seat themselves. He then walked towards a large bookshelf and started looking for something. Emilya managed to get a peek at the sheet handed by Zelretch only to scowl as she cannot read it. Somehow Zelretch must have translated it from Japanese to Halkeginian. He must have found what he was looking for since he took a book and handed it to Laurence.
"The child has been through a lot Laurence, I recommend a weekly visit for me to check her mental state," Dvalin explained. "Master Zelretch has, possibly, used a [Hypnosis] on the child to get answers. A method I may disagree with, but will also implement if the patient is uncooperative."
He then handed the book and sheet to Laurence. "Family is her main problem, she lost both mother and father, and ran away to escape her grandfather's manipulation. I cast a simple memory supression spell upon her, targeting everything her grandfather has done."
"[Hypnosis] and [Memory Suppression]?" Laurence asked, he already has a possible idea what the doctor is describing. "Why would your mentor resort to [Hypnosis]? And why [Memory Suppression]?"
"I apologize Lord Mailliart," Dvalin said. "I was late in interrupting my Mentor in fear for the child's safety. But Master Zelretch's methods may be strange, but it get's the job done."
"As for the [Memory Suppression," Dvalin explained. "She is still a child Lord Mailliart, she can still create better memories."
"I suppose you are right," Laurence muttered as he read the sheet. "But of all countries it had to be Germania. You say she is Germanian?"
"Her father's name Kiritsugu de Emiya, the name is not Germanian of Origin, possibly Gallian or Albionian." Dvalin answered. "Tristainian is not a possibility for I have not heard of the name Emiya."
"Nor have I." Davion added.
"Regardless," Dvalin continued. "The child is lucky to have found her way to you. Any other Noble would have probably returned her to Germania."
Laurence was elated after hearing the news. He has enough evidence to help his case to adopt the child.
"Doctor Dvalin," Laurence said. "If we were to be called by his Majesty or his Cardinal Sergio, will you testify for the child?"
"I would if I could Lord Mailliart," Dvalin answerd. "But Master Zelretch was the one who did the questioning."
"But you were the one who interpreted it." Laurence continued.
"Might I ask why must I be present?"
"I plan to adopt the child."
Emilya found herself once more on a carriage en route to the capital Tristania, this time however, she is with the Mailliart family. A few days since that meeting with Zelretch, and hearing about Laurence adopting her. This time, they will be in the presence of the Cardinal, and the King. Form what Emilya gathered, Laurence sent a message to Duke de la Vallerie, and he told both Cardinal Sergio and King Phillip. Once they arrived at the castle, both Emilya and the Mailliart family were escorted to the Courtroom.
"Young Majesty, Your Excellency." the Mailliart family bowed in the presence of the King and Cardinal, and Emilya followed suit.
"You may raise your heads." King Phillip commanded. "Is this the child you speak of Lord Mailliart?"
"Yes your majesty." Laurence replied.
"I see," King Phillip said. "At first glance she indeed looks like your daughter Lord Mailliart."
"As you say so your majesty."
"Both Cardinal Sergio and my Advisers advised me not to allow your plan," King Phillip said. "She is after all a child of Germania, and should her family ask of her it would paint us in bad light."
"I understand the political implications your majesty but-"
"Yet if the letters form Lord Schweinorg and Doctor Laurent are true," King Phillip continued, before showing a small smile. "Then her family may have already proclaimed her dead."
"Many thanks your majesty." Laurence thanked.
"You are a friend Lord Mailliart," King Phillip replied. "But do not interrupt me again in the future. Cardinal Sergio, shall oversee the adoption rite."
Said Cardinal took a step forward, bowed to the King and proceeded towards the Family, behind him another mage with his wand ready. He held in his hands a small copper basin.
"Lord and Lady Mailliart," Cardinal Sergio explained. "This adoption rite is called [Blood Adoption] and involves a small amount of blood form the two of you. This ritual was once used in secret to provide an heir to Albion six generations ago. The results were substantial, and the Ring of Wind recognized the adopted child as Albion's Heir."
He handed them a small ritual knife. Laurence made a small gesture directed towards Karin and Emilya, and the Palace Doctor noticed it, standing before the two and blocked their view. Laurence and Eileen then placed a small cut on their palms, after the small amount of blood needed was gathered. The mage then conjured a small amount of water, and chanted a healing incantation.
"Young lady." Cardinal Sergio gestured for Emilya. "Do not be afraid."
Emilya then stretched out her arm, and the Cardinal made a small cut on her palm. He then lowered her hand into the basin, her blood mixing with Laurence and Eileen's. The Cardinal began chanting, and the basin began to glow. Emilya felt as if something was crawling into the cut on her palm. When the Cardinal was done, the bowl was empty and her palm had a healed.
"From now on you are Emilya de l'acier de Mailliart." Cardinal Sergio declared. "Daughter of Lord Laurence de Mailliart and Lady Eileen de la Vallerie nee Marilarc."
Karin was happy by the proclamation. She was happy, she finally has a sibling. She finally has someone to share the pain of training to be a proper lady. And this someone was the person who helped her with her train with a sword, and magic. After the ritual, her father went with the cardinal while she, her mother and her now sister were being escorted by the guards to the carriage.
"Welcome to the family Emilya." Eileen smiled. "Since you now bear the Mailliart name, starting tomorrow, you will join me and Karin with etiquette lectures in the morning."
"Sister." Karin smiled.
"As for your afternoon tutoring," Eileen continued. "I will ask Laurence if you will also join Karin with Sir Venti, you are an Earth Mage after all."
Laurence sat in a small table with Cardinal Sergio, King Phillip and Duke de la Vallerie. They are in a secured room enchanted with [Silence] so no one outside the room will be able to hear them.
"You are taking a big risk Laurence." Cardinal Sergio began. "When I cast [Detect Magic] upon the child I could not believe my eyes."
"I had the same thoughts your excellency." Laurence admitted. "Same as my wife when I saved her from falling from the skies."
"Her Magic Aura is truly unique." King Phillip admitted. "Your's and Lord Vallerie's theory about her being blessed by Lord Brimir's Void could be true. If that is true, Germania has suffered an immense loss."
"Sadly your majesty it is not." Cardinal Sergio said. "The holy text describe Lord Brimir's Aura of Magic as "black-purple", her silver aura is most likely a subset of the Earth Element, as silver can be transmuted from earth."
"Meaning?" Laurence and Duke asked.
"It means that like your true daughter, who can only use wind Laurence," Cardinal Sergio explained. "The child named Emilya may not be able to use any other element besides earth. Laurence, I do not know whether you are blessed indeed, or cursed with a terrible burden."
"Your daughter Karin, the girl who calls the wind to her side freely. And your adopted daughter Emilya, the girl with silver aura."
POST CHAPTER NOTES:
I cannot find any info regarding the Einzbern/Illya's elemental alignment. All I found was Kiritsugu who is both Fire and Earth. So I'm sticking with Sword for Emilya.
Paracelsus gave the Black- Purple color for Ether (Void). As for other elements I'm going video game logic.
Red = Fire
Blue = Water
Green = Wind
Yellow = Earth
