Chapter 3: Mascara Tears

Dee was walking slowly to Nazz's house as she was breathing in and out. As she looked the road she saw Kevin on his motorcycle slowly pulling up to her. He was wearing a a rock band t shirt and some faded jeans. He looked her up and down. "Hi I'm Kevin, are you related to Double Do..I mean Double D," he said smiling at her. Dee smiled due to Kevin being so charming. "Well Kevin if I'm being honest.." before Dee could finish there was shouting from Nazz's house "Kev boy, come help Rolf with this keg that holds less of what nana drinks yes?" Rolf said as he tried to get the keg to pour beer. "Listen I hope we get to meet more at the party," Kevin said as he quickly ran to assist Rolf.

LOUD MUSIC AND PEOPLE DANCING

"Kevin you made it dude," Nazz said drinking a shot and slowly kissing Kevin. "Babe I told you not to drink so much," he said as he wiped his lips. "Come on Kevin don't be such a party pooper," Nazz said as she tried pulling him to the dance floor. "Hey Nazz who is that girl, is she one of the new cheerleaders," Kevin said still eyeing Dee. "No I don't know who she is, but she must be related to Double D since they look almost similar only she is hot," Nazz said making a meowing sound. Just as Dee found Ed and Eddy she felt someone grab a hold of her arm. "Hey beautiful, want to dance," a drunk jock who came closer to Dee's face and tried to kiss her cheek. "I'm sorry but I don't dance," Dee said nervously trying to get out of his grip. "Come on don't be a bitch and dance with me," he said grabbing her tighter and pulling her into him. He started grabbing Dee all over her body. "Please stop I don't want to dance," Dee said with fear in her eye. "Your like ever other slut, what do you want money, what," he said grabbing Dee's hips. "No please I just want to be left alone," Dee said trying to pull off of him. Suddenly Kevin grabbed the guy by his shirt and pulled him off. "I don't think you heard the lady, she said she didn't want to dance Tom," Kevin said as he looked at Dee. "Ease up Kevin you already got a girl, let me have this one," Tom said grabbing Dee's arm. The crowd was around them. Dee trying to get lose from Kevin and Tom's grip. "Gentlemen please, your.." before Dee could finish she was thrown a side landing on the floor. "I've wanted to beat your ass since you got my position as captain," Tom said as he spat on the floor where Dee was. "It's not my fault you were caught using steroids," Kevin said cracking his knuckles. As Tom lunged at Kevin, Kevin quickly upper cut Tom. This made Tom mad he quickly got up and landed a hit on Kevin's nose causing a nose bleed. Fist were flying and it wasn't till Kevin landed a fist in Tom's jaw that he stayed down. As it happened Ed and Eddy quickly went to Dee's side to help her up. "Are you okay doub.. I mean Dee," Eddy said checking her arms. "Eddy I'm scared," Ed said rocking side to side. "Let's get out of here," Eddy said but before he knew it he saw Dee take out a first aid from her purse. "Give me a moment gentlemen," Dee said slowly walking to Kevin while his back was still turned.

THE CROWD CHEERING ON KEVIN FOR WINNING

"Guys get Tom out of here, he always ruins my parties," Nazz said opening the door. Two football players picked Tom off the floor while Nazz picked up Tom's jacket. "I'll be back guys," Nazz said rushing to the guys holding Tom. Kevin felt a small tap on his shoulder. He had a napkin covering his nose from bleeding. "Perhaps I can be of assistance Kevin," Dee said grabbing Kevin's hand to rush to the bathroom. She sat Kevin on the toilet and began to lift the napkin off of him. Kevin still in shocked by her beauty could smell her sweet perfume. "Nazz never smells this good," he said out loud accidentally. "I beg your pardon," Dee said blushing as a even redder Kevin looked down "nothing sorry," he said. " I didn't mean to cause any trouble," Dee said looking at Kevin's nose. "Hey it's okay it was just a hit nothing more," Kevin said smiling at a worried Dee. "Her hands are so soft and her body is just amazing," Kevin thought to himself, but he could already feel himself getting hot in the face. "Well it's not broken, but perhaps some ice for the swelling," Dee said slowly cleaning up the mess. Just as she was done washing her hands she looked at Kevin. "Thank you for saving me, really it meant a lot," Dee said about to walk out from the restroom when she felt Kevin grab her hand. "What's your name ?" Kevin asked still cracking a smile at her. "I'm Dee," she said slowly. "Maybe we can catch a movie or go riding on my motorcycle," Kevin said as he slowly squeezed her hands. "What about Nazz you both have been together since we were freshmen," Dee said shyly. "How do you know that ?" Kevin said but before he could get an answer Ed and Eddy walked in. "Thanks for saving Sockhead back there shovelchin," Eddy said but covered his mouth and looked at Kevin and Dee. "Sockhead? Double Dork!?"Kevin thought looking at Dee and then finally realized who Dee was. "I'm so sorry Kevin I was trying to explain, but, I.. I'm sorry," Dee said running out of the restroom with Eddy and Ed running after her. "She is Double D," Kevin said to himself still feeling his heart race. "Why do I feel so warm and nervous," Kevin said quickly standing up and running to try to catch up with Dee.

"Please Dee I'm sorry," Eddy said feeling so bad "I'm still getting use to your name, and new pronouns," Eddy said feeling so bad. Dee turned to them "gentlemen I understand, but please stay at the party and let me have my alone time." Dee said wiping the mascara tears from her face. Eddy and Ed stopped at Nazz's door as Nazz walked in "what's going on with her," Kevin slowly came out the house as well. "I've got to go, I'll text you later," Kevin said rushing to his motorcycle and quickly riding to Dee's direction. Kevin couldn't understand it, he had never seen Double D in that way but with Dee it's different he wanted to see her again. He wanted to see those blue eyes and long black hair. He wanted to smell that sweet perfume again. "Why am I getting so hot thinking about Dee," Kevin said slowly reaching the woods were Dee ran too. "I want to see her one more time, she can't be Double D," Kevin said walking into the woods. "I need to hear her say it," Kevin said seeing a crying Dee laying on the grass.
