"Congratulations Dewey!"Huey said as he saw Dewey coming over to him.
"Thank you!" Dewey smiled, desperately trying to hide how panicked he was. Everything was happening so fast . One second he proposes to Gosalyn in Darkwing tower, and facing the wrath of her father during the wedding preparations and the next, he's a father!
Twins they said. A boy and a girl.
"You think Eliza will like them?"Eliza was Huey's daughter.Dewey wondered if Huey and his wife were this nervous when they had her.
Why was he even asking himself this when he already knew the answer was yes?
"Hard to tell since they only came into existence a few days ago and Eliza's been around for like, two years." Huey replied.
"Good point."
There was a pause.
"Do you think that I'm ready to be a dad?"
Hueylooked at his younger brother, the one who'd been so energetic and bright and adventurousand so, so many other things. Looking down and sounding so unsure and scared.
"Well. You've had some pretty good influences. Uncle Donald, Drake, even Uncle Scrooge to a certain extant."
"Don't forget goofy. Or you." Huey was flattered.
"I think you're ready Dewey. You've matured a lot."
"Yeah. I guess you're right."
Slowly, Dewey's posture started to straighten out. He wasn't slouching or holding his head down anymore. And slowly, a smile started to grow on his face.
Huey grinned. "So are you going to go in and see your new kids and their lovely mother or what?"
"I am!" Dewey cried, raising a fist up in the air and then running into the nursery.
Correction: Naruto running into the nursery.
Huey chuckled. Dewey's changed a lot but he's never changed that much.
He heard a smash sound from inside the nursery.
"OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY!" Dewey yelled from inside.
Huey froze. He didn't break an egg did he?"
"Don't worry!" He heard Gosalyn say from inside the nursery. "It's only a vase!"
Huey laughed to himself. Now he knew Dewey had never changed.
