"Clemont, I need your help!" Ash asked loudly as he ran across the hallway to the gym leader's office only for him to stop dead in his tracks. Once he opened the door, the young Monarch saw two gym leaders sharing a meal together on a table complete with candles. He blinked a couple of times to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.

'Clemont and Korrina?' He thought with astonishment.

Clemont cleared his throat before speaking. "Hey Ash, maybe next time you can knock?"

"Oh sorry about that." Ash scratched his head aimlessly.

"Nah it's ok Ash, so...what do you need my help for?"

"I just needed some advice for first date stuff." Ash confessed, hoping that Clemont had some good information about the whole dating process, but before Clemont could get a word out, Ash heard a small giggle coming from the roller-skater girl sitting across the table.

"Pffft...you're asking Clemont for dating advice?" Korrina gushed trying to suppress her laughter. The whole story behind their relationship started when Bonnie became a full-on matchmaker two years ago. Bonnie was the one who pushed Clemont to actually confess to her.

"Hey!" Clemont complained.

"What? It's true because it took you months to actually have the nerve to hold my hand." Korrina huffed playfully.

"I-I just wasn't sure if you were comfortable with it." He defended trying to save his pride. The two Kalos gym leaders ended up in a tiny playful banter and Ash just awkwardly walked backwards to get out of whatever he was watching. He closed the door gently and whistled.

"Wow." Was the only thing he could say after that display. He was probably going to ask Bonnie about Clemont's relationship with Korrina the next time he saw her but for now, the amber-eyed champion decided it was best for him to start sleeping soon if he wanted any energy for his first date. He strolled down the hallways to find an open guest room. Unfortunately, they were taken by his fellow tournament members and he gave up his for Serena. As time passed, Ash put his rough gloved hands in his pockets and began to walk to the main conference room. The vast room was dark and quiet, the atmosphere was silent and cold. Perhaps a bit too cold to be normal. Ash swiftly turned around to see red eyes lurking near him.

"Gengar, you can come out of the shadows now." He chuckled before yawning. His Pokémon unphased itself to be seen and floated above him.

"Gen...?" The ghost Pokémon seemed to question his trainer. Ash looked at him and smiled assuredly "It's ok Gengar, just tired is all." The Monarch walked toward the many windows to see the moon shining all over Lumiose City.

Bright colorful lights placed on the high buildings with snow falling endlessly really added to the whole wintery feel around Kalos. The region was known for its beauty and culture. The fashion was always so classy and luxurious than any other region. The food was of high quality with it's famous appetizers and desserts. The Kalos region was also known for being the region of love, something Ash could agree with. He found a girl who was sweet, kind, and beautiful in his eyes. He really wanted to be with her, to see her smile, to hear her laughter. Ash could never fully understand why he felt all of this so suddenly but he didn't deny any of it. Tomorrow he was going to make her smile, and give a proper confession that she rightfully deserves. Ash felt terrible for being an oblivious idiot to Serena's feelings during their journey and he hoped he could make it up going forward.

He kept on thinking and thinking until his Gengar nudged his head before disappearing into a wall, which confused Ash, but he didn't think too much of it. The champion of Alola heard Pikachu scurry in the room, going up the table to wave at him.

"Pika." The mouse Pokémon said tiredly.

"Hey Pikachu." He said as he scratched his partner's head. It was peaceful until Gengar came barging in the room with a magazine in his hands. The ghost Pokémon waved it up in Ash's face, which he took to see what it was. His eyes widened as an idea popped up in his head, the magazine was a brochure of a high class restaurant in the heart of Lumiose City. He stared at the brochure for a couple of seconds before reading it out loud for his Pokémon.

"A perfect place to have a date." He read the slogan.

"Luxurious booths complete with full service."

"Perfect for any romantic outing, the food served on a fine plate with the best drinks of all of Kalos." He continued to flip to the next page to see a picture of the champion Diantha holding a wine glass. That made him chuckle a bit. He read about the waiters, cooks, and what the restaurant had to offer. He could tell it was a very fancy restaurant which means it was probably expensive to dine there but Ash also remembered that he is rich from all of his earnings of being a world Monarch.

'Ah the pros of winning a title.' He thought ever so casually. Ash never really liked boasting about his winnings as he wanted to remain humble as he matured over the years. Back when he was a more of a naive kid, he probably wouldn't shut up about it.

Ash continued to search through the paper until the bottom part caught his eye, a phone number with text below it:

"Special guests such as champions will have extra complimentary service with private dining rooms, fixed with entertainment, extraordinary meals, and expensive gifts."

He grinned as he believed he had found a perfect place for dinner with Serena. He thanked his Gengar for delivering an idea for him. The red-eyed ghost smiled even more as it was happy to be of service to his friend and trainer.

Ash took out his Rotom phone and called the restaurant. The phone rang for a few seconds until someone picked up.

"Hello, my name is Théa, I'm the main reservationist and owner at the Grand Lumiose Restaurant. How may I help you?

"Ah yes I'm Ash Ketchum and I would like to place a reservation for two please."

"Wait- Ash Ketchum as the Monarch!?" She stated with disbelief.

"Uh...yes." He replied.

"Such great news! My husband and I would be so delighted to have you here!"

"That's great so...since I'm the world Monarch do I get the special thing like the brochure stated?"

"Yes that is correct and you wanted it for you and one other?" She questioned through the phone.

"Yes, the names for the reservation are Ash and Serena." Ash finished and he could've sworn the lady almost choked at that statement.

"Sorry, but is this Serena...as in...the Kalos Queen Serena?" She coughed.

"Yes."

"Excuse me, let me deal with something real quick sir."

"Ok..?"

It was silent for a few minutes and Ash heard some things fall in the background making him confused at what was going on. He could hear her talking to either herself or someone else but he could tell she was excited nonetheless. Eventually the lady came back on the phone to speak to Ash with more of a professional tone than earlier.

"Alright, reservations for Ash and Serena are in the records, what time would you like to come in?" She asked in a curious tone.

"At around 6 P.M. Ma'am"

"Good to hear, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here soon, thank you for calling!"

"No problem and thank you."

"Oh and by the way, I always found that you two would make an excellent celebrity couple." With that she hung up the phone.

Ash sighed in relief as he had one part of the date planned out, now it was time to call his friend Goh for advice. Reason why is because Goh and Chloe have been in a relationship for almost two years, meaning they have much more experience than him.

8:25 A.M.

As Morning soon came with the sun shining down on the beautiful city, a certain Kalos Queen woke up after a good night's rest. She stretched out her body to get the feel of the day and looked out the window to see daylight. She grabbed her satchel that had her personal belongings and went toward the bathroom to get ready for the day. She brushed her hair, fixed her ribbon, and washed her teeth. She hummed as she carefully picked out her clothes for her date and her fashion sense had a long black sleeved shirt with a rose skirt reaching to her knees as well as having her signature black stockings. She put on her light pink trench coat and added some makeup to her eyelashes. To finish her outfit she put on her boots and a simple dark blue scarf. She looked at the mirror one final time and thought her outfit was cute, even though she was limited on what clothes she could choose. She grabbed her satchel and slung it over her shoulder.

"I'm ready." She whispered to herself as she began to happily walk out of the bathroom. She made her bed and looked at the city view. Serena could only imagine what her date could bring, but then again, it was Ash, who was unpredictable at times. She glanced at the time which was 12:32 in the afternoon. Serena knew she could be a heavy sleeper but she was glad she woke up at this time, meaning she had time to go around the shops to find some wrapping paper for Ash's gift before their date started. She had a special gift she made for him, she always kept it with her and felt that tonight was a perfect time to have him receive it.

The Kalos Queen walked out of her room to take the elevator down. Once she reached the base of Lumiose Tower, she wrapped her face with her scarf so she wouldn't be recognized as much by the public. The honey blonde took a deep breath and began to travel deeper into the city to find some gift wrap for her present.

12:32 P.M.

"So...you want me to pick you up at the roof of the Grand Lumiose Restaurant?" The Corviknight caretaker questioned with uncertainty.

"Yes sir, and don't worry I already got permission from the owner that you can land there." Ash addressed as he took out his wallet to pay. The taxi driver gently took the money from Ash's hand to count and was caught off guard.

"Holy Arceus!...this...is above the original asked payment!" The taxi driver exclaimed in bewilderment.

"Nah you can keep it, I just really want this night to be special." Ash chuckled before sighing. The Corviknight trainer looked at him before grinning.

"Hey, do you mind if I give you some advice, kid?"

"Sure."

"Ok, this is way above my profession but I can tell that this girl is very special to you, yes?" Ash could only nod to that. "And it looks to me that you two have good chemistry together. But all I want to say is make sure you don't leave her, don't jump into danger head first, and I already know you have an act for that, so please be careful Monarch." He took a breath before speaking again.

"And I will do everything that I can to make sure you get the perfect transportation for your date tonight, Ash."

Ash stared at him before thanking him gratefully. "Thank you so much and yeah I won't try to get into too much trouble!"

"Hey no problem, plus I somehow keep getting involved with you two recently so I thought I would pitch in with some words haha." The taxi driver tipped his hat down as he got in his own taxi cab. "Let's go, Corviknight, we gotta get you ready for tonight." The wings of the twilight bird started to flap and soon they were off to the snowy outskirts.

2:30 P.M.

"Ok just gotta wrap this and...done!"

Serena clasped her hands together as she just finished wrapping her gift for Ash. Her excitement was beginning to overflow to the point that she giggled to herself. She stood up from the gift wrapping table and thanked the clerk before running out of the small gift shop.

"Ok Serena, calm down, this is your first date and it's with your childhood crush no big deal." Serena spoke to calm herself down while walking to the heart of the city. When Serena drew closer and closer to her destination, she started to hold her gift to her heart, making sure it was safe and secure. She was really looking forward to tonight.

3:00 P.M.

'Ok just relax Ash, you can do this, you literally went up against God-like Pokémon before so this shouldn't be scary.' the Monarch fidgeted nervously. He knew he had nothing to be scared of but he couldn't help it. He was standing near the Lumiose Tower which was directly in the heart of the city. He had a flower bouquet for Serena and waited for her to show up any time now.

While he was waiting, snow began to fall, the atmosphere turned gray and white with clouds covering the light of the sun. The wind picked up a bit, making his coat wave around and some flowers started to fly away. He tried to grasp as many as possible but then stopped when he heard her voice call out his name. When he looked up to see her, he was completely mesmerized.

"So...what do you think Ash?" Serena asked while brushing some of hair back. She wanted to impress him and she did just that based on his speechless reaction.

Ash literally pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. His mind began racing as he didn't believe he was actually dating Serena. Now he really felt stupid for not noticing her feelings sooner. He blinked a couple times before finally saying something.

"Uh...um..here!" He panicked while giving Serena the flowers. The honey blonde looked pleasantly surprised for a second before accepting the flower bouquet.

"Oh..um..thank you Ash." She giggled at his behavior. The raven haired boy chuckled awkwardly before reaching his hand to take Serena's. They both looked at each other but blushed immediately after.

Ash cleared his throat and glanced at his date. "Are you ready for our date Serena?"

"Mhm!" Serena nodded before getting pulled by Ash unexpectedly.

"Well let's get going then!" Ash began to run with Serena while still being hand in hand. Serena randomly felt the feeling of deja vu but tonight was going to be a whole new experience for the both of them.

To be continued...
